After being told by local medical staff at the NAVACHS, stating that the itching, pain, burning and blood from scratching it, was SHINGLES IN MY EAR. Seriously? After using a microscope in my ear, she found a white, hard coating over it and gave me DermOtic Oil, which makes the itch and pain lessen so we can hopefully remove it next visit. read more

This was a second opinion ent for me after having malpractice sinus Ballon plasty with James Gordon at AZ breathe free sinus and allergy in Aug 23. 2023 However this one here at biltmore facial plasty I believe focused more on just exactly that facial plasty procedure vs ENT although the Dr. Mason Skinner was super nice he's left the practice. I was supposed to go back today but why bother nothing has worked to make my sinuses better. read more

Where to start, the type of care? Or lack there of, Dr. David Browne had to have been the most condescending Doctor I've ever met, not only towards myself but the way he spoke to my spouse was just as bad. He was so rude that when my spouse had asked a question he flat out was disregarding, condescending, and just dismissive to my spouses concern. I have had ear issues for quite some time and have been doing my best to find out the cause of the issue. I had made an appt to do so and I felt so rushed, non personable nor empathetic, he really wasn't interested in hearing all the symptoms because to him my eardrums looked great! Well thats great and all but that still doesn't explain why I have pain inside my ears. Myself & my spouse had told him all the scenarios on when Ive experienced pains or ear aches or ear infections or the build up of pressure that would never pop, I would relate that my brother has had similar issues and he flat out said I wouldn't believe him, referencing that my brother was lying. We told him all the pain medicine I've tried to help alleviate the pain, all the OTC allergy meds, Sudafed, congestion/decongestion and asked him if he knew of anything or could prescribe anything that he knew could help or if he knew anyone that has had success alleviating the pain in similar circumstances and instead I got called a Pain Seeker which was so RUDE and unethical, saying he could lose his license, stating he can't prescribe opiates, NOT what I was asking for, was merely asking for some guidance since nothing I've tried has worked. It was all around the most unprofessional medical experience I've ever had. Dr David Browne needs a reality check on how to present himself and how to speak to patients. Not sure if he LGBTQ friendly or not but he surely did his best to make us have the most uncomfortable experience on each visit. Now the actual Audiologist, Mariano Flores, who did my hearing test was amazing, very sweet and thoughtful and gave an actual genuine comfortable experience and he listened to all my concerns & symptoms as if I was his own child. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because Mariano the Audiologist was amazing and he deserves to be recognized for his great work and overall experience he gave. read more

Very disappointed with this ENT office. We were told over both text and phone that our appointment was at 9:45 AM. When we arrived on time, they then told us we were late and that we were supposed to be there at 9:15 AM because we were new patients. Nobody told us that beforehand. The only mention of arriving early was in a text sent the night before, which is not enough notice when they had already confirmed 9:45 as the appointment time. This caused unnecessary stress and confusion. Communication needs to be much clearer, very bad costumer service and communication. read more

I recently had nasal surgery done by Dr Christian Pquet. The surgery was for a deviated septum and collapsed nasal valve, and I could hardly breathe out of my nose before the surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Paquet, it's like he performed a miracle! I can breathe perfectly and it's only been a week after surgery! Dr. Pearlstein is excellent. He is very knowledgeable and has a really great bedside manner. He tells it like it is, but he is very kind in delivery. I have seen him a handful of times, and I've never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes past my wait time. Disappointed with the level of care and professionalism of Patricia Sullivan, PA-C. I visited this ENT practice hoping for expert guidance on a persistent issue, but was surprised and disappointed when the medical assistant--not the doctor--answered most of my medical questions. While I understand that assistants play a vital role in patient care, I expected the licensed physician or at least the physician assistant to address my concerns directly, especially when it came to diagnosis and treatment options. The assistant was polite but clearly not equipped to provide the depth of information I needed. It felt rushed and impersonal, and I left the appointment with more questions than answers. If I'm paying for a specialist's expertise, I expect to receive it--not be redirected to someone without the same qualifications. I hope this practice reconsiders how they handle patient communication. Patients deserve direct access to their doctors or physician assistants they've scheduled the appt. with when it comes to medical advice. read more

I have NEVER experienced a more frustrating messaging center! From the time I got my first appointment, I was INUNDATED with appoontment reminder messages! Now, I paid both appointment my co-pays at the appointment and I'm being billed for one. Tomorrow I'll probably get inundated with billing copies. Calling the billing department puts me in a press this extension nightmare!! I've still not been able to contact them! Staff are great. Paperwork communication absolutely SUCKS!! I'm honestly furious because my father had a appointment to get his hearing aids and we waited more than an hour only to be told that they forgot to order them and then we set up another appointment and it was supposed to be tomorrow but I got a message saying we had to reschedule for unknown reasons and they sent the message two minutes before they closed by the time I was going to call they were already closed. At least send me the message an hour before. Worst experience ever and honestly my dad is just so sad because he has been waiting so patiently. read more

Absolutely horrific experience! From the front desk staff which were an absolute nightmare to deal with and then to the useless emotionless PA who seemed very unhappy with her life. Staff kept informing us we were "late." Both my email and text shows 3:30PM appointment which is when we arrived. My handicapped mother was going as fast as she can with her cane because the front desk lady kept telling her to go fast and hurry. At one point I asked her if I should just carry her to save the few seconds as I'm holding my toddler. The PA Elicia Hunt really needs some happiness in her life as her bedside manner was awful and she showed zero emotion towards my mother. She then came out of the room to complain my mother was late to the front desk not realizing I was there completely capable of hearing her complain. I hope the PA finds some happiness in her life and is able to show some emotion towards her patients instead of being so miserable. read more

Doctors are great. This review is for the front office and people who manage the phone lines who are terrible. I have had my daughter's appointment cancelled the day before because I had no idea a referral expired. Fine, no headups from the office people when the referral expires, I start setting an alert on my calendar of when the referral is due to expire so I can be proactive and getting another one. Now the day of appointment they call me and tell me the appointment has been canceled because the referral expired. I then call her pediatrician who tells me no they sent a referral over this year so it hasn't been expired. I then come Biltmore ENT back, and they looked through it further and they're like " oh yeah your referral is good, your insurance just changed. That's why the referral was expired. The front office is completely incompetent. They don't have a safe in place for when refills are about to expire. When I am proactive in setting up referrals, I had no idea it had to say the updated insurance on it. And they don't tell you that when you call you have to basically fish for an answer. Zero out of five stars would not recommend. Go somewhere else. And unfortunately, I have to stick here because my daughter got her ear tubes here. Horrible experience. I had to make five calls to get someone who finally knew the answer on why they referral expired if it was done within the year. read more

Tonsils are REMOVED after being told all my childhood & some of adulthood that my Tonsils needed to come out. I finally found the right Dr to get the job done! Came to Biltmore ENT in August did all my appointments in-between & got my surgery set for December 11th. I was told I needed Tonsils Removed & Nasal Surgery to open my airway. Day of surgery everything was super easy & ALL staff were AMAZING . The next day I came in to do a check up and all the bandages were removed & i was breathing good in just one day. Now today 2 1/2 weeks from recovering i feel GREAT. Thank you Dr Arya, you really worked wonders on me and I feel good & happy I did the surgery. read more

Waited 3 weeks for this appointment while suffering with a terrible ear infection the entire time. The office cancelled and rescheduled my appointment three times but I worked with them. I did read a lot of negative reviews but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and stuck with my appointment. I got to the office on time and filled out all my paperwork and then I was told that I had an 80 dollar co pay. I've never had a co pay with my pcp before so I wasn't prepared to make any type of payment. I explained that I had completely lost hearing in one ear and that I couldn't wait to be seen and asked if I could make the payment on Friday when I got paid. I waited in the waiting room for an hour and then the girl called me up and said "unfortunately we can't see you today because we need your co payment today". I asked again if I could have it billed and she said the only thing she could do is reschedule me. So now I have to find a new doctor that is in network and wait another 3-4 weeks to be seen all because they couldn't wait 5 days for a payment. Obviously they only care about money. You have a patient who has been suffering for weeks and couldn't work with me, it's just sad. read more

This practice is an absolute joke. They could not care about quality patient care even though that's what they preach. Communication with this office is awful. You'll leave multiple messages and you're lucky to get a callback days later if that even happens. The doctor typically runs so far behind (sometimes upwards of an hour) and then when he shows up to the appointment spends only a couple of minutes and it's so rushed that you get no quality care. Then to top it off, they try to scam you for more money for stuff you've already paid for by not applying credit card payments and then sending you a bill for what's already been paid for by credit card. Things have been so bad with this practice that I went to a different clinic to get treated. read more

I have been taking my son here for 3 years, and I've disliked it more and more each time. We had ear tubes placed when he was 2, and the Dr. was great, but the rest of the office is awful. Every single time we visited for a follow up appointment we sat waiting for over an hour before we saw the physician assistant. AN HOUR with a child waiting EVERY TIME. There is not excuse for that - they have no respect for our time. This appointment was scheduled at a different location, which we didn't know. So we arrived late, but only 15 minutes late. Of course after waiting for two hours this time, my child had a meltdown when the PA was there. The PA made no effort to help me or help my child calm down, but rather continued to talk over his screaming. What gets me is they ask you to be early, but it makes no difference. They will not see you within a hour. They make no apologies either, just suck it up. read more

I saw Dr. Araya for chronic sinus infections. He recommended sinus surgery, assuring me it would correct the problem. It has not! Trying to get an appointment for sinusitis is impossible--his snippy, very young & inexperienced front office girls are NOT helpful. I saw his PA & was told my Rx would be at the pharmacy in 1 hour. It was not. It took several phone calls to the pharmacy who said it had not arrived. Finally called Dr's office & lodged a complaint with the scheduler (since you can never get anyone else to answer the phone.) She said the office manager would call me back. She did NOT. It seems Dr. Arya's focus is only on surgery where he makes big money but the follow up care sucks!! He needs to do a serious overhaul of his staff!! read more

This place is a total joke! I went to be checked for a deviated septum. I walked in and sat for just a minute till they walked me back to a room. Sat there for another ten minutes or so. A doctor came in, well I think he was a doctor and he had me pinch my nose and suck in are as he took a couple of pictures with his cell phone. THen ships me out the door. The next day I get a call from this office and they tell me they can't even help me till I come up with $6,000. I say what about my insurance? I'm then told that is with my insurance. Now I have a grievance with my insurance company because they sent me a bill for $171.78 and sent a bill to my insurance company for taking a picture of my nose with a cell phone! To add insult to injury (no pun intended) Three weeks after I wouldn't pay because I had a grievance pending with my insurance company. They sent me to collections! If you want my advice STAY AWAY!!!! I did get my procedure done by an awesome Dr. in Scottsdale and I couldn't be happer! read more

I definitely recommend Biltmore ear nose and throat. Dr. Arya is super knowledgeable and patient. He always takes the time to explain to me my current condition and what we can do to remedy. I recently had the sinus surgery which went very well. I was so frightened to have it I actually pushed it off for about eight years. He and his staff at the outpatient surgical center helped me feel as ease and comfortable. Trusting in their care it's something you can definitely do. read more

The doctor that I saw was fine. He said they were going to contact me to do an eating/swallowing test, but the never called. The doctor also prescribed Omeprazole. When I went to pick it up the cost was $33! The pharmacist said the cost was high because it's on OTC medication. It was Prilosec! Seriously?!?!! I called this morning to cancel the follow-up appointment. The girl asked if I wanted to reschedule. I said no. She asked why and I told her that their office didn't follow-up with me. Her response was, "Ok." Wow! I'll look for another ENT to discuss the issues I've been experiencing! read more

So frustrating. Ten days and endless phone calls (30; minute average to get through each time) for them to finally send the CT order correctly. I had a follow up in 14 days but that won't happen now. I was told the office manager was too busy to speak and I would get a call back in 20 minutes. I never received one. Will it take 10 days for a call back? They claim to be specialists in tinnitus, and though I know there is no cure, no treatment options were discussed. The doctor was in a hurry and did not take the time to listen to me or discuss options. It was like being at a used car lot - but for hearing aids. I have age related mild hearing loss, but I wasn't there to talk about that - I need help in dealing with my tinnitus and they failed me, and when I do get ready for hearing aids, I surely will look elsewhere. My tinnitus is not related to my mild hearing loss- I used ear wax drops and it started immediately. I am in pain and no treatment option was offered for that. read more

If you or someone needs hearing aids, I would definitely recommend Katie or Jacquie at this location. My father purchased hearing aids from Sam's Hearing and it truly was a waste of $2500. The aids never worked properly and the technician never accurately set the hearing aids to where he could hear comfortably. We fell for the Miracle Ear commercial but had to return the devices because they just did not help. His PCP referred him to Biltmore ENT and what a world of difference! For the price of hearing aids at Biltmore ENT, he not only received hearing aids, but he received quality care and follow up. Jacquie professionally set his hearing aids at a level my dad could hear and communicate so much better! We went back for a follow up and Katie was also super amazing, making appropriate adjustments to the hearing aids and making my dad feel super comfortable with being there. Both Jacquie and Katie are real professionals in audiology. Any issues with the hearing aid, they resolve quickly....but with 100% honesty, this place is for you if you need hearing aids. Dr. Taffet is very straight to the point, so you usually don't waste your time when you see him. He's knowledgeable and caring, and gives you all the information you need to prepare for procedures pre and post. Unfortunately, not all the staff share the same values. We showed up 15 mins late to an appointment and were rescheduled for a later time (totally understandable). We waited 50 mins past the rescheduled time to be taken back to room and another 10-15mins to be seen. Then, PA tried to send me off without thoroughly completing the follow up examination. If as an establishment you're going to have strict rules about patient's punctuality, expect to hold yourself up to the same standards. Also, please be caring and as thorough with your patients, as you are when it comes to billing them and their insurance. read more
