The house-made focaccia might be some of the best I've ever had, soft, fresh, and with that perfect bounce you want from focaccia. It's filled with fresh mozzarella and spinach pesto, and I added chicken for extra protein. The sandwich is huge, easily big enough to split with someone. The sandwich itself is on the pricier side ($17 + $6 for chicken), but the quality is there. You can also add prosciutto for less, which I'd definitely consider next time. The house pickles on the side were gas. We also grabbed a half loaf of sourdough for around $6, which I thought was a great option. My fiancée and I sometimes struggle to finish a full loaf, so being able to buy half was perfect. I had some toasted with breakfast the next morning, and the sourdough was excellent too. They also have a great-looking pastry selection, and I'm already looking forward to coming back to work my way through the other sandwiches, both grilled and cold. Again, don't get me wrong...both sandwiches were fine, but paying $14 for a sandwich on two slices of bread just doesn't seem worth it to me. Adding in chips and drinks (from a fountain machine where the Coke Zero exploded on you, and the Diet Coke seemed flat) for $40 wasn't a great deal. Guy at the counter was very apologetic for them running out of the rustic loaves, for what it was worth...not $40, that's for sure.

Disheartening Experience at Birdcall Inside Whole Foods I visited Birdcall this evening at 5:00 PM, which is located inside Whole Foods and unfortunately had an incredibly disheartening experience. Despite my excitement to try their offerings, my visit was marred by an unsettling incident of apparent racial bias. Upon entering the establishment, I waited for service for an extended period without being acknowledged. What struck me was the stark contrast in the treatment I received compared to other patrons. Two white gentlemen sat right beside me and were immediately acknowledged and served. Similarly, a white couple sat across from me and were promptly attended to. Unfortunately, I, being African American, did not receive the same level of service. This experience brings to mind a study I came across recently that delves into the persistence of racial prejudices in public settings, particularly in the context of full-service restaurants. The study highlights the unfortunate reality that members of racially underrepresented groups, such as African Americans, continue to face disparate treatment. It emphasizes the prevalence of anti-Black attitudes, as evidenced by negative perceptions toward tipping and dining behaviors. Feeling ignored and marginalized, I decided to leave the establishment. It's disheartening to realize that such discriminatory behaviors persist in today's society, and establishments like Birdcall must address these issues promptly. In light of my experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend Birdcall to others. I will not be returning, and I urge potential patrons to reconsider supporting an establishment that appears to tolerate or perpetuate racial bias. I had taken the RTD to Union Station and was hungry when I got off the train. Searched what was around through Yelp of course and this place came up with high ratings. Located inside the Whole Foods you place your order at the iPad outside of the restaurant if you are paying with card. I got the deluxe tossed in the Nashville hot sauce (25 cent up charge that is worth it). Made it a combo with fries and a drink so total was about $13. Considering this was downtown and inside a Whole Foods, that was pretty affordable. The sandwich was so so good!!!!! It was cooked perfectly and juicy and the Nashville hot had enough heat and flavor. Definitely my new go to for chicken sandwiches (see you later Chick-fil-A). The fries were kind of bland so I could do without those next time. Note any sauces are an extra 25 cents. I was sitting there watching a woman ask / complain to get four different sauces. She kept saying she bought a sandwich and wanted sauces. Is it necessary that you need four different sauces for your one sandwich and since I saw her order off the iPad she should have known it cost 25 cents. Come on people, be a little more deligient. Props to the employee who handled this woman's nonsense. Though maybe have one free sauce per order would be nice. read more

While the place is very divey, the cheeseburgers are 100% worth it, and you should ignore the cramped and crowded bar to eat one of the best burgers of your life These burgers are smashers, loaded with cheese and served with waffle fries. Everything was seasoned perfectly and served piping hot. This is the absolute perfect hangover meal or late-night out meal. We had it for lunch after traveling the entire morning, and it truly hit the spot! I honestly don't know how this spot could be any better. Maybe if they gave them away for free? what the heck was that?…read more we had absolutely no idea what we were getting into here and we are SO glad we followed through. daltons is located inside of rino country club. it's a funky yellow mini golf bar. from the outside i would've never guessed that i'd enjoy this place so much. i truly thought we were walking into a rino frat boy watering hole but to my surprise, this was an absolute win. it's giving yummy food + divey in all the right places. local feel. fun art. mini golf out back. great bar selection. and finally a patio that isn't overwhelmingly busy. it was such a treat to sit out in the sun with our friends on a sunday and relax. the cheeseburger itself was iconic. a simple smash. waffle fries. ketchup. its exactly what i want when i'm craving a cheeseburger. i don't need all the fancy shit. our entire crew absolutely devoured our meals and then talked about this place for weeks after. big fan and will definitely be back.
