We have come here once before, made it to the door, but didn't dine here. For some reason, we ended up eating elsewhere. It all worked out well this time! WA Dining is located in the Country Hills Shopping Center. This place was once called Inaba, but is now Wa-Dining SUYA. I read on their website that they have a 6 seat Sushi counter called Sushi Inaba. So, according to the website, there is a connection. When we came here on Nov. 16th, we were waiting for them to open and a lady came out. We asked if we they were booked up or if they could fit us in. She informed us there was going to be a large party and asked us if we minded the noise. We told her we would be fine with anything. She seated us and shortly afterwards, that large party came rolling in. They ended up not being loud at all. Hubby wanted to take me out for a nice birthday dinner ON my birth date. We landed here. The two women servers were super attentive and courteous. Hubby ordered the Chef's Omakase: A5 Wagyu Filet Mignon Steak 4oz for me and he got himself the Luxury Hamburger Steak 8oz. We were very impressed with the service and the food. Every bite was superb! That Wagyu Filet Mignon is out of this world! Hubby tasted everything that was included in the Omakase and was also amazed. The Chef's Omakase included: 1st Course: Five Piece Amuse-Bouche - Miso Cheese, Duck, Tuna, Yellowtail, & Tomatoes with Daikon Radish 2nd Course: Creamy Potato Soup 3rd Course: Two Panko Crusted Shrimp 4th Course: A5 Wagyu Filet Mignon Steak 4oz 5th Course: Dessert & coffee or tea - I chose Chocolate Hazelnut Crepe Cake with Earl Grey Tea & the restaurant gave me the Strawberry Mochi The Hamburger Steak was delicious! I don't like it that don't have a great time, but so did the kids. My kids are seven and nine and they really enjoyed this restaurant. The kids enjoyed the origami coasters in our server was just super nice to the children. As for the food, you must order a steak. It's what they're known for, and it comes out on a skillet on a bed of onions. We also ordered including lobster tempura, pasta, sashimi, and the tasting menu. Everything was delicious. read more

I've been here twice now and service is excellent! Probably one of the best service I have ever received. They are so accommodating! I went with my mom and sister and we all had bags that we hung on the chair. Our waitress brought over baskets so we could place them there instead, so our bags wouldn't fall, which was so considerate! The ambiance is peaceful and warm like a coffee shop. It's leaning more towards refined dining but still casual enough for everyday people. Pricing is on the higher end but expected from a higher end restaurant. The food is delicious and high quality! I dunno how or why I'm only finally discovering WA Dining but here we are. In case you're unaware, this is a Japanese steakhouse so expect to pay a pretty penny to dine here. Now, let's talk food. Everything looks good but we opted for a steak omakase type meal consisting of a 5 taster appetizer, soup, tempura, steak, and dessert. The appetizer was a banger with an assortment of tuna, duck, cream cheese, tomato, and salmon. Yes, it's all fresh, and yes, it's all delicious. The soup was creamy and rich, I imagine they alternate it through the weeks but trust that you get good soup. Tempura was crispy and delicious without feeling overly oily. Yeah, I'm a fan. The steak? I got a ribeye and oof, the homemade steak sauce went amazing with the ribeye. Rich and juicy doesn't quite do it justice, anyway, just try it. The desserts are all good so just point and choose hah! So all in all, this is a delicious steakhouse tucked away in a quiet plaza so you may not know to even look here but if you do, you're in for a treat. So enough of that, come eat! read more

My first time here, but my wife had been here years ago on a business dinner. We both ordered the Chef's Omakase dinner, one with Filet and one with New York steak. The five course meal came out in very well prepared and timed intervals allowing for us to enjoy each course's unique flavor and texture while leaving time to discuss that part of the meal. Looking around the restaurant during our dinner, I noticed most customers had ordered similarly as the meals went by. The restaurant was full throughout the evening, with a couple celebrations through the night. The old saying that a meal is excellent with great service was true here, and the saying continues, that it's superb when someone else picks up the tab. Well, my wife brought her wallet tonight. Always on the search for a good prime ribeye, I came across WA Dining - I-NABA Steakhouse on Yelp. Come to find out, it's the same owner as the I-NABA restaurant in Honolulu that I'm familiar with. After reviewing their menu online, I was stoked to see that they had a 5-course Chef's Omakase dinner. The photos of the food looked great, and the price was even better! The price depends on the main entree that you choose. We selected the 10 oz Prime Grade Ribeye for $65. Every course that we had was creative and delicious! The ribeye comes on a sizzling platter, so I'd recommend that you order it rare if you like medium rare, as the steak will continue to cook. It's not your typical ribeye that you'd get at a steakhouse like Flemings. It's smaller and not as well seasoned. It was also a bit fatty, but still tasty. Service was impeccable. The 5 courses came out in a timely manner and each course was explained to us in detail. All of the service staff were very friendly. The restaurant itself is rather small, so I'd recommend making reservations ahead of time. Although it's a steakhouse, the atmosphere is casual attire. I came here for Lunch, not sure if menu differs from dinner. hamburg steak was $20 and for +$3.50 i got nice amount of salad before hamburg steak and also iced tea with free refill and dessert! My son took us out for Mother's Day here. We have been many times before, including last Mother's Day. Today the service was extremely poor and we were overcharged for our meals. We each ordered the lunch special with the 5 bites and steaks. After our appetizer, we waited an inordinately long time. The waitress never brought our salads and soup, but eventually brought our entrees. The food was delicious, but we sat with dirty plates in front of us for the longest time. We were the second people in the restaurant and it was not that busy. Our waitress was just not attentive. We had to ask another waitress for to-go containers. Finally, when we asked for the dessert and coffee that comes with the lunch special, we were told that we had to order off the menu because we hadn't ordered the special! We were charged separately for the 5-bites, which was $36 more. When we packed up our leftovers, we had two containers and two small sauce cups that they gave us to carry out. I had to ask for a bag! Been here on 2 occasions and I have to say I'm always blown away by the quality of the food. Especially for this price point, the quality by far exceeds the costs. The food is always excellent here. This time I came for my birthday dinner. We ordered the tempura, uni & ikura pasta, yuzu pepper steak and the chicken wings. The best dish was definitely the tempura as the batter was perfectly light and well seasoned. The steak was on the tougher side but still had great yuzu taste. Definitely next time I'll have to do the omakase again as that was my favorite last time. The service was fast and very attentive. My fiancé's family has a tradition of eating Christmas dinner at this steak house (they've been doing it every year since it first opened)! I was fortunate enough to participate for the second time and it's as amazing as I remember from the first time I ate here. The food is impeccably prepared: you can tell the chef really puts a lot of TLC into the dishes! I had the Christmas dinner course with filet mignon, and each dish was perfection. The whole course was so delicious that I regretted how full I was by the end of it, as I couldn't completely finish some of my food. Of course, I still had room for dessert somehow! My only gripe was that the rate at which the dishes came out was inconsistent, and we were left waiting for a while for our drinks and certain parts of the course. However, the staff is so friendly and really good at their jobs, and they still managed to go above and beyond our expectations. My fiancé and I both love their steak sauce and they allowed us to take some home (and even gave us a little more!). I'm looking forward to future Christmas dinners here. Because it's a local restaurant, and not a chain, I am more generous with my review. We arrived at the restaurant, which has ample parking, we checked in with the hostess which seemed...nonchalant. The restaurant was 25% full. We sat down and our wait came over to take our order, also very....nonchalant. We ordered appetizers and entrees resulting in a $250 bill. I would say the food quality is slightly above average. And service average. I wouldn't recommend coming here to folks. Wa (和) has the meaning of harmoniousness where all elements exist smoothly and pleasantly together. The ancient name of Japan is Yamato (大和) which includes the ideograph Wa. So Wa is often used to denote something Japanese. 和牛 Wagyū (wah ghee yu) therefore means Japanese Beef usually of the highest quality.  However one interprets Wa, Inaba Sakè & Steak House has a "bargain" in having A5 grade Wagyū from Miyazaki prefecture on the southernmost, large island of Kyūshū. Of course, Inaba also serves fish dishes, Italo-Japanese pasta, french fries, and other Western influenced dishes to please the eclectic palate. 1) House French Fries: Crisp & rough on the outside, creamy inside. Faint earthy potatoiness. Comes out hot & fresh from the frier to capture the height of hot, crispiness. Comes w/ standard ketchup & house Ranch which is funky from garlic.  2) Miyazaki A5 Wagyū New York Steak: 5oz of bovine perfection. The Wagyū comes out sizzling, releasing its perfume. Texture is pleasingly a bit rough. As one chews a beefy, meaty, luxurious fat seeps out to envelope the entire mouth. Touch gamey which brings out the carnivore instincts. Heavy fork and very sharp steak knife substitute for claws and long canine teeth. On a super heated black iron plate. Nice medley of caramelized onion, red & yellow bellpeppers, al dente broccoli flowerette, chunk of woodsy Shītakè (shee tah keh) mushroom. Creamy mashed potato w/ butter & possibly white cheddar rounds out the set. 3) Liguine Pasta w/ Garlic, Butter, Shōyu/soy sauce: Al dente, slippery smooth pasta dressed w/ fragrant, dairy rich butter, made salty, fermented from the Shōyu, earthy from garlic. There is a medley of Shimèji & Maitakè (mah ee tah keh) buttery mushrooms that are fibrous & chewy as a good contrast to the slippery Linguine. 1-3a) Since the Wagyū is from Japan, I opted for Sakè (sah keh). Masumi Okudèn was a damn good pairing for all the above dishes ordered. Bouquet initially has faint, raw clam, sea minerality. Woodsy, wet earth, mushroom. Toasty brown sugar and marshmallow scents. Taste is smooth, sweet, minty, cotton candy, brown sugar toastiness balanced by gentle bitterness. Finish is mellow liveliness, bitter sweet, clean yet foresty.  4) Chestnut Dessert: Puréed chestnut to the point of creaminess folded into thick Crème Chantilly. Simple, rich, decadent, special house made dessert. I asked for the name, but they hadn't named it yet. Tomo was our waitress who is friendly, accommodating, efficient. By far the most intimate and personalized dining experience I've ever had. The service was amazing since the staff to customer ratio was very good. Often times these restaurants try to pack as many tables into a small space but this one was nicely spread apart. You can tell the servers enjoyed being there which shows great management. We got the onion soup, Cesar salads, filet mignon, and hamburger steak. Onion sound was amazing with the perfect amount of cheese that was stretchy to perfection. Sharing it with two people is the right amount. The filet mignon and hamburger steak were delicious. The plates came hot so the food was still sizzling. It came was lovely mashed potato's and mushrooms which i loved. At the end they gave us some complimentary desserts like ice cream or hot tea! 1. Wa dining bento with salmon: salmon is well cooked and has a nice miso flavor. The tempura is crispy and not too starchy. I think the tempura dipping sauce could be a little stronger. Good array of different sashimi. A good deal even without the prefix. 2. Added prefix B: salad, soup, dessert, and drinks -our waitress was nice enough to let us know that getting the prefix was cheaper than just getting the drinks separately -salad comes with honey balsamic vinaigrette. I thought the food here was decent. Each order came with its own side of salad and there was bread provided for appetizers. For the first order, we had the Shrimp and Mentaiko Cream with penne pasta. It contained shrimp and cod roe cream sauce. I didn't taste any spiciness, but it was the creamiest most delicious pasta. This was definitely the highlight of the meal. For the second order, we had the 8 oz. CAB New York Steak cooked medium rare. As you can see in the photos, it's definitely a little on the rarer side, which I thought was good. However, it's not the quality you would expect at a steakhouse. Then again, this is one of the cheapest New York strip steak you can find anywhere. Basically, you get what you pay for. The omakase meal set was so good!! We went here for Valentine's Day and I made a reservation a week ahead of time, just to be safe, but I don't think it was necessary. I think walk ins were being accepted. We both got the omakase set, one NY steak and one filet mignon. So good! Cooked to perfection. Ending the meal with dessert, we had a wide variety of selection. We got one green tea crème brûlée (WHICH IS SO GOOD! Would come back just for this) and one mango cake, which was also so good, tasting like a gummy. I have been coming here for years and this is a go-to restaurant for a family lunch with my parents. Walking in, it feels like you are in a bistroeque intimate living room, which is typical in Japan. The service has alway been terrific. For ladies, they even have a basket to hold your purse. The house wines and sparkling are very reasonable and tasty. The food has been consistently very good no matter what I order or when. I've had everything from the mentaiko pastas, steaks, wagyu curries to sashimi dishes. The fish is always very fresh and it's just really well presented and executed food, all the way down to the basket of bread rolls. My parents and I went last night and the food was delicious! We had their soup of the day which was beet soup, as well as Zuké Tuna Sashimi, for appetizer. I had their Hamburg Steak and my parents had steak. Everything was delicious. We've eaten here before the management changed and the food quality/service/ambiance/everything before AND after were both stunning!
