    Sweet tea done right

BISCUITS MADE FROM SRATCH! Boom! That's what I'm talking about. I'm a big fan of the biscuit and sausage game meal, but they are all good. Don't hesitate go through the drive through and order number eight.lol Pick you pleasure and the meals are reasonable. They also have Awesome sweet tea. Great service and the restaurant is clean with ample seating to dine in. Enjoy my friends. God Bless all my fellow foodies Always.

I had been curious about Biscuitville since its recent arrival in the Charlotte area. I won a giveaway that included several coupons and a gift card and we were in the area so we stopped by. Covid-19: their dining room is currently closed, so it's a drive through only situation. We two combos. The first was the Ultimate Sausage Biscuit with a Hashbrown and Blueberry Lemonade. The second was the Spicy Chicken and Honey Biscuit with Country Fries and Strawberry Lemonade. We enjoyed everything. I liked both biscuits, but preferred the Spicy Chicken and Honey. I wish it had more honey though. Both were a little dry and I wanted more sauce. I think the sausage would be good with gravy on it, so I might see if they can do that next time. Between the sides, I definitely preferred the country fries. I really liked the lemonades. They had actual fruit in them which was great. The biggest downside is the line. We waited for close to an hour. If we hadn't already been in the area with a gift card to use, I wouldn't have waited. For fast food (well I guess this wasn't fast for us), this was pretty good. If you can avoid the line, I'd recommend giving it a try.

4 starts for fast food? Biscuits are made in house & right there in a glass window so you can watch. The Biscuits- omg, yes for breakfast accessory! I ordered the breakfast platter- eggs, bacon, hashbrown & biscuit. It was a lot of eggs! The hashbrown was salty- no need to add. Bacon could've been crisper- but that my irrational preference. The biscuit was da bomb! Hubby got a sausage biscuit & an extra plain biscuit & you blinked and they were both gone. Sis & fiance both got bacon, egg & cheese biscuits & grits & Kelly said the grits were tasty. For fast food- this is a yummy quick breakfast choice!

Asked for no ice and this is what i get for $4. Definitely not worth it!! I will be going to corporate because that is ridiculous. When i first started going here i asked for no ice no problem and then they switched it to this amount a waste of time, energy, and gas.

Always wanted to try Biscuitville but am never around one early enough until today. I went for the super sausage and egg biscuit and it was pretty good. Don't expect any McDonald's like two for four deals here but you get what you pay for I guess. Would like to try something else given the opportunity.

My favorite fast food place for breakfast. The breakfast sandwiches here are the best! I ordered a chicken fried steak sandwich and a country ham sandwich for breakfast. They were both very good but I prefer the chicken fried steak one.

It's one…read moreof those comfort foods I don't eat often because it's so rich--but when I see it on a menu, it absolutely catches my attention. That's exactly what drew me to The Southern Pecan in SouthPark. Here in the South, they call it country fried steak, and I'm happy to report this one did not disappoint. I met a colleague there for lunch, and everything about the experience felt easy from the start. The restaurant is located in Phillips Place, a lovely little shopping area that feels a bit polished and upscale--with shops like Orvis, Tory Burch, and even a Restoration Hardware restaurant nearby. They do offer valet parking, which is a nice touch, though honestly parking is easy enough on your own. We had reservations through OpenTable and were seated on the patio, which was absolutely delightful for this time of year in Charlotte. The weather was perfect, the setting was relaxed, and the service started off warm and welcoming right away. Now, the food. The country fried steak was beautifully cooked--crispy on the outside, tender inside, and served with creamy mashed potatoes and gravy that hit all the nostalgic notes from my Texas upbringing. I paired it with a vegetable side (I believe it was broccoli or corn), and it was a classic Southern plate done right. We also enjoyed a couple of cocktails, and to finish, we split a praline bread pudding, which felt like the perfect Southern ending to the meal--sweet, comforting, and indulgent without being overwhelming. The staff was friendly and attentive, and one of the things I continue to appreciate about Charlotte is how easy it is to connect with people. We even chatted with diners at nearby tables, which added to that welcoming, community feel that makes dining out here so enjoyable--especially for someone coming from the Bay Area. Prices felt fair for the quality, the setting, and the portion sizes, and overall the experience left a great impression. Bottom line: If you're craving a solid Southern classic like country fried steak--or just want a relaxed patio lunch in a charming part of SouthPark--The Southern Pecan is definitely worth a visit. And as someone happily eating my way through Charlotte and the Southeast, this stop was another reminder that the journey has been a delicious one.

Typically, when someone from a restaurant reaches out to me about my review, especially when they are not 5 star, I instantly become skeptical. However, this owner made me feel comfortable to share my thoughts and explain how my visit went before anything else. Over the years, I have received tons of owners offering me a free meal in exchange for my integrity but I could tell this owner was extremely genuine and wanted to make sure my voice was heard. The initial post will remain the same but I wanted to amend some of the initial remarks including the service. The first time I tried this place, I received service that was not in alignment to the core values and standards this restaurant upholds, which, I am human and I have worked in food service for years so trust me, I get it. Since being back twice since my initial visit, I have been treated like family. The service has been up to par and the staff has been incredibly friendly. As far as the ambiance, it gives the feel of an old diner which makes it charming and lovable. Perhaps, some restorations and furnishings can be done nothing that isn't manageable. Lastly, I wanted to make sure to do a thorough review of the menu so when I went back twice after my initial review, I tried a menu item for each the breakfast menu and the dinner menu. The food was great! It was favorable, warm and packed with fresh ingredients. I tried the ribs and Mac and cheese as well as a breakfast plate on two separate occasions without letting the restaurant know I was coming back for a remake. The only thing I wasn't super thrilled about was the Mac and Cheese, other than that it was good. It goes to saying that their standards are commendable as they do care about their service, food and experience of the customers.

They even still have the 120 year old pews! If you ask your server, you are likely to hear the entire story of the place. It's pretty amazing. They recently received a Michelin recommendation and it's totally deserved. It's a buffet, but most of the hot food is actually served by a person which is something that I particularly appreciate. (I really don't like touching the handles of spoons that hundreds of people have touched.) Some of the stuff is self serve but not any of the hot dishes. Absolutely everything I tried was outstanding. Like everything. There are a few things that they consider "pass around" which means that they are brought over to you by a server at random intervals. For everything else, you just help yourself. I went with a friend of mine who has a deep appreciation for a southern food. He was absolutely amazed. Honestly, I can't think of a better place to have chosen to eat in a short time I had in Charlotte. I've attached a picture of the menu. I tried just about everything. I wasn't disappointed in a single thing, and I was completely wowed by many of them. The servers were wonderful. Very friendly and very willing to talk to us about the history and the food items that were there. Highest recommendation!
