This was good, but not great. Service was friendly. They do not validate parking. I ordered a breakfast burrito, subbed with chicken. (I asked if they had chicken or turkey sausage substitute, but I think I was misheard or misunderstood because it was chicken breasts instead.) The matcha was excellent.

PARKING: Walked here but I am sure it's either metered parking or structured parking. SEATING: About 8 tables! Each sits about 2 to 3 people each depending. Lots of students here studying which is cool as there's always a need to study somewhere that is not home. There's also patio sitting but it isn't available as it is raining. But it looks to be about 3 to 4 tables. SERVICE: Friendly service! Walked in to a small line as it is a rainy day today. Two baristas on staff. Super quick, in and out! Barista on cashier was nice! I really had no questions to ask but I'm sure if I did, they would be more than happy to answer them. FOOD: I love seasonal flavors so much so I got the pumpkin cloud cold brew in their largest size. The coffee is smooth and the foam adds just a nice touch of sweetness. It is not overly too sweet which is nice and the flavor sits on top right after the coffee note. OVERALL: I pass by this coffee shop all the time so I am glad I went in today on this rainy day! Very chill vibes and great Playlist playing. I see myself coming back to try the whole menu!

Matcha gal usually but I saw beet latte on the menu and had to try it. If you like beets you'll like this. Did it hot with oat milk. No soy here There is metered parking (good luck). Staff was great!

"Matcha" latte with barely any matcha. Just a cup of straight up oat milk.

Worst matcha latte ever. Paid $7 for a cup of oat milk. Also the food is overpriced and essentially just reheated food you can get from a frozen foods section from the supermarket. Save your money and take it to bonsai for a latte that actually has matcha in it for the same price.

Avocado Toast and Cappuccino w vanilla :) what a great morning

    |[ y e h ]| My goto for a caffeine boost in Westwood! Pricey but I do like the latte (I get it with oat milk no sugar) and it's p good and keeps me wired for a couple hours. |[ y u m ]| Sunshine burrito is filling but I don't like bacon and the app doesn't have an option to remove the bacon or a notes section which is really backwards imo, rly hope this fix this because it's bizarre to me. So to make any adjustments would require ordering in store*** |[ o v e r a l l ]| Other than that, parking is tricky in Westwood and if I wasn't already in the area I prob wouldn't come specifically for it though I do like that there's some seating and it's central in Westwood. The service is kind, ambiance is chill, overall I'm glad bluestone is in Westwood. :)

I visited bluestone in Westwood to try their flat white. It was a very tasty one. They also offer all kinds of food. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Service is fast! Parking can be tricky around.

Their smart-looking bag -- one of the things that I love at Bluestone.

Stopped by here last Sunday to pick up my usual order of Avocado Toast. And I was pleasantly surprised that the Avocado Toast tasted exceptionally delicious. The place is nice and clean. Staff here are always nice. I park at Target and that's because I did some shopping as well. Also I love their to-go/delivery bag. :)

As someone who is not a big fan of overly vanilla-y flavors, the vanilla banana protein smoothie def hit the spot. I hate drinks with artificial sweeteners or syrup but this smoothie didn't have any of that. The banana's natural sweetness pairs nicely with the added nuttiness. A little pricey for the quantity though. The matcha latte on the hand is terrible. As an avid matcha lover, their matcha truly tasted like watered down grass.

Whenever you're on vacation trying to find a decent coffee shop is always a gamble. Of course you could go to a Starbucks where you'll know exactly what you're gonna get, and it's the same thing you can get everywhere else, and if I'm in a hurry, those work out great. But when you're on vacation or you have a little more time to look around and you truly just want to enjoy your coffee, as opposed to doing it for the caffeine, that's when you want a more local experience. Bluestone is everything you would want in a local, small coffee shop. It's bright, it's welcoming, they have a lot of outdoor seating, and best of all the coffee is really good. I also decided to get some avocado toast which is not something I usually do and I was blown away. Absolutely amazing. Just enough spice to it that it didn't feel as if you were eating just bland avocado.(don't hate, avocado has practically no taste) I was also pleasantly surprised that the prices weren't as outrageous as I thought they would be, considering the location so close to UCLA. If there was one thing that I would say it was a bit of a bummer was that the barista didn't really seem very friendly. But perhaps they were just having a bad day. All in all, give this place a try. You won't regret.

Let's start with this: EXCELLENT service! I live in the area and have driven past this place hundreds of times and decided that today would be the day that I try it out. I walked in not knowing what to get since it was my first time, which I verbalized to the woman taking my order. She recommended the Vanilla Oat Milk Latte. I had questions and she was kind enough to answer all of them without becoming impatient--much appreciated. As I was getting my card out to pay, she said that it's on the house. My eyes got big in disbelief. I said are you sure? She replied yes with a warm smile. Also, the drink was great, just like I like it: sweet with extra light ice. The place is clean and it's relatively quiet and relaxing compared to other coffee houses/cafes. I'll definitely be back. The staff is welcoming, helpful, and patient! Keep up the great work :)

Had coffee and a chia pudding bowl. The Coffee was OK, nothing special. The almond butter chia pudding had a nice serving of seed based granola, though the granola had lost its crunch. Overall this was ok but I would try another place next time.

    Iced Strawberry Matcha

matcha was quite literally the worst i've ever had. it started coagulating because of the strawberry lowkey and its milky and watery and slightly sour all at once? help the service was pretty good vibes are really nice unfortunate that the drink was so buns

Love the coffee taste and overall design

Beautiful natural lighting, calm quiet atmosphere, lots of seating, fast service, coffee is always mellow and done well Australian style cafe, they sell all of their beans and merch here too. they also have an app for order pickup delivery etc they have lots of healthy fresh bites brunch and lunch options here too Everyone i bring here are impressed by the coffee not being overly roasted or burnt unlike other coffee shops and their food is always presented so well!

It's clear that their kitchen and staff valued attention to detail, and was more than considerate of a luxe dining experience. I loved my farmers market margarita, and seed smoke mezcal cocktail, they were not overly boozy, but had been made with an even blend of flavor and dressed with complimentary ingredients. As we were all men, it was pretty stereotypical that we ordered almost exclusively protein dishes lol. Each meat on the table was tender, juicy, and very savory. My favorites included their goat curry, and pork belly boat noodles. The plates were all Exciting, innovative, and an overall unique menu. It remains a unique addition to the neighborhood, as well as a good place to grab some interesting dishes. Since the opening of this particular business, the Zinc chain has opened in a few other locations. Those locations are much newer in not only their establishment but their design. This is not to say that this is still not an interesting, well-designed business, but, with time, it has become a little bit rundown. I hate to say it, but that is the truth. This location could really use an update and perhaps a deep cleaning. I was, in fact, kind of surprised at the condition of this business, for example, on the way towards their restrooms. From my opinion, it needs an clean up and an update. Also, the litter that surrounded some of the outdoor tables where I was sitting at my most recent visit was very surprising. This is just something to keep in mind if you're coming here for your first visit. In terms of what they offer for food, though it has evolved a bit over the years, they still have a great, heath-based menu, with some very interesting choices. For all of you vegetarians and vegans out there, you will, for sure, be able to find some tasty food to eat. Once upon a time, this restaurant was impacted with tons and tons of people. It was constantly full with people either going to the bakery and/or sitting down for table service. Shortly past their opening each day, there would be a line of people waiting for service. This seems to have changed, however. Meaning, if you're looking for an interesting place to eat, with some good dishes, at the far Southeast side of DTLA, near the lofts district, and you want a place without a long wait to get a table and/or your food, this may still be your place to go.

I loved all of the colors in the rice, which include the fried pork belly, the golden egg yolks, and the pigments of the atchara (atchara: pickled vegetables such as papaya, scallions, and carrots). I have been here a few times for dinner but this was first time for brunch. I made a reservation, was asked to confirmed reservation 3x, noted it was celebrating a birthday and gave no preference on seating. I arrived on time, but one of my group was parking. There were a few people milling around and I was greeted with "checking in?" No hello, no welcome, no mention of celebrating and told to let them know when entire party arrived. (This is becoming more common to be seated along with a $25 per person fee if I canceled less than 24hrs. I know restaurants are struggling but come on!) I watched as 'walk-ins' were given priority tables and when our party was complete, she was squeezing in a 3rd chair to a small cafe table right by the pass through door. No asking our preference. When she returned to seat us, I said "you're not putting us at that small table are you?" Her response - "yes...unless you want to sit inside." How was that not a conversation first? A professional would have said "I apologize, where would you prefer to sit? I see you made a reservation, are celebrating an event and we had some unexpected guests for seating options." Perhaps she was having a bad day, or was still reeling from a prior customer interaction but she was NOT up to the standards I equate with Manuela.
