I really like this place. The steak is always top quality. The staff is friendly and there's always a lot of people checking on you throughout your meal. Get a players card and you get 20% off every day. That's a great thing for a $300 to $400 meal. I got the surf and turf and the steak was phenomenal. The lobster was good. We were celebrating a birthday and they did a nice job of recognizing that and bringing over a complimentary dessert. I'm taking a star away because we were seated next to one of their giant screens. These screens rotate through different scenes of famous locations throughout the world. Although a cool idea, it's not great to be seated right next to that. Very distracting tbh. Way too bright. Got to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday at Bimini's and we were all not disappointed at all. The service from Lassandra was outstanding as she was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu and knew it was for a birthday and made sure the birthday boy, along with us, were taken cared of. We each got a taste of the menu from steak, to seafood and ravioli. Our coconut shrimp an appetizer was amazing and the sauce that compliment each bite had a beautiful balance. The stuffed mushrooms was an overall great app as well unless you don't like soft textures I would choose the coconut shrimp at least. All of our entrees were served and cooked perfectly and timely. As we ate we were all able to have a conversation without any disruptions and even got to watch the big screen of photos and videos of landscapes, both local and not, as we enjoyed our dinner. This is our first time dining at Bimini steakhouse. Our server, Bill, was excellent. He went through the iPad menu as well as tonight's specials. Since we looked at what to get before we came here tonight, we didn't get tonight's specials. I tried their "Flight of Filet Mignon medallions" along with a side dish of asparagus, and my wife tried their "lobster crusted Chilean sea bass". Their meats were marinated so well, we didn't need additional seasoning to go along with the steaks. My first time trying the A5 Japanese Wagyu and Australian Wagyu. I'm speechless. The food all comes out à la carte I had the filet mignon and my husband had the tomahawk steak which can I say is huge the presentation is amazing. The servers were great and attentive. The ambience was pretty was a little loud in there, but granted it was a weekend, but it is a must try. We visited from Las Vegas and went to Bimini to celebrate my husband's birthday. Mike and Tony were our servers and they were amazing!! First thing the host gave my husband a birthday card and I think that was very kind, then they brought us some bread and butter that had a good flavor and texture. My husband ordered the pineapple margarita and I had the peach cosmopolitan that was delightful. So the birthday boy ordered tomahawk and Truffle Mac & Cheese as a side. The tomahawk was divine, so flavorful and soft, cooked just right. We had other steakhouses in Las Vegas and Brazil and Bimini so far is our favorite! To finalize they gave my husband a chocolate mousse cake on the house because of his birthday. Last year, when I attempted to steal my wife for an anniversary staycation at the Peppermill we missed this restaurant, due to their popularity at the time, and reservation led outdoor not be gotten. This year, I planned well enough ahead and booked reservations the same night we checked-in. This place is absolutely amazing! From the greeting at the entrance, to the servers that assisted along the way, Bimini is 100% world-class service from start to finish. Cammie, was our main server, and she helped us Allan's the newbie road of how things worked there. Your steaks and sides are separate, but the sides are served family style so there is plenty to share few people for two people or more, if sharing. I went with the 18oz prime rib, and I am not unhappy at all with this choice. My side of choice was the main lobster whipped potatoes. Other reviews had complained that the amount of lobster was disappointing, but I have to disagree. My side was perfectly balanced, and made sure the potatoes remained the star of the show, as they should be. The prime rib was perfectly cooked, and flavorful with or without the jus or creamy horseradish that accompanied it. The cocktail I had to indulge myself in was an old fashioned- and let me tell you this has got to be the best drink I've ever had, and I love old fashioned a lot. Think of the spa and drinking it...this is what it tasted like. Just pure shippable bliss. We were treated to an unexpected anniversary dessert that was shared together, and was a great end to a perfect dining experience. Now that I'm a full time care taker for my mom it's harder to get out like I used to. I plan my outings around her needs so I make it worth while. Tonight I came out to have a late birthday celebration for myself and a dear friend of mine. Things were pre-arranged and when I want everything to go perfect I request Mike Vazaz to make sure things go smoothly. Mike has worked at the Peppermill Steakhouse for over 25 years. He's the best of the best. From beginning to end, this man makes things happen. Tonight I requested the original onion soup with the melted cheese on top instead of the new puff pastry (I just like the original) and that's exactly what I got. My angus dry aged 18oz. bone in rare plus rib eye was perfectly cooked... this only happens when Mike takes care of me. I've been here plenty of times in the last 15 years and this man never fails me, he makes sure the kitchen gets this right. My lobster mashed potatoes were on point; very buttery. Tonight the table side Caesar salad was spectacular and perfectly seasoned. Usually they put too much anchovy paste,not tonight. The palette cleansers came on time and the champagne was flowing. The only issue tonight was the Cafe Diablo. I'm not a fan of it because everyone makes it differently but tonight it just wasn't how I like it. Maybe it was the lemon rind. I'm used to a stronger orange flavor. Next time I'll ask for a tiny bit of the lemon rind and more orange essence. We had an amazing relaxing experience at Bimini Steakhouse tonight and we will do it again. Thank you Mike for taking care of us and making tonight a special night to remember. This is the second year we have celebrated my husband's birthday at Bimini steakhouse. The food is delicious, comfortable large booths, and beautiful captivating images of the world playing while you eat which makes for great conversation. The true star of the show however, both years (!), has been our waiter Manny. He makes the cocktails and salad at your table. He's friendly and knowledgeable, conscientious, and goes above and beyond to make each dinner a celebration. We are staying at the Peppermill for about a week, and we will go to the steakhouse 3-4 nights just to have the pleasure of seeing him. They were hot, well seasoned, tasty. The stuffed mushrooms, lukewarm warm at best. Then there was the crab cake. Cold in the center, twice. So, if you look at my Yelp, I have dozens of restaurants. I alway grade service, location, food, and atmosphere on a 1 to 5 scale. My wife and I both had the Filet and Lobster. She had a side of asparagus. All of the food was very good. They do a small pre-meal sorbet, which was a nice touch. The atmosphere was nice. Tables spread out and plenty of elbow room. The place does need better, less Liberace, decor. Better lighting and more subtle look would class it up. The location, definitely off the path of convenience. But, that's the PepperMill. Nothing is convenient. They do try and give you a view of the pool. Service, wow, what great service. The staff was kind, friendly, attentive and did a great job. Between the staff and food, one can over look the location and decor. It is Reno after all. Atmosphere 3. For the pricing it should have better lighting and decor. Location 3. It should be better accessible. It's almost an after thought. Food 5. Was excellent. Staff 5. Was excellent. Can't say enough. We were in town for Father's Day and wanted a nice steak dinner. Neither one of us have ever been to the Peppermill for food, but have heard great things about their signature steakhouse, Bimini. When you arrive to the resort, head to the front desk and take the escalators directly from the left to the second floor. From there, hang a right and walk all the way down past the gym and you will find Bimini (you'll see signs). Since it was relatively packed because of Father's Day, reservations were hard to get. We didn't want to wait until 9pm (their next available seating) so we chose to sit at the bar. It worked out nicely because there were just a few other people dining there. We ordered the following: * 12oz Prime Rib ($44) * Dry Aged New York Striploin - Aged 42 Days - ($73) * Au Gratin Potatoes ($12) * Sautéed Mushroom ($12) Both entrees were cooked to the temperature requested -- the steak had good marbling and the 12oz prime rib was big enough for two people to share. The potatoes and mushrooms were splendid. I heard from our neighboring diners that the Maine Lobster Whipped Potatoes are really good also. They nailed the medium rare request. The meat was tender and seasoned well, dipped in the accompanied au ju... perfect. Baked potato was the right texture and came with the right fixings. Firstly, the food was impeccable. We hadn't been out as a family in ages, and I mentioned we were celebrating two birthdays to the waiter up front... his reply was we would be receiving complimentary chocolate mousse cake, so save room. Now, as nice as that is, my party had planned on ordering flaming dessert, as is customary when available... not only was dessert of our choice not offered, we felt rushed throughout our entire experience. It started when we sat down and our server started taking our order without offering appetizers- which we had planned to order- and pushed us right into main courses, assuring us that two sides would be plenty for our party of four. After taking two of our steak orders, our server asked us to wait while he served a tomahawk table side... we then resumed placing the order several minutes later. I ordered the filet flight, 4oz Japanese Wagyu, 4oz American Wagyu, 4oz Prime. It comes with three sauces and small potato/veg side. Definitely worth the price tag ($162). The side dishes for the other members of the group were not split easily and left a couple people feeling left out without enough to eat... especially without any appetizers. The server seemed distracted and had a frazzled sense of timing. I regret not mentioning this when the manager stopped by to ask about how things were going.. however, the worst was yet to come. Not only was the complimentary chocolate mousse cake not what any of us would have chosen, but when they were served, the waiter told us to wait and he would be right back. He lit the candles and we waited until the candles had burned down completely before blowing them out... when he finally came back, to ask how everything was, we told him we hadn't tried the mousse, because he told us to wait... he asked if he had really said that... um.. yes, you did. We weren't offered coffee or a choice of dessert, nor were we offered starters. I didn't event get wine because I had barely started my delicious cocktail when our main course arrived. We felt rushed and very disappointed in the service- especially when we paid so much for dinner. Like I said, the steaks were superb. The service was not. We will give this place a second chance, because the food was so good, with the hopes that we can enjoy it at our pace instead of feeling like we are in a diner and they need our table. I know they didn't need our table, so it would appear our server was either having an off night, or - more likely - isn't able to attune to the unique needs of each party. The risotto salmon was creamy and light. The noodle in the menu with bunch of seafood was our favorite, pasta was fresh and tasty, adding with seafood was sumptuous.. If you want to order a ceasar salad they will prepare in front on you, I got to experience the freshness. I ordered a lemon drop lavander martini, your server will prepare in front of you, the sourness is that excites me.. They'll give you a hot towel to clean your hands Their dessert was good, I recommend the cheesecake and the chocolate. But if not they will give you a chocolate caramel at the end of the meal. Loved this place from start to finish. I enjoyed dinner at this beautifully decorated establishment while on a self care staycation at the Peppermill a few weeks back. I'm not normally a steakhouse chick, but this was such a lovely experience. I had the pleasure of being taken care of by 3 lovely hosts/ waiters which was new for me. All of which had excellent customer service from the drinks to receiving my meals. The ambiance is so nice and although the prices are more on the expensive side you get your moneys worth. The food was just enough in portion size, very tasty, and well paired with the drinks.
