This place aesthetically is beautiful but service is extremely slow. The food is not worth it. It is mediocre at best. We ordered off the brunch menu and it took our food an hour and a half for two entrees. The waiter might as well not have existed because we barely saw him and then he totally disappeared and we never saw him again. This place was not crowded at all. There was only one other group of four seated inside when we arrived and only one group outside. The hostess was welcoming and kind. If you want to wait a long time for mediocre food at a beautiful location, come here. We had reservations but on a Sunday afternoon it didn't seem necessary because the place was pretty empty and you're going to wait almost 2 hours for your food anyways. Probably because the restaurant is not worth coming to. Our waiter Brian, was sitting around chatting and hanging out. He barely came to check on us. I brought my husband here for his bday and I felt so bad that I chose this place because it was a true disappointment. Andrew was the only redeeming individual in this situation. He actually came to check on us and offered us champagne. We couldn't drink even if we wanted to because we needed food in our system! .We will not be back.

I did the tequila tasting with Kevin and Peyton, let me say it was amazing! Never done a tequila tasting, had a blast and the food that came with it was amazing.

First time here and we were very disappointed with the service. It was not busy at all and there seemed to be a lot of employees standing around gossiping and doing a whole lot of nothing. We waited about 10 minutes for someone to come to our table and finally I had to get up and speak to the person who looked like a manager and ask if we could possibly get some service. There were only 3 tables that needed service so they were not busy at all. After another several minutes the server comes over and took our order. We ordered the calamari, which was ok. Not a lot of food for the price. We also ordered the salmon and the shrimp skewers. They were both good, maybe cut back on the swipe of yogurt...If you are hungry please note they do not have sides for the entrees. They do have a couple of side options if you order any of their sandwiches. Truffle fries, side salad or sweet potato fries. The prices for the entrees are pretty high so I expected more. We ordered an old fashioned which was great and the strawberry drink which was not so great. At the end of our meal we ordered the night cap and the dessert drink which was supposed to come with a lemon bar. The waiter came back and told me that they were out of the lemon bars. He asked if I still wanted the drink and I told him no. That I would like the coffee martini instead. The bartender made it very well known that she was not happy about the change. Not my issue...if you are out of something I order then I don't want it. The view was nice and will be even better when they get the lake filled. Hopefully if we go again the service will be better and the manager will actually care about her patrons and come to check up on the tables.

We had reservations for 6 at 12:45. Had just finished a wine tasting at the cellar room before wandering over here for lunch. We were seated promptly and our drink order was taken. We ordered some appetizers that came out within 10 minutes. My problem was our entree order wasn't taken for 30 minutes after our appetizers were finished. We waited an hour and thirty minutes from being seated to when our entrees arrived. The place was maybe half full at the time. I get that the pandemic has made things crazy but this wait seemed excessive. We were late for our next wine tasting because lunch took 2 hours. As for the food it was good. The appetizers we had we great and the sandwiches/burgers were tasty. I was disappointed in the Caesar salad that I got with my burger. I'd give this place 3.5 stars but they really need to work on getting orders and food out quicker.

Visited the Restaurant at Mount Palamar tonight, and had high hopes. The winery is beautiful! Unfortunately the restaurant experience was terrible. We had reviewed the menu online and had some great options, but tonight there was only 1 option, steak frites. So we all ordered the steak frites, 2 medium and 2 medium-rare. Took a long time to get the food. Our starter was calamari with barely any Calamari on the plate. We were only given plastic utensils. When our steak arrived we asked for real utensils and they had to run around trying to find silverware and steak knives. My medium steak was so overcooked I couldn't eat it. Another order was wrong, and when they brought out the right side dish it was totally burnt. Server was nice and apologetic, but the whole restaurant was understaffed and none of the customers were getting their food. At the end we had to ask for a reduction on the bill for the items we couldn't eat. Beautiful spot, terrible experience. Would not recommend.

Congratulations we have a winner! I've been to restaurants at least once a week for the past 30 years all over the world and this is the worst tasting dish ever, goat gonads included. Appetizers are ok, entrees are a complete ripoff, go to Taco Bell instead, you won't regret it! Service is good though.

8/26/23 My husband and I went to pick up our membership bottles and were so impressed by the customer service once again. We always love visiting Rhonda, she is so informative and great to talk to. Yesterday we decided to sit in the members only area and got the best service from Jacob! He is the wine club member manager and really cares about the customers and providing all of us with a great experience! We also loved meeting the new mixologist Deion. He is so passionate about his craft and made the BEST drinks! We love being members here. It's always a great time!

I have never been a big fan of Temecula wines (I love Napa and Paso Robles though), but I thought I would give Mount Palomar a try. Sadly, I am still not a fan. The wine was mediocre at best. We tried 4 different varietals, but didn't like any. What I did like about Mount Palomar was the friendly staff, the live music, and their food. Not totally a wasted trip!

The Restaurant at Mount Palomar really exceeded our expectations!! We came in today for Father's Day and had live solo music entertainment! Perfect for the winery and ambience. Also our server Tyler was amazing! So attentive, so knowledgeable and so friendly. Tyler gave so many great suggestions for specials, appetizers, lunch and drinks! My husband started off with the Rosemary Lemon drop which Tyler explain how Justin the bartender makes the Rosemary(from the property) syrup and the lemons to make this refreshing martini! It was delicious! We also had Meatballs and Corn fritters for appetizers, grilled chicken sandwich, fennel sausage flatbread and The Pulled Pork Sandwich Special. All accompanied with Shorty's Bistro White which Shar presented to us and explained all the expansions for Mount Palomar Winery. So exciting for this winery!! Definitely our favorite spot!! So relaxing and gorgeous with awesome staff, wine and food!!

The minute you walked in, the ambiance just wasn't it. Perhaps because we were the only minorities there and everyone else wasn't (including the staff) but it was uncomfortable having people stare at us while we were eating and having our own conversations. Someone came to get our drink order and then it took a bit of time for our actual waiter Leila to come take our order. She did mention she was doing something else. we ordered the steak and frites and their pork chop which was the special of the day. I ordered my steak medium rare and the rest of the table ordered it in medium. When the steaks came out, the waiters seem confused as if they weren't sure which plates went where and when asked if that's a medium rare steak, they stated yes. That steak was medium and it was also dry and under seasoned. It was also tough and chewy. The fries were either undercooked or overcooked. Chimichurri sauce had no flavor to it. We did also order the cedar salad which was delicious. Their calamari and wings were as well. At the end of the night, Leila asked our friend how he liked his steak because it didn't seem like he ate anything. He said it was okay and she kept insisting you can be honest and kept pushing the matter. This was extremely uncomfortable because there was no need to make him feel like he was put on the spot. while I understand the need to want feedback, if your guest says it's okay and seem uncomfortable, maybe leave it at that. She then came over to me and asked about my steak and again saying, "you can be honest." Why wouldn't I be? I did tell her the steak was cooked incorrectly, that was not a medium steak and pointed out that it was dry. There was this awkward silence at the table because honestly there wasn't a need to keep pushing. Simply asking how was it would have suffice. They did end up comping my steak which was nice of them however the entire experience just wasn't pleasant. From the ambiance, to the crowd, to the food - wasn't worth it.

We spent the night in the area and decided to grab some breakfast after check out. I looked up a few places on Yelp and decided on this place. Parking was a piece of cake since it's in a shopping plaza, so we had zero issues finding one. Once we walked up to the door, we were greeted by the hosted who was set up outside. She grabbed menus and quickly seated us inside. The menu is a bit overwhelming, but everyone made their decisions and I went with the shrimp & grits. That was probably one of the best shrimp & grits meals that I've had in a long time and everyone else's meals looked amazing. The kids had eggs bacon, sausage and hashbrowns. My wife had the French toast and my mom had a ham & cheese omelette. There were zero complaints and the service was great. If you like shrimp & grits I highly recommend ordering it. The girls at the front were welcoming, our server was amazing (and I'm still mad at myself for forgetting her name), and then there was Chris, the manager. First of all, Chris has the coolest rocker hair. Second, and more importantly, he went above and beyond to accommodate us. He and the entire team were incredibly attentive without being overbearing--a rare talent these days! Now let's talk about the food. I had the bison burger and wow. It wasn't trying to be fancy or complicated, it was just really, really good. The smoky applewood bacon was the perfect touch and took it to another level. And that Old Fashioned? Smoky, delicious, and dangerous because it goes down way too easy. The atmosphere was lively, fun, and the kind of place where you look around and immediately know you're going to have a good time. Great food, great drinks, and a staff that genuinely seems to care. Chris, if you're reading this, keep the hair. It's working.
