Went in on 9/9/2025. I needed to get my tire sensors replaced. 3/4 were bad. I figured since I'm there let me also get an alignment done since I get free alignment with Firestone. About 2 hours after I drop my car off Javier calls me and says they can't do the alignment because I have a list of issues I need to repair 1st. He tells me $2600 for all the repairs. I was shocked. I just had my car serviced a month ago and my mechanic never said anything. I tell him to just replace the sensors and give me my car. Next day I take it to my mechanic and my mechanic tells me that 3/5 repairs that Firestone recommended were COMPLETE LIES. That there was nothing wrong. My Mechanic did say that the other two recommendations were valid and needed repair. Total $550. DO NOT LET THIS FIRESTONE DO ANYTHING TO YOUR CAR OTHER THEN TIRES. read more

Had an emergency situation yesterday where I got a flat on the Kennedy going home to the city. I managed to make it to this Firestone location by filling up at gas stations along the way. I explained my situation to the young girl working the front desk and let her know I was stranded. She said there was no availability to get me a new tire that day, so my only option was to leave my car there until they had time to fit me in, possibly the next day. Frustrated and stuck ( I would have paid anything to get helped out) I asked if I could pay someone to put my spare on for me, because I lacked the proper tools and strength to get the lug nuts off. My car was already on their property- and she denied me. I ended up calling Triple A to come throw my spare on so I could take it to Just Tires in Uptown- who took care of me IMMEDIATELY and calmed my anxiety instead of making me feel like an inconvenience. I ended up buying a full set of tires from them too, so your negligence and complete lack of customer service lost you a sale. Don't waste your time with these people. There are much better places that will treat you respectfully and with care. read more

Actually didn't come here for service, but they were very helpful nonetheless. Car battery was squirrelly, and we weren't sure if it was going to restart, so I asked if we could park it there while we did our shopping, such that they could jump start us if needed. Guy said absolutely and let us park it there. Didnt need the jump, but so grateful for the offer. Can't speak to their repair skills, but customer service is excellent! read more

I've brought my car here a couple of times but this last visit was so awful that I'm questioning if I'm being scammed. I asked to see the bill when I picked up my car because the price I was being charged was different than what I was quoted. I was told I couldn't get a print out and see the charges. I brought my car in to buy new tires. When I drove my car home, the low tire pressure light came on. When I got home, my front-right tire was flat, and the three others were all low. I called the store right away to see if maybe they had just forgotten to inflate the tires. They denied that possibility and told me to bring the car in to have them checked. So, I had to cancel my plans the next day to bring my car back. It took them all day to check and fix my tires. They said they couldn't figure out what was wrong and had no idea why the tires were so low the night before. They couldn't find leaks, punctures, or anything. I checked in every couple hours, and they kept telling me it would be 90 minutes more and 90 minutes more until closing time when I finally got my car back. I had another day without my car because they messed up the job the first time and didn't make me a priority the next day. When I went to pick up the car, there was a bunch of gravel in the driver area. I flagged down a worker and asked for a vacuum, and he shrugged and said they didn't have a vacuum and couldn't clean up the mess. So I got the joy of cleaning up their mess when I finally got home after killing my day waiting for my car. Horrible experience; horrible customer service. Save yourself the grief and go somewhere else. read more

Went into Firestone in norridge again for a tire issue. Found out I went over another nail. I expressed how strange it was that I could have done this again. Nonetheless, Firestone made every attempt to fix the tire but were unable to do so. I felt there were honest attempts made. Got a new tire and even had my alignment checked again and out in a matter of hours- several- but I felt the time the establishment took to take care of things was definitely reasonable. From my experience w this Norridge Firestone is they do what they can for each customer depending on their availability. The last few times I have been here - their work was definitely within a reasonable timeframe. Lastly, a representative named, Gene,went out of his way to fix my key. Took my car there to replace the rotors and pads. A clicking noise started as soon as I left. I called and they were nice about it - they said to bring it back. They checked it out and said that a metal part from the pad broke, but other than that, the pads and rotors are fine. I had to come back on a Saturday. They replaced the pads with new ones. Because of my job, I'm only able to bring it in after 5 for them to check it out, and I have to give up my Saturday mornings to have them repair it. A day after I left, same annoying clicking sound every time the wheel rotates. I brought it back a second time! Same crap. I've been driving for more years than I care to admit, and I've had many brake jobs and in all these years I've never experienced clicking sounds unless it was a damaged part like a caliper years ago. This car is a 2019, it has 45,000 miles. It's not an antique. There's no excuse for sounds when you pay to have things replaced. They're either using inferior parts, or they're not installing it properly. The sound is loud, annoying and I'm pissed! read more

My girlfriend brought her vehicle in for a tire replacement. Not only did these morons put the wrong size tire on the car, a few months later my auto body people ordered 4 tires and rims due to theft on same vehicle. They said the new tires were OVERINFLATED BY 15 pounds!! Over the years I have quite a few negative experiences with Firestone at various locations. But the one in Norridge is really bad !! On July 29th, I set up an appt. for today, August 2nd, to get my vehicle's A/C checked and recharged. But, when I got arrived a few minutes before my appt., there was a delay as the service rep was looking something up after I gave him my name and appt. time; I soon found out that the A/C recharge refrigerant that my vehicle needed could be dispensed only by a dealer... so I could only turn around and leave. Why did I not get a call on the 30th or 31st, or on August 1st or today to tell me that Firestone was not certified (yet) to do the required work? Bad mark, F'stone. read more

I wish I could give this business a half star. I came in to have my alignment done (which years ago, I paid for a lifetime free service). I have a 97 Suburban and I replaced my CV axle and inner & outer tie rods so, I needed an alignment after doing the work. These guys (money hungry) returned my truck in worst condition. I drove about 3 miles and after hearing a popping sound while changing lanes on the expressway, it began pulling to the right. I called them and they hung up on me. I went back up there and the female stated because, I did not get an inspection they could not tell what else may have been wrong with the vehicle but, all they did was alignment and tire rotation. I told her I watched the entire time and at no point did the "tech" remove my tires. She had the "Deer in the headlights" look on her face then stated, "in order to fix the issue, I will need to spend $1500.00 to replace both upper control arms w/ ball joints, sway bar links and both Camber Bolts. However, both upper control arms along with Ball joints are new as well as the sway bar links. I will never go back to Firestone. Oh! they also quoted me $175 to remove the stabilizer bar which is a total of 4 - 10mm bolts (2 per bracket). Although, I paid for the lifetime wheel alignment service, I will never return to them and will be cutting up my Firestone Credit card. I want nothing else to do with them. read more

I wouldn't recommend this to my least liked person I know. I had a small oil leak on my Vehicle, I live close to Firestone, so decided to take my vehicle to Firestone. I dropped it off on a Tuesday morning, was informed that it was a small leak and they would have it done within 3 hours, I called back at the 3 hour mark, stated they still don't have the part from the dealer, called back 2 hours later, stated they were en route with the part from dealer, call back a third time (all along they haven't communicated at all), stated that the dealer never brought the part, I'm then informed it won't get done until the afternoon the following day. I understand things happen, but the lack of communication is a huge Nono. I get a fall the following day that my vehicle is ready for pick up, great. I pick up my vehicle and all appears in order. I then drive to Mchenry county where I get new tires for my appointment 2 days following, I drop off my vehicle and informed I have the wrong wheel lock, confused, I call Firestone, only to find the tech who worked on my vehicle, gave me a complete wrong one, which they tell me, well you can come pick it up, all while being over an hour away. I wasn't able to get my tires on the day of my appointment and had to drive all the way back to Norridge to pick up my tire lock with zero remorse or apology from Firestone. I'm happy this was my first and only appointment, I certainly will not be back. read more

Came back to get more work done after a positive experience and they told me that it would be around $150 more because I didn't get the work done when my car was in previously. To the team that works here if the quote would be higher at a later date by 6 weeks then it is your responsibility to inform the customers of this. A previous 5 star experience, and today a 1. I respect the reason I was told of the up charge yet you need to inform customers at the time of quote of the price difference if service is done later. I left. This was a big waste of my time today. Would select zero stars if I could! I went here for an oil change with a scheduled appointment. Dropped it off and left it and was told they would call when it was done. I called around 5pm because I hadn't heard anything. They said it's not done yet but will definitely be done by 7pm (when they close). Okay. I head over and get there at 650pm. The car hadn't been touched and I'm told they'll get it done if I can wait 25 more minutes!! Ummm NO! You mean to tell me that you can't get an oil change done in 8 HOURS with a previously scheduled appointment!!!! That's fucking ridiculous and I will never come here again! All the negative reviews about this particular firestone are pretty accurate. The staff is rude and they lie about calling you to pick your car up when they're done making their observations of your car had I not called to find out what was going on I would have been out of a car because they would have been closed. I wouldn't spend any money at a business that tries to make you feel stupid about asking mechanical questions when your not a mechanic. It's sad that the men here shine a bad light on this business. I moved from the SouthSide to the NorthSide but I'll just keep going to the Firestone on the Southside even though it's an inconvenience. This place is an inconvenience. read more

So I initially made an appointment here to get a tire replaced. I set an appointment online at like 1:30am when I got home. About an hour before I my scheduled time I got an email that said my appointment was cancelled. So I called the location and explained the situation, and the gentleman shared with me that all the appointment slots were taken by walk ins. Really doesn't make a ton of sense to me. So I go into the website a few days later and set an appt for the 28th of July. I mistakenly thought I set it for the 21st of July, so I show up on the 21st, explain the situation, and understandably, they don't have any space for the rest of the day due to appointments... so I ask the gentleman at the counter when the next available appointment is. He tells me Sunday the 24th at 2pm. Awesome he confirms he'll take all my information from the 28th and move it to the 24th. So I show up on the 24th and guess what happened. The gentleman never changed my appointment. It was still for the 28th. I'm just saying, if you can't even get the date right for when you are supposed to see a customer, how would I expect you to do the work right on my vehicle. Lied to me.....i went in there with my 2 children with a small piece of fiberglass in my tire. They said they couldnt patch it because it was on a angle. Tried to sell me a $140 tire. I told them i was short on cash at the moment and just needed it patched. Hte let me leave with 2 kids and a flat tire instead of just patching it. I took it to another place and they were comfused why he wouldnt just patch it. It wasnt on the sidewall it was in betweten tread and my tires are 90% new. I came in to install new tires on my wife's car , 2 hours later the car was finished . The very next day I had low tire pressure on 3 of the tires . Turns out the tech did not check the seals. Fast forward two weeks later after I came in again , the issue should of been resolved . I get yet another tire pressure issue . Shit service and horrible knowledge. read more

So after leaving work early and driving there, was pretty much told "oh well". If they did have any appointments available then why are they accepting them online? Very unprofessional and ignorant. Had my car serviced for a simple oil change, long story short, they left my oil filter loose and at least 2 quarts of oil spilled on my drive-way and for some reason they replaced my performance air filter and gave me a 4 dollar stock air filter, ( once I complained store manager was nice. And told me to come in and we figure it out, so I went in another manager told me no oil was missing, but I know for a fact that it leaked, after he cleaned my under carriage, he told me to go look at car, and he told me you see I don't see any oil anywhere. So at end they gave me a refund, and all I had to do was bring a receipt and they will replace my air filter. So driving home I noticed my heater was not working, so I checked once I got home and anti freeze was bone dry.... called corporate, and explained my situation and they never called me back. Not following my own review's recommendation, I had them do an alignment on my car when mounting new tires.... Terrible job, couldn't put my alignment in spec. First, aligned my car using the wrong specs - wrong year/different model. Then, when they did have the right specs to align to, they told me that they didn't have the right tools to complete the job - and then they told me they couldn't physically make the adjustment because they'd have to modify the car to set the right value. Went int for a $500 tune up and found out afterwards they only filled my transmission fluid half way and I was having problems changing gears immediately afterwards. Was quoted just over $400 for axle repair. Took my Jeep down to Iggy's down the street, they filled my transmission fluid found my front stabilizer bar was broken (how Firestone missed that, is frightening because the Jeep doesn't even need to be lifted to see that or to even replace it). So Iggy's "axle repair" was $220 for the part and labor, as well as topping off my transmission fluid. I guess Firestone was in such a hurry to swindle their next customer they couldn't have even been arsed to fill my transmission fluid all the way. Or hey, they probably wanted my car back in there again so they could try to leech some more money out of me unnecessarily. So not only can you expect to be ripped off, expect to have shoddy work done on top of it. Do yourself a favor and go to Iggy's Muffler shop a block away on Wilson. They're as busy as they are there for a reason. Quality. read more

These guys are crooks who look to rip off women. I had gone in to get my wife's car's oil changed a few months back. At that time they had seen that it needed some work done within the next few months (brakes / rotors, etc). Given that it wasn't an absolute emergency, I decided to hold off for a little bit. The quote for the work to me was around $500. On the next oil change cycle, my wife took the car in herself. They told her the same story, but this time increased the price and added on some additional "flushes" at another extreme markup. The quote to her was for $1200 - for essentially the same work!!! However, because she was a woman, they used additional "safety" scare tactics to convince her to not leave the store without getting the work done. To add insult to injury, they also convinced her to start putting synthetic oil into the car . . . a 13 year old Honda!! Really??? Nowhere did they mention what they had quoted me previously, and (as you would have expected) she ended up getting the work done for $1200. Needless to say, this is a place that I would never go to again in my life. Not only that, but if you're a female, I would say STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!! These are the kind of crooks that give all repair centers a bad name. read more

Let me set the scene- It was 8am on a Thursday morning and its been raining cats and dogs. I was on my way to work on the Kennedy when the left wiper started to malfunction and it wouldn't wipe. Obviously it was pretty dangerous to drive at that point so I got off at Harlem and pulled into the first auto shop I see which was the Firestone. I walked in, explained my issue to the girl at the counter and her response was, "Our electrician is off today, there's nothing we can do." Without even looking at my car, or see what the issue was, she basically just told me I'm SOL. I'm like WTF, you can't have the courtesy of sending someone to look at the issue before saying there nothing you can do because wipers are apparently an electrical issue that requires an electrician? I'm desperate at this point, its raining and I need to get to work. I begged her to just have someone to look at it but no dice, she keeps on insisting that its an electrical issue and that their ONE electrician is off today. So I left and went to another shop a few mile away. Turns out the problem was a loose screw and the guy there helped me tighten it and problem solved. it was simply fix that the laziness of one worker at Firestone would not even bother to look at. I went in here to get a flat tire changed out for a new one. So it took them not too long, also checked everything that was wrong with my Aurora. Typically, they came with a $6000 total as if I'm gonna spend that much pointlessly. I said no thanks. I got my total for the tire which was $97. *within a week, the tire was flat once again, now along with my back tire. This makes no sense. Just bought a new tire that's already going flat? And now another tire is going flat? I sense some BS. No way this can be possible without them messing with my car. Stay away from this garbage of a place. These guys have figured out the art of under-promising and over-delivering. My hood latch wasn't latching, and (since I do a ton of highway driving) it was causing major issues in my life. I was leaving work and stumbled across this place. I dropped in and they said they couldn't get it in to look at it for 45 minutes and there would be a $20something fee to examine it. I wasn't exited about that, but I dealt with it. Alright. Thirty minutes later not only had they examined it, they had already found out that the part was bad, had to be replaced, had to be special ordered from the dealer and wouldn't be here until the morning, and would cost $200. Not only that, they had gotten the latch to close (so I could hot the highway again!). I didn't have to pay in advance for the examination fee OR the special ordered part... #winning I agreed to come back in the morning and get it taken care of. When I arrived in the morning, I was told that the part wouldn't be there until about noon, so the repair could be ready about 1. I went to Denny's to eat, and got a call at 1130 that my car was done and the cost would be 188 after taxes. That's how you handle business, ladies and gents. I'll be back. read more

I wouldn't recommend having your vehicle taken care by Firestone. I purchased four brand new tires from them and two years later I had a leak in a tire and I was informed by one of representatives that they can patch the tire for $30 but there is possibility if they end up braking a sensor in a tire I'll be responsible for covering a cost to replace it which would be additional $80. read more

Have been getting oil changes with this company for the past year. I appreciate the member discounts they give for any service I need (oil change, brakes, etc.) The customer service is always great. They always greet me by name and in todays instance as I waited in the store for my vehicle, they updated me constantly to let me know exactly what services they were providing and how much longer I would need to wait. The one downside is that I had my brakes done and I noticed they were squeaking constantly after the service. They willingly offered to redo the brakes under warranty at no charge but its a shame they didnt get it right the first time. Especially since I love the friendly and informative customer service staff. The wait is never long either and the locatipn is convenient since I live down the street. I dropped off my car for an oil change and an alignment. They didn't do the alignment because they said I need all sorts of parts replaced on the drivers side and passengers side before they could do it. They gave me an estimate of over $4,000. I gave my dad the print out a couple of weeks later and we went to Orielly's auto parts to buy all the parts. My dad gets under the car and takes everything apart just to find that there isn't any wear on these parts. What the car did need replaced was something from the strut. This part wasn't even mentioned by Fire Stone. This damaged part is what was causing the wiggle in the steering wheel that led me to believe that the car needed an alignment. We went back to Orielly's to return over $400 worth of parts. The part my car needed was just over $30. Need I say more? This place is a rip off. Don't patronize them. read more

They gave me 2 choices, the primewell (the cheapest), and the Firestone..I was about to choose Primewell..and they were like "Just to let you know, you will get what you paid for..." good point, so I chose the Firestone. 3 hours later, the job is done..about to pay and they had me sign that, "I Understood that they put Summer Tires......" and I THOUGHT THAT THE FIRESTONE TIRES WERE ALL SEASON!!!! To my mistake I should have really clarified at first....so I asked and they were like "Since the Firestone has better quality than the Primewell All Season....Firestone has a better grip!"....but it's still a summer tire and its the start of winter......maybe I made a mistake but clearly they capitalized on that.
