I wanted to grab something quick before I went to work, but I am kind of unfamiliar with good breakfast near my place of work. I looked under Google Maps and Biscuit Belly came up; one of many places on my to go list. It's a beautiful establishment and once I entered, I was greeted and the young lady was amazingly sweet, very courteous. There was others there, but it was very quiet and spacious, so I assumed I missed the rush. I didn't want anything heavy, so I ordered the Basic Biscuit with bacon, scrambled egg, and cheese with jelly. The biscuit was huge, soft, and flaky. It was a reasonable price for what receive. I would highly recommend and I will be returning after looking at the menu!

Really enjoyed our experience here! It's a great spot with friendly service and the food came out super quick. Parking was also easier than expected since they validate it. You just scan the QR code, give them your phone number and you're good to go. The food was g great and the portion sizes were huge. We left full and happy. I ordered the pistachio latte along with the Belly Buster, which was loaded with four different breakfast meats, cheddar cheese, gravy, and an over easy egg. Definitely lived up to the name. We also tried the Brekkie Bowl which came with cheesy grits, spinach, mushrooms, caramelized onions, roasted tomatoes, goat cheese, and poblano-tomato sauce, and it was packed with flavor. Everything tasted fresh. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would come back again.

Still delectable. Huge Thick fluffy Biscuits, seasoned chicken and glorious toppings. Im a tradionalist. Order the Rockwell and loaded tots. They were delicious.

Wow was this place busy and for good reason. Service was fast and turning tables quickly. Menu has many options from biscuits, pancakes, to bowls. Biscuit Bennie was good but a different take on Benedict. Mama's boy was huge and tasty. The chicken although large was more of a supporting cast as the pimento cheese and pickles, oh those pickles were so tasty. The fried green tomato was super good and flavorful. Loaded tots weren't what I expected but were delightfully good. Definitely will return to try more options.

This place was so good!! I highly recommend getting the bonuts - it's like a biscuit donut hybrid and comes with a bourbon cream cheese frosting and a jam. It's a very cute little place- you come in and order at the counter and then can find a seat. Good coffee options too

2nd time coming here and this time it was definitely better than the first time. I got a bacon egg & cheese on a biscuit with a side of home fries. It was good! I deducted a star because the vanilla iced latte I received was so bad. And it was super light, barely tasted any of the espresso and felt super grainy (I got oat milk). The ambiance is really nice & I love the decor of the space.

I am very glad I tried this place when they first opened, it is now in my rotation of favorite breafast/ brunch spots. I absolutely love Biscuit Belly!! From the food, to the service, to the cleanliness, Biscuits Belly exceeds all expections. I have been here several times and have tried several things, and have yet to find anything that isn't delicious. Including the drinks (love the tractor craft sodas)! A few favorites of mine: the Gravy train, The T-bird, and the cheese grits. On top of the food, the service here is awesome. The entire staff is friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful. No matter if it's someone from the front of the house or back of the house, no matter if they're your waiter or not. Everyone treats you with the same kindness. I've even been to the Fort Mill, SC location and its the same. You rock Biscuit Belly!

Biscuit belly was so good and a brunch spot must if you're in Charlotte! The restaurant is super casual where you go up and order and they bring it to you at the table. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating so that was a huge plus too! I had their honey, Brie, and fruits open faced biscuit and it was amazing!! Their biscuit donut holes were also a great starter. I wish we had one in Atlanta that I could go too lol

Let me start by saying that the food is affordable for the most part. The portion sizes are not that big but they will get you full unless you're a big back. I ordered the rockwell and two scrambled eggs and a bowl of grits. Everything was delicious and came out fast. Staff was very nice and friendly. Biscuits were ok...nothing special but I would definitely recommend this place.

I came here with my husband a few weeks ago as a quick brunch spot before a massage. For starters, parking in the parking lot is tight as the parking lot is shared with all of the businesses in that area. However, there is a parking garage across the street, but the restaurant doesn't validate parking. The restaurant is good about warning where not to park to avoid tows. I'll admit I chose this restaurant blindly and this experience was a little different from our standard dining experience, we were greeted at the door by a host and handed a menu to review while being led to the front of the restaurant where we ordered at the counter. We were provided a number stand and prompted to seat ourselves. We made our drinks at the fountain and sat down. There were plenty of seating and the tables were clean. All of your silverware, napkins, and extras are already on the table before you sit. I ordered the brekky bowl plus brisket and my husband ordered a take on a chicken and waffles except the waffle is replaced by a biscuit. Both entrees were delicious and filling! We were stuffed after eating. I also ordered an iced mocha coffee (non decaf - a mistake for me) but it was good. I would say a little on the sweeter side. Staff came around to remove any trash/plates from the table during our visit as well. All in all, we were in and out under 40 mins. Enjoyable experience and I plan to come back!

The flow is very much like Vicious Biscuit at Arboretum. Walk in straight to order then grab a table for food to be brought to you. Best to have your full party with you when ordering. No reservations taken. The menu starts off with a variety of sweet and savory starters like the biscuit donut holes with cream cheese frosting dip or the pancake corn dogs. The main entrees offer a variety of biscuit sandwich creations. Something to satisfy every taste bud from spicy to sweet. There are also some standard breakfast staples to choose from. Decent amount of seating, bright and airy eatery with a fabulous and friendly staff. Food was okay, nothing really wowed me on this visit. Food Order: Bonuts, Pancake Corn Dogs, Fire in Your Belly, The Rockwell, Chicken and Ditch the Waffle, The Rockwell Supreme, Loaded Breakfast Tots, and Home fries. Caramel Latte and Tequila Sunrise for specialty drinks.

Please bring this restaurant to Greensboro or Winston! Before heading back to the triad, we stopped by this place for breakfast and let me tell you, 10/10! They have a great menu with a lot of options, but not too many that you get overwhelmed. The place is very clean and the staff is very friendly! The biscuits are huge! But baked to perfection! Very fluffy and buttery! The fried green tomatoes, you can never go wrong with. I know they have a location in Raleigh but this needs to be in Winston or Greensboro! (Preferably Winston) I would recommend this place and will visit again!

Let's start with the good: the vibe at Biscuit Belly is so cute and welcoming, and the staff were super friendly. The service was fast. like, too fast. My food and latte hit the table suspiciously quick, which made it pretty clear it was pre-prepped on an assembly line. That's not a dealbreaker, but the result? Lukewarm everything. I ordered the Biscuit Bennie which was their take on an Eggs Benedict with brisket and BBQ sauce. One egg was overcooked, brisket had a lot of fatty parts, and that sauce? So sweet I thought it was dessert. I tried to politely tell the sweet staff member who checked on us, and while she was very kind, I kinda wish she offered to fix it instead of just smiling through my food heartbreak. Meanwhile, my friend had a biscuit sandwich with cheese grits and jam and I should've followed her lead. It was fire. Total food envy. So would I go back? Yeah, but only because my friend's plate was bomb. As for the Biscuit Bennie? You couldn't pay me to order that again.

It's one…read moreof those comfort foods I don't eat often because it's so rich--but when I see it on a menu, it absolutely catches my attention. That's exactly what drew me to The Southern Pecan in SouthPark. Here in the South, they call it country fried steak, and I'm happy to report this one did not disappoint. I met a colleague there for lunch, and everything about the experience felt easy from the start. The restaurant is located in Phillips Place, a lovely little shopping area that feels a bit polished and upscale--with shops like Orvis, Tory Burch, and even a Restoration Hardware restaurant nearby. They do offer valet parking, which is a nice touch, though honestly parking is easy enough on your own. We had reservations through OpenTable and were seated on the patio, which was absolutely delightful for this time of year in Charlotte. The weather was perfect, the setting was relaxed, and the service started off warm and welcoming right away. Now, the food. The country fried steak was beautifully cooked--crispy on the outside, tender inside, and served with creamy mashed potatoes and gravy that hit all the nostalgic notes from my Texas upbringing. I paired it with a vegetable side (I believe it was broccoli or corn), and it was a classic Southern plate done right. We also enjoyed a couple of cocktails, and to finish, we split a praline bread pudding, which felt like the perfect Southern ending to the meal--sweet, comforting, and indulgent without being overwhelming. The staff was friendly and attentive, and one of the things I continue to appreciate about Charlotte is how easy it is to connect with people. We even chatted with diners at nearby tables, which added to that welcoming, community feel that makes dining out here so enjoyable--especially for someone coming from the Bay Area. Prices felt fair for the quality, the setting, and the portion sizes, and overall the experience left a great impression. Bottom line: If you're craving a solid Southern classic like country fried steak--or just want a relaxed patio lunch in a charming part of SouthPark--The Southern Pecan is definitely worth a visit. And as someone happily eating my way through Charlotte and the Southeast, this stop was another reminder that the journey has been a delicious one.

It was already quite busy when we arrived and it's not clear where your parking options are. People are pulling up to the entrance and dropping people off so it gets jammed up and chaotic, of course people are running late so those BIG Yukons and Suburbans are making it a challenge to navigate a small entrance area. You would THINK they would at least have a Valet option of Sat/Sun during Brunch. To park, go BEHIND the restaurant on the street to the left and you'll see some free parking options that are close and walkable. We asked for a table on the patio and were immediately seated. The bar was already buzzing with solo diners enjoying their Mimosas. The patio is NOT that big, a little over crowded and table are very close with not much space in between. There was a LARGE group of 'FUN' ladies right beside us enjoying their MIMOSAS, dropping the 'F' bomb from time to time and making a LOT of noise. What can you do? Nothing but try to make the best of it and just start talking LOUDER like everyone else. The OVERHEAD heaters were way too intense so the Staff was very responsive at our request to turn down the heat. We shared the BBQ Shrimp Starter which was SO good, I highly recommend. I had the Gumbo and Michelle had the beet and goat cheese salad. We both had the Red Fish which comes with smashed potatoes and broccoli. The potatoes were so BLAND, the broccoli had NO seasoning. The Red Fish wasn't that great of a flavor and not very tender, not easy to cut, had to use my knife at times to get a bite. Kinda disappointed, I lived in N Orleans for a couple of years and it was always so good there. The biggest disappointment was the Gumbo. It had all the right ingredients but the ROUX was to strong, dark and heavy. It actually gave me indigestion afterwards. The service was OUTSTANDING. Our Server was Daylean, she was so nice and helpful with the menu and kept our refills coming.

They recently received a Michelin recommendation and it's totally deserved. It's a buffet, but most of the hot food is actually served by a person which is something that I particularly appreciate. Pretty much the entire line up of options. Not a condescending or impatient tone - warm and welcoming. Same with the next person. Even convinced my friend to get a dessert. Not that I need my arm twisted. The dining area was well kept. Clean. The condiments were well stocked and organized. I saw two different team members taking care of business there even asking if I needed anything. Bathrooms were immaculate. Don't see that very often - at least I don't in public places. The food was what we were looking for. Comfort food. With taste, not muted - just good flavor and consistency. A far cry from the bland, dry foods we had experienced the days prior. HIDDEN GEM ALERT!…read more And that's not an exaggeration: this is a pop-up inside the Forest Hill Church kitchen! Don't let the random location fool you; HA Pigsmith's is busting out some mean eats, with hefty portions and affordable prices. How it works: Follow @so_science on Instagram, and they'll post the week's menu over the weekend. The themes vary every week, so keep an eye on it! You have until midnight on Tuesday to email them with your order. On Wednesday morning, you get an email with payment and pick-up details, and then you swing by the back of the church between 4 and 7 PM on Wednesday to pick up your goods! Pretty easy process, especially if you live close by. So far we've gotten dishes from their BBQ menu (brisket, bbq beans, cheese and mac) and their Greek menu (moussaka with side Greek salad, gyro with fries). Everything is restaurant quality. Let me rephrase: everything is excellent restaurant quality! Like what I would expect if I went to a BBQ joint or Greek spot that specialize in that type of cuisine. Pretty incredible. We originally found out about HA's from a neighbor, and I added this business page to Yelp to be able to share my photos and experiences to help spread the word about this awesome local spot!

It's beautifully decorated (I fell in love with the bathroom decor) and the bar area is lovely and we stocked. Our server Natasha O was exceptional. She explained items on the menu and even made a drink recommendation that was not listed. For appetizers we had the fig salad and the large portion was more than enough for 3 people with leftovers. We shared the charred oysters and I really with we had gotten a dozen because they were perfection! I had the Wagyu burger which was 1/2 pound and I brought half of it home. It was complimented with truffle shoestring fries. Great portion sizes, amazing service and beautiful decor. I will surely come back. Hope I get sat in Natasha's section again she was amazing! Parking as always is tight in that area so plan accordingly.
