First time visiting. It was recommended by a childhood friend of the owner. I was greeted when I came in and the service was extremely friendly and welcoming. It was mentioned that everything is homemade, except for the "Snack Box." Everything was packed with flavor! I also like that they give back to the community (see attached pics). Thanks for the great food and service...I will definitely be back!

The food was not what I expected. The mac & cheese had no cheese and it was basically noodles, the sweet potato I assumed was candy yams, but it was just mashed sweet potato, and the chicken for some reason tasted like sausage and it did not taste like real jerk chicken. It was just a chicken breast that was grilled. And I'm pretty upset about the sausage taste because now it has me wondering if it was cooked with pork or something and I don't eat pork and it's a pretty strong sausage taste because I can still taste it. I'm really not sure what that is about. It was very disappointing. I really wanted to like this place and I'm sure it has potential but I think they may need a new cook because it was just not it.

Until now, Nashua has never had a good soul food restaurant. After going to college in Tennessee, I grew to love food from the southern US. Since my wife was busy with other things, I decided to drive downtown and try this restaurant. The restaurant is located in the lobby of an office building with ample free parking outside. When you walk inside, you notice the restaurant is very large. They don't seem to have enough tables to fill the room. Although the owner is from Nashua, her grandparents were from Alabama. As a result, she has access to many Alabama recipes that were passed down through the generations. I got there early and the food for later in the day was not yet ready. She offered to pull together an off-menu soul plate especially for me. Around 15 minutes later my food and iced tea was delivered to my table. It consisted of a fried chicken breast, carrots, mashed potatoes and cornbread. The taste was very good, especially the fried chicken. I had a nice chat with the owner's father while I ate. He was at the restaurant helping his daughter with some of the cooking. Overall, this was a great lunch. We plan to return for dinner some night when she has the complete menu of authentic soul food. I can't wait to try the collard greens.

Yum! An off the menu sampler!

I was asked to dj an event at Soel Sistas restaurant for a graduation party. The people were bringing in their own food. I was so sad because I saw so many wonderful reviews. When I told Kendra, the owner, she stated that they were still serving take out and would create an 'off the menu' sampler, since everything sounded so wonderful. Everything was on point! The shrimp and chicken were succulent and delicious! The collared greens were delightful! The macaroni and cheese and corn bread were absolutely wonderful! I've traveled all over the South and can tell you this brought back a lot of memories! I highly recommend anyone who wants to eat food the proper way to go to Soel Sistas!! DJ Dave!!

Do you have inside dinning & do serve buffet style?

Went there for the first time on Friday, they have indoor dining and take out.

Service was good, pleasant and food came from the kitchen promptly. Note that they do not have a full liquor license. We started with the shepherds pie egg rolls, which were quite good. Generous portion and tasty, and an unusual twist on egg roll filling. I had the burger and ordered one with candied bacon which was delicious. I've had better and worse burgers. While the meat patty and toppings were good, the bun was unusual, firm almost hard and frankly not enjoyable. I ate the burger sans bun. Also the fries seemed like they were sitting for a while, a pet peeve of mine. They really need to be fried to order or I won't eat them. If you are going to splurge and eat fries, they have to be good, and sadly these were not. Again, overall we were happy. With a little more attention to detail, this could be a great dining spot.

After stopping at the local (and not good) Newbury Comics location semi-close by in Manchester, we continued on our way until we stumbled across Papa Joe's Humble Kitchen and figured we would give this place a shot for lunch. The outside looked like a side of the road burger joint you would find in New England and the inside matched it perfectly. This isn't exclusively a burger place, but the menu does revolve around burgers and sandwiches and I just had to give the specialty a try, The Full of Bologna Burger! As someone who really likes burgers and also likes bologna, this was a no brainer and it was pretty dang good if I do say so myself. The bologna and the beef mixed pretty well together and the french fries I had on the side were pretty good as well. Overall, Papa Joe's Humble Kitchen is a fun roadside restaurant that's definitely worth trying if you are in the area. The staff here were friendly, the restaurant itself is small and charming, and the food is on the cheaper side, greasy, and tastes dang good. Will I be back? Probably not since I don't even know where Milford, NH is, but I sure would recommend this place to those looking for a solid lunch in Southern New Hampshrie!

Good palate cleanser. -- Buffalo Wings: Slightly crisp, slightly moist, and lightly covered with a mild and tangy take on Buffalo. Good blue cheese to add a little more body. Not particularly spicy, but very doable. -- Kale Caesar Salad: It looks a little like airline food with the tiny low end croutons, but this was a top notch salad with fresh tasting vegetation and a zesty, creamy dressing, elevated by generous sprinklings of Parmesan. Tasty stuff and a surprisingly good foil for beer. -- Vegan Chorizo Tacos: You get three to an order, so I was sure I'd wind up tasting one for assessment when my wife got full after two. Good beer, good enough food, and exceptionally good atmosphere and staff make this a relaxing hang and a perfect oasis for husbands who don't want to endure nearby Costco.

What we liked most about our experience was the hospitality and kindness all their staff embodied. They had been cooking and/or standing out in the sun all day long and despite that, they delivered food with a smile, answered all questions customers had when placing or collecting their food, and made sure you left happy. I ordered their smashburger but my friend got a side of their loaded fries so I was able to try that too. We waited about 15 minutes for our food, and then tried to find a spot along the beach wall. The burger was very tasty. The ingredients tasted very fresh, the patty was tender, and the maple bacon onion jam gave it a subtle sweet flavor. I wish I would've asked for more of the roasted garlic aioli, both for the burger and the fries. The fries were all really good, and here is where I really had the opportunity to taste the jam on its own. For a dipping sauce I combined a little bit of all their condiments they had - ketchup, mustard, mayo, and relish. For a food truck at a popular event, we thought the prices were fair.

I am in a wheelchair and the staff must have seen us coming as ChrisAnn (unsure of spelling) greeted us and assisted us (husband and I) with the doors (which are not automatic) and, as we entered, stated that she already set us up at the first table, which I found to be above and beyond the typical service of any establishment. The menus were already at the table and a chair removed, to make space for my wheelchair. Both of us ordered the steak tips and eggs, which we both enjoyed, cooked exactly as ordered, and as tasty as one can expect. Husband had his with hash browns (?) [pan-fried potato chunks] & toast; mine with grilled English muffin and a side of baked beans. What I really like was the plating, such that none of the food items ran together, that is, the beans were in a small dish separate from the eggs and English and the steak was on a separate small plate, making it easier to cut (without bumping up against other foods). When our son was a young child, we referred to this as "no-touch-atarian" as he really disliked his foods touching one another. Now, some 30+ years later, I have to agree that some food items are just best as stand-alone items. I would have given a full 5 star rating except that I tend to be slightly more critical with my assessments as they relate to accessibility. The parking lot could use a repainting as the lines and handicapped parking symbols were barely visible. They have a ramp to the entrance but, without automatic doors, it can cause difficulties at the top as there is no level area at the top to allow one to stop and prevent the chair from rolling backwards to allow one to open the door. I have a care giver that gets me in and out, so it is not a huge barrier for me personally but I can see it being difficult for more independent wheelchair users. Access to the restroom is a bit awkward but not impossible And the staff helped with that as well.
