During my visit, I ordered a bowl of Udon noodles, a cup of green tea, a Hang Over roll, and an Atlantic roll. The bill was under $47 before tip, and included a special offer where you buy one roll and get a second for half price. I stopped by midday during the week, and it wasn't too busy. The service was prompt, the food arrived quickly. The dining room was clean, bright, and spacious. I didn't have sushi, but the rolls I tried were tasty. The noodles, and the tempura vegetables that came with the meal, were good too. Note: They also have a really nice Dodgers mural painted on the side of their restaurant. The artwork is well done.

The family and I were excited to try Kin Sushi! It was the home to our favorite sushi place, we were so happy that another sushi owner took over. We got a variety of sushi, hot food and salads between the three of us. The salads were amazing, so much of the chosen protein. We got cold tofu and salmon skin. Only minor feedback is it could use a little more greens to balance out with the proteins. The flavor of both salads were really good and balanced. We also go two hot foods: Salmon collar - great tasting and probably the best value on the menu. $10 a ll carte and we got a pretty good sized one. We also got the salmon teriyaki, which came in a bowl with rice,!veggies and miso soup on the side. Both very tasty, not dried or oily. The miso was really good too. We got salmon sashimi that came beautifully displayed, fresh and my daughter ate it up pretty quickly. Nice portions too. Lastly we also go the Happy Roll. Man, my new favorite. I can't explain all the flavors and crunch him a review. Just get it! The service was wonderful, prompt and friendly. The ambiance was modern, clean and had a good amount of seating. They are using the second side of the restaurant more than the previous owner. It's nice! They have a small park lot next to the restaurant, maybe 15 or so spots. Check it out! We will be back!

Heard this restaurant opened about 4 months ago and people on social media ranted about how good their food is. Discovered they put Dodgers mural on their wall. Had to check it out. Food is really good. They have a rice and no rice sushi menu with a creative spin on some of the dishes. Hosts and hostesses are always checking on you to top off drinks and ask if you need anything else.

Excellent sushi. We've been coming to this location for 2 years. The management changed but it is still good.

Great first experience here. I pass by all the time and honestly never noticed this location because it is tucked next to a residential building. But you can spot it with a beautiful mural right outside. Food was delicious and service was very nice. It was my friend's birthday and we were complemented a green tea ice cream with sprinkles and a candle.

Chef made complimentary shrimp "bunnies" for the kids and brought them out himself. Service was above and beyond!

Service: warm, fast, friendly, efficient! Perfection! Atmosphere: clean, polished, and cozy, with warm lighting, good music (all the fun, pop/alt hits), and baseball playing on the TV. Food: 11/10 everything we ordered was delicious, my favorite is the Salmon Ponzu. I could probably sit there and eat three orders of just that. The chef came out and gave my sons these cute little shrimp bunnies. It was very sweet of him and my 3 year old is now a huge fan of the chef. He kept saying how much he liked the chef, it was very cute. An amazing experience overall-we are so happy to have a new and delicious local Sushi spot!

No wait on a Sunday evening so that was first good note~ the restaurant is super clean and welcoming. Staff were welcoming and friendly. All the food we got was delicious, only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the crispy rice part of the spicy tuna crispy rice as it was a little too hard/kinda chewy. But all the rolls were perfect and the sashimi was so fresh and delicious.

This place is a NEW hidden gem--literally! Keep your eyes peeled or you'll drive right past it. I'm so glad I stopped in; the sushi combo was absolutely incredible. The menu is packed with options without being overwhelming, and honestly, you can't go wrong with anything you order. Do yourself a favor and check it out--you won't be disappointed! ****see picture attached****

new establishment after ueno sushi!! my mom and i visited after seeing that there was a new restaurant at our old sushi place; so glad we checked it out. the place is SO clean and the interior is so cute :') there's parking attached to the establishment!! the server was so nice and checked in with us multiple times to ensure that everything was taken care of. the food was SOO delicious. the prices are cheap but the quality is GOOD! was honestly so so surprised. they have really good lunch and dinner specials. i got the kin lunch set and my mom got the mama san set. both were so filling as it came with miso soup and salad and the food was scrumptious. i'd DEFINITELY come back soon and recommend anyone to try it!! wishing the BEST for them because it was just that worth it for us!

    Hand cut "Philli Roll"

I've been looking for a new local sushi place and decided to give Kin Sushi House a try. We decided to order online and pick it up. We ordered around 6 pm on a Tuesday evening. The website said that our order would be ready for pickup in 25 minutes, which I thought was very reasonable. We ordered the hand cut "Philli Roll", the seared albacore sashimi, a double order of seared ahi tuna sashimi, and a side of sticky rice. I saw that 2 oz of wasabi and 1 oz of ginger were on the menu, so I ordered it, not knowing that our order would come with plenty of prepackaged wasabi, ginger, and low sodium soy sauce. The "ordered" wasabi and ginger were freshly prepared. The food was incredibly well-prepared, nicely presented, and delicious! There was no doubt that it was fresh and of the highest quality. The food at Kin Sushi is on par with any high end sushi bar or restaurant. Since I didn't dine in the restaurant, I can't speak to the ambiance of the place. What I can tell you is why I am giving four stars to a place with five star cuisine... Kin Sushi doesn't have its own website. The menu, which doesn't do much to showcase the excellent quality of their fare, can be found on Toast and Yelp. The business hasn't made an effort to take pictures of their restaurant or their food. The few pictures that are available were taken and posted by customers. The prices on the menu are significantly higher than the average sushi place. In fact, I almost passed on this restaurant because of the prices. Now I know that the price reflects the quality of the food, but prospective customers shouldn't have to be surprised by this. Hire a professional to take pictures of your restaurant and your food to create a better menu and post on Yelp, even if you don't create a website or increase your social media presence. Yes, Kin Sushi is a hidden gem... please don't let it become a lost one.

Went with my girlfriend to see the new Dodgers mural and try their food, it was super delicious! Our fav was most definitely Midnight Roll and both had miso soup has a mandatory staple. We were the first ones for dinner service at 5pm and the food came out reasonably quick (we were the only ones at the time anyways). Smallish parking lot so be weary

This sushi spot has only a few months opened. Honestly for a new spot they did not disappoint! The lady who served us and checked us out was very welcoming. The music was great don't know if it was shuffled or someone's personal playlist but keep it going lol! But overall 10/10 honestly everything we ordered for lunch did not disappoint. Tasted fresh, fish was not slimy or chewy it was honestly perfect melts in your mouth if that makes any sense? Tempura was freshly crisp. Oh man and that scallop inari AMAZING! Seaweed salad cold and fresh. Truthfully for a new spot this was great food, and remember they are new so yes it's a work in progress. Kin Sushi keep it going whatever it is you're doing! Also prices are reasonable!! I'd argue it's much lesser than other places I've been to. Also parking is in the back

Mixed tempura soooo delicious and great a portion :)

The food was so delicious the service from the waitress was great! Everything tasted fresh and every thing came out quickly. Fresh clean relaxing environment. The waitress was kind enough to put the soccer game on for me. Will be coming back soon!

We chose Ise-Shima at the Miyako Hotel for an early birthday celebration with my parents, wife,…read morechildren, sister and nephews. It should have been an easy win. The room is beautiful. The chefs are visible. The staff is plentiful. The music is good. The atmosphere feels like the kind of place that understands hospitality. Unfortunately, the experience never quite came together. The first challenge was the temperature. The dining room felt more like a sauna than a restaurant. To his credit, our server Arthur worked hard to help and eventually got management to increase the air conditioning. He was easily the standout of the evening and did everything he could to salvage the experience. We ordered extensively, including the $130 Ise Course. Some of it was quite good. Some of it was surprisingly disappointing. The grilled lobster with yuzu miso and kinome was completely overcooked, dry and buried under too much sauce. One of the signature dishes of the course ended up being one of the weakest. The grilled yellowtail suffered from the same problem: dry, overcooked and lacking the care you would expect from a restaurant presenting a seasonal multi course menu at this price point. The larger issue was organization. Dishes constantly arrived with servers asking, "Who ordered this?" or "Who has the udon?" The dining room felt strangely disconnected from the kitchen. Food runners seemed unsure where dishes belonged, which created confusion throughout the meal. Then things really went sideways. Trying to be respectful, I asked that my parents be served first. Everyone eventually received their meals and continued eating. The problem was that my Ise Course never arrived in sequence. My family finished their meals. My children finished. My parents finished. My sister finished. And on my birthday, I sat there alone waiting for several missing courses while everyone else watched. A seasonal set menu is supposed to feel paced and intentional. Instead, it felt forgotten. Arthur again stepped in and spoke with management. The restaurant offered complimentary desserts, which was appreciated, although somewhat awkward because my meal was still arriving while everyone else was already moving on to dessert. What happened next genuinely surprised me. When the bill arrived, management returned and asked whether we would be willing to authorize an additional charge so gratuity could be increased from 18% to 20% because of the size of the party. After the heat, the delays, the confusion, the overcooked centerpiece dishes, the missed pacing and spending a birthday meal eating alone after everyone else had finished, it felt like the wrong conversation to be having. I don't enjoy writing reviews like this because there is clearly talent in the building and Arthur deserves recognition for how hard he worked. But hospitality is ultimately about making people feel cared for. On this visit, despite a beautiful room and some good food, that never happened.

The Uni Shooter was easily the highlight for me. Since it is consumed in one bite, the flavors arrive almost like a sudden burst. The vinegar-based tosazu sauce hits first with a sharp, energetic acidity. Then the quail egg yolk comes in and softens the vinegar while blending with the creamy uni, making the entire flavor become rounder and more harmonious. The contrast between the initial acidic impact and the gentle richness that follows was extremely well designed. It was memorable and very enjoyable. The Uni Oyster was much less successful. Both the oyster and the fish roe already have strong, assertive flavors. Together, they create an effective duet: the oyster provides the deep briny foundation, while each roe bead bursts and repeatedly adds small waves of salinity and texture. Unfortunately, the uni was too delicate to compete with either of them. Its flavor was almost completely lost. Instead of improving the oyster, the uni felt as though it had been added simply because this is a uni-focused restaurant. In my opinion, the dish would actually have been more coherent without it. The Uni Pasta was good. It was creamy, rich, and full-flavored, with enough uni character to make the dish satisfying. The portion was also very well judged. Rich uni pasta can easily become tiring, but this serving ended at exactly the right moment--just as I was beginning to feel that another few bites might become too heavy. Overall, the Uni Shooter was excellent and worth ordering. The pasta was enjoyable and well portioned. The oyster dish, however, needed better balance because the uni was overwhelmed by the much stronger oyster and roe. A worthwhile destination for uni lovers, but the best dishes are the ones in which the uni is allowed to remain the focus.

You get front-row seats to the chef slicing, rolling, and plating like he's auditioning for "Top Chef - Sushi Edition." "Today we went all in," * Uni Soba, so rich, buttery, and the kind of dish that makes you rethink your choices in a good way. * Uni Udon, same vibe but thicker noodles, like the soba's more confident older sibling. * Natto Cut Roll, funky, sticky, and delicious if you're into natto (I am). * Fresh Sea Urchin Sashimi Roll, ocean sweetness, super fresh, melts instantly. * Assorted Nigiri, clean cuts, perfect temperature, and the chef plated it like he was entering a beauty contest. * Salad , Wow...crisp, refreshing, and a nice break from all the luxurious uni. Overall, great food, great service, and a chef who made my entire order right in front of me with the seriousness of a man carving a national treasure. Loved it. Miguel C.

Went with a chef's sampler of skewers and got four delicious yakitori skewers. Got delicious chicken wings and chicken karaage that were addictive and the perfect bar food. After eating these dishes, we got a piece of wagyu sashimi (raw) with uni, which was a great bite and we closed our meal with some yuzu snapper carpaccio. Overall, I'm so glad we came here for an after-work meal. It's not cheap, but I was pleased with the portions and the quality of everything we had. We will definitely come back to get some more meat and beer!

Izakaya Hachi definitely delivers on the lively, bustling energy you expect from a popular local…read morespot, though my first visit came with a mix of standout hits and a few minor misses. The food highlights were easily the gobo chips and the skewers. The gobo chips arrived as an impressive, light-as-air mound dusted with seaweed seasoning... super crisp, savory, and addictively easy to snack on. The pork and wagyu skewers were masterfully executed as well, coming off the grill tender, juicy, and packed with rich, smoky flavor. The toasted eihire (stingray/filefish) was another great traditional touch, perfectly chewy and ideal for dipping in the spiced Japanese mayo my favorite.. On the flip side, a few dishes lacked the depth I was hoping for. The chicken karaage was fried well, but the flavor itself was a bit bland and needed more seasoning or marination and soft. The pressed rice rolls also fell flat, particularly the mentaiko roll.. it felt skimpy on the cod roe, and because the mentaiko seemed cooked through, it missed that fresh, raw texture and punchy brine that makes the dish shine. As for the space, it's quite dark, compact, and packed tightly with tables, which makes it feel a bit cramped when it's busy. However, seeing the dining room constantly full tells me that their best dishes keep people coming back. While there were some inconsistencies in taste, the highlights made it a solid experience, and I'm looking forward to returning to try more of the menu and updating my score!

So people needed to squeeze by and then one guy asked if he could sit for a moment at my table. I said okay. But then I think he planned to stay at my table until finally my waiter moved him! There was a seat at one their tables the whole time. Then their waitress wedge herself with her back toward me in between the tables and I had to stop eating. Very disruptive and rude. Taking a while for the six people to order so I nudged her and I asked her to move and she seemed upset that I did that but didn't say anything no apology so it was very uncomfortable and I was rushing through my food so I burnt my tongue on the hot soup again even though I knew it was hot because I just wanted to get out of there. And then when I was done, I had to wait a while for the check and then they couldn't process the Apple Pay at the table so then I had to go to the front and wait for somebody to attend to me there overall this experience was not fun and stressful and I had got there right when they opened. I sure wish I had selected a different seat!! I wouldn't get the Nabeyaki soup again. It was really big and had a lot of end pieces of tough napa cabbage. There were two pieced of shitake mushroom and the standard thin fish cake slice. There was and egg in the soup and a three small chicken pieces. On the side were three small pieces of green bean and two tempura shrimp.
