I like how low key this area is! I'm so use to going to Jackson Heights or Williamsburg and having to wait a while for my order to be called. I do wish that they had more of a variety of sodas and/or snapple instead of just thier Mexican soda. I also was a bit annoyed that I said no red sauce in my tacos and I still got it! I know it could be a common mistake but it's a bit annoying if you're being asked twice and still get the order wrong! Hopefully for my next time I will have a correct order! Also I did enjoy the mulita but I asked for it to be well done and it came apart right when I went to take to take a bite!

I went to see fantastic 4 with my family at Lincoln sq and was walking to the train trying to figure out what to eat before heading home. Then i saw the truck. I've been to the queens, Brooklyn & Bronx locations so to see it in this area made me to excited. They had just parked so it was perfect timing. I love that they are quick, food is soo good and they have updated this truck! There's 2 screens to place your order and pay. Love that. This may be my new spot because it's the most convenient for me to get to.

I'm ngl, I like birria but it's generally not my preference cuz sometimes it's quite one-note in flavor of just braised beef which is why I usually prefer tacos w like slaws and salsas cuz I feel like they add more complexity and texture. However, I saw the reviews of the other location and knew I haD to try this trucks food, esp since it's conveniently located nearby me. Having provided this context, I want to express how amazinggg every menu item was. I was truly feasting in pure joy once I got home w my goods. There's only 4 menu items, so I decided to might as well try each one. The consomme was phenomenal, such great depth of flavor and had a good amount of beef. The beef was very tender and moist, hence making the taco, mulita, and tostada very enjoyable as well. The tostada was delightfully crunchy, and even the edges of the taco and mulita had a nice crisp to em, which was a nice textural element to contrast w the soft texture of the rest of the dish. I love that they also provide pickled onions, which add a nice touch of acidity and brightness.

This is some of the BEST tacos and tostadas I've ever had. I ordered 3 items to go-- note that this is a to go place only. You order at a kiosk and they call you up to the front to get your order. Service was super fast-- I got my items within 5 minutes of ordering them. - Taco: 100/10 (the meat was super juicy and flavorful! Honestly I wish I got more.) - Tostada: 100/10 (loved the crunchy tostada and loved how it was literally filled to the brim with flavorful topping!) - Consome: 9/10 (this was my first time having consome. It was good but a bit too salty for my taste.)

So happy the Birdie-Landia Truck has made its way to the.UWS! The food is sooooo good, we love every item on the small menu but especially the tostada, it's so fresh and tasty. The mulita is so cheesy and good took The Staff are beyond warm and professional, super nice The prices are very reasonable as well with each item being around $4-$5 Usual hours are 5 pm on !

my first birria tacos certainly set the bar high. birria meat that melts in your mouth and a flavorful consume with just the right amount of onions and cilantro. our food was out quick and the people working the truck were great too. the truck is in a good area and even though it has little seating nearby and is a little difficult to spot, the trek is absolutely worth it!

Great tacos! Ordering machine was super easy and my order took like 10 minutes. The birria taco was my least favorite. The quesadilla was cheesy and a good portion. This was my favorite. The tostada was also yummy and I enjoyed the crunch. The beef had some pieces that were too fatty. The overall flavor profile and depth was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

As someone born and raised in LA, my taco standards are very high. Unfortunately, I have not found decent tacos (or Mexican food in general) in New York. HOWEVER. BirriaLandia is really it. These birria tacos are SoCal-level delicious. They definitely have NY prices (my LA heart breaks to pay that much for a taco), but it is worth it in my opinion. The service is speedy and great (they messed up my order and when I messaged them on Instagram, they were able to find my order in their system and they gave me a refund). I definitely recommend getting some consomme on the side for dunking your taco (or just drinking) 10/10!

HOLLLYYYY MOTHER OF--. MUST TRY TACOS IN NYC. THIS IS THE BEST TOSTADA IVE EVER HAD IN NY LIFE. It's been a week and I'm still drooling over it. I can still remember that day--sitting undisturbed on the bench nearby and pulling out this goddess of a tostada. What came next...unspeakable. It might've just been me...I sat in that bench wishing someone else could experience all the sensors in my brain going off, but alas everyone nearby was none the wiser. I rode off into the sunset, leaving my birria heart on Amsterdam and 70th, knowing that this might've been the best tostada I've ever had in my life.

Food 10/10! The meat isn't dry, the tostada stays crispy! And the cheese melted on top brings the whole dish together. Perfectly seasoned and executed. Comes with pickled onions and spicy sauce. Will be coming here again. Only issue is I wish they had a telephone number for this location to make orders.

Sooo glad they've finally come to the UWS! I've been meaning to try their Birria for a long time but kept putting off making the trek out to their other locations. It's a simple menu with only 4 options and you know I had to try them all! The Birria consome was *chef's kiss* and perfect for the tacos, tostadas and mulita. I really loved the crunchiness of the tostadas and the cheesiness of the mulita (two tortillas sandwiching cheese and chopped Birria). Of course you can't go wrong with the tacos but those former two surprised me. Orders come with pickled onion and slightly spicy salsa on the side. I ordered at the window but there are two kiosks (see photos) where I saw people order at. They take credit card though note there is a 3.5% surcharge + NYC sales tax.

    One of everything!

This location is convenient to Grand Central, Bryant Park, & Times Square. I was excited to find them after a getting off the Metro North. Unfortunately, the two times that I've eaten there hasn't been great, compared to their other locations in NoHo & Union Square. I'm not sure if the more touristy ambiance & customers makes a difference. First visit got the Pork Adobada Taco ($5-ish). It's similar to Al Pastor (even served with a few pieces of pineapple) but spicy. It's pork marinated in an adobo sauce made from dried red chiles (like guajillo or ancho), vinegar, garlic, and spices. The corn tortilla was very fresh & good but the pork was SO spicy. Some kind of chili oil was drizzled on, in, within, at the bottom. It comes with a sort of green crema. I barely finished - thought it was a joke or something. The second visit I got the Adobada (requested Zero spice) & a Chicken taco. The pork meat was delicious & reminded me of the first time I had Los Tacos No. 1. The chicken seemed like dark meat & was either over-marinated, slightly undercooked, or on its way out? resulting in weird mushy, slightly liver-like consistency. I even picked through the pieces to check for pinkness...the meat was just dark with little flavor. It came with a dollop of guacamole that didn't have much flavor. The corn tortillas also seemed slightly mealy/mushy & underdone. They weren't airy & slightly puffed as usual. I'll probably go back because their location and cost is convenient. But have to make sure the pork has No Spice & not sure how to ask for "done" tortillas. There's always a line at Los Tacos but it moves fast. The condiments & radishes, limes are always fresh. The staff is always pleasant & work quickly customizing your taco, wiping down the All White! hightops & refilling napkins. Don't think there's a restroom FYI.

We had our usual list of spots in Midtown East, but this time we wanted something a little different. We ultimately landed on Mexican, however even then there were several spots to chose from. One of my colleagues found CdM, and since we had nothing to lose we decided to check it out. In terms of physical space at CdM, there is very little; this is actually a walk-up spot hence it is solely a takeout restaurant. The menu is pretty straightforward - lots of Mexican staples with a good variety to choose from. The burrito bowl looked good so I decided to go with that - I was given choice of protein (I chose pastor) and types of beans (I chose black). The bowl was really good - all the ingredients tasted fresh and they were generous with the portion. They added sour cream to the top of the bowl and it came with a side of salsa verde which I thought was a nice touch. We also ordered some bags of tortilla chips to share - these were my favorite kind as they were semi-thick and super crunchy. Overall, I had a solid experience at Cinco de Mayo. It definitely hit the Mexican craving spot and I would have no qualms returning for another meal.

The birria tacos were really good (or so my son said) but sadly the taquitos were terrible. They literally just had unseasoned shredded chicken (but serves me right for ordering something so basic). The salsa also tasted more like tomato paste than actual salsa. But again, the goal for this stop was a frozen marg(s) and that mission was accomplished and then were good . The energy was flat, and that lack of enthusiasm carried right into the food. The menu needs a complete overhaul. I'm not sure if it's trying to be "different," but the taco options were unappealing just from reading the descriptions. I managed to choose the two best-sounding items I could find, and honestly, they were so bland I don't even remember what they were. The setup and decor were basic. This spot could be a fun hangout, but it would take a better menu and staff who actually seem to care. It feels like just another restaurant that's lost sight of creating an actual experience for guests. The lack of vibe is obvious--if you don't want customers, just say so. I'm giving 2 stars out of respect for the fact that people have to work for a living.

I didn't see any but saw buckets for umbrellas. I opted not to leave it there since I didn't wanna forget or risk someone taking it. I took it upstairs with me. My friend had arrived and was seated. Apparently, they do offer sleeves because she got one. But the 3 people who were at the hostess booth failed to offer me one. The beautiful ambiance will get your attention immediately. It is a stunning space. The tableware was gorgeous as well. We waited for our last friend to arrive who was almost half an hour late before ordering (we thought she'd arrive sooner). Our server, Matias was gracious about it the whole time. What we ordered: Drinks: Passionfruit Margaritas & Mojito - we were happy with them. Tlayudas, Guacamole y Salsas - this was really good and a great option for the table to share. The homemade chips alone were excellent. Liked all the different dips. Guac could've used some cilantro and more acid/spice. Tán Ceviche - I loved this. Super fresh and great flavor. Could use a touch of acid. My entree was the Shrimp & Crab Enchiladas - This was pretty good. The sauce could've used some spice and some acid to cut through the richness. My friend ordered the Yellow Corn Soup as part of her meal and she did not like it. She said it was too sweet which I thought was strange. I tried a spoonful and I agreed with her. It needed a savory note and again, acid would've done wonders. Also, the crab was a bit fishy in this. She enjoyed her tamal though. I tried a touch of the sauce and it was delish. My other friend had the Quesabirria which she was also happy with. To sum up: Ambiance: 5/5 The space is undoubtedly gorgeous. Food: 4/5 Beautiful presentation on everything but each dish lacks an element or two to make it a home run. Staff: Wait staff 5/5. Downstairs staff (greeters/hostess) 4/5. Needs to be more on point like offering customers sleeves for umbrellas or pointing out the buckets to put them in. At some point through our entrees a group of 3 women were doing a 10-minute photo shoot by the stairway where our table was. Absolutely inappropriate behavior and a manager should've stopped it. Camera flashes all up in our faces while we're eating wasn't cool. Overall, still a great elevated Mexican cuisine option. The slight tweaks would make this a 5 star place for me. I'd return to try more things.

Personally, if it wasn't for the drinks and the space, I cant say this place is worth it - you're not coming here for the food. Another little complaint I have is the women's restroom on the second floor - right by the door is a floor to ceiling mirror which I understand was included to make the space seem bigger, but my friends and I agreed that it is a little misleading - I kept wanting to walk into it thinking there was more space there and not wall. I would recommend maybe putting a decal on it to clearly show its mirror.
