Small joint with limited seating literally like 3 tables however the tacos are legit. Here for the birria and it didn't disappoint. Prices are reasonable about $2.50 plus tax per taco. Refreshing homemade bottled drinks are around $6. Take home consome birria broth is about $5. The sauces that they have are quite spicy so Tread lightly. I love spicy but it was a bit much for me. Nonetheless, I was excited to be able to stumble upon this gem. They close early at 3pm everyday so take note.

This place sells birria de chivo. The birria here is so delicious that I came once and ive been coming back over and over again. The birria de chivo from this location is unlike any other place that sells birria de chivo. This place also sells burritos, quesadillas and tacos. I tried a little of everything from this location and was happy with my purchases. Pros -Good Food -Lots Of Parking -Birria De Chivo Cons -Its Far From Where I Live

    Birria en consomé. Riquisima!

Wow! What can I say? I know how to make birria and this place is so great! It's a very small place but the flavor is so yummy. Hand made tortillas and you can either have dry birria with consomé on the side or birria con consomé. The service is great; the owners are very nice and they go out of their way to please you. If you happen to be in the neighborhood swing by and you will not regret it and if you live far it's worth it to make the trip. Thank you for your service.

So let me start of by saying that this place is a hidden gem in the city of Maywood. I came across this place through a friend so I decided to check it out. I'm not very fond of goat meat birria because in some places they leave you with the after taste but O M G this place is BOMB! tried a couple of items on the menu. Started with the "Birria con Caldo" plate and I have to say the small size is good enough for two people but you'll want your own lol. The meat is really tender and the juice has the perfect taste. It comes with hand made tortillas on the side. They're the taco size which I feel are the perfect size. They"re really good and freshly made. Then we tried the "Tacos de Birria" which are also delicious and the tortillas for the tacos are also handmade. They give you consomé on the side which you can pour over your tacos and you SHOULD because it makes them even better. Whatever you don't finish you can prep it with onion, cilantro, and lime and drink the rest. Sounds weird but if you're Mexican you'll know what I'm talking about. If you're not just trust me and try it lol. Then we also tried their "Quesadilla de Birria" added consomé to that as well and oh lord amazing. To end it we had a "Quesitaco de Birria" which is just like a regular taco but with cheese, which was also really good I added consomé to this as well and it was even better. I have to say everything is good. They have different meats such as Asada, cachete, and cabeza but they were all sold out. Overall this place was really good. It's really tiny but really good. It's family owned and you can tell the owners care about their business. Very humble and sweet people and really make the customer feel appreciate it! I would pay them a visit. Definitely coming back here! P.S. they take cash, debit, and applepay :)

My dad ordered the Ceviche Nayarit, I ordered the Enchiladas La Casita Mexicana and my wife ordered the Enchiladas Tres Moles. The ceviche tasted fresh, but not really my favorite dish were had. I would say the Enchiladas Tres Moles was my favorite dish we picked. My only problem with that dish was that I wanted more. The plate they served it on made the 3 Enchiladas look small. Customer service was great. Food was great. The interior/exterior was really nice. If you have dogs the patio section in the back is where you'll want to eat from. Great experience. I'd come here again.

I forgot exactly what I had, I want to say it was bistec ranchero or something like that. it was good, nothing bad, but also felt average. They served us chips with mole on top and I was like, why did they pour mole all over, bring a little bucket of mole and let me dip it on the side. That's what a good Christian would do, but no, they went with an anti-Christian practice here, communist almost. don't assume I want everything with mole. I would have been ok with it if the mole had been bomb ass good, but it was ok. I had heard this place used original Oaxacan mole or something so I was hyped. My wife had some eggs with whatever the heck a Filipino woman orders at a Mexican place and she's was fine. I feel bad about this review, maybe this place is a victim of its former reputation, and I was expecting very good Mexican food and all I got was OK Mexican food. Also, for a true Mexican spot, you need to have café Mexicano, with canelita and the waiter told me they didn't have any. How can this be? I do not approve. Maybe if you are white or non-Mexican or a fake Mexican, I think you would have a different opinion of this place, you might think is great, just like El Torito is. Am I confusing this place with some other restaurant because the place I heard of was in Bell and the cooks/chefs were this renowned chefs and I don't think that's the case here or now. For sure, this place is not bad and I don't think you will get bad food, it was just underwhelming.

For us, that's El Ranchito in Huntington Park. It's a family-owned, authentic Mexican restaurant that has had the community on its back for the last 6 decades. They hand-make the tortillas right in front of you, serve up fresh chunky guac, and make their iconic Mama Avila's soup fresh daily. It's rare that a soup has me hitting a stank face, but here we are. The Camarones al mojo de ajo is a can't miss appetizer. It's succulent shrimp sauteed in butter and fresh garlic, made to be eaten with the piping hot homemade tortillas. They have all the traditional Mexican dishes, my brothers go to is the chile relleno, but I always just run the fajitas. I'm sure I'll get clowned for this, but nothing heals my trauma and existential dread like a plate of sizzling fajitas. My pops has worked in the area for longer than I've been alive, so El Ranchito has seen every iteration of me, and of my family. For that, I am grateful. The meatballs are tender and have a perfect flavor profile of herbs and spice. Honestly, nothing disappoints here. The Pollo in Mole is also delicious. The tortillas are fresh and hand made. The Pollo con Rajas is creamy, cheesy, flavorful and the chicken has always been juicy underneath all that sauce, cooked perfectly.
