Calling to complain about the crappiest service would not go anywhere. Walk in and order a drink, then ask for a food menu to grab some lunch. While my server Ashley was too busy finger poppin her ass, i had asked this other waitress to just take care of me and take my order, like gossip girls do, word got back to Ashley that I had asked for other assistance and she comes by with my drinks and proceeded to tell me that the blonde waitress would be taking care of me, and I proceeded to say thanks because she obviously couldn't do her job. As she skips away like a child, she then shouts out that "i was never even taking care you b****" please train your staff to have a little more class and respect, not only for their poor selfs, but for your business. This is a very bad place. I took my girlfriend here for her birthday. There was a waitress that was completely rude and unprofessional. She claimed she had 5 tables and a walk out... I wonder why... she was awful. She tried to take orders without a notepad and clearly couldn't do it. Took one drink order at a time for four different people. Also, when we tried to order different drinks she assumed we wanted to same order... then we went to go fix it and she said "you're gonna change the whole order" well if she would've listened the first time .... Verdict: Billy's isn't setting the bar high or low bar but it offers a big one. Billy's has a few things going for it and yet, nothing that gets me running back. They do have over 80 beers on tap. No list at the bar though. You need to go to a site like taplister.com to see your options. It's a good selection but Albuquerque has such a good local brew scene, you'll never be bored with the same old beers. The food isn't bad, especially for a bar/restaurant. The chicken breast salad may be the winner. It's well reviewed and substantial. The pretzel, on the other hand, is just a super pretzel with dipping cheese. I'm from Philly so I'm admittedly a pretzel snob. I got the breakfast burrito with bacon, hash browns, and smothered in green chilé. It was big but it also had a bit of a burned begin aftertaste. You can find better at many local restaurants. All of the entrees were generous portions so you get value for your money. I'd eat and/or drink here again without any protest. Gawsh, I cringe a little just writing this. So the parking lot is big with tons of parking. We go to entry and we have to stand in line like a night club. Ok. No worries. We get seated quickly and its really cute. The waitress came and asked what we wanted. Um, for starters: maybe a menu?!! Finally she brought some and left. The ordering process took forever. We ordered everything at once. So being there for all of 5 minutes, someone got literally dragged out the bar. The male staff are very dominating in this establishment. Not sure if management works here or not cause the behavior was kind of disgusting. Clearly they know everyone in the bar, and made their way around the tables. I only took a bite of my food which I got baja tacos and indian taco. My husbsnd taquitos and wings. I hate to be wasteful but barf. The old fashioned and fireball margarita tasted like an old capri sun. This place needs new management! No plans on ever returning. And hoping if you read this you try something else. Billy's Long Bar has been open in Albuquerque for quite some time. I come here on and off randomly based on the party I am with; it's a nice break from the norm. Every time I have visited Billy's, I have always been carded, which is a great policy to have because of the DWI problem that New Mexico is notorious for. Just the other night I was carded twice upon entry. My only paranoia is that I don't look like my picture on my driver's license, so I have a thought in the back of my head that one of these days I'll be asked to leave. Thank goodness this hasn't happened yet. *knocking on wood* This bar is your average place with plenty to offer from local beer to mixed drinks. The party I was last with over there had anything from domestic to craft to local beers. I prefer to go out with this particular group because we just stick to beer. One of the restrooms in the back is small. I took a picture of it for you to verify. But, hey, it's a toilet conveniently open for those located towards the south side of the building. The restrooms in the front are larger. See for yourself when you go. Still speaking of my last visit: my people agreed to meet here based on the recommendation of my friend who is a bartender. He usually knows other bartenders around the area, and if he doesn't, at least he knows the etiquette. I'll even say, "The reason why he is paying with so many ones is that he is a server too." The waitresses usually joke around and asks, "You mean he isn't getting all of these from stripping?" I will continue to joke by saying, "He gets them from doing that too." We all laugh. It's a great thing Billy's servers can laugh because I have been to other establishments where the help is sort of unfriendly. I think it's best to serve others who are in the industry because we all know what it is like being in the trenches. I will continue to visit Billy's Long Bar like an on and off again bromance because I have always received good service here. Every time I have visited the place is always clean. One of the better places to catch the game or watch a fight and be able to still get some decent food. I've been here several times in my years in Albuquerque and I'm a fan. They have a great beer selection, decent prices, good drinks, friendly staff, and a pretty big menu. This is one of the few bars in ABQ where I can get a salad I really enjoy (fresh romaine, cucumbers, tomato, mushrooms, and grilled chicken) but I can still have a bit of junk food too (try the jalapeño poppers!!!) When they are really busy, the service is a bit iffy, but it doesn't stop me from going there. read more

I have had orders delivered and every order has been wrong. Also, the food is not to my taste. It is greasy and spicy. It tastes like they get it frozen and just warm it up. They play loud music that is irritating when I have to drive past it in the evening. I understand there are people that want to drink too much eat bad food and be exposed to loud music. I come to Billy's to watch sports. They are really a sorts bar, with TVs in every room. They are good about having every NFL game on, for example. Cool. Beer and drink selection is good with multiple local brews. Food is typical bar food, but tasty and a reasonable selection. Bar staff is generally nice, though sometimes a little disinterested. The ladies are very attractive... :) The place kinda has a 'motorcycle bar' feel to it, probably because of the number of motorcycles out front. But it's not scary or weird, so don't let that throw you. One of the better places in town for sports. read more

I've been a fan of Billy's for a long time and consider it one of the 505's little gems! I love it in the summertime most, when you can sit on their covered patio and enjoy a cool beverage (preferably adult) on a hot day! I mostly come during the lunchtime hours when it's not too packed, and sometimes they have great drink/food specials. They have a diverse clientele of young and old alike, meaning it's a good spot to people watch. Service has always been pretty decent when I've been there and food isn't too bad either. I don't drink alcohol so I don't go to Billy's for drinks I go for the thing I love most..... food no seriously Billy's wings are the best wings I've ever tried and it's super cheap!!! They got a selection of flavors but my favorite is spicy garlic it's soooo good (damn I want some wings now ) lemon pepper is also great ask, for some spicy garlic sauce in the side it tastes even better. In my book Billy's wings beats Wing Stop and Buffalo Wild Wings combined. Make sure to ask them to cook them a few extra minutes it tastes better that way. Though the food is great the service, not so much there has been times that we have gone and waited about 10 to 20 minutes for somebody to come and take our drink orders and once our drink orders have been taken they take another 15 minutes to come back and take our food orders but once they do come they are very nice so it makes us forgive them Since Billy's is a bar no kids are allowed so it's not a family spot but you can order and take some home read more

Fish was just right, not too salty and tartar sauce was really good AND the Onion rings were excellent - neither heavy nor greasy, crisp outside, tender inside. One gentleman from The group was OBNOXIOUSLY talking to his group and other patrons with a slur of foul language. Every word was followed by the F word. I met a friend here for a quick drink on a Tuesday evening. We sat on the patio which is really very nice! The ladies bathroom on the other hand was really gross. Of the 3 or 4 toilets only one was semi working. One of the other ones was continually flushing and the others were so full of toilet paper that they could not be flushed. An employee did go in there later and hopefully he was able to fix the toilets. I would definitely not order any food from an establishment who has dirty bathrooms. Having an amazing beer menu, great wings, and great burgers doesn't mean anything, when you don't serve your customers, when you forget customer orders, or when you blatantly ignore customers, because YOU failed to serve them previously. Billy's used to be the weekly "outing" my caregiver would take me on. I'd get a burger, poppers, or wings, and a beer, caregiver would get wings and a coke. Until 3 weeks in a row: Week 1, ordered beer, coke, and appetizers. Got coke, told "we're out of that beer," and that was that! No asking/offering a substitute, just a walk-away. Quite rude. When we ordered dinner, my caregiver was apologized to, for the way I was treated. I was ignored. Week 2, I deviated from the standard wings and appetizers or generic burger. I got fancy, ordered one of their sandwiches and a beer. 30 minutes later, my roommate's food, and my beer came out. And, an excuse, and a request that I wait another 40 minutes for my sandwich to be prepared. "No, we're leaving. You're comping the beer, or getting the manager." Week 3, Went in, with my ever-present service dog, was rudely confronted by security, my caregiver intervened, explained that A: my animal is a service animal, and B: asking anything more than whether she's a service animal, and whether she's trained for specific duties is a violation of health privacy laws. Should have left, instead, we seated ourselves, and were promptly ignored for over 30 minutes. Lets hope that whatever happened between October of 2016 and December of 2016 un-happens! No matter how good the food and beer selection, if the customers don't get their order, and are treated poorly, the menus are nothing but teasers. read more

I didn't expect to give this bar such a high rating at first - but let me explain my reasoning and you'll most likely agree! So I went here about a month or so ago and had a great time with a co-worker; we didn't eat any food but we had a few drinks after work, shot the sh*t and enjoyed the atmosphere and the quick service. Though sometimes the skimpiness of the dress in the girls can perturb me a little (it's not jealousy; sometimes I just don't feel the need to see that kind of skin when I'm eating or relaxing or whatever. Plus there are some mild moral issues with it in my mind that bother me, such as, why can men wear a button down and jeans and be sexy and a woman has to be half naked? It's just not the conditions I generally am content with, but in this case I was able to let that part fly as our waitress was really friendly and not absorbed in flirting with the guys to work the tips, as you do see sometimes in a lot of places with less dress) - ANYWAYS, after I left this particular evening there was an error with my card and I was accidentally overcharged. The GM Jason took complete care of me and made me feel very valued and was very apologetic for the mistake - super understanding and kind guy. I think that is a true mark of a great place. If you don't feel like you can come to the upper management with a problem and receive a solution that satisfies, well, you really don't find the desire to return. I was completely content with the solution and walked away feeling like a valued consumer rather than just another customer. I ended up trying the place again very soon thereafter where I ordered potato skins, SO GOOD, and a grilled chicken salad - also SO good. I took it to go because I was on lunch break and when I returned to my office I was the envy of the cubes. The grilled chicken was plump and hearty and seasoned well, many crisp tasty veggies, cheese of course, and a nice creamy Ranch dressing. If you don't like mushrooms, do ask for those to be removed though, because there was a great deal of them and I personally don't care for them so I was picking them out. The skins came with salsa and sour cream, SO NECESSARY, and I loved them also. Good portions. Tons of bacon, tons of cheese. What you would want and more from potato skins. You might not expect it at the off set, but this place rocks the food portion of their bar and I'll definitely be back for some more samplings. This place is RACIST! They kicked out my friend for being black. He was not drinking all night, we gave our waiter more than a 20% tip and thats how they treated us. If I find out the waiter that kicked my friend out still works there, I will sue for being racist. Yes a business does have the right to refuse service to anyone but not because of the color of their skin. I can't believe this happened and I will NEVER go back to Billy's again and I recommend no one else does either. read more
