Hot n New just opened new owner with lots of experience. He grew up in Dad's Michigan Coney Island on Michigan Ave, I was a regular customer back in the 70s and 80s . He and son owned Dearborn Coney Island on Telegraph in Dearborn, son still owns it. He bought a few months ago, freshen up inside looking great. So Happy to see this place reopening after 6 plus months. Had outstanding Delicious Italian Wedding Soup spot on. A mega Cobb Salad with hot steamy Chicken Wowed will feed two easy. Me a proper Club Sandwich with Ham Bacon Turkey for the win . I added Ham to make it a Club Deluxe with Fries only $10.99 . Shout out to Ms Sherri our Superstar Waitress , she's a keeper. Truly a must visit great food and service will keep us coming back. #bizzybeeconeyisland #newowner #cobbsalad #italianweddingsoup #clubsandwich #fries #newlyopened #downriverfriendseat

Ok here goes... There a guest in the house. I wake up late and don't really feel like making food... I turn to my fiance', "we should go to brunch at Bizzy Bee." He'd be like, "Sure, I think my sister hasn't been there yet." So we dip, and we fly over to break bread before she fly's off to Hotlanta. We come in on a Sunday noon and we make it right on top of Sunday brunch rush. They notice us right away,, "how many?" "Three please." The waiter looks around, "we've got a few booths finishing up. It'll be just a couple of minutes." I smile back with appreciation, "thank you, but no rush. We're not in a hurry." After a few minutes, a booth was cleared and we were seated promptly. We scan the menu, I do their Chicken and Waffles on their specials board. Sister-in-law did the Red Velvet Waffles. Both of them were YAAAAAS delicious. Not a big fan of chicken breast, but chicken breast seasoned that good,, heck to the mothereffin YAAAAAAAAS!! The Waffles,, forget about it,, cream cheese frosting sauce and that... you just gotta come in and try it. I love you bizzy bee.

Quite simply one of the best diners I've been to, and definitely above and beyond for the downriver area. Food comes plated like a 5 star restaurant. Service is prompt and friendly, and I felt like a regular the first time I ate there. All of the staff are on point and there to do the best job possible. Best gyros I've had in as long as I can remember. I've made it a point to try and eat there once a week. Do yourself a favor and go see Fadie on the weekends. He takes a lot of pride in his cooking, and for good reason.

Alrighty... Food was good. Service was good (wasn't a big crowd in at the time.) I ordered the Hot Roast Beef Sandwich, at first glance it just seemed to be a big taste smelling pill of gravy. I had to eat it with a fork. I've had plenty of Roast Beef Sandwiches in my lifetime but I have to admit this was my first smothered in gravy. Was very tasty but nothing that knocked me out off the seat. Only thing I feel the need to say which is why I rated it a 3 star instead of a 4 star... It said a big pile of roast beef, idk maybe it was just my experience but I was kind of expecting a little more. Truly wasn't much roast beef on my sandwich. BUT, overall my experience is great. I'll definitely be making a roast beef sandwich smothered in gravy at home. I feel it can be easily duplicated with same tastefully satisfying results.

Service is very good ,staff is friendly and the food is very good. Try it and see for yourself.Service is very good. Ask for their punch card so many meals and get $ off on a meal.

Crispy chicken pita deluxe... It was only $10!

Years ago this place used to be decent. Unfortunately now it appears that if you are not male expect less than stellar service.

Friday dinner. Super…read morenice people except for an errant young hostess who got very aggressive about taking a menu we were saving in order to get a to go order. Not nice about it at all. When you piss my laid back husband off you have definitely gone wayyy wrong. Our server was amazing though. Efficient and Uber friendly. We got our food quickly and piping hot, drink refills before needed. She was charming everyone in the room I think. Everyone seemed in a good mood. The food was nice. We especially likes our Cuban egg roll app. Stuffed full of meat, they had terrific flavor and were filling to boot. Made my husband thank about getting the sandwich next time. He had barbecued shrimp this time. Excellent bbq sauce. His sides of choice were really tasty vodka sauced pasta and just okay cheesy potatoes. I went with the piccata style perch which had great flavor, a perfectly done huge baked potato and a wreck of the loaded up brussels. The Brussels may do it for some but they were a no bueno flavor mess to me. Yikes. When I was nearly finished I got a big old bite of bone in my perch. The manager stopped by and was appropriately concerned, super apologetic. Offered us all kinds of freebies. I assured her it was not necessary. I truly enjoyed my meal there. I was stuffed and satisfied. We took prime rib melts to my parents and they were happy. Overall a nice food night. We will return.

A group of eight of us in town for work meetings wanted a nice, outdoor, summer evening experience…read more Sadly, this is probably the single most unprofessional and disorganized restaurant I've ever been to. Our server was delightful, but forgetful. Several drinks were forgotten more than once. In our group of eight, six dinners arrived. However, another server came out while the dinners were being handed out and argued with our server that she took one of hers. After some bickering between them, they decided these all were in fact our table's meals. Although we were still two meals short. Then, half way through everyone else's meal, one more came out. It took two separate times of walking inside and requesting, then basically demanding that the last dinner be provided, for it to finally arrive. It didn't come until after the rest of us were mostly finished. One of our party requested the manager come speak with us, and that this dinner be comped, since it came after we all were nearly finished. The manager, who our server said was named Matt, never came out. If he even existed at all. About 10 minutes later, she came back and said Matt agreed to comp that meal. Completely unprofessional. The manager should have immediately come to our table to address the situation. Then, after another member of our party asked for a Maker's, and was told they were out, he and our server went through the list of several options available, which took three tries to come up with one that they actually had in stock. A good 5+ minutes later, the bartender came out to tell him they were out of THAT whiskey, which then lead to a small disagreement at our table between our server and the bartender over which whiskeys they did and didn't have. Again, embarrassingly unprofessional. When the bartender finally brought the drink, it wasn't on a tray, but instead he was holding it in his hand, gripping around the rim. Not only unprofessional, but fairly disgustingly unsanitary. When I walked inside to use the restroom, all of the employees were just milling around, talking with each other, not serving anyone, not working, just basically socializing. The whole look and feel of this place is poorly-run, poorly-managed, poorly-trained, and far less professional than walking into a fast food restaurant. It was a shame, because the weather was perfect, the evening and view were fantastic, but the entire restaurant experience was just a complete disaster. I don't know who actually runs or owns this place, but they need to wake up. Either scorched-earth the entire staff and hire a crew that actually has some pride in their job and the establishment that provides their paycheck, or make some sort of effort to properly train them. Start with the manager, who obviously doesn't set a professional example to begin with. Does this elusive manager Matt even really exist? No clue, we never saw him.
