Love that it's iPad ordering! The double matcha Cinnamon Toast Crunch was very delicious . Obviously it's on the sweeter side bc of the cereal so it's a great sweet drink. Great outdoor seating too to hang with friends service was quick!
Came here for the viral coconut matcha but they were sold out... but I must admit the regular matcha was absolutely incredible. Definitely worth every penny.
If you're looking for the best matcha within walking distance of UCLA, I can't recommend this spot enough. This little Westwood gem has quickly become my go-to spot whenever I'm craving a matcha that actually tastes balanced and high quality. The drinks are perfectly creamy and sweet without being overly sugary, letting the matcha flavor shine through. My personal favorites are the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Matcha and the Coconut Matcha. The owners are also some of the kindest people you'll meet, they genuinely care about both their customers and the quality of every drink they make.

Le Phant is such a great place to treat yourself to a sweet treat! I love walking down to grab a Cinnamon Toast Matcha (my favorite!) Their Silk Top cold brew teas are so refreshing and perfect for a warm day. They just recently introduced Hojicha to their menu. I love that the Cocoa Puff Hojicha is not too sweet! The owners Saul and Clara are the sweetest and always provide the most welcoming and kind service. If you're around the West LA/UCLA area, I highly recommend making a stop here. Le Phant is my favorite cafe in the west side!
Small spot for a grab and go. Don't know if it's something to die for after trying both drinks, but it's affordable buying a small. Don't know what happened but the seating is locked up so not much of a café or place to study, which loses its appeal. Drinks were made fast, but I wasn't allowed to ask for no ice in one of my drinks? I even prefaced that I understand and accept the fact that my drink will look less than what I paid for. I'm all for no adjustments such as lite, med, heavy ice, but to ask for no ice when I want to save it for later and be told no is beyond me. Regardless of the reason I think it's fair to at least have that option.

We got the double matcha and the Cinnamon Toast Crunch one with 60% sweetness and they were amazing! They honestly weren't that sweet to me, which was perfect and I loved how strong the matcha was. They use lactose free milk for all of their drinks by the way (which is great for me). It is small inside, so I wouldn't plan on staying inside; just order on the kiosk and wait for a text saying your order is ready. There's two tables outside with an amicable amount of seatings. As for parking, it's either street parking or the parking garage right beside it. The barista was very sweet and patient, he answered all of our questions and he seemed to enjoy his work; you can definitely see the love in all of the drinks. Can't wait to visit again!
Wow, I am pleasantly surprised and impressed! I've been searching for a place close to UCLA that has good matcha without having to go all the way to Ktown and Le Phant delivered. We ordered the double matcha and it was absolutely delicious. It was a perfect balance of sweet paired with the strong bitterness of the matcha, which I loved. The cream top was satisfying to sip on. I would say it's as close as you can get to Rok's double matcha without having to travel far if you're from the area. Service was super friendly. The aesthetic of the cafe is quite modern, clean, and sleek with a mirror inside you can take pics in front of, and I loved the flower decor. 10/10 would go again
Parking is a bit difficult but we managed to park not too far away! The owner was super friendly and explained the different kind of drinks that are offered. I got the silk top tea and the milk foam is the best tasting milk foam ever!!! It's silky smooth, not too creamy nor watery, perfectly sweet, cheesy, and slightly salty. I was sad they didn't put more! I'm definitely hooked! The golden elephant black milk tea was pretty standard. They have a small indoor space for ordering and the only sitting area is outdoor.

The inside was small and there's only a section to order and to pick up your order. There were tables and chairs outside but we were there super early so the chairs wasn't put down yet. Overall, would be back if it wasn't so far away from home!

We ordered the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Double Matcha, Sayang Oolong Tea, and High Mountain Oolong Tea ($19 for 3 drinks total). We really enjoyed everything. The matcha was so YUMMY! Perfect even at 0% sweetness, and I actually regret not getting a large. Both oolong teas were also very refreshing with nice notes. Staff were super kind, and overall the drinks were definitely worth it. I'll for sure come back to try more!

This is my favorite matcha by UCLA!! The hojicha is good as well. I like the boba milk teas, but the cups are a bit small so it's not where I'd go for the best value. Also, sometimes in the afternoon, the milk teas aren't available (when it's too late to brew more tea). The matcha here is creamy and earthy yet sweet. Most other matcha places in West LA have watery matcha, so I'm glad the matcha here is better. They use lactose-free milk by default. The shop is small and there is no seating inside. There are just two large tables outside, so you'll likely need to sit around strangers. Service is good, but a bit slow because of how small the store is. Keep an eye out for good deals!! They often have special promos that are great value. During promos the lines can be long, but they're still worth it in my opinion. read more
I tried the viral coconut matcha here and it was pretty good! I lowkey was expecting this to be mid and just a gimmick, but the matcha and coconut combination was actually pretty good. The matcha cream was smooth, flavorful, and not too bitter nor dry. Good quality. The sweetness and smooth texture of the coconut water was refreshing and provided just the right amount of sweetness. The two components combined was super satisfying. I also liked that it functioned as a fresh dessert with fresh coconut chunks that you can scoop and eat with a spoon. They also gave me a cup of the coconut water used which was also sweet and refreshing. The barista was also super nice and you can tell that he enjoyed his job and interacting with the customers. Parking is street parking. This experience blew my expectations! I would love to come back and try their other drinks. read more
Came here around the time they first opened. A cute little shop in the westwood area. The owners were so sweet! They let you sample the milk teas which was really nice. I ended up picking the high mountain oolong milk tea. The tea was very strong, it wasn't too sweet, and I could see them freshly brewing the tea in the back :) I also appreciated their boba to tea ratio. I might have asked for less boba? But I feel like with this size small cup, I only want a little bit of boba and majority to be tea, which they did well. I would definitely recommend checking them out if you're around the area! Great to find a tea place where the owners/staff really care about their product and source good quality tea. The store is pretty inside. Not a place to sit and sip, but order and drink outside. Got some guidance on products and I got the silk top pure (okumidori) matcha, which has to be sipped within 5-10 minutes or the components start to mix together. It was really delicious. The silk top is a thickened, creamy, slightly sweet milk that you get a little bit of with each sip of the slightly nutty matcha. The flavor is amazing. Would absolutely get again. Got a sayang oolong milk tea with boba to go. Was at least half an hour before I got to try it so I'm not sure what it would have tasted like fresher but it was decently tasty. Boba was unnecessary as there was nothing amazing in its texture or taste, didn't add to the drink experience. I wanted to get a cold brew oolong which is usually brewed/steeped for 48-72 hours to get the max flavor and apparently is very tasty. But I was told that the matcha I got was equivalent to 2 matcha drinks worth of caffeine already, since it's a little more potent. A day's worth! Strongly recommend coming here, and I plan to come back when I can. read more
Tried the Golden Elephant Black Milk tea with silk top and it was great! They top it with these sweet crunchy tea leaves, which was simply delicious! The staff was very helpful and friendly. Service was quick and they have some seating outside. They are mainly known for their matcha which I will try next time.z The cafe has more of a modern look to it. This is a tea place for tea connoisseurs! They have 48-72 hour cold brews...I mean what other place do you know that does that! And then you can drink them with a Silktop (cream foam) that they make. Im a huge foam topping person--sweet foam or cheese foam, I love it all. But when I came in on Tuesday night, they are sold out of those; so, I ordered the Double Matcha which comes with a matcha foam. I ordered it with light ice and 30% sweet. Wow! It was delicious. It's made with ceremonial grade matcha, lactose-free milk, house made matcha cream, and then sprinkled with matcha powder on top. It also comes with a warming if high caffeine content ;) (just how I like it!) You get the matcha flavor with a little something extra because of the matcha cream. I immediately text my friend who works nearby, and she ended up getting the same thing the next day. The second day, I decided to try their milk tea and ordered the 16 oz Sayang Oolong Milk Tea with Silktop, 30% sweet, and light ice. This was delicious as well and perfectly balanced! I also enjoyed snacking on the candied tea sprinkled on top! I really don't think you can go wrong with your choices here. So, if you're a big tea fan, I highly recommend you try it! The place itself is small, with no seating inside, but there are some bench tables outside. As for parking, there is metered parking on the street. read more
I came when they were sold out of their silk top teas :(. So I only got to try the barley silk top. Barley silk top was very good!! The silk top is super creamy, tea is flavorful. Wasn't a fan of the crunchy bits at the top though. Note their base price is 12 oz so you may want to upgrade the size. My hubby got the golden elephant black milk tea. He said it was smooth and creamy. Tea flavor is strong but I think it could be stronger. Both drinks at the recommended 60% sweetness is perfect. They were also sold out of tea jelly so we got no toppings. Prices are a bit pricey. Expect to spend $15+ on two drinks. Also their store hours are kinda funky. Hope to be back to try more silk tops. read more
le phant was a cute and ambient cafe situated in a nice part of westwood. there was no seating inside since it's a small cafe, but there were a few tables outside! they offer free wifi, which is super helpful for students looking a for a cute place to study and soak up some sun. i ordered their matcha einspanner (picture attached) & overall would rate it an 8.5/10. the matcha wasn't too sweet and the cream was super rich - almost like a dessert. however, the drink was pretty small for its price point, but that's pretty much expected in the LA cafe scene. service was quick and helpful, and there weren't that many people in line/waiting. overall, if you're in the area, i would say this is the best spot to get a matcha compared to other spots. read more
I tried Le Phant for the first time after getting lunch with my friend in Westwood last Wednesday. We originally came because my friend wanted to try their fruity teas, but the menu didn't have any fruit tea drinks during our visit. According to their Instagram, they are testing before putting some new fruit drinks on the menu, and I think they change the menu depending on the season (there were previously strawberry and guava drinks in the past). There was no line when we arrived, and the one girl who was working there greeted us and told us to ask if we had any questions. My friend ordered the Sayang oolong milk tea at the recommended sweetness level of 60%, and I got the okumidori matcha latte at the recommended sweetness level of 60% as well. A line started forming while we were waiting for our drinks, so it seems like a popular place with UCLA students. When the worker gave us our drinks, she recommended mixing well before enjoying. The inside of the small storefront has a very clean modern aesthetic and a large mirror with the Le Phant logo on it for taking cute pictures. There is no seating inside because it is not a huge space, but there are two large picnic tables outside that we sat at to enjoy our drinks. My friend's Sayang oolong milk tea was delicious (would recommend), but I do think 60% sweetness was a little too sweet for my liking (I normally order 50% at boba shops for reference) so I would probably get 30% next time for their standard milk teas. My okumidori matcha latte was a good sweetness for me at 60% though. The color was a gorgeous vibrant green, but it tasted a bit strongly of plant-based milk (felt like it overpowered the matcha), so I probably wouldn't get it again. But it was a well-made matcha latte, and I still enjoyed my drink. Overall, I think Le Phant is a great addition to the boba tea shops available in Westwood! You can tell that they care about the quality of what goes into and how they make their drinks based on the simple menu and exquisite taste. I can't wait to see what they will come up with next, and I will definitely return when I am back in Westwood! read more

I was in Westwood and craving a matcha so I walked over to Le Phant. It's a small space with two tables outside. Since the outdoor tables were taken, I walked over to Broxton Ave and enjoyed my drink at one of the outside tables there. I ordered the iced matcha latte and it was really good! The owner was kind and my drink was ready quickly. A good spot to grab a matcha to go if you are in the area! read more

Love their teaaaaa!! So happy they open on weekends now. Yay!! Wonderful service and they are super friendly. Parking is difficult to find during busy times but there is a paid parking structure right next to it. Highly recommend the golden elephant black milk tea. And their silk top teas. In my previous review, I mentioned how the milk was overpowering on the tea but this time around, it was perfect. I think they perfected their ratio. The high mountain oolong silk top tea is sooo good. The tea is strong. The silk top is also really good. One of the best cream tops I've had. Highly recommend this place. I tried their Double Matcha Captain Crunch drink and it was good! Satisfies my matcha and sweet tooth craving. The service was pretty quick considering it was so busy! We prob spent a total of 10 minutes there from walking in the door to order to walking out with my drink The ambiance is casual. Looked like a lot of college students go there since UCLA is nearby. read more
Their matcha is really good! I did get the cinnamon toast crunch one with 90% sweetness (recommended was 60%). I did think the sweetness and other flavors overpowered the matcha, so I will definitely come back to try to plain matcha with 60% sweetness! read more
Got the Jasmine Green Milk Tea at 30% sweetness which was actually pretty perfect for me since I am trying to drink less sweet. However it was more milky than tea flavored. I added the green tea jelly as a topping - I wish it was a little chewier as I've had tea jelly from other places. This one was more hard in texture like agar boba. However they did have pretty good service, when I asked about sweetness - they said they could start me at 30% and adjust if I didn't find it sweet enough. It's a small location so not really a place for studying or chatting (no tables and chairs) but easy to get in and out fast. I do feel like it's a bit pricey for the size of drink you are getting. I'm interested to try their seasonal drinks - they said the strawberry seasonals are with handmade strawberry puree and once they are out of the puree each day, they are sold out that day. Double matcha was rich and smooth. I got 30% sweetness and it was perfect for me (Not too sweet). The space is pretty small and there is no indoor seating. outdoor seating area is pretty limited. It's a good place to pick up drinks but not really a sit-down place. Parking - street park is available but it's hard to find. LOVING their new okumidori matcha line that they introduced. So smooth and creamy and the fact that you can adjust the sweetness is awesome!! The Cinnamon Toast Crunch version is a must try and just overall a great matcha walkable from ucla campus! Their milk tea is always so fragrant and flavorful!! Also love when they have their strawberry series because they use the freshest and most delish puree I've ever had. Owners are the sweetest people ever btw!! read more

I would always hear about this place and finally tried it when they had their back to school sale. I got the small double matcha with 90% sweet. I accidentally got 90% instead of the recommended 60% cuz like you would assume 100% is what's recommended??? I didn't read the menu fast enough. But the sweetness level was fine for me as someone who likes sweet matcha. The matcha was okay. The cream top literally like disappeared. I went around 11:30 am, and there was no line. The space is very small. I would not get the matcha again. I may potentially try their hojicha if they do a sale again. They also have no straws. I've heard the hours as weird af like they're ALWAYS changing which pmo. read more

Stopped by here on a weekday night just before closing! Minimal seating, but they have a really calm vibe with modern decor inside the store. Got the Golden Elephant black milk tea as recommended by a friend of mine. I usually get no toppings as well, which is what Le Phant recommends for most of their drinks. In short, the drink was amazing! Refreshing with a slight creaminess from the milk. Since I'm a huge tea person, this boba shop was right up my alley. The cashier and person making the boba were also very friendly and helpful as well. I could tell they were really proud and passionate about making sure their teas are high quality! However, I would say it's pricey for the amount you get. I would also opt for less ice in general just because it's not your typical boba sizes. I'd give it 4.5 but round up to 5 stars! Nonetheless, I'd definitely come back to try their other premium drinks like their Jasmine green milk tea or any of the oolong milk teas. Just a heads up, they are closed on Tuesdays and Saturdays! read more

On here it says they are closed on Thursdays, but Google Maps says they are open on Thursdays. Does anyone know the correct hours?
I would say always check their Instagram stories day of because sometimes it might say they're open on yelp/google but can change unexpectedly.
