    Complimentary bread

We dine here at almost every celebratory occasion, but this was my first time ordering the wagyu trio. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I couldn't decide which Wagyu to get, so the trio was a great introduction to Wagyu meats, so now I know what I want for next time! As always, the complimentary bread is amazing and the staff is pleasant and attentive. You really can't beat the local discount that Peppermill gives locals.

My husband and I came here recently for an early Valentine's Day dinner. We had booked the reservation a few weeks in advance. Upon arrival we were seated immediately. The ambiance inside is pretty nice - it's a very large dining room with a lot of seating. I would expect a bit darker/moody lighting for a steakhouse, but it's still very nice. Our waiter Robert "Bob" and his assistant were so genuine and kind. We got alot of recommendations from them and they were very helpful. My husband and I started with the Classic Tableside Caesar Salad. The salad was so fresh and flavorful. It was a bit on the spicy/tangy side, but was enjoyable. I then got the 8oz Prime Filet Mignon and my husband got the 16oz Niman Ranch Prime NY Strip. We split the Au Gratin Potatoes and the French Fries (I know, I know - two potatoes dishes haha!) we both have our preferences in potato and figured the Caesar salad was enough for a veggie and we didn't need another. The veggie sides are so marked up at these places. I love that each steak comes with a sauce: we got the Roasted Garlic-Cabernet and Creamy Horseradish. For dessert we split the Cherry Crumb Cheesecake which came with ice cream and chocolate truffles. This was one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had. What a great recommendation from the waiter - we were so full by this point that we were able to take it home and eat it the next night. I'm still thinking about that amazing cake batter crumble: yum!! Overall we had a great experience. We'll definitely add this restaurant back into our rotation when we want a nice night out. The best part of being a local is the 20% discount!

Amazing service. This place is a bit pricey but we had so much fun. My husband has the steak Diane which was prepared tableside. Overall we enjoyed all the food and would highly recommend to anyone.

Great dinner in an elegant setting! Service was on point and the drinks were great. The complimentary bread service was very good as the bread is made in house. The lobster bisque is some of the best I've ever had- chunks of lobster in a rich flavorful broth. Loved the sorbet with sparking intermezzo. The bone-in rib eye was cooked perfectly. The broccoli side with garlic was a nice accompaniment. I had the scallop special. Wow! Perfectly cooked sea scallops over a bed of amazing veggies and roasted potatoes with beurre blanc sauce. The dark chocolate carmels with se salt were the perfect end.

I was really looking forward to celebrating my birthday here, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. If you do decide to visit, I recommend parking in the garage--it's quite a walk from the Virginia Street parking lot. Service started off okay, but the pacing felt off. We were rushed at the beginning, then experienced a long gap after our appetizer, salad, and soup before our entrées arrived. The food itself was just okay, with nothing that truly stood out. From the complimentary bread to the entrées, most dishes were bland, and there wasn't anything we would order again. The Wagyu and Tomahawk steaks tasted as though they were of lesser quality. The King Crab legs were prepared well and easy to eat (market price $141), but still nothing to rave about. This was especially noticeable when compared to several steakhouses we've dined at in Reno and Sparks, and it doesn't come close to the quality of steakhouses in Las Vegas or Hawaii. Desserts were better--the Poached Pear, Cherry Cheesecake, and 6-Layer Chocolate Cake--but even the Banana Foster didn't quite measure up to others I've had. My son did enjoy the Old Forester flight. The Pineapple Margarita was just okay, and my daughter appreciated the server making her an affogato. Oddly, the server used some "sayings" throughout the evening that made us pause. He also didn't acknowledge that it was my birthday, which was disappointing given the occasion and the notation on our reservation. It makes you wonder why there's even a section for accommodations if it doesn't matter. On a positive note, our busser, Spencer, was great and very attentive. Overall, the whole experience fell short of what I had hoped for as a birthday dinner celebration and unfortunately ended the evening on a disappointing note, especially considering the nearly $800 bill.

We dined at Bimini Steakhouse last month and the experience was phenomenal from start to finish. The service alone deserves five stars--our water glasses never even made it a quarter of the way down before being refilled. Attentive without being intrusive, which is rare these days. The homemade Caesar salad was incredibly fresh, perfectly balanced and clearly made with care. The steak was cooked spot-on, exactly as ordered, tender and full of flavor. From the food to the service, everything was executed flawlessly. A truly excellent dining experience and absolutely worth returning for. It was a beautiful restaurant! Highly recommend

Our favorite place to eat at when visiting Reno NV. we love lobster bisque there is the best. Tomahawk steak was very good. Love their complimentary sorbet with prosecco, and how they give at the end warm wet towels to clean your hands. 10/10 overall.

Jeff, Tony, and Gary took great care of us making sure we had everything we needed and wanted. They were extremely efficient and friendly. The food was excellent and good portion size. The flavor of the food did not disappoint which is especially important when you're paying top dollar. The whole experience was top notch and we will definitely tell everyone we know if they want a nice steakhouse where they can go.

Filet mignon + au gratin cheesy potatoes + mushrooms

The food was delicious. We ordered the cooked oysters + crab stuffed mushrooms -- the BEST I've ever had. Split the filet mignon + au gratin cheesy potatoes + mushrooms. You could cut the steak with a fork. Service was on point. We had 3 people helping our table of 8. Loved the sorbet w/sparkling wine to reset the palate. The ambiance was very nice. We had the back private room. Would go again!

Beautiful restaurant, attentive servers and DELECTABLE entrees! Doesn't get much better than this. Came here to celebrate my son's birthday with the fam. It was my son's birthday wish to try A5 Japanese Wagyu, and what better way to do it than in style at the Peppermill hotel/resort?! The decor and service at Bimini's was inviting and warm. Appetizer wise, we ordered the fresh oysters which were indeed delicious and fresh. The birthday boy was happy with his steak, and saved room for his birthday cake. The filet mignon sampler was EPIC. Perfectly cooked-medium rare with an assortment of dipping sauces. Everyone was satisfied with their meals. For dessert the crème brûlée and apple cobbler were both amazing. Impossible to choose which one I enjoyed more. We will definitely be back again for more!

This place is one of a kind! I only gave it four out of five stars because of some of the food items that we had ordered. But the service was 10 out of 10. Gary and Jon took such great care of us. It was our anniversary, we received a card and the best treatment ever. My husband had an old-fashioned drink and they made it at the table smoked. We ended up splitting bone in ribeye, mac & cheese, and brussels sprouts. We also had a blue cheese salad. The blue cheese salad was exceptional with little bits of pancetta, Kamala, olives, avocado, radishes, and delicious blue cheese. That salad was also 10 out of 10. The mac & cheese was good, but needed some more flavor. Brussels sprouts needed some salt. They were crispy, but didn't have a lot of taste. The restaurant treated us with some chocolate mousse cake for our anniversary. That was 100% amazing. This restaurant is truly amazing and we will be coming back. The atmosphere is amazing, the service is amazing, and the steak was amazing. They have huge screens showing different places from all around the world. It was fun to watch while we were eating.. the ambience was incredible.

The food is very mediocre better off at the Atlantis steak house for better quality steak and food ! Highly dissatisfied with the so called Wagyu steak the quality was very mediocre was not top quality meat. The sides is bland as ever. For the price I expected way better quality food. So mad I didn't go to Atlantis steakhouse

Our first time here and it didn't disappoint. Carefully hidden high-end steakhouse in the Peppermill, our dining experience hit the mark on service and quality of food. We shared the Steak's Diane...tender and delicious.

That was fine so as soon as we turned around to sit in the lobby, the guy called us and said he happened to find a table for two. So we were sat immediately. This is the busiest I've ever seen this restaurant. Pretty much every table, and they have lots of tables, was full. Braden was our server and he was at our table within five minutes. Considering how busy the place was, that was awesome. He took our drink orders asked if we actually knew what we wanted to eat, which we didn't, and so he went to get our drinks while we looked at the menu. What we ordered: 25 ounce Cadillac margarita Frolic in the sand Shots of tequila (Herradura) 20 ounce prime rib, medium rare Lobster tail Jacketed baked potato Sautéed mushrooms The food arrived quickly. The prime rib was perfect. Lobster, mushrooms. Everything was just so darn good. The star of the show was the server Braden. He was friendly and a little entertaining. Even though the place was super busy, he took the time to talk with us and make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our evening. I will definitely ask for him next time we come in here as he was that good. When the food and drinks are consistent, sometimes the only difference of a good visit versus an average visit is the server. He was perfect. I walked up and got the manager, who came back to the table to hear us out. They ended up comping all of the food and by the time we had gotten this far, it was already later in the evening and we just decided to salvage what we could. Some of the food was edible, so we did what we could. We kept waiting for someone to come around to clear dishes comma but we never saw anyone. We ended up going somewhere else later that evening to actually get some food we could eat. I'm really sad that this meal went so poorly when we were trying to celebrate a birthday. We will never be going to this restaurant again. Additional after the fact, the sign outside that advertises the business has been broken for months. One would think that if you were a serious business that you would want to fix that. It reflects on your image. It makes me sad too, because they are right across the street from the Peppermill and they could be getting so much business.

I got mine with caramelized onions, baked potato, and fresh veggies. We both got it medium rare. She got hers topped with Point Reyes Blue Cheese crumbles. Her daughter got Filet of Petrale Sole Meuniere. First came a basket of bread. But, two of us are gluten-free. The Waiter made a point to check with the kitchen on all our meals. The steak came out smelling like garlic. It looked so much better than the picture I posted. It was so tender it cut with a butter knife. The color of the steak inside was perfect medium rare. The flavor on the taste buds is what dreams are made of. Some meals we remember for a lifetime. Because every bite is just that scrumptious. I can still almost taste it by just thinking about it. For dessert, we got the classic Bananas Foster, which is made tableside. It is dinner and a show. Bananas Foster is such a decadent treat. The show begins with the melting of the butter, and the aroma will still your breath away. Then add in the brown and white sugars. Several alcohols are used. I believe they use Banana liquor as well as rum. Then a fire is lit in the pan. It sparks when the cinnamon is added. Then the bananas are cooked ever so lightly. Sometimes, too much liqueur is added, and the flavor is off. However, on this night, it was spot on. The sugars and liqueur create a caramel sauce for the bananas, and vanilla ice cream is added. The ice cream that was used tasted like a French Vanilla ice cream with little flecks of vanilla. Each bite was a walk on a cloud. My friends had never had Bananas Foster before. I think they will be back if only for the Bananas Foster. The bananas and caramel with a kiss a vanilla ice cream just send your taste buds to heaven. Each bite will have you desiring more, even if you are beyond full. Each bite is so divine. It tastes so decadent that your mind will be blown that it is bananas and vanilla ice cream. I can't remember the name of our waiter. He was such a delight and made sure we had a great time. This was a meal I will remember for a long time. Thank you to the staff at Duke's Steakhouse. The eating area is very spacious and commodious. Though this place has a casual vibe, the presentation of the food is totally fine-dining material. Each dish, especially the Citrus glazed salmon, is served as a piece of art. I've been here around three times before I installed yelp, and am excited to finally leave a review. The short rib, was absolutely amazing. The short rib was so tender, and each brussels sprout was a literal flavor bomb. The brussels sprouts I've had at other places have flavor only on the exterior, whereas the brussels sprouts here play a different game. The short rib is served in a really big portion. Though it may look dark from the photos, there are actually three big pieces. I loved loved loved the sauce; there's a sweet tangy taste to it, though it reminded me a lot of BBQ sauce. This short rib was a win. Chefs kiss. The truffle lasagna was terrific; so much sauce in between the lasagna layers. I could absolutely make out the truffle flavor in this dish. However, I recommend eating this dish quickly, as the lasagna stiffens really quickly. Thirty minutes after it was served, I went it to take another bite, and it wasn't as good anymore. The ceasar salad +beef is a great choice for a light but filling meal when you're currently on a healthy diet. Each dish here comes in giant portions, but even after you finish this salad, it won't feel too heavy on your body. I think it's because Washoe is really light on the dressing levels; perfecting the amount so it doesn't overtake the fresh flavor of the greens or leave the salad bland and insipid. However, the beef was a bit too well done and on the firmer side. The first time coming here, I was totally shocked to find out that the food they served did not match the relaxed and informal vibe the setting sets up. Not a bad thing at all. Creates a laid-back vibe while still getting high quality food.

Well...where do I begin. We first came to Washoe public house about 8 years ago when they had the…read moreprevious owner and all was well. My husband mentioned that we should go back since it's been years and I agreed. Big mistake. We walked in and was greeted by a pretty annoyed host and we decided to sit inside. So far so good. Same guy comes over and asks what we want and he still didn't seem like he even wanted to be there. He just kept being short with us and at this point I'm getting annoyed myself. I asked if the lobster roll was good and he said everything here is good and that he's been doing this for a long time yadda yadda and so I ask " are you the owner?" His reply "Nope!" And I'm like okay whatever. We get our food and the scotch egg was sooo salty. We couldn't even finish. The best dish was the bulgogi lettuce cups. My husband's short rib poutine was overly sweet and soupy. My lobster roll was so acidic and just not good. Let's just say I was not happy. So I had my husband look up who owns this place since we heard that there's new ownership and guess who the owner is!?.......... Our waiter/annoyed host! Also he made a comment how he's waiting on his 1 star review which is a bizzare thing to say to a customer but okay. So now I'm even more mad at this guy. We still played nice, thanked the staff and left. But we were stopped outside by another customer that was seated 2 tables behind us and they said they are going elsewhere to get more food and how they think that there's drama in the kitchen and how our waiter/owner seemed angry and slammed the menu down at the bar. I didn't want to give a 1 star but the best I can do is 2. Needs lots of improvement with food and he needs to be a lot happier or at least act like it around customers.

All staff working Thursday evening were very attentive and brought back more Medium well/well cooked meats for my daughter which I appreciated. She's picky as it is. All kids ate very well and glad they ate more protein than carbs. I was glad hubby wanted to have his birthday dinner here. I was in picanha and perfectly cooked sirloin heaven. I stayed away from the bar and only ate the grilled meats. Christine brought us garlic mashed potatoes, polenta and the plantains. Our kids didn't even want to touch the bread, but they managed to save room for dessert. No shock there, but I told them they're missing out. I was bummed the kids shared with me on the way home that they found a long dark hair in their garlic mashed potato plate and that's why they didn't eat it. This had been the only mishap here. Overall, it was still a nice birthday dinner celebration. Thanks to everyone serving us meats and to Christine; You were all great.
