The beer selection here is commendable so I really have to give this place some credit for that. Plus, the way they're organized by style on the long menu is helpful. I'd definitely come back just to see what gems I might find here that other bars don't have. As for the atmosphere, the place is pretty dark, which would be cool if it was a more elegant, lounge-like setting, but this place goes more for a trashy Hooter's type vibe. The bartenders all seemed to be scantily-clad women, which certainly wasn't doing any damage to my eyes, but also means you're getting shoddier service. Bottom line is that these young ladies weren't hired for their personality and friendliness. Our service was terrible, our waitress refused to split out check even though we told her from the beginning we needed it split. I spoke to the manager John but he told me they were short staffed and it wasn't his fault, but he didn't actually do anything to fix things either. Tonight was the second time to experience this place. The decor is trendy but the table cloths on the picnic tables are filthy. They do spray it down and wipe it down but it needs to be bleached and pressure cleaned... the staff are seriously intimidating. Im not sure why on a Friday night they thought it was a good idea to have one waitress for all of the patio with at least 15 tables.. Then i witnessed other staff openly bitching at each other or bitching about a customer.Either way not something you do in the open... the Door man was cool to us. but openly called a customer a fucking bitch... Again, I was like Wow.... and for the food... the wings were decent... the Ruben became soggy... bottom line this place was a total shit show and needs a lot of customer service training and more staff... The service here is incredible. Everyone was super talkative, down to earth, and really seemed to enjoy their job. The environment was really cool too. Kind of jive bar meets rock and roll. I'm certain the food is good. But I ordered a chicken wrap expecting something light and tasty. Among other ingredients the menu listed, the wrap was supposed to have BELL PEPPERS. Instead the "chef" confused GHOST PEPPERS for BELL PEPPERS. I'm not certain how anyone preparing food could confuse this. We're not talking one or two ghost peppers. They were piled on. I took one bite, and immediately became ill. I actually vomited an hour later after leaving. Even still, all of this would not have made me upset except for the fact that THEY MADE ME PAY FOR THE FOOD. Yes, they made me pay for food I didn't order, that was inedible, that I took only one bite of, even after I informed my server/bartender what was happening. In conclusion... If you're looking for a place to grab a drink or two with a broad beer selection and decent service, this place will meet that criteria. If you're looking for food of any kind, BUYER BEWARE!!! The bar-back threatened me after eavesdropping on my Facetime call with my wife and mother-in-law and assumed i was bad-mouthing the bar. He called me out from across the bar yelling, "I heard you talking sh*t on my bar" and then walked off after me saying "excuse me??" multiple times to no response. When i spoke to the manager he apologized and said, "he's having a bad week". This does not justify harassing your customers in any way, but i condoned it and offered to tip the bar-back substantially if he'd speak to me man-to-man like the manager had. Instead, the bar-back appeared from the same place across the bar and denied the tip saying "I don't want your money, but I accept your apology", i responded "Woah, I'm not apologizing for anything, i just want to talk to you and clear this up" to which he threatened, "you don't want to mess with me, you don't want me to come over there" this is all in front of the manager... i looked at him and said, "I can't do anything with this and am going to have to leave" the manager said he was sorry but insisted that the bar-back was just trying to protect his bar from... me. This was very deflating as an excited customer who was sharing his experience on Facetime with his family. This is a pandemic, everyone's having "a bad week", drop your ego and let people have a good time. Billy's has one of the best burgers in Albuquerque (as well as some other fine pub grub). They're hand-made, big, juicy, and there are lots of options for toppings. Not just "lettuce, tomato & pickles". We're talking chorizo, egg, bacon, green chile. This is the place if you want a burger and a beer. The beer selection is decent with a mix of "domestic", "import" and a few craft beers. The bar has a pretty established feel. It's dark with a fair amount of wood and random stuff on the walls. I love their draft beer selections, as they have about 70 beers on draft. I came during Happy Hour, which was from 5-7pm, I think, which gave half off appetizers and a lower rate on drinks. The service was okay, since there was only 2 waitresses for the whole place, which at the time had about 30 or more individuals, they tended to me well at the bar. But, when we moved to a table, it took a while for them to come to us. Then there was a shift change and we didn't see anyone afterwards, so when I wanted to order something I just hunted down a waitress and told her that we needed to order drinks and food. I didn't eat, so I won't be mentioning food, but one of my colleagues said that the buffalo wings didn't please him. But, I don't know his taste, so I won't comment on that. read more

This a great local bar. There are kind waitresses, great food, and an abundance of pool tables. It kinda has that classic bar vibe and typically has an older crowd. We have been going here for over a year and a half. It has been a good place but the last month we have went there at least 3-4 times and the service and food has been terrible. We ordered food today and we asked that the wings be extra crispy and served before the main order. They came at the same time and not crispy. I will be the bra amongst a lot of bros that approve of Billy's Long Bar. It's a cool spot though I'm not good at pin-pointing the "theme" besides what the name entails. A long bar? CHECK. Sports memorabilia? CHECK. Chicks? CHECK. Truly, Billy's core demographic are sports fanatics, locals, and even some couples in the mix. I'm told the food here is the one of the best things, if not thee best, but I've yet to judge. So the service is a little slow and forgetful (I watched my Manhattan languish on the bar for 10 minutes or so on a not busy night), and therefore, I dock a star. But it was at least friendly, and that's something. Overall, if you want a relaxed, full bar with a full menu (and breakfast all day! Yay!) and the music playing not too loud, this is a great spot. And it'd be a great place to watch games, with lots of TVs. I'm actually surprised it's not more popular, given its very reasonable cocktail prices. I mean, $6 for my Woodford Manhattan? Yes please. They have the top shelf too -- see the Basil Hayden Manhattan, although if you're ordering Basil Hayden in a Manhattan, shame on you.
