We have eaten here twice now (takeout). The service is friendly, the orders correct and packed well. We really like the flavor of the apple chicken and the brisket. I'm not a fan of pork belly burnt ends, I prefer the end trimmed off larger cuts of smoked meats. This version is cubed chunks of pork belly. The ribs were very tender. As the menu says, the fries are just good. Very good, we love them and whatever they are breaded in. Biscuits were ok a little more firm around the edges than most buttermilk biscuits I've had. Apple bacon jam has a nice set apple flavor. I think when summer rolls around and we can sit on the back patio it will be a place we will consider as a regular spot. Nice decor, laid back, and as I said the people have been nothing but friendly both visits. For me personally that goes avery long way. read more

I loved Biscuits and Bourbon and went frequently when they first opened. My last visit in 2022 is why I'll never go back. Service was TERRIBLE, told we'd get a pitcher of water, never came. Drink my husband ordered came after dinner came out. The BBQ pork was nothing but red pepper flakes and the biscuits were hockey pucks. Waited a good 15 minutes for water , another 15 to take out order, a good 35-45 minutes for terrible food to come out. To end the night, they tried to give me someone else's bill..... I'm so sad about this review... I'd been here a couple times and thoroughly enjoyed it. This trip was solidified as the worst experience I've had in a restaurant in many years. The food: Pork belly decent-good. Not amazing, but nothing I'd complain about. Eggs: Properly cooked over easy/med, they were good. Bacon: Tasted like it was cooked and reheated multiple times in old oil. It was waaayyy beyond crispy, picture chewing on Lego's crunchy. Tasted like rancid burnt grease. Potato's: Terrible, like how do you mess up potato's? Dry, oil soaked, and left sitting in the same rancid grease the bacon came from? Glass of water: Never could've imagined I'd complain about a glass of water. It had a ring of white crust around the rim that turned to goo of you wipe it. Also had a pungent odor. My friends had a similar goo line and came with a straw in the glass that appeared to have already been chewed on. Mine didn't have a straw. Ketchup and hot sauce bottles: Gross and grimy. They left my hand sticky and gross. Our first server was a kind young girl with a great personality. She gets 10 stars. Unfortunately, she went on break and we got a new server. The guy who ended up helping us was behaving erratic and seemed to have an apparent substance abuse problem. He delivered our food to the wrong table, left it and walked away. He subsequently returned, they told him the mistake and he brought it directly to us. It was concerning, but I watched the food and they didn't touch it. Figured if I said anything, what I got afterwards would be worse. Once we started eating, the food was mostly disgusting. I waited to see what my friend had to say and he mentioned the same. I tried to drown it with some ketchup and hot sauce and that's when my hand stuck to the nasty dirty bottles. I started looking closer and saw the gross ring on our cups. Boulder highways finest server walked by and I asked if he was the manager. He said "no, we don't have one". I asked who was in charge and he said "the owner, but he's never here". So I inquired who was in charge of food or food safety and he said the owner when he's here and confirmed nobody was "in charge". I explained the issues to him, he looked at the glass and said "gross". Said he was going to check something and get us new cups. Never came back. After 20 minutes the original server brought our check, which I paid so we could go. I saw the man again so asked him what happened and he went on a tweeker rant, basically yelling at me, saying I'm expecting too much and he's too busy. So basically be careful, based on what he had to say, and my observations. food safety is not a priority and they have major hygiene issues. read more

OMG, love this place. Kim welcomed us and seated us. Drinks were amazing, try the Smashed Strawberry Tequila. Next, the biscuits are the bonb, with Orange Blossom honey and Blueberry Pecan jam. The pork rinds with salt and vinegar are the best appetizer, a happy hour fave. Hats off to the Chef for the tender, slow cooked pulled pork and brisket. Josh whipped up an amazing Old Fashioned, Pomegranate Gin Fizz and Strawberry Tequila Smash. You will love this restaurant, Happy Hour, and bar. read more

Brand new place downtown Henderson. The location is great in its up and coming area. (Ample parking) Bringing this Henderson area back to life w new restaurants and businesses moving in. The staff are great, talkative, warm welcoming and soulful. The food is delicious. My fav was the street corn, so yummy. The biscuits are warm and fluffy. The options of jams and honeys, is the succulent to the biscuits. Loved our drinks. Taste of different bourbons The music in the background had me feeling a great vibe. Midweek date night was so great at Biscuits and Bourbon. It was our first time here and we loved it! The atmosphere is very comfortable, just the right music volume and playlist. The staff was friendly and were all smiles. During the week before 6pm they also have 1/2 priced small plates. We enjoyed everything we ordered, perfectly cooked the meat melted it was so tender and delicious. Our salad had just the right amount of dressing and our biscuit was fresh and warm. Biscuits were OK. Iced tea was good. Went with a friend from out of town. We were there Friday, about noon. Not many customers. Hostess/waitress was on her phone when we got there. When she was done she seated us. My friend got a Diet Coke, which was flat. She had to chase down the waitress to change her drink. We were there about 2 hours. Not once did the waitress come to check on us. When she brought our biscuits we had to ask for plates and the other butter we requested. She also told us our biscuits were fresh from the oven, because they had run out. When we asked for things, we got served a side of attitude. Finally tried this place out and I'm really glad I did! It's on the smaller side so you may need to wait for a seat but luckily the biscuits and drinks we ordered came out pretty fast. The blueberry pecan jam- omg I would bathe in it! I do wish they served these fresh warm biscuits with SOFT butter but still they were perfection! Grilled cheese was so good and crispy! Fries were also crispy and not a single soggy in the bunch! My only complaint is that the table next to us was a big loud party and it was a little difficult to have a conversation even with the person right across from you. read more

We came here last night without a reservation. They sat us quickly outside on the patio, due to a large party that was coming in. Happy to get a seat! I had their bourbon mule, it was great. We ordered two biscuits with honey habanero jelly. Super tasty! I wanted dinner to be better. I ordered 1 meat with two sides ( brisket, Mac and cheese and the slaw.) Everything was really bland. Lack of salt for-sure. It was all just so so...The Mac and cheese was really soupy and just didn't taste like anything. The bbq sauce was good. Be forewarned, do not go to this venue on holidays. They are woefully under-prepared. We went for Father's Day as our first ever experience to Biscuits and Bourbon. It was a terrible experience to be honest. Who doesn't plan for Father's Day, really? We were a Table of 5 and we'd been planning for weeks for our first experience at Biscuits and Bourbon. We called 2 weeks in advance and spoke to a manager about reservations/arriving early due to the holiday, which we did. And yet we arrive at 5pm, super early for dinner crowd, and the place was quite literally out of everything. In fairness they did disclose about 5 items that were out before we choose to be seated (Fried Chicken, Ribs, Tri Tip, Brisket, and Baked Potato). We reluctantly decided to do so as we hyped this to the father's in our group, and we didn't want to try to find someone new last minute. However, by the time the waitress came, they were also out of Biscuits, corn, brined chicken, gravy, poutine, and a dozen other logical items that used these core ingredients or those they initially announced they were out of. It serious left almost nothing desirable on the menu. We also forced ourselves to order everything for our meal (app, salad, entrees, and dessert) all immediately for fear of everything else on the menu would run out! It wound up being a terrible, rushed experience and we were out in 30 minutes. Oh, and they overcharged us for items we did not order -- and they have a few sneaky upcharges on their Happy Hour menu that actually aren't half off, so beware! Overall, it was just a really poor experience for first-time, influential, Henderson-side prominent locals who would like to help build up the culinary scene on this side of town. But experiences like this certainly do not encourage us to come back to Downtown Henderson nor Biscuits and Bourbon which is a shame. read more

Okay this place is yummy , leave the goldfish Mac and cheese, it's edible, but if you like legit Mac you may be disappointed, it lacked some seasoning but was cheesy. Street corn had good flavor , I enjoyed the tender and juicy pulled pork most but the brisket which was slightly bland and I needed a knife to eat but still tasty. I enjoyed the pork more with their bourbon brown sugar bbq sauce which isn't great on its own so make sure to dip the meats in the sauce to discover their true flavor. We also tried the golden nuggets loaded with cheese , green onion and tomato , i found myself needing a ranch or sour cream to cut thru the richness of the cheese sauce but they didn't have either. the biscuit flight was also good, you can try all butters and jams for no additional cost. I loved the smoked Gouda and corn biscuit with roasted garlic butter, finally the berry cobbler was light and flavorful. It's not a true cobbler but the classic biscuit with berries and house made whipped cream did not disappoint, we will return! read more

I've been anxiously awaiting to try this place after hearing amazing things! We went once and the wait was over 45 min. At that time, we just didn't feel like waiting but told ourselves we'd be back. I don't know why. Mediocre food, mediocre service, and things that should be common sense just not even there. We ordered biscuits and gravy, chicken and waffles, a regular waffle and a short stack that was loaded. The short stack was missing it's topping, which was easily corrected, but the waffle was over cooked and crunchy. There was no butter, no syrup, and when the butter came out it was cold. By the time we got it, the waffles were lukewarm. High prices for incorrect and mediocre food is just not the business. What made this 2 stars was the bartender who noticed my empty mimosa glass and filled me back up! PS - if you're coming to watch sports, theres no TV at the bar. To start this review off, the platter of warm biscuits and apple bacon jam were good and enjoyable. We came right when they opened and we were the second customers to be seated. It wasn't busy, there were 3 other tables there which was why it was difficult ti understand why our orders took a while, missing / wrong components, and a bland, Biscuits & Gravy - Eggs and potatoes were okay, but the biscuit and gravy were cold! The gravy was SO BLAND, it tasted like chunky heavy cream. My sister had ordered it before and said it was delicious - when she tried the order we received, it was completely off from the biscuits & gravy she had before. We compared it, and even the toppings (seasoning & green onions were missing) Tri Tip Eggs Benedict - First, the menu says this item is a biscuit eggs benedict topped with SEARED tomato, Smoked Tri-Tip, and CHIMICHURRI. Instead what I received was a messy plate with missing sauce. They put a fried green tomato instead of a seared one which wasn't a big deal (looks like they confused it with the other eggs benny menu item). Tri-tip was a little chewy but tasty. Chimichurri sauce was missing. Their hollandaise was chunky but it was okay. I let the server know, she offered to replace the biscuits and gravy, but after how long it took to initially just get it my boyfriend just ate the eggs and potatoes. For the eggs benny, the server didn't seem to be the most knowledgeable about what the menu item was- so my explaining what was missing and wrong wasn't being understood. Overall, aside from the apple bacon jam & biscuit platter, the meal was very disappointing. This is such a great spot. The food was delicious and the service was even better. Josh greeted and took care of us from beginning to end. We arrived at the tail end of happy hour, where they have their huge selection of small bites half off and an array of drink specials. The watermelon salad is a must try. Very fresh and great with the barbeque. We had the pulled pork and brisket. Both were well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The fried green tomatoes were also really good. Josh was an amazing server. He made sure we had everything we needed, which was especially appreciated because we brought along our 14 month old son (he also loved the brisket). First visit, we're told wait time is 15 minutes. Took 40 mins to be seated, but food came quick. Pork belly, brisket, pickled onions, and Mac n cheese was superb but the sausage was undercooked. Left happy and wanted to come back. 2nd visit, was told wait time is 10 minutes. Turned to 35 minute wait. We were seated, we're told the ticket time for food is taking more than 30 minutes. We were baffled why we're not told upfront before we got seated. She comes back and tells us that the first ticket has been waiting for an hour. You're a bbq restaurant. You cook the food hours in advance. It's confusing how they've been open for several hours with no food available to be served. You can't make people wait, string them along and pretend you're serving food. That's just a terrible business practice. read more
