Overpriced and not enough food! I had business at Bank of America and stopped by for a sandwich. I ordered the special... because the menu board is impossible to read. The lack of visible pricing on the specials board was the first sign of something wrong with this place. The sandwich was supposed to be on a french roll. The bread was the shape of a roll - but extra thick, spongy and white. So, my $9 lunch special sandwich was 90% bread. Usually a special is generous in size. This was not. There were no sides. It fell apart on the first bite. It was supposed to come with three Italian meats and roasted peppers. There was one tiny cube of peppers and three thin slices of meat. I was hungry again too soon. A better bet in the neighborhood is the cafe in the lobby of the Wells Fargo building. Large portions, great variety and sandwiches that come with sides and a smile. read more

I work around the area so, I usually go here for snacks or if I am too lazy to walk around Westwood to get lunch. It is in the same building as Equinox. The staff is friendly and they are fairly quick to get the food out. My favorite thing to order is the chicken quinoa salad tossed. They give you alot and the price is not too bad, I think around $13 with the chicken. But, the salad last me 2-3 meals. For breakfast, I usually order their breakfast burrito. Nothing special but at least it is not super greasy. Also, its only $5 compared to $10 at Trimana. read more

Bites is the most convenient location for me to grab lunch at work. But that's not why I go there on a regular basis. The food, the environment, the staff...everything about Bites is first-rate. Nothing super special or stand out about this location. My job ordered catering from them and the sandwiches were fine but the desserts were something amazing so they get a three star to balance things out. The salad was very fresh and assembled well. Bites goes beyond your run of the mill high-rise building eatery. There's a reason I walk there almost every day instead of the cafe in my own building, and that reason is the service. Francois and team treat their customers like they've been friends forever. You're always greeted with a smile and friendly conversation. The lunch food is fresh and healthy. If you're having a rough work day, the classic rock jams always playing will get you smiling and tapping your toes (if not full on dancing and singing)! When I first starting working on the west side, I loved this place. It's right next door, so obviously the convenience factor is nice. I absolutely LOVE their Quinoa salad and their made-to-order sandwiches are good as well. Here's the problem: new owners took over in June 2014 and it isn't the same. Everyone at Bites is great! Very friendly and easy going about special requests. I recommend the chorizo burrito or the California scramble for breakfast. They also have delicious coffee and almond milk available. For lunch, the Garlic Chicken Panini is delicious or sometimes I just get a scoop of Tuna Salad. A good trick is to call your order in ahead of time so it is ready for pick up. read more

I've gone there a few times. Every time I go, I end up waiting 20 minutes to get my food, even side orders of bacon. It never fails. Prices are expensive and you don't get your money's worth. I prefer to go to Trimana which is a block away. There I get more for money and I don't have to wait 20 minutes for a side of bacon. read more

I go here for lunch literally every day and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is great (They always have good music) and Francois the owner is extremely friendly and passionate about his business. Quite possibly the worst sandwich shop I've ever been to. The prices are high, even if you were getting a better sandwich. However, you get the most anemic, rip off of a sandwich I've ever wasted money on. Ordered a BLT, 1 slice of bacon on the whole thing, just cut up to look like more. The tomato was thin as paper, the lettuce was the bitter white parts, one piece of provolone in the middle of the bread, to appear to be more, didn't even cover the sandwich. The person at the counter didn't say hi, or thank you or indicate she had any manners at all whatsoever. Apparently the menu on their website is obsolete also. I could make a better sandwich at home for a buck or two. If I'm paying for convenience, then I could go to Jersey Mikes and pay the same price for a great, giant sub, or to Subway for a delicious sub for half the price. This is a complete waste of money, to the point that it could almost be called a scam. The building should get a new vendor, this one's absolute rubbish. read more

I have been working in the building for two years and am a customer of "convenience". The one thing I looked forward to was my morning cup of coffee...French Vanilla! They also had two others to select from which was great. However, the new management changed to ONE, (YES, one) type. It is way too strong with terrible flavor. I used the term dirt and my colleague tar. I asked the long term staff if others have complained and it's a resounding YES. The cafe is typically empty as is so I suggest listening to your loyal customers. Otherwise, it's Starbucks on my way to work and I know others have already found other options :) read more

Bites is amazing!!! The owner is the nicest guy ever and always treats us well. I always get the breakfast burrito (the sausage is my fav & the chorizo one is the bomb... AND THEY PUT HASHBROWNS IN THE BURRITO OMG!), and a large iced coffee almost every morning. Ive tried pretty their whole menu and everything is so yummy and convenient since i work in the building. The food is fresh and the coffee is steaming and tasty! The quinoa salad is delicious. The breakfast burritos are filling- the veggies and eggs were fresh and the bacon tasty. I've also tried the pizza and it was tasty. The price is reasonable and its quick. The manager is very polite and helpful. read more

I have been to Bites Cafe twice and both times the food was very good. The tuna is fabulous, the sandwiches were fresh and the special including the cookie was a deal. The salad was very fresh. The service was quick and the pricing was fair. I have not had breakfast there, but the oatmeal and cereal bar looked really good as did the scones.
