My son is newly gluten free, and I was thrilled to see that Birdcall had a variety of GF options on their menu. I ordered him a classic sandwich on a GF bun - neglecting to think about the gluten on the chicken coating. However - when I pulled around to the window the gal at the window kindly asked if we preferred a grilled piece of chicken to avoid gluten, which was really thoughtful and perfectly timed! He loved the sandwich and felt like he was participating with the family meal. So grateful! read more

I tried birdcall recently and enjoyed it overall, but it was not as good as other chicken places I have tried. The one thing I like is the unique options they have! The menu had a little bit of everything and I do want to try more options. The reason I didn't like the chicken as much was that it was not at all crunchy, so that might just be a personal preference thing. The chicken, however, did seem fresh and of good quality. They do have a very smooth system with quick service, which I enjoyed. When you walk in you place your order at kiosk and pay and then your name pops up on a screen at the front of the restaurant telling you how long it will be until your food is ready. I will be giving this place another chance but I wasn't extremely impressed with the food quality at my first visit. I will update my review if I have a different experience next time! This location has gone downhill. I was a 3x a week customer when they first opened. Today , I went at 1pm, only 2 other cars in drive thru, so not too busy. I only live 1 block away. The tots were cold. The pimiento cheese on the sandwich was super cold, which it usually melts on the chicken, IF, the chicken was hot. It was not. And it was tough. So one bite and done. Don't know if you've switch your all natural chicken with a lesser quality but no one wants tough chicken. The 2 stars because the Arnold Palmer with hibiscus tea is good. read more

The drive through is a solid 25 minute wait every time I come... not sure what the point is and why can't it go faster. Seems absurd.

Ordering was weird it's all digital on iPads but it definitely offers you a chance to get your order exactly right! Staff was friendly and polite; food was great. I'd say it's a "better cooler version of chik fil a" take that for what you will just makes sense to me. For our first visit we did drive-thru, and part of the order was missing. We called and the GM, Janice (sp?), drove to our home with the missing food, plus some extra goodies, and saved the day. Even though it was busy, she cared enough to make our experience a positive one. Aside from the food being tasty, and uniquely sourced, it is abundantly clear that the GM cares immensely about the customers. We really appreciated the gesture, effort, and quality of service. I have been a loyal birdie @ the Evans location since opening. My last two orders have been a huge disappointment. - Two orders ago, my meal was stale and cold. I ran through the drive thru about 4pm so I chalked it up to non-peak hours and being my first bad experience in years, was willing to give it another go. - My most recent order, a few days ago, I was the only patron in the parking lot and drive thru about 5-530pm. First at the window is unusual, so I thought I was about to get a hot, delicious meal made just for me. Waited damn near 15-20 minutes at the window, only to arrive home with the completely incorrect order. Like, wrong sandwich and missing sauces. I contacted the store immediately and while they refunded my money, I was really just craving my go-to sammy. The chicken was also noticeably rubbery :( I'm unsure if they have just grown too quickly, but it's at the sacrifice of quality. And as other reviewers have mentioned, it's not a cheap meal. read more

We really enjoy the food, but every time we have been, it has been extremely slow. We went when they first opened, and we were the only ones in the drive through. It took 15 minutes to get our food--just two sandwiches. We figured they were finding their legs since they had just opened, but several months later, the service was just as slow. Today we were 4th in line in the drive through, and it took 30+ minutes to get to the window. There is a sign in the drive through that says the food is "worth the wait," but waiting over half an hour in the drive through really is too long. The purpose of a drive through is to pick up food quickly. They have a sign acknowledging that the service is slow, but their attitude is, "get used to waiting" instead of "we're working to be faster and more efficient." We had a couple people in line behind us back up and leave. Unfortunately, we were trapped in the line and couldn't get out. Another issue today was that we ordered two chocolate shakes, and we were given two mocha shakes. We told the guy at the window, and his response was, "I checked with my manager, and they are chocolate." So, no apology, no offer to make them again... we know the difference between chocolate and mocha, and there was coffee in them. They were delicious, by the way, but not what we ordered. Maybe they're just not cleaning the machine between orders and that's the source of the coffee... Again, we really like the food, but we just can't wait 30 minutes in a drive through for fast food. Maybe we'll be back when we have an hour for a meal. read more

Amazing! Fast food chicken sandwiches (USA born and raised, cage free, no hormones and vegetarian diet) with a conscience replete with drive thru. Impressed with the impeccable service upon entry. AJ gave us a quick tutorial on how the ordering process works at the multiple self-order kiosks. The "hives" are then stocked with your fresh order upon completion at which time you receive a text or email notification. The restaurant was clean, bright and cheery with multiple creative seating options and a fun chicken mural on the walls. There are multiple drink options: beer, soda, teas, and shakes. A few are very interesting. Banana cream pie shake and key lime pie too! I ordered a strawberry rhubarb apple cider vinegar drink that was delicious with only a hint of sweetness. It was cold and refreshing with only a slight tang. There were multiple flavors of all natural, organic, non-gmo Tractor sodas. We tried most flavors and they were all good! We ordered the southern fried chicken sandwich and the deluxe fried chicken sandwich. The former was topped with pimento cheese and southern slaw and it was messy perfection. The slaw was a bit sweet, the pimento cheese was rich and creamy and the fried chicken was crispy and juicy. It made a wonderful sauce that dripped everywhere and it was totally worth it. The deluxe was a bit more restrained but also very good, juicy and crispy chicken, rich creamy herbed mayo and pepper jack cheese, with crispy bacon. The hand cut fries were hot, fresh and crunchy. The kale side salad with goat cheese and a Dijon dressing was tart, tangy, crunchy and was a great compliment to the sandwiches and fries. Ultimately, the food was superb, the service was outstanding, and we can't wait to go back and try more items on the menu! read more

After watching a Beat Bobby Flay episode featuring the topic, we were so excited about trying a Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. Sadly, after my first visit to Birdcall, I still am. The super high-tech ordering system was above my pay grade apparently. When you arrive at Birdcall, your only option is to order at one of three self-service kiosks. Before even viewing the menu, you must swipe your plastic--a process I find just a tad, well, gauche. Some glitch kept the kiosks taking my particular chip card, and the very friendly and helpful manager lent me a spare iPad. I was frazzled already, a little nervous, maybe overconfident since I'd planned my family's order from home. I saw what (I thought) I wanted on the top of the sandwich tab and I didn't bother to scroll down even a single line. I clicked on "The Original" thinking that was the OG Nashville Hot instead of a plain crispy chicken sandwich just like you'd find at any other drive-thru in town. I ordered 4. My own mistake, obviously. But maybe if I'd been able to order directly from one of the three people watching me as I struggled, clicking around on the iPad, I would have gotten what I came for. The chicken itself was super tasty, although the bun was surprisingly cold and slightly sogged by the pickles. The fries were just my kind of fry--thin and crispy, with the occasional guy who's mushy and salty. The pickles were perfect. Thick-sliced and mild, still reminiscent of their past life as a cucumber. The coleslaw, OMG, was divine--minced so fine it was a almost spreadable. As my frowning husband pointed out, it would be the perfect sandwich topper to some spicy chicken, if only we had some. The power salad was a huge disappointment. It was an $8.50 bowl of kale with 1/4 cup of power veg mix lightly sprinkled on top and a mayo-based garlic dressing thick enough to undo any health benefits reaped from the kale. The place looks great, the staff was really friendly, and you can see they're turning out a product they're really proud of. My 2 yr old makes it difficult to do anything so I have opted for the drive thru each time. Sorry to say I likely will not be back to the location. The sandwich was ok, but honestly there are other restaurants that offer much better value for what you pay. Birdcall is extremely overpriced for what you actually get. The sandwich itself is very small. 7 bucks and doesn't even include fries or a drink. I had high hopes but have been let down with Birdcall. Just my own experience. read more

First time here. I didn't get the chicken sandwich, but I added it to my salad for $3.50. A serving of chicken is 4 ounces. They probably put two ounces on my salad. And if that's an example of their chicken, they can keep it. It was flattened with no flavor. I paid an extra dollar for avocado. I removed the pine nuts and onions from my salad and added carrots, which cost an extra $0.25. My salad also came with kale which I wanted to sub, but there was no button kiosk to let you customize the lettuce options. The vinaigrette salad dressing tasted like lemon juice--gelatinous lemon juice. The fancy soda was good. My bill was $16.42-expensive for having to use plastic forks to eat. read more

I am so glad I found this on my Colorado visit. It is very high tech and modern, which you notice the second you walk in the door. You swipe your credit card at the kiosk to order and then you can watch how long your order will take on the screen above the kitchen. When your order is ready it will tell you on the board and they will call out your name. The Jamaican Jerk chicken sandwich and the milkshake I ordered were fantastic! Not impressed at all. We had been anticipating their opening at this location since it seems like everyone had been to their first location and said how good it was. The meals are small and overpriced, the chicken itself is tasteless (no flavor at all), we got chicken strips for the kiddos and you need either some type of seasoning or dipping sauce to add flavor. Wow! Ever since I saw they have a Nashville Hot chicken sandwich on the menu I have been dying to check it out. I finally got the chance today and I have mixed feelings. First of all, a word of caution, the Nashville Hot is really freaking hot. So hot I couldn't taste any of the sweet part of a traditional Nashville Hot sweet and spicy marriage. Like burn my lips off hot. If you're into that kind masochism then go get you one. The rest of our food was really good. We had The Original, fries, a mocha shake and an Oreo shake.
