Collin was great about listening to my concerns about my hair, and delivered a cute fresh style and styling tips I can duplicate at home easily. Getting an appointment was easy, and everyone at the salon was friendly and kind. It's so conveniently located and if you go on a weekend you kind of have to stop by the Eastern Market booths, which is a bonus in my book!

Da: amazing at balayage and free-styling haircuts. She is talented and brings your hair back alive. Adriana: listens to what you want and gives you exactly what you're looking for. I love coming to her for my in-between trims!! Shampoo station team: you'll get a warm hair wash and conditioning as well as a scalp massage. Mmmm. Staff is friendly and the place is always clean and well ventilated. I love that there is natural coming through the windows and it's in a good neighborhood. She did a great job on the bleaching and it's not damaged at all. The main gripe I have is that the dye she put on top washed out after one wash with purple shampoo, something that had never happened to me before when I had gotten my hair balayaged elsewhere in the past (nor when I'd gotten it toned every two months). She'd recommended using overtone conditioner--unfortunately, the silver overtone conditioner did nothing except give my hair a green twinge (looks a lot like hay currently.) When I panicked and told Doan about this she was kind and offered me useful advice--clarifying shampoo, which I hadn't thought about--and relayed the brand of dye she used so I wouldn't have an alternative salon use it on me in the future. Sadly, only two weeks after getting my hair done I'm going to have to go somewhere else to get it fixed, hence the three stars. :(

I had a great consultation prior to my appointment and Jessica was very knowledgeable. She took GREAT care of my curls and took my natural hair color of black to this GORGEOUS coppery color with NO bleach. The cut was awesome as well! She really cut into my hair got off all of the dead ends even at my shortest layer! Her attention to detail was overly appreciated. My curls are perfectly in tact under this blowout! I'm very pleased. The salon is gorgeous as well. Parking was pricey BUT Everyone was very polite, helpful and efficient! They were getting people in&out so fast! They offered complimentary coffee&etc as well.

I also have very curly hair, so my hair slips, slides, and unravel all the time. My girl really helped take care of my hair. She took her time, provided an excellent wash, and even provided different tips and tricks to help me understand how best to take care of my hair. She was awesome, and this is the best my Hair has felt in quite some time. For context, I came to see her after not having proper maintenance for a while and taking an ocean field trip to Mexico. I went from looking like a criminal who escaped the penitentiary, to a corporate baddie in just a couple hours. I would highly recommend . Also, because this is a true salon, the vibes are pretty great for the most part. The music is kind of all over the place, but the place is clean and they have really great product offerings.

I did not comment after my first time there as I thought perhaps it was an anomaly. Well, months later it's the same; I'm usually there on a weekday early to midday (no one cutting hair/the shop just opened). When in the waiting area, each time I've been there, I observed hair on the floor, bench and the table holding the magazines. The waiting area is not particularly near the hair cutting area. I'm worried that the place is not cleaned very often or swept. Tracy & Company is located close to the Eastern Market metro and on the Circulator line (the bus stop is literally right outside of their shop, making it very convenient).
