My first time here I had a difficult time with one of the workers , I was convinced I would not come back to this location, HOWEVER, I'm glad when I told the manager about the incident she handled it with grace and assured me it would be taken seriously and she apologized. Not only that she then offered to be the one to start my iv and as a nurse I've seen a lot of insertions and also have had some done. Karen rock sheet is hands-down the best I've ever encountered!! And now when I come the staff is friendly and Cruz is so sweet she explains everything step my step and helps calm my anxiety. Honestly..? This was a terrible experience. Only two staff members were kind to me and made me feel like a patient, Harry the main phlebotomist and Lisa the nurse. The rest of the staff was rude and did not seem to recognize me as a person... I get that they see a lot of patients but I truly felt as though they did not care whatsoever. This was my first time donating, and they messed up my vein about 3 times. The first guy was unable to fix the mistake he made by fully missing my vein, and I had to wait with a needle incorrectly placed in my arm for about 2-3 minutes. The person who came to fix it couldn't either, so she was just digging in my arm. She ended up perforating my vein and causing bruising. Throughout this, she was speaking to the other phlebotomist and did not talk to me much at all and said that the pain I had was normal. Eventually they called over the main phlebotomist and he was able to speak to me like a patient and take the needle out of my arm. Since, I have been deferred. To become un-deferred I have been calling every day for 5 days now without a call back. To contact the center, you have to go through the corporate offices and are unable to contact them directly, which makes this even more frustrating. I've been donating for more than a year to this center. It's NEVER been this bad. The place is understaffed & it seems like people just come whenever they want to. Today, I literally arrived 15 before my appointment, filled out the questionnaire & went to stand in the line where they take your vitals & prick your finger. The line was by the beds & the line to actually get a bed was by the door! I literally booked this appt early at 9:30 am because at 1 pm I needed to leave. Judging by the scene today, that wasn't going to happen. This is the 2nd time this has happened. I'm considering this my sign to donate somewhere else! One more thing, the last time I did donate, was 2 weeks ago. It took a long time for someone to take the needle out. At that point, I was getting nervous because a little blood was coming out. During my visits, I have noticed employees often engaging in personal conversations about their weekends or daily lives, even when long lines of customers are present. This behavior not only creates an unprofessional atmosphere but also slows down service, causing inconvenience and frustration for those waiting. It also reflects poorly on the center's efficiency and dedication to customer service. After reviewing online feedback, I discovered that this is not an isolated incident. Numerous reviews from other donors have highlighted similar experiences, indicating a recurring problem that has yet to be adequately addressed. This lack of corrective action is concerning, and, frankly, makes it seem as though management isn't taking this issue seriously. As a long-time supporter of your organization, I value the services you provide. However, the consistent presence of this issue has become a deterrent. Yesterday was my first appointment! I was a little off put by the location. And I had no idea people did this to obtain money. I have been donating blood since I was a teen. But someone reached out to me as a retiree and said there were perks. It was a very slow process, but since it was my orientation I expected to be there a few hours, I was there 3.5. The staff were professional, the facility clean. I read everything I was sent so I was prepared for my questions, my forms, and my physical. But a lot of the other first timers were not! That surprised me!! I even ate healthy for several days prior so I wouldn't be sent home! Color me proud!!! I am going during a promotion to pay out $750 for 8 visits in a month! Ouch!!! I don't know about other locations. As far as waiting time goes, but the one in Pomona is ridiculous! The last couple of times it has taken me at least 2-1/2 to 3 hours to complete. The only reason why I actually came here was because of their promotion of $750 for 8 donations. After that, you go to $40 a donation $100 (total) if you donate twice within that same week. I actually started at Octapharma in Covina, where if you go on a regular bases (2×week), you're given $65 per donation ($130 per week), and they do have a promotion for new patients. And there, the longest I have ever waited, was maybe an hour and 15 minutes to complete my donation (depending on the time of day, you go). I'm rating Biolife Plasma with 1 star because of how long they take to service an individual and pay them so little. read more

I was terrified to come because of all the horrible reviews & ratings but I'm so happy I gave it a shot for myself. First appt did take 4 hours which was expected. I think they could do a better job of explaining the process for new donors. I felt overwhelmed & it was chaotic & I felt lost at first lol. But I managed to figure it out. After the 1st appointment, everything was smooth. Staff are all super nice & try their best to get through their incredibly busy days. I do feel like they're short staffed for the amount of patients they have. Often times waiting for them to hook us up or discharge. Definitely recommend coming with time & patience! Don't listen to the negative comments! This was my first visit and the staff was so amazing. I was one of those people that did get sick and a bit lightheaded but that's only because I have a fear of blood in general. I was almost done but couldn't last lol! I think Samantha was my nurse and she tended to me. She was so sweet and helpful. She gave me ice packs, an emesis bag and even wiped my mouth for me after I vomited. She is an outstanding nurse! Lot of waiting, met with RN for physical 150pm, still wasn't able to donate, spend 2.5 hrs there. I would like to start off by saying that This company is good not that bad . If you want to donate from this company I recommend the one in Rialto on foothill. This branch in Pomona is not the best . I've came here for the last few of my donations and honestly the workers look like they don't even want to be there. Their faces are deadpanned and most don't even know how to poke . The few times I've donated at the one in Rialto it was painless , but over here it's to the point you dread wanting to donate . Don't get me started with how long they have you wait on the bed to just even hook you up or to send you on your way home. The most you'll be waiting is about 30 minutes on the bed.
