I went to the showrooms but nothing was actually in stock. Not so at BJs. Ike worked with me for hours as we pulled together all the items I needed. It was amazing. The quality of the items they sell is excellent. Do not be fooled by the way it is displayed. You will find the exact same items at beautiful showrooms for a lot more. BJ Discount, Garden Grove, has supplied new bathroom sink fixtures and a new deluxe toilet. The golden sink fixtures had some recurring problems with the gold peeling off (NOT BJ's fault), so it was quite a long process to get everything replaced through the manufacturer. Mike at BJ's hung in there with me and contacted the local manufacturer many times and defective fixtures were replaced. The staff at BJs also set me up with a plumber to pick up and install my new toilet--very good work. I am just a homeowner in Irvine, not a contractor. It is possible to still get a good deal if you don't mind driving to Garden Grove. Their shop/store is near the freeway, so the location is not as bad as it sounds. If you need plumbing parts start here BJ Discount. Great inventory and service. There parts counter can be busy but worth the wait if there is one. They know their stuff and are super helpful. Today I needed to repair the leaking hose on the Delta pull out kitchen faucet. No luck looking for the part at Home Depot. The guy in the plumbing department referred me to Niagara Plumbing. Showing the hose to the counter guy he recognized it and pulled the replacement part I needed. The guys behind the counter seemed to be knowledgeable and friendly. Then they inform me the part is $103.40 plus tax. WOW they also tell me that's a deal and the price isn't marked up that much. So, I purchase the hose $111.42 after tax. I was close to another plumbing BJ Discount I have used many times They had the same part# and sold it to me for $83.06 after tax. $28.35 less. So, I purchase theirs and go back to Niagara to return the overpriced part. I was told we don't give cash refunds just store credit. They did price match BJ's price. I then went back to BJ's and they gladly refunded my money. Well I know where to go first. read more

I recently shopped at BJ's to purchase ALL of my plumbing fixtures and materials for three full bathroom remodels. BJ's was recommended to me by my plumber/friend and he accompanied me to BJ's to assist with item selection recommendations. I worked directly with Joel Gwartz, the owner of BJ's (a family-owned business originally founded by Joel's father). Joel was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and efficient. He literally walked to every corner of the store with me and explained the pros and cons of each potential selection. As we made product decisions, Joel noted them in his head, and didn't need to write anything down. Once I had completed all product selections, Joel wrote up an invoice that was extremely accurate. I purchased a significant amount of product and spent a hefty sum, as would be expected when completely remodeling multiple bathrooms, but the prices were very competitive and I believe I received top quality materials at fair and reasonable prices. BJ's delivered everything I ordered at the date and time it was promised. Upon delivery, the BJ's employee neatly opened each fragile item for my inspection and thereafter repackaged the items and stored them for me in the location I specified. They could get the sink in 2-3 days for me but when I explained that my countertop was scheduled to be installed the next day, they made arrangements for me to pick it up at a local warehouse. This is the place to go to get quality plumbing supplies. The staff is super knowledgeable and can answer all your plumbing questions. Mike sold us on a deep soaker tub by Hydro Systems made locally in LA. We went with acrylic because it was going in on the second floor. This thing holds a ton of water and stays hot for a long time. I have never left a review on Yelp; although I use it all the time for good references....I had the most amazing customer service experience last night and wanted to share with anyone looking for plumbing products. We are remolding our master bedroom and bath and were ready for some shower fixtures....The "boys" sent me to go get what they needed. I went to 4 plumbing stores....the first one had me waiting for about an hour and nobody came to help (not super busy....just slow service) so I left there and went to Home Depot thinking that someone at the special order desk could help me.....they were no help at all and told me that I needed to call Delta direct to figure out what i needed. So my next stop was Pacific Sales.....They were rude and unhelpful as well. After spending 30 min talking to a sales guy that obviously wanted nothing to do with me he told me, he told me it would take 2-4 weeks to get what i need....I need this stuff ASAP so that wasn't going to work and was a complete waste of time......The only good thing he did for me was send me to BJ Discount.....As soon as I walked in Nick was there asking me what I was looking for. He was very knowledge able and knew what I was looking for. He took the time to help me get all the parts and pieces that I needed (even though I didn't know what I was talking about). This morning I got a phone call from BJ Discount to let me know that I had two pieces on back order and the rest would be there tomorrow. I wish I could give this place 6 stars. The staff was so helpful, their prices were really fair, and they had everything I needed. It can be especially annoying to go into this kind of store as a woman but not here. The staff took me seriously, explained things in clear ways, and I left with everything I needed. I called them a few days later because I had a question while I was installing my new shower head and they walked me through it over the phone. I know it can feel easier sometimes to go to the big chain stores but nothing beats that kind of customer service. If only they fixed cars too! read more

These guys are open on Sundays!!!!! If you need to make plumbing repairs, don't waste your time with a Home Depot, Ace or Lowes. Their selection of replacement parts is very limited and they'll just refer you to a plumbing supply place like BJ Discount. The problem with most Plumbing Supply shops is that they are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Thankfully, BJ Discount is open on the weekends. read more

This store has been around since 1963 and has always been our go to store for plumbing supplies and also for kitchen and bath fixtures. They also carry high end products. After you get a quote from a store/showroom, get the item numbers and call BJ Discount for a price and I can guarantee you they will have a better price for you or price match. If you are having trouble finding something to replace, you bring it in and they have it or can get it. I lived in Garden Grove for over 30 years and moved to another city further out and still continue to drive back to GG to get my plumbing and kitchen and bath products. This place is a mom & pop store so of course if you buy from here you're supporting small business, which is always good. My boyfriend likes going here because the employees know their stuff and the plumbing in our condo is not standard so home depot or Lowe's doesnt carry the parts we need. This place does. Also I came here for a shower kit that I can take home asap, which was not available at home depot. It's funny how everyone that works in the store hates home depot, sooo funny! read more

BJ's really came through for us. Our water heater started leaking on a Friday night, the same day that we had a new furnace installed. We were trying to work with the company that installed the furnace (who also did water heaters). After 5 days of sopping up the water from the drip pan and numerous phone calls and appointments, we were in the same situation as Friday night. The company was finally able to come out on Wednesday, if we picked up the water heater and other related parts. We ran over to Home Depot, only to find out (while the installers were there) that the water heater had a big dent in it and therefore had to be returned. With a funeral to go to the next day and a desperate desire to have a hot shower in my home, I called BJ's. Linda said, yes, they have water heaters and yes, they can have it installed. It was 2:30 PM and I said, hopefully, like today? She made a few calls and was able to get an installer out that afternoon (Andy - he was GREAT!). I understand that he was on his way home. He picked up the water heater for us from BJ's and installed it that afternoon. Very professional and did the job very efficiently. Thank you, Linda!! Thank you, Andy!! Absolutely rude white man who works here completely dissed my wife and father that came in looking for sink and heater parts. My father doesn't speak English well and my wife didn't know the exact part we needed. But there was no need for this guy to be a complete jerk who questioned my 82 year old father's upbringing (literally that's what he said) when he looked at parts that are laid out on the isles that customers can retrieve and buy. How dare you insult my father like that!! We are nice people and he stomped all over us. This place has been by far the best place to go for plumbing supplies when you want the right part for the job the first time! I discovered them last summer when I was remodeling my bathroom. They saved me a ton of money and I couldn't be happier with the fixtures they helped me select. I went back today to see if it was possible to replace just a portion of my MILs old shower head because she's at an age where she doesn't like change. I was pretty sure it couldn't be done before I even asked, but I asked anyway at my husband's request. I was very happy with how the guy helping me showed in detail why it wouldn't work. Then, at my request, he showed me my options for replacing the whole shower head with one that looked much like the old one, was inexpensive and of very good quality. He also took the time to explain the tricks of the trade for replacing it safely and correctly. We were able to do the job right and by ourselves the first time. My MIL is very happy with her new shower head. While I was there I witnessed other employees helping older customers with such patience and respect. It was obvious that they were happy as well. This store definitely isn't fancy but don't let that stop you from getting the best service from the most knowledgeable guys in the biz.
