Orlando~ I am so sad that I have to update my FORMERLY 5 star review. We haven't eaten here since we did the private scotch tasting dinner, so this was a night out for a "regular menu" dinner. Unfortunately, there was no regular menu, because they had magical dining and there was only one other item that we could've had besides the magical dining entrées. We each chose a different appetizer, different entrée, and different dessert so we could try each other's food. Nick, at the door, was a pleasure. That's where the service ended. Our server was a very sad looking older gentleman with long fingernails. He honestly could not have cared less whether we had refilled waters, more drinks, or even if we liked our food or not. The service was definitely not up to par last night. I had the smoked fish dip, and the hubby had deviled eggs. The smoked fish dip was delicious, but I could've used another slice of the "dried out"sourdough bread, because I had too much dip and not enough bread to spread the dip on. I mentioned this to the server and he just looked at me. Didn't offer to get me another slice of bread, nothing but a blank stare. Hubs had the deviled eggs, which were too overly sweet. We got one and a half eggs. Kind of laughable. Both of us got different Magical Dining entrées, but neither of us were excited about them because that's not what we were looking for. We were looking for a regular menu with maybe steaks, a chicken dish, or a seafood item. There were no salads, no soups, no nothing on the menu. Unless we missed something??? We were not even offered bread and butter. The only bread and butter offered on the menu was Ryan's butter candle, and bread for $18. I chose duck for my entrée because it was the most desirable out of the three that I had to choose from. I asked our server if anything came with the duck besides the stuffing and relish. I asked if maybe there was a vegetable. He said the only thing that will be coming with it besides, those two items is mashed potatoes and gravy. I said OK. Didn't offer to add on a vegetable for an extra charge. Nada. My husband got the Spaghetti Bolognese. Again, not something he wanted, but with the only other options, he was kind of stuck with it. (There was a burger on the regular menu, but we were trying to have a nice meal out and not a hamburger meal.) Both of our entrées left something to be desired. His pasta was overcooked and sticky. My duck was definitely not crispy, it was a teeny little piece of a leg with a bone. I had my husband taste the stuffing to confirm my thoughts that it was Stovetop Stuffing. He confirmed that it was indeed, Stovetop Stuffing. There were no mashed potatoes and when I asked our server about it, he just shrugged and said I guess they didn't put them on this evening. No offer to bring them out for me. Nada. He didn't even notice that we didn't eat half of our food either. Never asked us how our meal was. Nothing. Never asked my husband if he wanted another beer. We had to call him over just to give us some more water. Our desserts were as unremarkable as the food. I'm so sad because I wanted to impress my husband and go out for a really nice evening. This totally missed the mark. My husband even had a huge bolt fall out of his chair, and I handed it to one of the bus boys. Thankfully, the chair did not fall apart, but it looked like it was about to. The upholstery is extremely rough and should be replaced. I had really high hopes for this place but I don't believe we will be back.
The only drawback about bites and bubbles is that it doesn't have enough seating inside. And me, knowing that I made my reservation for when they opened at 5 o'clock, just in case of rain And of course it was raining. Luckily there were two seats at the bar and my hubby and I were able to sit there and have our magical dining meal. Our server Diana was fabulous. Our food was top-notch from the butter lantern, almond crusted fried goat cheese, Escargot in a brandy mustard sauce, Lobster, cod, shrimp and bay scallop bake in a Cajun butter sauce, The Duck Confit w/ country stuffing and gravy, to the chocolate espresso pot de crème and the mixed berry cheesecake. Beautiful ambience. Great little Gem on Mills! Will definitely be back.
Sunday brunch at a new spot. I have been seeing a lot of positive things about Bites & Bubbles so we decided to check it out. There are a few different spots you can sit depending on what you want your experience to be. We were sat in the patio downstairs under a giant umbrella. You can also choose to sit inside or even upstairs at the roof top bar. Our server was Timothy, he was very lovely and attentive. We started with a bottle of bubbly and were given the option to have different juices to go with our bottle. Each juice was served in an individual decanter. We started with the butter lantern from Parlor Kitchen. It was served with a bagel, a muffin and some toast. It was a beautiful display and delicious. (Shout out to Parlor Kitchen). We also started with the fried goat cheese. It was served on toast with blueberries, tomatoes and jam. Very delicious. I selected the blueberry pancakes from the brunch menu. It was a large stack of three pancakes with blueberries baked in and on top. Complimented with some butter lantern and syrup, they were fluffy and delicious. The menu had some really nice selections so I will definitely return another day. I want to try the duck fat burger at some point, which is their wow feature. Great place to visit. If you do reserve on Open Table, be prepared to enter your credit card to hold the reservation.
Reservations required. The restaurant has a cozy, intimate, romantic I'd say European style vibe- maybe the decor, dimly lit. The first floor has a bar with dining area and patio area. The second floor has a cute covered roof top patio with bar and dining area- which makes it more lively. We sat on the rooftop patio. The service was great as well as the food. The menu is carefully curated and it changes often- we were told it may differ week to week. I think it's a good spot for date or night out with friends.
This is a very cute place in an unexpected location. Plenty of parking due to the other businesses around it, including a grocery store. Next time I hope to check out the rooftop but even the downstairs bar area was very nice. Staff was excellent, very attentive without feeling hovery, my party ordered burgers, Asian chicken, drinks, key lime pie, and chocolate lace cake. All were good. The smash burgers did arrive pretty undercooked but the waiter was quick to replace them and second round was perfect. They are inKind which is a big plus for me!
We made a reservation for 8:30, but arrived at 8:15 and were seated right away. Since the restaurant closes at 9, they weren't too busy, which was nice. We had a nice table right by the patio and were able to enjoy looking outside as well as inside the restaurant. Our waiter, John, greeted us quickly after we sat down and brought us water and menus. I ended up ordering a mocktail that had ginger beer, grapefruit juice, and jalapeno and it was so delicious. The bite from the ginger with the kick from the jalapeno really hit the spot. I ordered from the Bite30 menu and started with the Fried Goat Cheese. I get the goat cheese literally everytime I come here. It is divine and the citrus from the tomato salad complements it really well. For my entree, I ordered the Ahi Tuna Stack. With how hot is has been recently, it was so light and refreshing. I was pleasantly surprised by how much tuna came with it. I ended with the Chocolate Cake. I was only able to eat a couple bites before boxing it up, but it was incredible. The whip cream was my favorite part. The entire time we were there, John was attentive and fun. He seemed genuinely happy to be there and his energy was infectious. I never go out with a purse but for some reason I had one with me tonight and I didn't even realize that I left the restaurant without it. We got to our car and started driving through the parking lot to leave and John chased us down and brought me my purse. John, thank you!
All the employees here were wonderful and knowledgeable. Loved the decor with the light up present door frame and glowing wreath. Nice heaters thoughout the upstairs area. Cool firepit table outside with rooftop views Pretty condensed menu so was expecting that the few times they do have must mean they do them pretty well. Only 6 main plates entrees, 8 apps choices, caviar, cheeses and desserts Got the escargot with a brandy mustard cream sauce that was very tasty but a tad salty and the super tender beef short rib with my favorites purple carrots and divine mashed potatoes The Triangle Martini sample of 3 different gin martinis, no vodka substitutes, in 3 super cute perfectly sized martini glasses came with citrus, lavender and pickle flavors Great place for some delicious food and superb cocktails!
Just WOW to Bites & Bubbles. What a cozy and inviting setting, friendly staff, all around good ambiance. Now I must say we will be back because we fell in love with the escargot dish! Not your traditional escargot with garlic/wine and a very small amount. The escargot set in a brandy mustard crème sauce with small tender bits of veggies and double the amount of escargot- some lovely sourdough Italian bread. We followed this with a large charcuterie board. Holy cow was it big!! Assortment of delicious cheeses, meats, dips, bread and a little tasty dessert. Quality was amazing all around. I highly recommend checking out Bites & Bubbles.
Absolutely a fun and enjoyable Magical Dining experience! The ambiance was amazing on the rooftop lounge, and the food was perfection. We made our reservation for 8:30pm and we were greeted warmly by "Bubbles" when we arrived. Although I had requested patio seating, we asked if we could "take a peek" at the rooftop lounge area. Bubbles led us up to the second level and stated if a table was available, we could choose to sit there instead. Once we saw the beautiful and spacious setting, we knew this was the place we wanted to spend the evening. As luck would have it, a table was available, and we happily took it. Our server was Jeff, and he made a major contribution to this five-star review (along with the food!) He explained the menu, discussed recommendations, answered our questions and checked on us throughout the evening. He even provided fun banter throughout as we relished our 2-hour plus dining experience. We both ordered the mussels to start and they were beyond amazing. They were plentiful, too. In fact, this appetizer could easily feed two people. The brandy mustard creme sauce was the pinnacle of flavor that made this dish stand out! So glad this selection came with a nice slice of bread to soak up that sauce. For the main course, my friend ordered the lamb shank (which fell off the bone; the cumin tomato sauce gave it a nice kick) and I ordered the beef bourguignon (which was absolutely delicious). We shared our entrees and exclaimed how perfect both dishes were. Each entree was also accompanied by tasty root vegetables and mashed potatoes. We were both pretty full before the dessert came out, but we heard so many people compliment the key lime pie, we had to select it. It was one of the best key lime pies we both have tasted, tart and sweet in a perfect combination. The cookie on top was a nice touch, also. Not to be forgotten, we both ordered The Martini Triangle for our drink selection. It consisted of three miniature gin martinis, each with its own distinctive craft style. The trio included a citrus-forward item, a lavender infused selection and salty pickle brine component that to both of our surprise was really quite good as well as interesting. We left Bites and Bubbles in perfect contentment. Bubbles once again met us at the door, inquired on how the evening went and was the perfect host. We thanked him and Jeff for such an incredible evening and told him we look forward to seeing them again. There are ten more days of Magical Dining to truly experience a magical event, and I highly recommend you make a reservation to acquaint yourself to this dining achievement.
When the Magical Dining menus came out this past summer, I vetted every single one of them, and Bites & Bubbles easily was in the top six of menus. I had never been before, so I was doubley excited about finally getting to check the place out. Ambiance was very nice. I strode past the cozy, intimate dining room, and went up the stairs to a snazzy little rooftop dining patio. Tables spaced apart to give you plenty of privacy, a nice view out over the Mills 50 area, and a large covered roof to shield you from sun and rain. I really enjoyed the ambiance. Service was excellent. Our guy was incredibly attentive, checked in after we had a few bites, kept the drinks coming, just awesome service. No issues there. Now for the food. The menu looked like a banger, and it Was a banger. Apps Fried Goat Cheese (panko and almond crusted goat cheese, roasted tomatoes, fruit salsa, warm bread). Breading around the goat was impeccable with a very satisfying crunch. The roasted tomato goo on top was very acidic to balance out the very tangy goat. Perfectly paired. Very refined app. Big fan. Escargot (escargot, brandy mustard crème sauce, garlic. escargot... our way). Hands down the most snails I have ever seen in an escargot dish. Very generous! The creme sauce was wonderfully garlicky and was excellent to sop up with the bread on the table. The decorative shells were also a really fun way to eat with your eyes first. Mains Seafood Diablo (homemade squid ink pappardelle pasta, shrimp, bay scallops, mussels, spicy tomato garlic sauce, bread). Wow, these were some wide noodles! At least an inch wide. Very fun. Huge shrimp were cooked well, plentiful bay scallops, well cooked mussels, and a bonus clam I wasn't expecting. The sauce was zingy, but not too spicy, just delicious, so don't worry, if you're afraid of spicy. Duck Confit (confit duck leg & thigh, country stuffing, duck gravy, mashed potatoes, cranberry relish). Thanksgiving dinner, but with a major upgrade at the protein position. Fall off the bone duck, chunky, flavorful stuffing, great mash, and a just-sweet-enough relish to really make this plate pure nostalgia. Desserts Key Lime Pie (traditional key lime pie, whipped cream). A great KLP. Not too tart, and not too sweet, so I suspect that real Key Limes were used. A nice little crust with some bite. A real winner. Tiramisu (espresso lady fingers, sweet & creamy mascarpone, cocoa powder). This was mostly good. The lady fingers were soaked to the point where they were just too soft to barely notice. Sweetness and cocoa powered flavors. Good, not excellent, but probably still way better than the generic fudge cake. Overall, this was my second Magical Dining restaurant of the season, and it is so far winning the competition for best meal. I was really surprised, and I will be coming back for more!
Pros: Bites & Bubbles participated in Magical Dining Month this year, and I love that. I always go to as many participating restaurants as I can, to support those to support our city. Ambiance was gorgeous. We sat on the roof, overlooking Mills 50 on a gorgeous summer night. Very comfortable chairs, too. Service was perfect. He was very attentive and kept the drinks coming. The food also came out at a steady pace. Food was amazing. Six stars. Everything was cooked well, the portions were hearty, and the items were unique. Cons: Not a single con. All the wasted years beforehand of not coming here is the only con I can see. Tips: Get the Magical Dining. Get the goat cheese, the duck leg, and the Key lime pie. Amazing, amazing dishes.
One word: wow. We had a wow-worthy dinner at Bites and Bubbles. We came for Magical Dining, shared a reasonably priced bottle of cabernet, and enjoyed a delicious meal on their spacious covered outdoor patio. I started with the escargot, but this was no ordinary preparation. It came smothered in a creamy mustard sauce and the portion was absolutely generous. For dinner, I chose the duck confit. The meat slid right off the bone and reminded me of a Thanksgiving feast, only elevated to something far more refined. It was served with mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, and cranberry sauce. I will be thinking about that dish for a long time. To finish, I had the chocolate cake. Two slices, a cherry on top, and just the right amount of indulgence to complete the evening. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the night. Do yourself a favor and go. You will have a wonderful evening filled with wonderful food and great service.
Wow, considering the season Bites & Bubbles certainly impresses. From the moment we walked in, the decor and even the food was Halloween/Fall themed. We sat on the 2nd floor which is entirely outside and lucky for us it did not rain. The Magical Dining menu was amazing: Escargot - unique take with savory sauce and scrumptious bread to pair. Fried Goat Cheese - cool presentation with really tasty fruit salsa. The goat cheese was rich with flavor. Lamb shank - lamb that melted off the bone paired with a very classic fall themed carrots and green beans + delicious mashed potatoes. Duck Confit - reminded me of Thanksgiving meals with the country stuffing, duck gravy, cranberry relish. Tiramisu - very good mascarpone Chocolate Fudge Cake - definitely recommend this it was huge. The double layer cake was paired with a very candy corn on the side and a "bloody" sauce. Very delish! The service was amazing, super attentive. The pacing of the food was also great.
First time here and just came for drinks, but really enjoyed it! First off it smells delicious inside, so I'll definitely be back to eat! I had a pineapple you're upside down and it was great, sweet with a bit of a kick at the end! Service was great and I loved the decor. Can't wait to be back for food! read more
I've dined at Bites & Bubbles multiple times in the past, but this was my first time coming in for dinner at their new location. If you've been to their old location and have yet to visit this one - You'll be pleased to know that it's a huge improvement! Parking is now convenient, the dining space is roomier & the decor is more inviting. The recent enhancements they've made make for an elevated and more enjoyable experience. My boyfriend and I made dinner reservations for 7:30 and were promptly seated at a table near the bar (initially I had requested to sit upstairs, but was not aware that it was outside - So be aware of this before you're guided up the staircase with the impression that you're being lead to a second-level dining room). No biggie though because I'm looking forward to returning for a rooftop experience (it was nicely lit, quaint & cozy) in the future when the next cold front arrives. George was our server for the evening and was very accommodating when we requested two samples from their "wine by the glass"' selection (we were torn between Annabella - a red blend & Conundrum - a cabernet). We ended up ordering a bottle of Conundrum (if you're a big fan of cabs, trust me - this will be your go-to at this restaurant). For appetizers, we went with the beet salad & butternut squash bisque. The beet salad was so fresh and had a delicious combination of ingredients that blended perfectly (butter beans and marinated onions were a yummy addition). My boyfriend and I agreed that the butternut squash bisque was the best we've ever had. It was decadent, flavorful and basically the closest thing you'll ever get to "fall in a bowl". For our entree, we ordered a charcuterie board and added two cheeses to share. Our jaws pretty much dropped on the table when it was set down and we glared at each other with looks that read "How are we going to finish this all?!" Yes, it's a bit pricy but the portions were massive and more than generous. Our favorites included the pepper coated salami, the assortment of sausages and the coastal mature cheddar. The fresh fruit garnished on the cheese board was a very thoughtful touch that most restaurants that offer cheese boards overlook. If you're searching for a restaurant with an intimate ambiance for a date night that offers an extensive wine list, friendly service and the most impressive charcuterie board you're likely to ever find in the Orlando area, Bites & Bubbles will be sure to land a high spot on your list. read more
I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED everything about Bites & Bubbles. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the service is the best. Our waiter (George) was attentive and gave excellent input that elevated our dining experience. I started with the escargot and it was delicious. It is made with a brandy mustard creme sauce and came with a puff pastry that I used to soak up the amazing sauce with. My entree was the Beef Bourguignon and it was the best that I have had. I ended with the molten chocolate cake. It was served warm with a side of vanilla ice cream. It was the perfect ending to an amazing meal. read more

What a quaint local wine bar hidden among the Mills 50 area restaurants. I expected the wine and champagne to be wonderful but I wasn't expecting the food to be so amazing too! The restaurant is French inspired small plates, cheese, and charcuterie, offering an extensive wine and, of course, champagne list. They do have a small section of their menu showcasing about 5-6 full meals if that's more your style though. The snails were hands down my favorite of the night. They were absolutely the best snails I've ever had (and even my dad, who doesn't normally like them, couldn't stop coming back for more). No masking the snails inside puff pastry, these bad boys starred on their own, in a rich, creamy, flavorful butter broth. They were meaty and tender, juicy and mouth-watering. We tried a double Gloucester, which was like a jacked up version of cheddar, with chive and onion inside the cheese. So creamy and delicious. The Coquilles St. Jacques is one of their signature items. Bay scallops cooked in a cast iron skillet with mushrooms and a creamy herb sauce. The scallops were cooked perfectly and the sauce was divine. I used my extra bread to soak it all up. We finally decided to split a main entree just to try. Went with the duck breast. This was my least favorite of the night but it was still really yummy which is saying a lot about the food there. The duck was cooked perfectly and the bread stuffing it came with was addicting. Not a fan of the bland lentils and asparagus that accompanied it though. The meal ended with complimentary macarons for each of us which was a nice surprise and personal touch. The whole night I felt very attended too. The owner even came over and talked to us at one point. Definitely a place that will make you feel at home and serves up delicious wine and food in a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. read more

This restaurant has been on my list for a couple years now, especially since it first popped up in Magical Dining Month's menu. I kept putting it off, but finally decided to give it a try this year, and I'm upset I put it off for so long. I've seen photos and raves about this place and now I can see why. It's a tiny little restaurant that doesn't have a lot of seating, especially because of COVID. We made reservations and got availability a little later in the evening but it was well worth it. Their servers did an exceptional job keeping track of their tables and explaining their menu. We, of course, ordered off their magical dining menu. The one item that stood out to me on their list was their seafood tower and I'm so glad I got it. It ranged from shrimp, oysters, crab, all fresh seafood. The other's that didn't order it wished they did. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant for a fancier dinner/date night. They have a nice unique menu that won't disappoint. read more
5 stars for delicious food and amazing service. This place is a little gem! We came for magical dining and we were blown away. First of all, the goat cheese appetizer was the best fried goat cheese I've ever had. The plate was perfectly balanced and it was a pretty large portion. The escargot was also fantastic and perfectly cooked. For our main courses we got the seafood tower and the manicotti. WOW! That seafood tower was impressive. It came with oysters, mussels, snow crab, a mini lobster roll, crawfish, tuna tartar and ika salad. The manicotti was fresh and super cheesy and definitely hit the spot. We finished dinner with the warm chocolate cake and the berry creme. I'm not a huge fan of chocolate but that cake was something else. I kept stealing bites from my boyfriends plate. Our waiter George was super friendly and gave us some great suggestions. Also I'm not a huge wine fan, although they have a pretty spectacular wine menu. They also have a great local beer list. ;) This is a cute little restaurant delivering HUGE flavor. They also have some great music! read more

This was my first time dining in the restaurant and had a great experience overall. We ordered off of the magical dining menu along with an additional appetizer. Appetizers - The escargot was phenomenal! The rich sauce along with the flaky puff pastry was an excellent combo. The fried goat cheese spread on the crostini with a little mango chutney was *chefs kiss*. Entree - The lamb meatballs were very flavorful. I ordered bread service to soak up the rest of the tomato sauce. The beef short ribs were so tender and reminded me of a Christmas beef roast. Very homey. The service was quick and there's nothing like having dinner on a roof top. The cocktails are a bit on the pricey side, but they were delicious. Great experience, but will most likely only be back for appetizers or during magical dining. read more

If you don't go to this place during Magical Dining, you are missing out big time. I mean, that applies to any other time, but yeah. Don't skip this one. The place is small, so reservations may be hard to come by. But so worth it. We sat at the bar and enjoyed chatting with the co-owner, who was both attentive and funny. For appetizers, we had the escargot and pate. The escargot was different from the usual garlic butter preparation I've come to expect. Really enjoyed them in the cream sauce with the puff pastry! The pate was delicious as well. Both appetizers were large and could have easily fed both of us. For mains, you HAVE to get the seafood tower. It's such an amazing variety of fresh seafood and so much food. The beef bourguignon was also excellent and served in the cutest little pot. I ended up having to take part of it home and the next day I had the best lunch ever. Dessert was bananas foster and we tore through them, despite being quite full. Boozy and sweet, a perfect combination. Looking forward to coming back! read more

Our first time going was on a random Monday night and we were surprised to see how packed the place was and remained that way until we left. Granted, there are only a few tables in the restaurant but all were full and even our party had to share a larger table with another party. With that said, it made for slow service. There was only 1 server who also was the bartender and I believe there was only 1 cook in the kitchen as well. We ordered 3 French onion soups, 3 escargots, and the raclette potatoes. We ordered the raclette potatoes first as an app but I think our server forgot to put the order it because we didn't get it until the end and it wasn't until after we asked about where they were. It was the only dish we were excited to try! Unfortunately, it was a little underwhelming once we received it. I think our server might need to brush up on her warming and scraping skills because it did not melt and fall off the way it should have. We also had to ask for more cheese too because it did not cover the potatoes either. The escargot was good and served in a puff pastry which was different than how I've had it before where it's in a special bowl with little cut-outs for each snail. The French onion soup was also decent but a little too salty. Everything we ate was really rich and neither of us finished our meal which was fine because we took leftovers. The ambiance is chic and they do have a nice cocktail menu. If I went again, it'd probably be for the champs. Or maybe the caviar as we didn't order any this go round. read more
This was a complete surprise as to how much we loved it. It's the same tiny intimate location that was Funky Monkey but with a whole new feel. It's only about 8 tables plus the nice long bar top so if it's important to you to have a table , make a reservation. We did all appetizers and they were all stellar. The caviar presentation was so beautiful and surprising. We felt very fancy . But the oysters were so nice as was the charcuterie. They have a cool raclette cheese potato dish they do tableside. It was tasty that we we went and bought raclette cheese at Luckys the next day. They have a nice wine list. The servic, Jess, was nice and friendly. Nick the owner was fun to meet. I highly recommend this restaurant. Great for a date. Great for a group . Just great ! read more

Great new location love the vibe here Had the pate sampler and it was excellent same with the French onion soup. The escargot was not a winner for me I prefer the type with garlic butter and these were in an overpowering thick gravy and a hard rock for the puff pastry. They did give a lot of snails though. Tried caviar for the first time and it was fantastic read more

I don't know why it took me so long to try Bites & Bubbles. We went for Magical Dining and was very impressed. I had the fried goat cheese which was such a wonderful mix of sweet and savory. My main dish was the seafood platter that had a lobster roll, oysters, shrimp and a snow crab claw. The seafood was very fresh and flavorful. For dessert I had the bananas foster that was served with a chocolate covered banana. I will be going back to try the regular menu and looking forward to it!! read more

This place looks like a hole in the wall but when you go inside it is very fancy! I ordered the seafood tower and it was definitely a tower!!!! There was so much seafood on this tower. I also got the fig and honey cheese board. That was wonderful! It was more of a dessert than an appetizer so next time I come I will save it for the end. Service was also great. Went for a group date night as we've heard great things about this place when it was previously at a smaller location. Overall the place is great, super cute ambiance, servers and staff very friendly and had a good vibe. The menu is extremely limited. If you don't like cheese, charcuterie boards and 4 dinner entree options then you are kind of gonna struggle with the menu! There were 4 of us and we got all the entrees! The c-board was good, but wasn't very impressive and the cheese was only 2 slices. I actually got the salmon bites which came with rice and veggies. It was very flavorful and the salmon was a big portion and cooked great! Burger great! Steak was ok. It was cooked well and most like sou vide, but no char marks and a little chewy. We also got the lobster skewers, which were nothing to run back for! Overall it was a good spot, but we most likely wouldn't return due to the limited Menu! read more

This is such a pretty, intimate space. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas in a classic, ornate style. We happened in here without really knowing anything about it and were at first shocked by the prices, expecting a more cost effective evening, in line with other restaurants in the area. However, once we had the food, we decided it was completely worth it! Our favorite was the goat cheese--incredibly smooth and creamy and not at all "goaty". It was mildly sweet, due to the fruit, so would make a good dessert, too. We also had the pate, which my husband greatly enjoyed but I didn't care for (not a big fan of pate) and the olive tapenade, which I preferred but my husband was less a fan of. The tapenade was very garlicky, though, so be warned (I could taste it after two tooth brushings!). The portions were all decent sized and came with delicious assortments of bread, too, so we were quite full with the three plates (although, we had already had appetizers elsewhere). We shared a split of sparkling rose, which was slightly less than a glass each, a good portion if you just want a sip. The service was also impeccable and very friendly. We will be back for sure and are looking forward to saving room for dessert, since their dessert menu looked fabulous! read more

The place seemed very nice, good decor, and even had a good vibe going, especially for New Years eve. We did the special dinner which was $79/person and it was awful. The food offered for that price was horrible. Drinks were great but I doubt I will ever return because of how bad the food was, especially for such a special night with what was charged. read more

I really have mixed feelings about this place. First the good. The craft cocktails are really good. My favorite is The City Beautiful, which is a grapefruit gin spin on an Old Fashioned. It goes down easy and is tasty. I also like the escargots. They give you a nice pastry on the side to get every drop of the sauce. They used to have a duck fat burger, which was probably one of the best burgers in Orlando, but the last time we were there it wasn't on the menu. Now the "bad", or rather, areas I wish they would take into consideration. The prices are a bit high for what you get. It's priced as fine dining but it's more of a bistro. Given the location I am guessing they're trying to attract people who don't mind dropping $100/person with 1 or 2 drinks, but for a splurge night this would not be at the top of my list. Service is hit or miss. The last time we were there, we were celebrating a birthday with friends and were forgotten so many times. All of our food did not come out at the same time, rather 10 minutes apart, which was awkward. We also asked for bananas foster to share at the table and it was almost like we were asking for something against the rules. When it finally showed up at the table it was not the usual bananas foster, but cake with ice cream. Just odd. Not sure if we will be back. Cute place, good drinks, some nice menu options, but too pricey to take chances on spotty service and menu items that don't match the description. Side note: server seemed intimidated by the kitchen when asked to make modifications due to allergies. read more

Fantastic place that I never knew existed. This small in the wall place is amazing. The staff are super friendly and helped us pick some sweet wine that we were interested in. We ended having a house made sangria which was amazing and just right. My friend and I ordered the escargot as part of the magical dining menu while my other friend ordered the French onion soup. The soup was piping hot and super fresh served with bread covered in cheese. Needless to say it was delicious. The escargots were fantastic, already pulled from the shells and accompanied by a nice puff pastry we were so happy with it's nice buttery garlic and spiced sauce perfect for dunking the pastry. Our server highly recommended the beef bourguignon which did not disappoint. The beef has been stewed for a long time and is fork tender served with a variety of root vegetables and a buttery sweet cornbread. Just to be different I ordered the lobster macaroni and cheese and man was it good. With some toasted breadcrumbs on top the lobster meat is mostly on the top but the cheesy sauce was fantastic. We somehow were able to eat dessert which was the pecan pie with vanilla ice cream on the side. Nice and warm it melted the ice cream which is my perfect way of eating this combination. We came here for a friends birthday and to try the bite 30 menu. None of us had been here before and wanted to give it a try. It's a small romantic and intimate type restaurant but very nice. There was 4 of us so we each got one of the different appetizers on the bite 30 menu. I skipped out on the escargot but I heard it was good. Just not a fan. I loved the spicy goat cheese. The mousse truffle was very good too. I'm usually not a fan of liver but I enjoyed the mousse. My entree was the shrimp champagne. It was good but a bit on the oily side. I went with the bananas foster for my dessert. By the time I got to dessert I didn't have much room left to finish. It was pretty sweet. Service was great. Glad we tried this place. read more

We had the most amazing dining experience. The atmosphere is fantastic and the food was exquisite. I had the goose pate and the seafood tower. Both were amazing. Can't wait to come back to this neighborhood gem. read more

I was concerned that it would end up closing due to operations similar to the Funky Monkey but was surprised at how well the restaurant is doing.
May give this one a try soon, how does it compare to the owners prior joint, The Funky Monkey?
its small and personal like before but very updated. It has a great bar now that runs the length of the room. The menu is great.
