Consistently great service, good food, fast, and an exceptional value in Westwood. I eat here at least once a week and the guys always get it right. I've been mostly coming in for a breakfast burrito either with bacon or chorizo, when it's available. I now add jalapeños & grilled onions, & that makes it DA BOMB (in a good way)! I can't really comment on the rest of their menu; though I occasionally order a burger or Philly cheesesteak, they're decent grass fed beef burgers or sandwiches but nothing that makes you say "wow." However, I love that Trimana provides jalapeño ketchup for a little heat for the burger & fries. And over the holiday break, the dining space was remodeled so it's more bright & airy, making it more welcoming to actually eat there. =) read more

A few years ago I had some early banking and ran out without having breakfast. On my way from Wells out to parking, I caught a whiff of Trimana, followed it in, and had the BEST BREAKFAST EVER! And it was simple - scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast, but the TASTE of it all was incredible because they have the MOST PERFECTLY SEASONED GRIDDLE I've ever experienced and chefs who actually LISTEN and cook things the way you ask!! While breakfast is still my favorite here, the burgers are sublime, with perfectly cooked fries, and so many other menu items equally as good. I don't get there often enough anymore due to work schedules but I did today and was THRILLED nothing's changed, they're still THE BEST. (And I'm stuffing my face and smiling with every bite as I write this!!!) Now, if they'd only open Saturday (and Sunday?) mornings I'D BE A REGULAR!!!! read more

Trimana has always been my place to go for quick lunch. It's very convenient as I work in the same bldg. They always have daily specials but even with specials that sounds good, my go to is the Italian salad with no chicken. It's always prepared so well and fresh. I want to give a shout-out to Guillermo who is one of the chefs that specializes in the salad area. I appreciate that when I say I'd like to order my usual, he knows exactly how I like my Italian salad. Plus, when paired with bagel chips, ahh, my lunch is extra delicious! Trimana offers so many different options, it keeps you wanting to go back plus the owner, the chefs are very nice, accommodating and friendly. They're always very helpful and they accommodate any special requests. Very nice and clean restaurant. They offer sanitizers all around the restaurant. Must try if you're in the area. Trimana, in my mind, is a true guilty pleasure. My poisons: their fries. Mmm, mmm, MMM. Whatever they do to those fries - they are amazing. And bear in mind, I don't like potatoes and I definitely am not a French Fry eater. My other love? Grilled cheese. They will make me a grilled cheese for brekkie. Yep. At 8am, I'm in there ordering a grilled cheese, and they're there grilling it for me. ($2.35 -- cheap, er... not TOTALLY unhealthy brekkie). I will venture over and try some of the more 'normal' foods -- like the salads. I'm hungry for one after reading other reviews this morning! Plus side: They deliver locally. This place is conveniently located in the same building where I work so I've come here several times when I was too lazy to go elsewhere. I've tried their salads and melts, but they are all sub-par. The food normally tastes pretty bland. The only thing I would recommend getting from here are their fries. I have no idea what they put in them, but they are simply amazing. It's like a tiny cafe/convenience. Food isn't that great, but it'll fuel you for a while. There is a lot of seating, but it doesn't seem like people really sit around here, due to a semi-gloomy ambiance. Just ignoring me the whole 5 minutes I was standing there. Get the taco salad you won't be sorry!! This is by far the best "taco salad" I have ever tasted, everything is made to order and they give you a HUGE amount of food! Although the taco salad cost about $7.00 it is well worth it...marinated carne asada grilled while you wait, fresh lettuce, refried beans, tortilla chips, and it's topped w/ salsa, cheese and 1/2 a sliced avocado. I'm usually slightly embarrassed to be eating such a huge meal, so you will find me by myself in one of the corner tables with a Daily Bruin in front of my meal so people won't stare at me wishing they too had order the taco salad. There are other good things to eat there too, but the taco salad is too good for me to pass up, most people order from the left side, the "Deli" so there is usually a long line around 12 p.m, but this works to my favor since I order my taco salad from the right side the "Grill" . I have been coming to Trimana for almost 2 years now and I don't think I have ever had a bad meal here. Everything is made to order right in front of you, and the guys are very open to custom orders. They never shut you down or tell you they will charge extra. It is quick, and the food is high quality. I particularly enjoy the salads because they are quality, fresh, and they are big portions. A regular sized salad can usually take me through 2 meals. Prices are reasonable and there is a ton of selection. This is my favorite work food spot. I am a high-rise cube dweller, and Trimana is on the first floor of my building. Milo at the deli counter is simply the worst. Guy makes food orders incorrectly -- and then gets mad at you when you ask for them to be done right. And holds grudges for years, apparently. Milo, guess what, I speak Spanish. And if you forget three ingredients in my salad you can bet your ass I'm going to ask you to fix it. Get over yourself. I'm done with this place after years of supporting them. The food is tasty, and high quality at an affordable price - especially for the fresh high quality that you receive there. So totally agree with Pamela's assessment of the taco salad. IT IS AMAZING. I also recomment the BBQ ranch with chicken. You cannot beat it. Something about the chips and the dressing make it irrestible. You can eat the whole thing and be full alllllll day and pass it off because, HEY, IT'S A SALAD! Quesadillas and burritos are good, too, though not "traditional." Sandwiches are decent. Tuna salad is outstanding. I think the best way to describe Trimana is "meh" - it is nothing special but because I work in the building it is always a last resort. Most of the coffee options are good. I usually get the medium at $2/cup. They usually run out of the popular flavors by 10 am-ish so go early if you want something in particular. If you go in the afternoon a lot of times they won't even have coffee anymore or it is dark roast only. Their food is fine, expensive for what it is in my opinion. The bagels with cream cheese are good, the breakfast sandwiches are huge. The salads are just average and expensive for what they are. The chili and/or baked potato are both good cheap lunch options. Bring cash or load up your Bruin Card if you are a student/staff because they have a $6 minimum. read more

Love their fries and jalepeno ketchup! This is no foodies haven, but it gets the job done when you are in a hurry. The portions are pretty big. I can usually split up the lunch to 3 meals if I get an entree or 2 meals if I do the $5 lunch. Consider Trimana like a cafeteria, don't come in here with high high caviar hopes and you won't be disappointed. The prices are on par to the other eateries in the area, albeit, the food isn't Cordon Bleu best, you are paying for convenience. DUH. I work next door so I frequent this place often, therefore I feel comfortable enough to say Trimana is below average and a last resort. My boss eats here everyday and I don't understand why. The food is bleh and the service is completely whack. There's only like 2 workers here I actually like. The other ones and especially the chick at the register needs customer service skills ASAP. BTW: You'll never go there and get charged the same thing twice. It'll always be more. Their workers who work the cashier are incompetent and charge you whatever they feel like from day to day. Food experiences I have had here were just .... ucky. Then there's the service. It took too long, and the whole situation with two lines was confusing the first time. That wasted time. And then they got the order wrong. And then you wait in another line to pay. And each time I ate there I felt like I was eating in a runway, being bumped into, sitting on the diagonal in a corner of a room that doesn't feel like it should be sat in. Crappy feng shui for sure.
