We decided to visit in the middle of the week. We walked in and no one welcomed us, we didn't really see anyone other than a barmaid. So we sat ourselves and after a couple minutes a waitress came and took our appetizer order. We got the artichoke dip. It was extremely dry, not much artichoke and THICK. My son got the chicken Alfredo. No complaints here. The sauce was good, noodles perfectly cooked and the chicken was flavorful. My husband and I both got the fish and chips. It was not good for either of us. The batter was extremely thick, and mushy near the fish, making the fish mushy. We tried peeling back the batter and just eating the fish but again, it was so mushy. The service was honestly not great. We were not greeted when we entered, had to decide ourselves where to be seated, took a few minutes before anyone came to our table and even once service did start, it was very slow and we didn't see much of our waitress and there was not many customers so no reason for slow service. read more

Upstairs is a club so at a certain point when you're hanging out downstairs, you'll start to hear the thump of music from upstairs. The pickle fries are a MUST! Trust the process. I'm giving this 2 stars because the wait staff was quick and attentive. However, the food we had today was disgusting. My husband had a bowl of chili with a side of Brussels sprouts. I ordered the salmon with red pepper sauce, seasonal veg, and rice pilaf. He liked his chili because he likes bland chili with minimal seasoning and almost no spice. More cheese and sour cream than chili. I tried a bite and it was gross. The best thing I can say about the salmon was it was cooked properly, not overdone. But there was no seasoning on any of my food. The veggies (broccoli, mixed peppers, zucchini, and squash) were steamed, not grilled, and had absolutely no flavor and were mushy. I am certain the rice was Ben's. Again, no flavor and mushy. I couldn't finish the veg or rice because they were horrendous. We will not be going back. read more

We stopped by after church. First time there. The perfect day to eat outside. The patio is welcoming and covered to shield diners from hot sun. Our server, Kristine was welcoming and helped us decide what to order. Hubby got the Michigan Cherry Salad. I got their chili chicken tenders with fries. They had so many choices for dipping Kristine brought me all of them! The fries were delicious and I'm not a big fry person. The salad had the freshest ingredients and great homemade dressing. I had a lemonade, which was perfectly balanced. Not too sweet and not too sour. Hubby got a Bloody Mary, with lots of olives, had bacon and not sure what else because I didn't take a photo. He said it was one of the best he'd ever had. It's his favorite drink so he knows a good one. Nice choice of menu items at reasonable prices. We recommend this place. Your typical sandwich. Nothing special but no complaints. It has typical America food choices- flat bread, sandwiches, etc. Service was fast. I loved the windows of the design. I like to make sure I take everything into consideration before making a review. My family and their friends sat down for dinner at the end of November, beginning of December. The atmosphere was a slightly higher scale, but a place where anyone could comfortably eat at. The menu seemed to have some different offerings, but some you might be familiar with. We all got different things (I'd highly recommend the pretzels). I got the fish and chips (I liked) my mom and others got different offerings, but they weren't super fond of them and because it took them a while to serve us (drinks and food) the food wasn't super hot. I would try this restaurant one more time to make sure my review is sound, but it may not be for a while (as my family wasn't too fond of it and that was the reason we tried this place). read more

Service was everything! I've read some sad reviews on here, that was not my experience. The inside seemed loud and busy, but the outdoor seating was a more relaxed, calm environment with coffeehouse type music. The food was delicious and fairly priced. I had the pretzel balls and nachos. I was impressed with the amount of meat they put on the nachos and the pretzel balls were so yummy. I work directly across the street from this location and will be spending a lot more time in Wayndott and I'm sure a lot more time here! I just love the downtown Wayndott area! There's so many places to check out! I like to make an adventure out of these kinds of work days and explore while I'm here. I love the atmosphere here. It just feels inviting. Now if the heat had been turned on, it probably would have been even more inviting. Haha. Oh well I'm always cold anyway. We had a great bartender who was very attentive. I only needed about an hour at work so I brought my ride or die with me. The was a decent beer selection and the food was pretty good. Ok, here's my last post about the crappy service my wife and I received two consecutive times, weeks apart at the that. We decided to give it another chance. So, this time we sat outside, for the first time. Within about 2 minutes after us seating. Which the table was dirty but, cleaned promptly. Another couple sat after us. They were attended to, served their appetizers and their meal all within 30 minutes. It took us 50 minutes to receive our food. They were done and gone long before we were half way thru our meal. Upon receiving our meal. The waitress said. Be careful the plates are hot. Which tells me the food went cold and was microwaved. Lousy service lost our business. We'll never go back. Fairly limited menu. My wife had the charcuterie board, and I had the wings. The charcuterie board was quite large but had 3 sausages, a small container of blue cheese, apricot preserves, mustard, bread, and fried pita; Lita of stuff but nothing major. My whole wings were quite flavorful but over fried as many of the flats were very dry. They were very sticky as well, and there was nothing to clean your hands off with, but a trip to the bathroom took care of it. There is a large outdoor section which would be nice in the summer months. I'd try it again, but I'm not sure I would be longing for it. 3.5 stars but give them the benefit for 4. read more

MAKE SURE YOU'RE CHECKING YOUR CARD STATEMENTS. I came here for my sisters' birthday and the food was okay. As we were eating I decided to head to the bar to get a few shots to toast. My bill was $21.20 at the bar and I left the suggested $4 tip (20%), everything was fine or so I thought. Days later I receive a notification from my bank that I apparently left a $30 tip on my $20 bill. First of all the service was never that great for me to leave a tip like that and frankly I don't like the idea of this "well established" company literally stealing money from me. We had to hunt down our wait staff after she seated us with menus but never returned. We chose to only do appetizers because it was such an unpleasant venue for a nice $$$ meal. The wings were undercooked and the skin on them were FAR from being crisp. We were not offered a choice of side dips, they just came served with extremely WATERY ranch dressing. I wish I could tell you that the food was amazing, the atmosphere was delightful and the usual fare but the reality is that my wife and were looking for some place new to check out so we came in, stood at the hostess' desk for about 5 mins before someone finally walked past and told us to just go and have a seat anywhere. So we went and found a table close to the bar. Bear in mind, it was 3 pm on a Saturday so it wasn't that busy and not many people were there. So we went and sat. And waited. And waited. 5 mins had gone by and yet not one person even stopped by to acknowledge our existence, let alone ask us if we wanted a drink or see a menu. Finally, my wife said "F this" and we walked out. As we were leaving, another couple followed us out the door and said that they had waited longer than we did and finally had enough of being ignored. So we all walked across the street and had a much better experience at R. P. McMurphy's where we were all seated, had drinks and had ordered our meals in the same amount of time we all sat like showroom dummies at Brickhouse. If being ignored and watching other people eat is your forte, then Brickhouse is just for you. Needless to say, we won't be coming back anytime soon. read more

I joined friends at BrickHouse on a Friday night to sit in the dining area. It was a charming space, but service and food were less than ideal. We were seated quickly, and given three menus for eight people. When I asked if we could have more, we were given one. So we shared. The small cocktail list was on the back of the menu, and there wasn't a draft list. I flagged down our server and asked if there were seasonal cocktails or a draft list. She said, "we are about to launch our holiday cocktails, but they aren't printed yet. I said we'd love to pilot them but she looked at me blankly and asked what we wanted. I asked what drafts were available and she pointed to the bar and said we could go take a look. Weird response but okay. We ordered, and three of us went for the smoked paloma, which seemed a great value at $10. Drinks arrived quickly, and on first sip, it was clear that it was an expensive glass of grapefruit juice with a charred piece of rosemary. The mezcal was noticeably absent. Each of us ordered an appetizer to share. The standouts were the fried shrimp and peaches and Brie flatbread. All in all, the food was all good. The only issue was very cold tater tots and being out of the pimento cheese spread. As we sat and talked, no one rushed us, and we ended up ordering a bottle of wine. In typical fashion for all spots, a $15 bottle in the store had the up charge to be $50 in restaurant, but it was good. The server did open it at the table but did not do the first pour. In fact, she was absent most of the night and never checked on us. Honestly, I don't think she even provided her name or engaged us in any way. We decided to give them a second chance hoping they figured things out with more time after the opening and I'm glad we did! The food was good! It was a little loud because half of the restaurant was reserved for parties that were playing loud music but overall it was a great atmosphere! We are pretty sure the loaded tots were homemade cheesy tots and that was my favorite food we had. Their flatbreads were okay but they were kind of small. Their Mac and cheese was an 8/10. Very cheesy but other than that there wasn't too much flavor but still worth ordering, I think. It was our first time at this establishment (3/17/24 around 2pm). We order the flatbread pizza and a hamburger. We were happy with both, the food was good and not over priced. As for drinks, we ordered Bloody Mary's and they were among the best I've had anywhere. The service was perfect and our waitress was very pleasant and professional, in fact her knowledge of the menu and her recommendations made our time there enjoyable. Been here twice and never going back. RUDE STAFF! On one of the occasions I was there, there were three separate employees who were exceptionally rude to us. For reasons ranging from walking "the wrong way" to the audacity of us asking if we could add an extra seat to our table. GROSS FOOD! Their "flatbread" is super cheesy greasy straight up nasty pizza. Take a look at the pictures on Yelp. The burger my friend got was burned to a crisp. Disgusting wine. The bar itself looks cool, but you might get asked to NOT sit there because they are "really busy already". You can still get $3 beer at a table. And if you want to order for pickup, they will not take your order over the phone, you have to "come have a drink at the bar" while you order and wait. Wyandotte has plenty of other tried and true places to party at. Stay away from Brickhouse until they get their act together. It's just not worth the hassle yet. read more

I have eaten here a few times and the food was OK. It is nothing that I would consider to be exciting or something I would wish to come back for. The service at the bar was good but the service at the tables was a little lacking but nothing I would consider bad. The facility is quite nice inside but a little spread out which gives it a little odd vibe. I think my biggest issue for this establishment is the talk about the owner taking a portion of the tips from the servers. Numerous waitstaff members have told a similar story of the owner and his girlfriend forcing staff members to give a portion of their tips to them. Just a FYI, that is against State and Federal law.
