I had to make an account just to comment on here. Bill and Jim went out of their way for me...AGAIN. I was looking for rear springs for my Crown Victoria to fix a "sagging" issue. With so many different choices I had no clue where to start. Not being very handy with cars Jim explained how each different spring worked. He had an entire presentation explaining how each type worked. He even ordered the ones I was interested in just so I can compare them in person. Needless to say I'm happier than can be and they fixed my issue for much less than Ford quoted me. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE GUYS! I took my car here based on the great reviews I read so I got an oil change that cost me over $50 but I said to myself "you know what, these guys are pros so I don't mind paying a little extra as long as they take care of my car" I brought the car back to get some more work done only to get ripped off and charged over $800 for rigging my horn and cleaning some valves....I was told over the phone that because they were not able to fix my electrical problem that they would not charge me for the time so I said ok thank you but go ahead and fix the horn and the reverse lights for me please..Jim agreed and when I came in I got the bill and he stated that he had put a lot of hours into the car and had to charge me for labor...once again I recalled the great reviews and thought "why would they rip me off" so I paid and Jim told me that if I had any problems to bring it back in...to my surprise I discovered that they had cracked my dashboard pretty bad...so I brought it back less than 5 days later after I saw the dashboard and my rear lights came back on and would not shut off......when I brought the car back...Jim wanted to charge me to look at the car again even though it was something he said he had fixed already even after I reminded him of how (he told me if I had any problems just to bring it back in) and his response was "I cant work on it for free" I refused to pay anymore and when I went to... Bill, with a straight face he denied damaging the dashboard...and even giggled as to say I must be crazy...Jim however knew that Bill broke the dash and was quick to tell me that they would replace it(over the phone he stated that he had to pay over $500 for the new dashboard and when I showed up with the car he stated again only this time he said he had to spend $700 on the dashboard-his way of saying "dont feel bad about spending $800 we had to pay more than half for that dash") and even went as far as to tell me Bill was having problems so that I cut him some slack(straight cons)...Jim went as far as to call me Carlos knowing well that my name is Sal...to ad insult to injury when the dashboard came in he wanted me to leave my truck for 2 days(like I would trust this lying con men with my car again) I said no thanks Jim ill just take the part with me....The last thing I wanted to do was write a bad review about my mechanic but I was so disappointed and felt that I should warn people about these cons...the only honest person there I would have to say is his son...very cool guy and I should have had him look at my car and not Bill(he has problems)...overall a waste of time and 2 con men who think they are slick...all that experience is not in cars its in bullsh***** the customer....good luck. read more

I have using this place for years. They do a good job at the prices they quote you. Good old fashioned neighborhood service with a smile.

People say not much in life is certain (death & taxes...yea yea) but they don't know me. It is certain that I'll lock myself out of my car & my house at least a few x's a year, sometimes I'll get on a roll & hit 3 x's in a month. Getting back to the point, I had once again locked myself out of my car & a guy from BJ's saved my day & in record time.From the time I hung up with him to the time my keys were freed was no more than 10 minutes. Luckily i live right by there but the guy (who was super nice & charming,yet I still can't remember his name) went out of his way to help me. I would recommend them to any friend & I fully intend on taking my car there next time I need anything done. read more

I've never had better service. Took my car to a dealership in Niles 3 times with no luck before coming here and they fixed it the first time. Not only did they finish it within a couple days but the price was no where near what the dealership was quoting me. This shop really knows how to treat their customers. These guys are great! We've been taking our cars here for years. From clunkers to new cars - these guys can take care of it all. Repairs always done right. I think they go the step above because they get to know you over time and always treat you kindly. They quote a price, no surprises. One morning husband noticed my brake light out and so, of course, I was leery about driving around until I could take some time to get it fixed, oil change and tune up coming up soon too. I called on my way to work and they had me bring it in and had it fixed in less than 5 minutes - "just a bulb - don't worry about it, see you later". This reminds me of years of listening to car talk on NPR (Tom and Ray Magliozzi, known a/k/a Click and Clack, the Tappet Brothers) They are definitely not the cheapest guy in town but they can pin-point your problem and help you make a educated decision on the repair. A lot of time it is sense-less to make a $1500 repair on a car that is worth $1750. Keep up the good work guys!!! read more
