A few years ago, the Bistro provided us with one of the best Shabbat meals we have ever had... Highly recommend.

This was truly the best food I've ever had in my life, the corn dogs were life changing. I will say the food came out relatively quick but tasted super fresh. It took us a while after we finished eating to get our bill however this was truly an amazing experience. I highly recommend Bistro if you want high quality food. I have never left a review before but had to comment on how disappointed I was with this restaurant I ordered the chicken soup for $20 and the bowl was broth, 8 mini carrot bits, 4 little zucchini pieces and that was it. I asked the server where the chicken and matzah ball were and he said oh it's just broth. We also ordered the pastrami tacos for $28 and received 3 mini tacos (two bites each). The service was terrible. We had to walk up to front door to pay our bill and found out they automatically added the gratuity of 20%. There were two of us, not a large party. Never have I had such a poor experience. Can't understand how this place services. I wish I could have video tapped the experience so that everyone could see how bad it was. read more

I recognize the importance of supporting kosher establishments in a place like park city. Such that I spent 350$ on Shabbat food early March 2021. 3 Shabbat meals and three sandwiches for lunch which we were looking forward to enjoy. We were staying in deer valley and were charged an additional 40 Dollars for delivery. The previous day we ordered in on Uber eats from the same restaurant with free delivery although I'm not sure if the Shabbat meals can be purchased through Uber eats. Beyond the disappointment of the food it self and the skimping with the challah rolls 4 for three people and only one "personal Bottle" of grape juice for three people, NO plastic knives, forks or spoons were provided. Such that it was next to impossible to eat the soup and the salads and we had to eat the chicken and brisket with our bare hands and use the challah as our utensils as much as we could (too bad they provided so little) This is beyond an over site and represents a total lack of Derech Eretz. Kosher Bistro claims to offer Shabbat meals service but can't be bothered enough to make sure it's paying costumers can easily eat it. They earned there two stars because the deli sandwiches were good particularly relative to everything else. I hate to be so harsh but I leave this review so Kosher Bistro can improve and that future customers can be more proactive in requesting utensils, and make sure that each individual Shabbat meal ordered comes with two challahs and one personal kiddish grape juice, so the obligation can be fulfilled alone if necessary. read more

After meeting Rabbi Yehudi at a Menorah lighting during Channukah, I really wanted to try his Kosher restaurant. The place has a warm family vibe. Yes it's expensive but then again so are the rents where it's located. I ordered the soup with beef and red beans which came with a fried cracker and salsa and tasted absolutely delicious. Next I had the hummus platewhich came beautifully presented with red onion . For dessert I had the chocolate halva with a delicate homemade pastry wrap. I wish I could have afforded more. I think I was the only non Jew attending that night but I encourage everyone to try this place. I am excited to write this reviewand would like to give this place a good shout out. The Rabbi is Chabad which translates to brotherly love and that's what I experienced at this restaurant along with some delicious food. read more

This place is simply horrible. I ordered the chicken soup. If you could find them, you could fit all of the vegetables into a teaspoon. The matzah ball tasted like sawdust, and everything was cold. Intending to play it safe, I also ordered a turkey sandwich with lettuce and tomato. That is hard to screw up, but they succeeded. There was one piece of brown lettuce, smaller than the slice of stale bread, one slice of an old tomato, one slice of see-through and tasteless turkey, and anther slice of stale bread. The tasteless fries had definitely been frozen. All of that "goodness" cost $35 plus tip. I could have had a better meal and nicer tableware at a 7-11 for $6. Run, don't walk from this place. it is an embarrassment to Vail. read more

Let's start by saying the staff is quite nice but not exactly attentive. The prices are truly ridiculous captive Canyons pricing and makes LA look like a cheap place to eat. Was excited to try Kosher food in Park City but this place is mediocre at best. The portions are tiny and the food is plain for the exorbitant prices that they charge. A turkey sandwich is made from circular slices of turkey that you get from the grocery store. The chef's salad is a shallow bowl of lettuce with a few chopped up eggs. Only 1 sandwich for the table came with ketchup for the fries. Asked for more ketchup twice, was acknowledged each time and never got it. The water cups are literally a third the size of what you would get at any other restaurant and we were never given a pitcher. Save yourself money and do your own meal prep. read more

My husband and I came to Utah to ski, we are staying near Salt Lake City but decided to drive to Park city to have a nice kosher meal. We were very happy with the quality of the food, the server was very nice and pleasant. I highly recommend the Reuben sandwich, the buffalo chicken and I had the salmon salad. I deliberated for 2 weeks to determine how many stars to grade here! I flew to Park City with a couple of friends who are strictly Kosher, and we ate at the Bistro twice during our stay. While I agree with the previous 3 Yelpers that the food isn't quite up to snuff, they must bear in mind the circumstances that bring about these results. For many strictly kosher skiers that love better skiing, they are facing "an uphill battle". Being in the middle of the country and not having the luxury of being on the coasts where there are a plethora of Kosher dining choices, a few daring individuals rolled the dice and opened this place called Bistro @ the Canyons. Without any of the ritual slaughter houses nearby getting strictly Kosher food is hard almost impossible. With that in mind, I believe that while this place is definitely a work in progress where the good outweighs (barely) the bad. The first night we went there, we each ordered the soup sampler (four soups in total) 3 out the 4 soups were cold and not edible. The 4th soup was tasty and delicious but room temperature (not by design). For the main I got the Bistro burger. It was served on a delicious bun with a fantastic burger inside! I got the hot chocolate chip cookies and milk for dessert, which were warm and tasty. The next night there, I got the pastrami sandwich with extra pastrami and it was hot and thick slices, all in all a great meal! The waitresses seem to be imported from South America, they are friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The manager on the other hand, was rude and arrogant BOTH NIGHTS. One might suggest that the restaurant was bursting at the seams and he didn't have time to be troubled by mere tourists.... The opposite is the truth. WE WERE THE ONLY PEOPLE IN THE RESTAURANT! All in all, there is a void of Kosher eateries in Utah, and this certainly fills that void, if they could just get new management and tweak the menu I would definitely go back! read more

I'm not even sure where to begin. Everything is so sad and wrong with this Resturant that I can only hope someone that owns this place will read this and try to turn it around. Until that day comes, PLEASE do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Lets start with the fact that my friend called over a month ago to make a reservation for New Years Eve. She ordered a gluten free cake and she spoke with the manager. When she called day of, they had no record of the reservation and never made the cake. The manager simply said, I remember but didn't do it, something like that. Then the service, OMG. these poor kids trying to work here we clueless. They didn't know the menu. Don't have any idea what Kosher means. He actually told our party they couldn't serve iced tea because it "hadn't been blessed by the Rabbi". The food was awful. My son actually said his kids meal ( his second try after he sent back over cooked chicken fingers) tasted like "poison". If you keep Kosher and come to Park City please know this place needs help. We don't keep kosher but some in our party eat kosher style and we thought this could be a nice meal. NOT. read more

Ignore all the negative reviews from years ago. This place is awesome with the most friendly folks around. Supervision is excellent with a Mashgiach on premises. All the food is beyond expectation with excellent taste and presentation. Loved the soup and dinner meal. Hope you support this the only TRUE KOSHER RESTAURANT in Utah:) read more

We are all glad we "took a chance" after reading some if the reviews on yelp. Although a bit skeptic, we went there with entire family during the yeshiva winter break. We were amazed at the delicious food. We all were so happy we came there. The food is excellent !! Service is still a bit slow, which is the reason we gave it 4 stars, but the great food shadows all that. Atmosphere is great and staff is super friendly. The kids loved the corn dogs, and chicken fingers. Me and my wife really enjoyed the brisket and the lamb chops. We also learned that there has been a complete new crew and new management headed by Vail Resorts which explain the high quality food served at Bistro. Great job. Thank you, we loved it. read more

Food is OK (I had their ruben). The only real problem I had was that the online menu is not current, as they no longer have some things on the old (online) menu. If I could give the Bistro 0 stars I would. The only reason to ever eat here is that you keep kosher and don't feel like cooking but even then, there has to be something at the supermarket you can eat. Perhaps it's just dining on Fridays- the Sabbath -that is so awful. I can only hope that the food is better during the rest of the week. First, the service. The staff was friendly and hardworking but slow slow slow. Apparently they were short a couple people and I guess there was no one in the kitchen. It took three and a half hours to get through a prefix meal! Because they can't turn anything on after sundown all of the food was stale, flavorless, and lukewarm. I do believe hospital food and Dennys taste better than what was served tonight at $60 a plate. All five of us were not only grossed out but we left laughing and dumbfounded that a company that could bring you Talisker on Main and The Farm could foul so badly with this spot. Can you dispute charges on your credit card for inedible meals? We should have walked out after the cold Challah and runny babaganoosh but you keep expecting redemption. It never came. read more

This is a dairy free and certified Kosher food, which we didn't realize when we arrived. My boyfriends rib eye was so well done he could not eat it. We sent it back and it came back pretty much the same way. We asked if the rib eye had been frozen before, and the waitress said yes because it was certified Kosher. I guess they have to fly it in and freeze it. It tasted awful. The waitress was excellent and she took it off our bill and also gave us a free dessert. I had the halibut and that was excellent. Just realize before you go that everything is dairy free, so the ice cream I believe was made from soy. read more

How would one ever know that this is a KOSHER place if they dont advertise that fact. I completely understand how difficult it must be to keep kosher in a small place like Park City. My family and I were the only Gentiles in the place and were treated to a horrible meal with rude slow just plain bad service. The owner/manager visited EVERY table in the place but ours. I am from NY and have many friends who keep kosher and I have enjoyed plenty of great kosher meals. But this place flat out stinks. Kosher food or not its just plain bad. read more

After one hour of no food, the manager came over and asked if it was our family name, when we confirmed he said, "you bullied me into giving you a table, at least you got a table". Glad I didn't read the earlier reviews or I may not have tried the Bistro. My hubby and I dined there last night and the food was fabulous. In fact, it was by far the best quality and best value for the money than any other restaurant on the mountain. We had the beet and arugula salad and it was the best in terms of freshness - with a light and tangy dressing - really wonderful (and split nicely for us)...the Lamb Kufta was to die for and my pastrami sandwich was the best I've ever eaten. All was perfect until the entrees took way too long to arrive - and far too little information about what was going on...bothered my mate way more than me, but a definite downer when all else was good. Wine outrageously pricey but that's pretty much expected. read more

I don't understand the poor reviews. Our server, Michael, was very knowledgeable about the menu. The service was very timely, even though he was the only server for at least 8 tables, several with large parties. The food was delicious. I had the linguini with braised beef. My husband had a burger that he said was extremely flavorful, even without cheese (the restaurant is dairy-free). We also had a smoked salmon rillettes appetizer that was good. My son liked the mini corn dogs. He also said the vanilla ice "cream" tasted as good or better than if it had been made with dairy. The wine list is limited, but we had a nice Zinfandel. We are not Jewish and do not keep Kosher, and we felt very welcomed and had a relaxed meal. The decor is fresh and modern, but cozy. We would return. read more

I don't know how long ago the past reviews were written or even if any positive reviews weren't written by the restaurant staff or owner. But as of Feb 6, 2020, save your money and your stomach and go elsewhere. First, they are no longer associated with the Vail Resort, so don't expect any Vail gift cards to work there. Their menu is basic deli food which is what I was looking forward. I got their special epic burger. It was neither epic nor special. Small plain burger. Came out bloody red rare. I asked the waiter politely to cook the burger medium so the meat is slight pink and not red raw. Now mind you I didn't ask them for a new burger and I didn't expect it. Sure enough, they gave me back my burger that I had previously taken 3 bites. Ok. But the burger was severely charred and I was afraid it didn't really cook through. Sure enough, the middle was still raw. I should've taken pictures. My wife ordered the salmon special. That took over 30 minutes to come out. The restaurant was so so so empty, it shouldn't have taken that long. The salmon was overcooked as i expected. Bland and seasonless. There were 3 signs we ignored and thought maybe it was just a slow night. First, the Google reviews mostly positive, for the most part are a year or 2 years old. Second, we asked a porter at nearby hotel for directions because we got lost walking there. He said it was closed for a long time and thought it wasn't open. Another red flag. We found later, the restaurant reopened with new management. And last but not least, the restaurant had only 2 other tables with patrons when we walked in. Rent can't be that cheap. I don't expect them to stay open that long with food and service the way it is. Don't say I didn't warn you. read more
