Wow! Ever since I saw they have a Nashville Hot chicken sandwich on the menu I have been dying to check it out. I finally got the chance today and I have mixed feelings. First of all, a word of caution, the Nashville Hot is really freaking hot. So hot I couldn't taste any of the sweet part of a traditional Nashville Hot sweet and spicy marriage. Like burn my lips off hot. If you're into that kind masochism then go get you one. The rest of our food was really good. We had The Original, fries, a mocha shake and an Oreo shake. So I ordered from here a few days ago during the quarantine. I'd never heard of this place even though it's so close. I ordered the grilled Ceaser chicken sandwich with fries and the grilled chicken salad. The first thing I noticed was that the food came stapled in the bag! I do appreciate that especially since most restaurants don't take the time with that little detail and it's so important right now with the virus ongoing.After that I noticed there was a hard thing like a rice cake that I bit into and after reading the menu I delightfully discovered that it was fried cheese. So I've visited Birdcall DU twice now. In the same week, in fact! Yeah, so I have been wanting to check them out for a while and fortune conspired to put me on their doorstep when I was pretty hungry. I started with the basic sandwich and tots. I really like tots. REALLY LIKE THEM. Theirs are great because they have some seasoning on them (wish maybe more?). The chicken sandwich was good and I'll be having another one or two. I loved that they were generous with the pickles as well. It was a touch on the dry side, so I will reserve my opinion until I've had a few more, but the tots are NUTS. So much so that I dragged a family member there and all we had was tots. They approved wholeheartedly as well. Evidence: we smashed two orders in less than 5 minutes. I like what they've got going on menu wise. It's simple and it comes together very nicely. Also, the service is VERY warm and friendly. I'm wishing they put one in down south (Lone Tree? Littleton? Stopped in finally to try this place and was not disappointed! Chicken sandwiches (buffalo and Seoul one) were both delicious!! And they have a pretty good beer selection too! The menu system was super easy and AJ, the guy who seemed to be in charge, was extremely helpful to everyone who walked in the door! Summary: good food but slow as snails and untrained staff taking your order. I drove thru the drive thru at 1pm, 3 cars in front of me and I kid you not, waited 24 minutes in the car. And to top it off, my simple and small order was wrong. I had high hopes for this place and may try it again in a few months, but for now I'll get my chicken sandwich elsewhere. They did not request I update my review but wanted to do so anyways. This time around my family and I dined at their patio. I ordered the grilled Asian chicken salad and it was amazing. I will get it again when I return. My kids shared a 3 piece meal with fresh fruit (strawberries and blueberries) and it was high quality food I felt good about feeding my kids. Husband had the spicy Kentucky sandwich. Taste was excellent, it was however quite greasy (I mean, it's fried chicken). I tried the iced coffee and shared the feedback that it is pretty acidic. Reality is, you aren't going to get true Corvus quality unless you go to Corvus... Overall the food and service was great just set the expectation that this isn't FAST food, they make things fresh and you need to wait a little bit either in the drive thru or when you dine in. I've only been once, but I am counting down the days till I go back! Their take on the chicken sandwich is remarkable. I was very surprised at how well cooked the chicken was. I wasn't sure what to expect, seeing as I am partial to a Chick-fil-A sandwich. But Birdcall makes an amazing chicken sandwich and their fun drink options keep you on your toes! To start with, the food is great! It tastes very fresh and light. To go along with good food is really exceptional staff that goes above and beyond! So they missed a kids portion of chicken strips in our drive through...not a great start, but I figured out when we returned home. I wasn't about to load the kids back in the car, so I returned once we got the kids to sleep and I went back solo without wife and kids. I was just going to get maybe a coupon or credit for another kids meal, but the manager without asking apologized, and refunded my whole meal ticket. And then offered to send me home with something, milkshake. I was taken a back that the manager / drive through greeter went over the top even while I was insisting on paying. On a free night a couple of months ago, my friend and I ended up at Birdcall for dinner. We were bored, meandering around while deciding what to eat. When we spotted Birdcall, we had to check it out. The slick design of the building drew us in, and from then on, we were in love. After many visits following the first, I can safely say that Birdcall is a phenomenal place to eat. The process of ordering and picking up food is easy and fun, and you even get to see a countdown until your food is ready. The prices can be a bit expensive, but the quality of food lives up to the cost. The chicken is always perfectly crispy, the bun beautifully complementing it. The fries and shakes are top notch, providing sweet and savory in between bites of the main attraction. I always leave with a full belly, and a renewed spirit. My discovery of Birdcall was a pleasant surprise, and I recommend you experience it for yourself. I wish I could keep this gem of a restaurant to myself, but it is too good not to share. read more

A "fast food" joint that is so good, I love it. They basically make fried chicken sandwiches, milkshakes, etc. You order on a computer and it just pops out of the kitchen. For a togo order - the chicken was still crispy and the right amount of heat from the 'nashville' sauce. The Fries did not stay crispy on the ride home, however, the Ranch sauce was on point!!!! Y'all's chicken Caesar salad, chicken tenders, and fries are all exceptional. The Caesar, in specific, is everything I've ever wanted from a Caesar salad. BUT, I just had one of your Nashville spicy sandwiches (or whatever it's called), and something about it was effed up in a very serious way. First half was great; second half almost made me up-chuck the first half. It like wasn't chicken, or something. It was grilled fat, and it was goddamned inedible. Waited 20 minutes in the drive through for them to figure out how to do a split transaction and they were unable to do it 3. They had to ask us again what drinks we ordered even after they gave us the food 4. What a waste of time and money. I've been a fan of Birdcall in the past...but no longer. The person working the drive through was awful. We waited about 15 mins at the window. The food we ordered is not what we got. The "diet cola" I ordered for my wife tasted like cleaning chemicals.... Just one thing after the other. I'm starting at DU this fall and came here with my family out of high praise. I got an Asian Salad with grilled chicken and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was juicy, not dried out like most fast food places. I could tell it was made fresh and made to order, versus places that premake them and pull them out of coolers as they are ordered. And I'm not one for fancy sauces (give me the basic vinaigrette and I'm set) but the guy who we ordered it from recommended I at least give the sweet chili vinaigrette a try. Thanks for the gentle push, Ryan, it was fantastic. I'll definitely be coming back here and trying new things. The customer service is one that should be duplicated and taught to other restaurants. The fancy ordering system is a little overwhelming to start. But once you get past the 'awe' factor, it's extremely user friendly. And the same guy was there to help us with any questions we had. Love this place! Great addition to the neighborhood. They are really committed to customer service despite the "millennial" ordering interface. This is apparent by the "manager type" that walks around to make sure everything is better than expected. Great approach! Food is great quality and you can pretty much get whatever your heart desires as far as a fried chicken sandwich goes. My only gripe is it's a little congested. Ordering, waiting, drinks, eating and the garbage receptacles are all close together. A little more effort as to the flow will help in the winter. read more

My favorite part of the whole meal was the sweet mustard sauce I put on top. We were immediately impressed with the polite greeting accompanied by directions on how to order and pick up food. Well this place went from great too suck real quick! They raised their prices so now a salad and a drink is around 20$. They hired a full staff of people that can't speak English so your order is right about 50% of the time. Also you have too wait at least 20 minutes for your order when busy. Your car will get hit in the tiny lot they have. Traffic backs up into the street often cause they are too slow in the drove thru. I would rate this spot a 8.5/10 for great customer service, quality of food, and for the overall creativeness of their brand. This was my first time visiting this place and the lady who took my order was so kind. She gave me a complimentary drink and two different flavor cookies to try out. The food was great. I got the Deluxe sandwich and it was a really good with the buttermilk ranch and their fries were fresh. The salted caramel cookie was really good too.
