We came here after work as a friend recommended since it's fairly hidden. He said it was a Japanese fusion Italian with good drinks. M Bistro Beaux in Torrance is a hidden gem that blends Japanese and Italian flavors beautifully. The atmosphere is cozy yet lively, perfect for a late-night dinner with drinks. Service is attentive, and the menu feels both creative and comforting. A great spot for something different in the South Bay.

Reopened now with pretty much the same menu, except new items on the daily special, such as Oden and Bolognese octopus balls. I think the octopus balls are fried, but nothing wrong with that. I also ordered my favorite sauteed brussel sprouts with balsamic vinegar.

Great new find for me in old town Torrance. Have great top shelf alcohol. They have Whiskey samplers which were great to sit down with a friend for a leisurely conversation. It was a sampler of Ballentine's 12, 17 and 30 year. We had already eaten but wanted something to munch on with the whiskey so we ordered their calamari and fried potatoes in truffle oil. Both hit the spot. Buon Appetito

Did not know this little hidden gem was in old Torrance. Found it on Yelp, went it and was pleasantly surprised. Small and intimate, decor was the most interesting part with gates as little partitions. Forgot to snap photos of all the food we ate except for the first one which was nicely fried calamari, that was served very quickly and hot! The cocktail I had had a unique name and I wish I could recall but it was not too sweet, and all of the food we did order (and none of it is shown, we did a good sampling of a variety of things off the menu) was all served with just the right amount of heat, taste, quality, and attention to detail when serving to make sure it all came out at a good pace as you SHOULD expect. I definitely will be back and will catalog my experience next time with photos as it was truly a memorable time at this one delicious and delightful spot!

Loved our experience at this hidden jem. Don't eat the squid ink pasta on your first date lol your teeth will be black! But its worth it. This pasta was so flavorful and I was in love with the oysters in the garlic oil sauce! Karaage was cooked perfectly. Spagetti Crab Butter Rich and decadent and just how I like it! There was so much sauce packed with chunks of crab and loads of flavor!!! I read raving reviews about this dish and it loved up to the hype! We loved the Japanese Italian dishes at our last visit here that we had to come back yesterday and met the owner, Mami! She is super sweet and you can tell she really wants all her customers to feel at home. This restaurant, my friends, has unique creations that will have you coming back for more. It's a family owned business that has been open for years! I'm so glad we found a new go to spot! Please give them a visit and support local! They have seating that is socially distant to ensure safety or you can order takeout! You'll love the food, drinks and service here! . . .

Such a variety of delicious eats, great to share with friends! Service is good! Not much for ambiance as it feels just like a restaurant bar. I would highly recommend the pizza with mochi and something else. And the mochi with prosciutto, yum! Must get!

This isn't Halloween decor. sign is flashing like a scene from a horror movie, door is boarded up, inside stench of rotten sewage.

The night we went, they had the regular Dole Whip frozen drink and ube as the rotating flavor. Both were dope! It's only a few bucks more to add a rum floater, but I stopped doing that. The drink tastes so good I finish it in minutes, and I prefer not to get hammered on a Wednesday night. No kitchen is the only real downside. People bring food in or DoorDash it, which works. Parking can be tough sometimes because of the other businesses around the plaza. It can get cold in there from the A/C, so bring a sweatshirt or jacket. When I want a frozen drink in the South Bay, I know where to go!

It's literally walking distance from our hotel in Torrance -- so close we actually walked past it the first time without even realizing it was there. Super hidden, easy to miss. The space itself is small, and when you first walk in it doesn't hit you with an over-the-top tiki vibe right away. But once the drinks start coming out, it fully delivers. The glassware is so fun and themed -- I was obsessed with the flamingo cup and actually ended up buying a couple online since I couldn't take the real one home with me. Drink-wise, I stuck mostly to my usual zombie, which has this great earthy, cinnamon-y flavor that's just different from anything else -- does the trick every time (there's a two-drink max/minimum on it, which I respect). We also tried a Makahiki Mua and a Painkiller, both really solid. The Makahiki Mua had a fun flavor, kind of similar to a Painkiller, but the zombie is still my go-to. Service was pretty good overall -- the bartender stayed mostly in one corner of the bar, which actually worked in our favor since we got served fast. A couple of small quirks though: they only have a limited number of menus, so we kept having to pass one back and forth around the bar, which felt a little silly. They also seemed to be running low on drink cups at times, having to wash and rotate them back into use, which was an odd thing to notice at a bar this size. Also wish they had some food or snacks available, even something small -- but that's a minor gripe. Vibe-wise, this is easily one of my favorite tiki lounges I've been to -- doesn't quite topple Broken Compass Tiki for me, but it's up there. Fun, easy, great drinks, solid service despite the small hiccups, and a perfect spot if you're staying in the Torrance area. Would absolutely go back and would recommend it to anyone chasing that tiki lounge crawl.

We were thrilled to see a few menu options that were marked as vegan. Bonus points for being affordable! I completely missed their attached parking lot when I arrived and ended up parking across the street in the neighborhood, where there was ample free parking. When we arrived, the restaurant was about half full and there was live music occurring on the patio. We opted to sit inside where it was a little less noisy and there was a comfy and cozy booth calling our name. The vibe was great, with fun and eclectic decor. The service was really upbeat and friendly and our server was so kind and helpful. We asked him if the espresso martini had dairy in it (which I just discovered that is a thing at some places) and he double checked with the bartender to ensure there wasn't my dairy in it! I ordered that alongside a falafel wrap I must say, both of these worked so well together. The espresso martini was light and refreshing yet still had a bold flavor. The falafel was nice and crispy with a delectable inside and the tahini sauce was so rich and creamy. The meal felt indulgent yet hearty all at the same time. I left feeling so uplifted and relaxed all at the same time. Despite it being on the noisier side, I was still able to hear my friend well and it was such a great place for us to catch up. I would highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely return the next time I'm in the area!

Overall our meal was great and there were TVs visible from anywhere you sat, which is perfect for a sports bar. My big gripe is being charged $1 for pickles to go with a sandwich. Maybe you get more if they put them directly on the sandwich, but they forgot mine so the pickles came in a ramekin. 6 pickle slices for $1.

With new ownership comes an affiliated new crowd coinciding w/ old crowd. You could cut the tension in the air w/ someone's pocket knife because you just felt at least one person was packing. I never felt the need to look over my shoulder regularly thru the night til now. Territorial is an understatement. It could be your first visit, and you could tell two different groups were there. Service was disappointing. A customer is a customer, but I noticed new ownership neglected old crowd to tend to her crowd or anything else to keep her "busy." Meanwhile, original bartenders were bending over backwards for everybody. We, in the old crowd, are familiar enough w/ each other for some small talk at the bar while waiting for drinks. They were as confused and shocked as I was about the service. I don't even want to mention what I saw in owner/staff interactions, but I'ma just leave it at sad. It was just sad. I got to visit Keegan's again recently when a friend was visiting from out of town. We had just grabbed dinner and boba and headed out here to hang out for Saturday night. We came close to 10pm and there was a bouncer at the door checking everyone's IDs. The place was relatively packed with several different celebrations and birthdays in their outdoor area that has all the fire pits. They had waiters coming around the outside tables but one could also go straight to the bar to place drink orders. There were several tvs around the bar area and I spotted a pool area towards the back of the outside area. Most of the fire pits seating was taken by large parties but there were some smaller tables, that my friend and I were able to sit at. We didn't get any food but I got to try my old favorite Lemon Drop - which was a nice, refreshing sweet treat for a Saturday night. I did quickly scan the food menu and it's a lot of traditional bar food like burgers and fries. The music for the night consisted of old school rap songs from the 2000s. It seemed perfectly catered to the crowd for the night that seemed to consist of folks in their 30s and a few folks in their early 40s. Overall visiting here took me back to when my friend celebrated her birthday. It's an overall chill spot . The crowd wasn't overly loud or rowdy and everyone was just out enjoying a Saturday night.
