On our 3rd appointment we locked in a deal and I was then turned over to the easy turf operations team. They too were excellent. The installation team had the same excellence. Our dogs love this turf, so we added another area and experienced all the same professionalism. Doing business during Covid-19 is not easy and the easy turf team adheres to all California norms for doing business in this pandemic. He gave me a very competitive quote and was not pressured like some other contractors. Stay away from this company. They will say all the right things, and convince you they are the biggest and best...with the best product, the best installation and the best customer service. FALSE This company was super responsive when I called them for a quote. They scheduled an appointment immediately and Julio came out and was very professional. I decided to go with them based off of recommendations of a neighbor and another friend. Installation occurred on 4/20/2020. I had a small (200 sq ft) job in my backyard. The installation went smoothly and the grass looked great. I could see where the seam was, but within a couple of days even that went away. Unfortunately, about 2 weeks later we had a very hot couple of days. One of my west facing windows, which I was explicitly told wouldn't be a problem, had a reflection that ended up causing sun damage to the turf in a small area. There was also an area that was looking lumpy and uneven. I contacted Kim and Julio by email on 5/5/20 and waited for a response. None came. Several phone calls later (their phone system is has conveniently been down since April and only an answering service is available), I finally got a hold of Kim. I was told sun damage wasn't covered under warranty normally but that she'd send out someone to take a look. She explained that they were short staffed due to COVID, which is understandable. However, my frustration was building because of lack of communication. Someone came out and looked at the lawn pretty quickly and I was told I was given misinformation about west facing windows not being able to cause sun damage. He agreed that it needed to be repaired and could see the unevenness in the turf and said that would be fixed too. Before they fixed anything though, I wanted to install a sun shade...so the problem wouldn't occur again. I got the sun shade put up within a week and then waited and waited for someone to schedule the repair. Again, several phone calls later and the fix was scheduled for June 12th. Prior to the service call, I called and spoke with Kim. I expressed my concern that they were just going to patch the sun damaged area and that seams would be visible. She assured me this wouldn't be the case and said they were sending their best guy to do the patch. 6/12 - The service call was completed in a timely manner...the ground re-leveled and compacted and the sun damaged spot was patched. And it looks horrible. There's an obvious square spot of new turf in the lawn and two sections within the new patch job that still look to have melted blades! 6/15 - Sent an email to Kim about my concerns, and received no response. 6/17 - Called into EasyTurf and ended up speaking to Todd Scott (Cob Scott?). He said he had seen my email and understood my concerns, but that he needed to investigate a resolution and that he'd call me back in 1.5 hours. Guess what? He never called me back. 6/22 - Called in to talk to someone again, and again got the answering service because the phones are down. This is starting to seem a bit shady. 6/23 - Still no response from EasyTurf. Called in yet again, and spoke with the answering service yet again, and left another message for someone to call me ASAP....yet again. My next step is to file a formal complain with the BBB. I was really excited with the idea of turf in my yard. No more mowing, having to deal with weeds. Boy was I wrong. I went out in my front yard and saw weeds sprouting up along the edging. No big deal, I got some weed spray and sprayed the cracks. A few days later, I saw some coming through the turf in the middle of the yard. Then I went in my backyard and there is an actual patch of weeds growing. Seriously? I am spending MORE time on the weeds to make sure I do not rip the turf. How do I have weeds coming through my turf. If you are spending a lot of money on turf for "low maintenance" this is the exact Update- after posting my review, I got a call from their customer service. They created an appt to come up a look at the situation. When the technician arrived, he said they needed to reschedule because it's going to take longer than expected. My service was completed yesterday, and it looks brand new! They didn't just treat the weeds situation, they also did the full service to get my yard looking great. The tech also informed me that the weed situation was coming from air-born seeds and not through the turf, which was a relief. I cannot thank the staff enough for taking ownership of the problem and fixing it without hesitation. 2020 Update - every square inch of of turf has weeds coming out of it. They gave me a bottle of round up to spray. The guy said "the weeds are settling on the top of the turf". They are literally going through the turn into the ground. I was so excited to finally make our backyard look a bit nicer. But was extremely disappointed at the cheap dg that was used. I was told by Sam that "it will take time to look better". Also extra material was left as well as an additional piece. Both were supposed to be removed and no one ever came. I included photos of what they shared with me on how the dg would look. They came out and reviewed my yard. I learned two very important things. Capture any conversation you have with ANY salesperson with a recorder. I was a fool for thinking what he said would be done would actually be done. No sail shade poles installed (jobsite manager had been aware of this and looked at poles to determine where they went - so HE knew they were part of the deal) Board around perimeter to keep dogs from digging? Hmm - I wouldn't have even known that unless it was brought up in sales. BUT - he didn't write it on the contract. So - I assumed it was filled out correctly, as he promises. BUT she said we negotiated to bring the price down. There was NO negotiation. I wanted the grass, have had it before and loved it. Trusted the salesman. Trusted what he said was on the contract - actually was. My bad. I have MS and had just had issues, so couldn't focus on the words. He told me about his mother's illness and how he helped her so much. I totally believed he was a man of his word. Good thing - and one that will make me remove or append this review... the Operations manager came out, verified that the installation was crappy and they are going to take out the grass and replace it with brand new turf. I love that they took it to the next level (thanks VonShea) and will make it right. Cob -OM - said he would personally keep an eye on the job. I KNOW this product and I KNOW this company and what great things they are capable of. I hate the imposition on my time and the dirt all over my house. ESPECIALLY during Holiday season. She was very helpful, came out to the house the same day I called and took measurements. She left me three samples of turf so that I could decide what was needed. TOTALLY PROFESSIONAL!! That's how I would describe our experience with Easy Turf. We went to the Fair knowing that there would be several artificial turf venders with displays. We were contacted by Easy Turf and one other vender within a few days following our Fair visit. Steve L. from Easy Turf called and scheduled an appointment that was convenient for us later in the week. The other vender also contacted us and scheduled a late afternoon appointment. Steve from Easy Turf arrived on time and met with us to discuss our project. He took measurements of our yard, provided photos of various projects similar to ours and samples of the types Turf available. Steve provided a rough drawing of the ideas we discussed and provided a cost estimate of our project. No pressure, no signatures or contract, just professional. He knew we were getting other estimates and provided us with his contact information if we had any questions. The other company did show for their appointment, discuss what we wanted with him. He measured our yard, did not provide us with anything other than a promise that he would call us on Monday after he drew several plans for us. To make a long story short, he never called us back, so I contacted his Manager. His manager apologized, we had no interest in doing business with them. I called Steve, asked him to finalize the Plan and draw up the Contract. We met with him, reviewed the final Plan and specifications. We were contacted by the Scheduler and made an appointment for the installation a little more than a week away. The EasyTurf Crew showed up on time, ready to work. They reviewed the Plan, asking a few questions regarding the sprinkler system and went to work. They transformed our yard in less than eight hours into something out of Sunset or House Beautiful magazines. They made excuses about my sales person going into retirement and then later told me the person we were communicating with was no longer there. Altho I'm not sure at what point the turf got this good! And realistic. It feels so incredible in my backyard now! Meh. We had turf installed Summer of 2017 (so, a year and a half ago at this point), down one side of our house and on two sides of our pool. It looks good, but on closer inspection, weeds are starting to pop up through the turf (in the middle sections, in addition to along the edges). Many installers put down weed fabric before putting down the turf. EasyTurf, however, does not -- claiming that their turf is strong/dense enough to keep weeds from coming through. I had my doubts about that, but went with them, thinking that if weeds did make it through, it might be several years before they did. Here we are only 17 months later, however, and we've got plenty of weeds. Kind of crummy, because ease of care was the primary reason we went with turf. read more

You can read my review of 10 years ago. We have had our front lawn and upper back lawn for 10 years and the turf looks great! But I want to tell you about our lower yard. We filled in our swimming pool because it needed a lot of work. The lower yard remained just dirt for several years. This year my husband and I decided to finish it. We put in a paving stone patio and had the rest done in Easy Turf. The installation went well and the yard looks great. It drains perfectly, as it should since the whole backing is porous--one of the reasons I chose Easy Turf. At $12.00 per square foot it's a bargain! (I did not have any grass to remove) I love this company because they stand behind their product and their work. I can say this because my relationship with them is time-tested. I have called them back for help--ie. when the turf had to be cut so my lamppost could be installed on the front lawn. They came out and put the turf back so no one would ever know it had been cut. Wow, one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. Was trying to get some maintenance completed on my existing turf so that I could install a hot tub. Described the issue over the phone, they said no problem and could set up an appointment. When the person got here, he didn't have the right materials for the job so I had to re-schedule. Had to wait about two weeks before they could schedule someone else to come with the right material. On the re-scheduled appointment, a different person showed up 3 hours late. He looked at the project and since it was almost 5 o'clock (because he was late!) said he couldn't get it done and left. Had to re-schedule again two weeks later. This time they cancelled the appointment because they thought it was going to rain. It ended up not raining. I called in the morning of the appointment to see if they could come out still since it wasn't raining, but of course they never returned my call. Re scheduled (again!) for a few days later, this time there was rain in the morning. I get it, you can't work in the rain, but my appointment was in the afternoon. The rain stopped. They never called to cancel, so I thought we were good. Of course they never showed. If you are going to not show because of weather, it is what it is, but at least let the customer know. Our turf started to have issues and after a few calls, samples being sent out, getting on the schedule, we were able to get our turf replaced under warranty. Originally, we had turf with the rubber fill. We loved our turf, even though it was very hot in the summer. For our replacement, we actually upgraded to the Nutmeg Lush and we could not be happier. So making this decision was a no brainer for us transplants from NYC. Our yard looked disgusting! Weed jungle, you could hunt dinosaurs in it (I swear I saw velociraptors stalking my child). Rose Horton, the design consultant, came out to meet us and see the disaster that would soon become the desirable. She gave us the quote on the spot after measuring and solidifying which grass we wanted (we got the Ultimate Natural Tall- because I'm a Scandinavian giant and I wanted to feel close to my grass). It looks amazing and feels fantastic. Hasn't gotten too hot yet as I have been warned most synthetic grass does. We have four medium sized trees in our backyard and they ran bubblers to each of them. Just went to the BIG SPRING ARTIFICIAL GRASS SALE. AD SAID, Artificial Grass Sale - One day of amazing artificial grass deals and steals at our location in Vista, CA. When the sales persons say the rolls laid out for sale are defective and inferior and that the price is more than some competitors I have visited BUT if I make an appointment to come in I can get a better price, that's when I walk away. Plus the pieces, rather scraps of leftovers they had laid out for sale looked more like just plain garbage straight from a dumpster. My wife and I both honesty felt embarrassed to be duped into an obvious "bait & switch". If I could give this company 0 stars I would. We had our turf estimate in December and installed that same month. Steve Lo Cicero was the Senior design consultant that came out and gave us the pitch to use them. I feel the price of the turf was too expensive for the quality of customer service or lack there of. We had a simple 300sft space done with pavers set in the turf. Steve was very confident he could get the job done in a decent amount of time plus setting the pavers straight. The time frame was ideal but the quality of the installation was not. Our pavers were completely off centered and crooked. A month after having it installed the turf is now pulling away from the fence. I contacted Steve initially to see about the everything being fixed. He got back to me with a date and time as to when the guys would come out and fix it. The workers were scheduled to show between 8am and 10am but did not show until 2:45pm. They then entered my backyard without asking or letting me know they were back there while I have dogs which is not an ideal situation with protective dogs. The main guy then came to my front door saying they already fixed it by trespassing on my property. To fix the pavers they took them out and cut pieces around the turf to make it fit. The pavers are now lifting and the dirt underneath is exposed. Steve initially told us he would come back after a month do a walk through with us to make sure we were pleased but that has never happened. I am extremely upset and unpleased with the quality of the work and with the customer service. I would never recommend this company to anyone. read more
