If you want a Taste of Tijuana Mexico, come to Birria los primos. I'm telling y'all you won't regret it. I got the 3 quesabirria tacos and the Birria nachos ( first time). Me being from San Diego and going to Tijuana regularly I can say this taste exactly like Tijuana. The staff was very nice and the food was steaming when it came out (fresh). Omg sooooo yummy !!! When you arrive at the establishment don't be fooled by the yummy desserts when you first walk-in . To get the the yummy food you have to walk downstairs. I had been seeing Underground Hall Downtown showing off the birria pizza and I knew I had to try it. So. My expectations were high and I've had some amazing birria in Houston and Atlanta. This place was DELISH. We were in town for a concert at the Toyota Center and before we flew out, we had time to explore for lunch. We decided to get the birria tacos and we couldn't get enough. We looked up birria tacos by our hotel and these popped up so we decided to make the walk. We walked up looking for it not knowing it was an underground food court style. You have other restaurants with different culture foods in the area which is awesome. But the birria here was so delicious the pictures were actually from the second time coming here. We have had the birria tacos, Quesabirria Tacos, Consome, and the ramen birria. Definitely if you are in the area check this place out! read more

I've had Birria Los Primos twice now and it's been INCREDIBLY tasty both times. I got the quesitacos trio and their fried plantains both times because it was so good the first time that I had to get it again. The quesitacos are stuffed w/ yummy melted cheese and birria and served with lime, onions, and cilantro as well as consome and salsa. There's 3 tacos (hence the trio) and it's honestly all I can do to finish them all! The plantains are fried and dusted with cinnamon sugar and are the perfect amount of sweet to balance out the savory meal. The plantains are served with a homemade sour cream and, while I do appreciate contrasting flavors like sweet and sour, this dipping side misses the mark for me, so I just ate the plantains by themselves. Overall REALLY good food. Whenever I go back to Underground Hall, I know which food vendor I'll be choosing! read more

So, this is an underground eatery type of situation where there are large crowds of people due to the multiple different little restaurants crammed into the same space. It was loud and crowded. To be fair, we were coming from a concert and there was a college basketball game that had just let out. It was late, I was hungry, and I wanted something fast. Oh my lord, I'd never had a birria taco before. This was so, so good. I ordered a regular birria taco and the quesibirria taco and both were thrown together quickly. They were amazing. The salsa, which I dipped the birria in thinking it was the juice, was spicy and smoky and so flavorful. I kept dipping, even though it hurt just a little. It was a good kind of hurt. When I went back to Laredo, I ordered birria tacos from a place close to home because I was craving that good stuff. It was disappointing. I cried a little on the inside. It's a long drive to make, but next time we're in Houston, I know where I'm going to eat. read more

I'll never forget this food. Out of all the places visited during my vacation, this was my favorite eats! The food was so good and favorable. We ordered the quesobirria trio after an event at the Toyota center Friday night. The food came out quickly and was hot. Unfortunately the tacos were really wet and greasy, and came on two tortillas because of this. My previous experience with birria tacos is they are crispy, dipped in the au jus, then griddled with the meat and cheese to melt them then flipped over sort of like a quesadilla but crispier. This is what I was expecting and hoping for rather than the open faced almost soggy taco I received. I've had better from a food truck. The birria meat itself was pretty bland and most of the flavor came from the side of hot sauce as the au jus was also basically flavorless. There was no crunch from the taco or onion/cilantro either. Overall pretty sad and I have made better at home and they didn't cost me $5/taco to make either. Suggest trying a different food stall if you're here. read more

It was my first time. Turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Beef burrito was unique as the meat was more on the side of pulled/shredded compared to the chunky or ground like other burrito places. Not too familiar with the Birria taco scene, but these were unique and delicious and unlike what I've tasted before. The price was reasonable given the area, and everything tasted really good, despite looking really simple. I was satisfied and the service was quick. Definitely not a big meal, and not that much of a taco enthusiast, but this was great for what I was told a Birria taco should taste like.
