Staying at Peppermill and decided to try this place for dinner, but unfortunately had a really disappointing experience. The girl taking our order was extremely rude and made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. I explained that my daughter and I have a gluten allergy and asked if they had a gluten-free menu or if she could tell us what could be made gluten free. She said everything was marked, but after already reviewing the menu, I let her know nothing was clearly labeled. She then responded that she didn't think anything was gluten-free then. I asked to speak with a manager, she went to get her, but instead she came back and, very rudely, told us the manager said our only option was a burger without a bun or pasta. The manager never came out to speak with us directly. Since she couldn't answer basic questions about cross-contamination or shared fryers, we didn't feel safe eating there and decided to leave. read more

Happened to pop in here on superbowl Sunday and that turned out to be a fun choice. The casino itself was packed with people representing many team favorites. Lots of Super Bowl vibe! Decided to try the calamari and a chop salad. Great choice although I noticed a lack of volume of certain salad toppings to include blue cheese, avocado and tomatoes. Small/teeny diced tomatoes and avocados spread out to give an impression of more but was a miss for me. I asked for an extra large side of blue cheese which our waitress was more than happy to facilitate. When it came, it was a perfect serving for this salad size. Made a big difference. Thank you! The calamari was absolutely delicious. I don't often order calamari but it was a great choice and treat! My lunch mate ordered the Bahn Mi and it was pretty amazing. The bread, although not truly traditional bahn mi bread was a great alternative. Had a nice crunch and not too densely bready, if that makes sense? The pickled veg was copious and delish! The beef was smoky and perfect! The fun thing about dining in a casino restaurant is that no matter what time it is, it's always cocktail time! I ordered a nice Hendricks gin martini and did not regret! Note to self: if possible, avoid being seated in the corner adjacent to kitchen. The wafting of seafood was a bit overwhelming to me. The only restaurant located on the 2nd floor, near the Ballroom and Tuscany Towers inside the Peppermill. Opens early for breakfast (6 am) and closes around 10pm. The menu has very wide range of cuisine choices, which allows you to choose easily whatever you are craving. Even though they were very busy, service was attentive and on point. Only ate dinner there during our stay but the Prime Rib Dip was the reason we kept coming back. Thinly sliced meat and the Au Jus sauce is mouth watering and leave you wanting to come back again. Was very accommodating and double checked with chef about having GF limitations and was able to give me confidence that it was safe to dine with them. Ended up ordering the Jalapeño Lime Chicken Tacos (GF). Don't expect top quality, but expect it to be easily edible and filling. read more

The steaks served here are generally of high quality, though you may not have a consistent cooking temperature as there were times I asked for a medium steak and was served medium rare. Salads and soups were always good and the service was polite and friendly, always keeping on top of filling your water glass or bringing you extra dressing. The atmosphere is beautiful and very contemporary, reminiscient of Cheesecake Factory in its decor and some of the menu items served. Biscotti is a nice restaurant. Lots of space and pretty decor. It's such a great location and has a nice bar. We ate dinner in the bar and the service was great. We shared the sea bass. The risotto and veggies were delicious and the fish was pretty good too.... It was a little fishy, smelling, and tasting compared to others I have had. This review is about the Gelato, that can be ordered just outside the restaurant. We were touring the hotel and made our way to Biscotti's. Time for a break, I ordered a small Chocolate Gelato O-M-G. This was amazing. Seriously, one of the best gelato's I have ever had. Anywhere (in the world). The taste had a rich chocolatey taste but not too bitter and not too sweet. The texture was a touch airy but with a creamy finish. The temperature was absolute perfection. The gelato was cold but not so cold you needed a sledge hammer to eat it. I'm currently staying at the Peppermill Resort and stopped by for a bite at Biscotti's twice: My first experience was lackluster -- I had the Asian Lettuce Wraps (without the chicken) and their Impossible Burger. The wraps were flavorful but the mushroom to water chestnut and rice noodle ratio was off...way too many mushrooms and/or they were sliced much too large. The burger was a total disappointment -- the patty was burnt, the bun seemed old, the pickles didn't have any flavor at all, and the lack of condiments was disheartening. My second experience was better, thankfully -- I had the Caprese Sandwich, which was quite tasty as well as a Mocha, which was very good as well. read more

Tried out this spot in the Peppermill Hotel since I was staying here for a work conference. I tempered my expectations since some in hotel dining can be a bit hit or miss but I really enjoyed my time dining here! Their menu has a lot of variety but I settled on the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken which was about $35. It was a bit pricey but once I got the dish I was impressed with the quality and portion. The noodles were good, the sauce was rich and flavorful, and they gave a lot of chicken, which was very well done as well. The restaurant was nicely decorated although a bit more classic and old school rather than modern. Service was good but we had some trouble splitting our check as they put a limit on our party, we were a big table that needed individual checks for reimbursement reasons as we were there for work. Felt like there was a bit of conflict due to that and some passive aggressiveness making us calculate the tax for each dish, but other than that service was okay. Overall, a pretty good option if you're staying at the hotel. Impressive and quality food although you're paying a bit of a premium. read more

First time in the resort. I decided to come with my family at this breakfast place and it all started great. The servers assistant /Busser came with waters and took our drink order, we got our drinks right away and then the servers assistant PAulina came to take our order. It was a party of 13. I ordered steak and eggs , told her to make sure the cooks cook the steak medium rare (because I know how steak sometimes ican come out over cook), she said ok, food came 40 minutes later , my steak was well done, she took it back. We requested coffee . She brought cold coffee , never got refills after that, she never came back, I wasted to order another mismosa and a michelada but it never happened., she never seemed like she actually care about us not getting what we needed. I'm aware she can be busy but at least once she should off a check on us to see if we needed anything else after we got out food. Been here before, we came back because I wanted to repeat the beef short rib stroganoff. However this time it was very disappointing. Not only the sauce was very watered down, lacking in flavor, but to my surprise they only served us with 1 piece of bread each. I asked the server if we could have more bread and butter and he said it would be additional $4 dollars. I was seated right away and greeted quickly by my server, Jamie L. She took my drink order for iced tea, and I ordered when she returned. I ordered the chopped salad (hold the bacon) with Ranch and a side of ciabatta rolls (Rosemary-parmesan-garlic). The food arrived very quickly. The rolls were steamy hot, very soft, and freshly herbed, while the salad was fresh and in a chilled bowl--the way it should be! The chopped salad featured a plank of Parmesan Tuile--grated and baked parmesan cheese. Everything was tasty, and Jamie was attentive enough to check in and ensure the iced tea was filled. We ordered the Chicken Biscotti Melt w/watermelon salad, Chicken Piccata and Ribeye. The melt was delicious! Chicken was cooked perfectly, it had a good layer of avocado and the aoili complimented the sandwich beautifully. The sourdough was crunchy and had great flavor. I was really excited about the watermelon salad, but it was so underwhelming. The watermelon wasn't ripe at all, the jicama was super dry and there was little to no strawberry. The piccata was just alright and had a hint of lemon. The bottom of the bowl had a pool of butter/oil and was a bit off putting. We barely put a dent in the pasta and wouldn't reorder it especially for the price. The ribeye was cooked to order and covered in sauce, but was a little tough and almost dry. It wasn't well seasoned and had a strong "meat" flavor. However, the veges were cooked perfectly and the potatoes were great. Soft in the inside and crispy on the outside. Pricing is pretty high with entrées starting at $20+ for basic items and the service was somewhat lacking. The sandwich melt was $22, the Piccata was $35 and the Ribeye was $46 not including tip/tax. If anything, the restaurants at the Peppermill are underrated--far superior to anything you'll find at any other casino in town. The prime rib dip is a perfect example. I was totally shocked at the substantial portions at this restaurant. I originally went there for breakfast with a friend about 4-5 years ago. 95% of the time, I generally consume my entire meal. On that visit, I was only able to consume 2/3 of the meal. Two days ago, I returned to the restaurant for dinner with two other friends. All three of us had beef entrées. Two of us had prime rib, and the portions were fairly large. What a fantastic meal!!! The third entrée was a ribeye steak which was fairly large and was totally consumed. Our waiter was informative regarding menu items, and we also asked him what his preference would be between two different dishes. He appeared to be right on target with his opinion, and returned to check up on us at least twice. The restaurant noise level was slightly elevated, but we didn't have any problems communicating during dinner. This restaurant is located inside of the Peppermill casino.
