Walking in I can say I truly love the ambiance of Bin 303. It's a restaurant designed in a house. It's so charming and quaint in the main dining areas. You feel like you are at home! I made a reservation and I highly recommend you do the same. We were greeted by the hostess and she seemed friendly. I requested a booth and it was ready upon our arrival. We were having dinner and drinks on a Saturday night. The place was packed so that's a good sign. Our waiter Chris introduced himself. He was friendly and helpful. The service was good and as I looked around. I noticed everything was clean. The decor was appropriate for the home setting and I appreciated it. I ordered a Mandarin cocktail. It was tasty and strong! For an appetizer we tried the crab mac and cheese. It was good, but not great. It was missing something. The crab was almost invisible and it wasn't cheesy enough. There is room for improvement, but it was still tasty. My entree was shrimp and grits. It was pleasing to my palate. It was yummy to my tummy. The shrimp and grits were well seasoned. We've gone to Bin five times in the last two months and every time it's been great. The crab skillet dip is phenomenal! Do yourself a favor and just try it. This is now the best restaurant in Rockwall and priced accordingly. I'm a little sad to see Culpeppers toppled from its long-standing throne, but man alive Bin 303 is amazing. It has amazeballs service, and the food is highly recommended. When I want to impress an Important Visitor, this is where I take them. They do the best wedge salad I've ever had. My only complaint about the pork chop is that it is SO GOOD I am always reluctant to try anything else. I'm in a rut and have ordered the pork chop the last three times I've gone there. I am planning to move on to the pork tenderloin next time but might be tough. Always ask about the specials, because they are the only thing that might be able to consistently get me to pass on the pork chop. Steak was over cooked, mushrooms were so burnt that they were inedible. Everything was completely under salted. The wine reduction mushrooms that came with the filet were not reduced at all so they just tasted of STRONG wine only. WAY too expensive for what we got... I don't mind paying a lot for good food, but that was quite literally inedible, under salted, and just okay. Seriously do not recommend. Wow! This was the best dining experience I've had in quite some time. I'm visiting from out of town and my dad made reservations a few days ago. There was a mixup and our reservation was scheduled in the wrong day. Instead of putting us on the waitlist, they sat us at the next available table and it was seamless. Excellent customer service. Our server was Logan. He was AMAZING. He told us the story of the craftsman style building and how it was once a home from the SEARS catalog and constructed in the 1920's. Some of the tables were made from repurposed wood from the original building. He gave excellent recommendations and my "dusted pepper filet" came out perfectly. The brandy cream sauce *Chefs kiss*. My family and I spent half the meal talking about how excellent all of our food was. Also, the crab dip appetizer is to die for. Literally, EVERYTHING was perfect. Wine selection was in pointe and reasonably priced (less expensive that CA prices for the same wine by the bottle). Wine presentation was lovely. Ambience was cool and casual but the food was 5 star fine dining. Honestly, I can't say enough wonderful things. I will 100% be coming back on my next visit. I highly suggest you come here whether you're a local or visiting. You will not be disappointed. I would suggest reservations on a weekend. It was busy. First dinner dining experience here! We called to make a reservation but got voicemail so we decided to head on over anyway but take our advice and make reservations in advance! We sat outside and had a glass of wine. Their Brothers red blend recommended by bartender, Kelsea was delicious! The weather was perfect to sit outside as we waited for our table. The hostess was confusing and she apologized for being misleading about when we would be sat but we finally did get a table. We also enjoyed the crab dip appetizer while waiting. The filet I ordered medium was rare on one said so my husband ate what I could not since I don't like my steak that red but the 4 bites I had were delicious. The Mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts and truffled taters were good. My husband liked his beer battered shrimp and so did I! My daughter enjoyed her burger but nit as much as she liked the Reese's pie. The key lime pie was more sweet than tart but still fresh and yummy. The service by Adam was superb. The bathrooms smelled good and were clean. I liked the aromatherapy throughout the restaurant and the decor and ambiance. My daughter got a kick out of the huge cushy booth we sat in that made us look tiny when we sat down. Very comfortable but the table is very close to your chest ! Love Bin303! The burgers and sandos are excellent for lunch. Probably the best in town. They make a darn fine rocks margarita. The bar staff makes excellent recommendations. I've no financial stake in the restaurant. I just have enjoyed my meals there. Seeing all the negativity makes me wonder what the hell is going on. Slow service warrants a 1 star? I guess... Not. Went for my birthday dinner tonight. Even better than the last time we ate here. Joey makes the most delicious cocktails. They aren't on the menu, you just ask him to be creative. Trust me, the man can make a cocktail. I had the braised short rib with jalapeno grits... superb, only critique is I would like the salad a little more dressed ( but that's more a flaw with me than the dish - I like things dressed more than most). My son had the mac'n'cheese... Wow y'all. Wow. We also had the pulled pork sandwich and Texan burger, again... YUM. I recommend not going. I called to see how long the wait was for a table of 3. They said no wait. We walk in the door not even 10 minutes later with our child to a hostess and a gentleman who whispers in her ear and makes off as quickly as possible. Hostess immediately says "oh, sorry, there is a 1 hour wait." *feigns a nose-wrinkled, fake, condescending "I'm so sorry (but not)" face. Guess they don't serve families? Kids? No one was waiting and when she saw us look at three empty tables in the bar area she offered us to have drinks and appetizers there as an after thought. Funny with a "1 hour wait" there is no one sitting outside, waiting in line, and there are still empty bar tables. We won't be going back and make sure we will not recommend this place to anyone. We had come here for the first time on a Saturday night and we are so glad that we called ahead and made a reservation, because we may not have gotten a table if we didn't call ahead. This restaurant is in a remodeled home within downtown Rockwall and there were about 15 tabletops that we saw plus a bar area and limited outside seating. Very intimate seating area that we enjoyed. I arrived about 15 minutes before my reservation so we sat at the bar. We had ordered a few variety of drinks while waiting for the table; a draft wine, the Bin Rita, their Bin 303 give back cocktail for November "Festive pomegranate martini", and some long islands. All of the cocktails were very good, we just didn't like how small the glass was for the bin Rita. Our waitress did a great job, very helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive. She was able to answer our questions that we had, and even asked the chef if he could make a small change to an item we had wanted. All of the food here was so good. For appetizers we ordered the iron skillet crab dip (MUST ORDER) and also the special app for the night which was a sausage and shrimp egg roll with Asian BBQ sauce and cole slaw which was very good as well. Entres we got the pepper dusted filet with the perfect addition, and the Serrano apple buttered whiskey marinated pork tenderloin. The filet is served with out sides so you have to order those separately, and the pork comes with bacon Mac n cheese and grilled asparagus. Both of these were amazing and cooked to perfection. The only thing we did not like as much was the mushrooms that were served with the filet, they were soaked in a wine that we just personally didn't enjoy. We ordered sides of mashed potatoes and we special ordered a CRAB Mac n cheese. For dessert we got the creme brule and the chocolate pot de creme, both of these were so good that I didn't get a chance to take a picture before they were gone. This place is definitely somewhere that we will return to, as everything on the menu and everything we saw during service looked wonderful. Something we did not try this time, but will in the future is the Texican burger, we saw several of these get served during service and they looked great. Bin 303 is by far the BEST restaurant in Rockwall!!! It was packed even for a Wednesday night. Both my husband and I have been once before and wanted to introduce it to some friends. Once again, we were blown away by the amazing food and service. The waiter was friendly, not overly pushy to take our order and was well informed with the menu to answer our questions. My husband had the pork tenderloin with the street style corn and I had the salmon with crab meat and Brussel sprout bacon medley. The pork tenderloin; perfectly cooked, a good crust and super tender. They added a sweet glaze to compliment the salty, peppery flavor of the pork. My husband said it was the best he's ever had. My salmon was also seasoned to perfection. It didn't need the crab topping but it was a nice addition to the meal. I particularly enjoyed the veggie medley with the awesome bacon flavor. I cannot leave out the amazing dessert we ordered...caramelized bananas on top of pound cake with vanilla ice cream. I was already so full but was fighting my husband for the last bite. It was the perfect end to a wonderful dining experience. If you're interested in a farm to table style meal, I highly recommend Bin 303. We will certainly be back. read more

Heard here that Bin 303s pulled pork on sourdough sandwich was amazing. I enjoy pulled pork on sourdough so....I ordered it as takeout. The sight of Wonderfully crispy bread and promising pulled pork with tempting burned ends looked delicious!!!! when I got it home. But, when I bit in ALL I tasted was salt...overwhelming saltiness. I was so sorry that I could not enjoy the pulled pork and crusty bread. I mean this review as a strong suggestion to this wonderful eatery. I know any other customer would agree. There's salty, then there's so SALTY one cannot finish the sandwich. (The accompanying fries were also beautiful and crispy but also over salted). Pass the ice water please. This place is always been chef owned and operated. And there's always been delicious. I went in there the other night to get two soups. They put the sour cream on the chili and covered the lid and so it coddled. Then corn chowder was tasting like Captain crunch... it was so sweet. There was no balance to it whatsoever. I reached out to them so they could make it right. They got back to me and said that they're trying to work on it... that they're busy cuz it's a holidays.... even though that I was the customer that had come in the night before... so they were taking care of the customers that were there at that time and not taking care of me. They're in the service industry. I gave him a second chance to make it right. They didn't. I called the chef back. He didn't return my call. They have lost my business and my family's business forever. read more
