I have been wanting to try this restaurant since they've opened. It was very easy to make a reservation he just had a call up. I personally prefer to use OpenTable so maybe one day they will be added there. Upon arriving we could tell they were very busy. Unfortunately we did have a little bit of a wait and were seated after our reservation time. We didn't fault them though it's a Friday night during a pandemic. Once we were seated they definitely made up for it. Literally such incredible service. Adolfo was awesome! So attentive and knowledgeable. Definitely one of the best servers I've had in town. And he's also a partner which is cool. Now the food... holy crap! We started with the empanadas which were insane. I got the rigatoni with short rib and i didn't want it to end it was that good. My friend got the ahi which was also incredible. For dessert we had the cheesecake which was great. From start to end once we were seating everything was amazing. Can't wait to go back! read more

First visit to this popular Italian spot. Cute outdoor seating with large umbrella. Lunch salad special (mixed greens with grilled shrimp, watermelon, toasted pecans, and feta) was excellent. First timer. We did takeaway. Arugula salad (huge and delicious), empanada not greasy with an amazing filling. Swedish meatballs (could have been a meal, they were huge) tasty and rich. Rigatoni was amazing. So much food it's also lunch tomorrow. Fettuccine was solid. Salmon really, really well done. We all agreed this place goes into our regular rotation. From the appetizers to dessert, the food was fantastic! The shrimp bisque was piping hot & seasoned perfectly! My entree, a special of sea scallops, spinach & garlic mashed potatoes in a lemon cream sauce was delicious! Even the coffee was outstanding! The service was superb & friendly. We came back to town, after moving away about 10 yrs ago. We were looking for an early dinner. Unlike a few other restaurants, the staff allowed to come in and served us very professionally. The restaurant was extremely well decorated and the menu was outstanding. They started with complimentary bruschetta on small bread slices. Since this is a BYOB, the waiter/owner directed us to a near by wine store where we purchased some wine. We ordered mussels and burrata appetizers, that were outstanding. My wife ordered one of the specials which was seared scallops with potatoes and spinach. She just loved it. The scallops were cooked perfectly. I ordered the pasta bollegnase with three meats. This was phenomenal One of the owners took the time to give us a little of the restaurant history and was very friendly. I would greatly recommend this to everyone. Bistro 46 is an amazing new addition to town. From the second you arrive, you feel at home. The staff is so friendly and makes dining a pleasure. The specials are always super good and the menu has a ton of tasty options. I love tuna and the sushi pizza and the tuna entree are amazing! BYOB which a liquor store across the street. Heated outdoor igloos for safe dining. I can not emphasize enough how great this restaurant is! read more

Amazing FOOD! Ordered takeout for my Birthday and it was the BEST decision we made. The Brucetta, Penne Vodka & Short Ribs were sooooo Delicious. Delicious food, courteous and knowledgeable staff, heat lamps during Covid times... This was our first time at Bistro 46 and we will definitely return. The salads were plentiful and soups were hot! The only change we would have made was to dress the French onion soup with gruyere, not mozzarella. The tuna entree was delicious as was the cod Francese special. The Chicken Milanese was very good. For dessert, the Tiramisu was outstanding, as was the coconut pie. read more

This place opened last July in Morristown. A friend took me there for lunch today. The food and service were phenomenal. Salad first with candied walnuts, mesculin greens, feta cheese, dried cranberries and a really great dressing. I had the special: rigatoni with Bolognese sauce made from beef, pork and veal. Amazing. My friend had a short ribs sandwich that I tried and was also stellar. Dessert was a coconut pie to die for. The waiter was unbelievably friendly and great. Truly wonderful experience. The only drawback to this place is that we ate outside in a pod. The inside tables are really cheesy looking and the interior is seriously in need of an upgrade. I'll be back for the food. Rating 0. They were rude. I made a reservation on line. I prefer to make them on the phone, but it was early, and confirmed on-line. I specifically asked to dine outside, it was a rare beautiful day in NJ. When we arrived ,we were told any reservations made through Google were not permitted to be seated outside. "Do not use Google--they are useless." There were multiple tables outside, but we were advised that they were for customers who made reservations over the phone--which happens to be my personal preference. The manager was consulted, he dismissed us nastily and brushed us off. We have been patrons of Morristown restaurants for 40 yrs. We supported all of them through the pandemic who remained open or for take out. NEVER TREATED LIKE THIS BEFORE AND WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. I hope that Google dismisses them like they did us. read more

I had to think if a 4 or a 3. The food was good, service good, the ambiance in the indoor seating was subpar. Choose outdoor if you want a better experience. Indoor has like banquet chairs.. feels like you are in a cheap hall. Outdoor definitely feels like this is where you take a date out. We ordered the butternut squash as an appetizer, and it was just the right amount of creaminess mixed with butternut squash. As an entree, I got the braised beef short ribs, it came with mashed potatoes, fried onions, and a sauce. Kind staff but food is mediocre at best. All pasta dishes were over cooked and swimming in sauce like a soup dish. Bruschetta doesn't even come on fresh toasted bread, burrata mozzarella was said to be fresh abs made that day which was totally a lie and calmati must have come pre frozen and pre-breaded. Actually shocked by such high reviews and unfortunately will not be returning abs majority of us could make it paste several bites of our main courses. read more

Good ambience great service. Its our own fault but ordered chicken special and it turned out to be $40. The only way chicken breast with cheese should be $40 is if it came with a South African lobster tail on top. I always ask the price of specials but never on a chicken dish. read more

We brought in from Bistro 46 last night. We have never eaten there before so we had no idea what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. All four of us started with the Caesar salad. It was delicious and enough to share. I enjoyed the chicken milanes, which was crispy and wonderful. We also had chicken sorrentino, the salmon with pea risotto and the linguini fra diavolo. Each dish was packaged with care and the portions were very generous Management also gave us small cookies for dessert. All four of us enjoyed our meal and agreed that Bistro 46 will be on the top of our list for Morristown restaurants. A welcomed addition! read more

Hands down our new favorite restaurant in Morristown. Burrata was refreshing and delectable. My husband has celiac and they are very accommodating with most meals. The salmon/ tuna with risotto and pastas are incredible. BYOB, friendly staff, and on a quiet side street with great music! read more

Last night was my first visit here, but definitely impressed by the food. The cauliflower was amazing & so were the mussels. Then I got my entree (the salmon) , wow, was it delicious. Wow the food is amazing!!! My husband and go to the restaurant at least three times a week . The food is superb one of the best restaurants in Morristown. The owners only want to make your visit a perfect one. One of the signature dishes is my favorite you must try the short ribs. Ate here last night as a party of 8 and had a really lovely evening. The food was fantastic and there is a wide enough menu to suit all tastes. I really enjoyed the monkfish. Let me start off by saying the staff is fabulous. But I couldn't give it 5 stars for several reasons. First and foremost, the place looks like a banquet hall inside. Absolutely no ambience ... the chairs look like cheap office chairs and are uncomfortable. There is absolutely nothing in there that gave it a warm cozy feel ... literally felt like a cheap banquet hall. I've seen raves about the food. And we were ALL excited to try it and I'd say we were all left with "? Hmmm is it an off night?" The calamari was like rubber and perfect circles you know the kind I mean where your not sure what's underneath that breading cause how can every single piece be the same size. It was greasy, and it seemed like it may have come breaded like the kitchen didn't actually do the breading and the portion size was for one ... smallest portion of calamari I've ever seen. My chicken Milanese was meh. Chicken was tender but it was flavorless ... I don't know call me crazy but it's pretty difficult to mess up a chicken Milanese. I'm not gonna go through the whole meal and what I didn't like about it, but one thing I'll end with is do not serve a cappuccino that tastes like it came from a WaWa machine where you push the green button that says "cappuccino". Splurge and actually get a machine where you make the espresso and steam your own milk .... read more
