We had a lovely meal at Bistro603 last night. It seemed they were possibly training a lot of new staff members, but everyone was polite, attentive, and prompt. We appreciated that the menu was quite upscale for the adults and yet, they accommodated families well with kids menus with crayons and nice drink cups. Families should be able to all enjoy a nice meal out and not have to downgrade their options. We started with the cheesesteak egg rolls with peppercorn dipping sauce. I was expecting them to be pretty pedestrian, but they were melty inside and light and crispy on the outside...and I could have drunk that sauce. My husband had the steak frites with the steak cooked to a perfect mid-rare, as ordered. I enjoyed a rich and sumptuous braised short rib over gnocchi and brussel sprouts in a creamy mushroom sauce. The portions were substantial and I maybe finished 1/3 of my plate and took home the rest. Hubby cleaned his plate though. The wine pairing with my dish was appropriately appointed and the South Side Dime cocktail I started with was both smooth and punchy (if ya know what I mean). Tried this place last night for the 1st time and it was fantastic! Service (Brianna was on point), cocktails, appetizers, and entrees were all great. I ordered the fried oyster burger and it was one of the best I've ever had. My husband got the paella which he loved and the couple we were with loved their poke bowl and Buddha bowl. For apps, we got the steak spring rolls and teriyaki cauliflower. They were both delicious, however, the cauliflower portion was a little on the small side to share with more than 2 people. This was our 3rd visit and last. It was a Sunday night so not many people were there. The music was at a volume that maybe would have been fine if the place was packed. We could hardly talk across the table. We requested that it be turned down a notch so we could hear each other and were told the boss likes it that way because of the metal ceilings make it echo. Was looking forward to trying the Bistro. The place was empty and there was no eye contact from either hostess when we walked in. When they finally acknowledged us they couldn't find our reservation, yet the restaurant was empty so not sure why that mattered. We were seated at a table and the music was insanely loud and we felt like were at a rock concert for breakfast. We left from the volume of the music since we were too tired to yell over the music. My husband and i went here on a whim for an anniversary lunch. We were out shopping nearby and found it on Yelp. I got the poke bowl and he got the short rib tacos. We both just about licked the plate clean! The food was so fresh and delicious. We had a great tabke on their patio area. The server was great...friendly, helpful, quick and attentive. Awesome experience! I was craving a burger, so I decided to give this place a try and placed a to-go order. It may sound simple, but there's a lot that can go wrong with mobile orders. I quickly placed a mobile order on their website, used ApplePay for secure checkout, and then arrived at the restaurant 5 minutes before my estimated pickup time (on a Friday night). My order was sitting on the table next to the hostess station, and I was on my way. No waiting, no confusion, and no mistakes with my order. Much better than a nearby burger chain in terms of both quality and customer experience (and for the same price too). Bistro603 could drive some decent additional revenue simply by advertising their burgers for takeout. The burger was huge, cooked perfectly, and had the right amount of toppings. I'll go for the regular fries next time, as the truffle fries were not my style (still delicious though). I still have enough food leftover for another meal too! Obviously they offer much more than to-go orders, so I'll definitely have to stop in to get the full dine-in experience with others sometime in the near future. I had high hopes for this place and based on our first visit really thought they would do well. Have been here 4 or 5 times since and it's hit or miss. Sometimes the food is good, other times it's not. Have had to send food back for being completely cold in the middle. Other times just didn't eat it because it was not that good or was very bland. Inconsistent food is a killer in this industry. Atmosphere is good and drinks are good. I have never had bad service either. This place was SO good. Food was absolutely amazing, lived up to the scratch kitchen hype. We got the Cubano panini (sandwich was phenomenal, their fries are sooo good) and the corn bowl (forget the name but it was basically a taco bowl! Got it with some veryyy yummy and tender steak. Was so good one afternoon we bopped in but after a few subsequent visits sadly it's very inconsistent in food quality -Truffle fries and desserts seems to be consistent and good but brunch Duck hash good one day Messy and sparse on duck next time I like the place so trip 4 but I had an overpriced at 20 dollars lunch portion fisherman's platter So over fried soggy and crammed in a soup bowl gross to be honest made me feel stomach sick all evening though I only ate a quarter of it -Sadly I probably won't go back -I like the help and the availability of gluten free adjustments. I've been to this restaurant on many occasions and haven't gotten to write a review just yet. The food here is always amazing. Everything is fresh and delicious. I especially love the short rib with gnocchi and the short rib sandwich. I was here most recently this past Wednesday with family and had a wonderful time. The one thing that stood out to me most was the drinks. Bartender Justin, hands down is the best! I had a Carmel apple martini. Something I normally Wouldn't order but my husband ordered for me. He made it perfectly! So delicious! My family all tried a taste. It was also Justin's first time that day making it for a customer since the seasonal menu came out that day. My husband had an old fashioned. He had two. The first one was awesome but he made the second one even better. We came back in October and he made me a fall sangria. Best fall sangria. He recommended the martini on Friday because the fall sangria Woulnt taste as good because the wine that it usually comes with it was not available like it was in October. Atmosphere was more like a Chilis than a Bistro but the portions and pricing definitely were definitely matched as a Bistro. I ordered the scallops with risotto... the presentation was nicely done but the portion was shocking! It was 4oz of risotto and 2 scallops. It was not even a shareable appetizer size let alone a lunch portion and it was $23. The lobster, cognac cream sauce that it was suppose to be served with was forgotten, so I had to flag down the server to request it. The flavor of this dish was amazing! The scallops were pan-seared perfectly! I do recommend their food but just beware not to go there hungry unless you want to add multiple courses to your bill to fill up. read more

We went here on a Friday night to give it a try. They did a really nice job with redecorating the inside of the restaurant. Our service was great, she was friendly and attentive but not over the top. The first thing I noticed was some of the prices of beer. It was $14 for a SpyGlass beer (located literally 2 miles down the road), and many of the other craft beers were over $10. The appetizer we got were the cheesesteak spring rolls, these were really good. I had the short rib entree, the meat was really great but the gnocchi was soggy, and not a great filling texture. My wife had the tacos, which were literally just two tacos. I think for the cost of our meal, we could've eaten at much more upscale places in the area.
