The aforementioned crap ton of chips. Less so now because my wife is an unabashed thief.

Let's be frank - it's not the Waldorf. But nothing in ORD is. What it is is a provider of nice, plump Chicago style hot dog and a crap-ton of homemade bbq chips for $7.99 (not including the ungodly Chicago style sales tax). It was a pleasant, relatively inexpensive surprise amidst the madness that is O'Hare. Plus the name is great because I am a high school teacher who is programmed to giggle at all such things

My rating is only for the Chicago Beef Sandwich since that is all I tried. As another reviewer mentioned, BJ's is tucked away in Terminal 3 at the end of the K-wing. Starbucks dominates but BJ's actually has some nice items Chicago Beef, Combo, Chicago Dog and the breasfast sandwiches are made fresh with cracked eggs. I had the Chicago Beef with Vienna Sport Peppers. The meat was really good - very much in the Chicago Beef style. The bun kept the sandwich from garnering 5 stars. The bun was more of a generic, soft bun - not great for a Chicago Beef. If you dipped this bun it in the juices it would literally disaintegrate. But if you want a good Chicago Beef at T3 K-wing, this is a good spot for one.

Located at the end of gate K, under the rotunda, it seemed like the least crowded of the ORD food courts.. not bad chicago style sammiches if you don't have the chance to head into the city and hit a Big Al's or Portillos. Servers didn't seem happy to be there but none to in ORD

I absolutely LOVE Chicago Dogs, as living in VA, we don't have access to the authentic thing... So,…read morewhen in Chicago, I always try to hit a Portillos or someplace that has them and on this most recent visit I was too busy to get any while in town, so I ended up grabbing one here, at Gold Coast while about to fly out. I also equally love a good Italian Beef with spicy giardiniera, so I got one of those as well. The guy taking my order was friendly and when I asked which was better, he told me to go with the Italian Beef. I ultimately chose both and waited for them to be made, which only took a few minutes. Each sandwich comes with an order of fries, but I didn't want that many fries, but they don't sell them (or didn't offer them) without fries. When it came time to dive in... I started with the Chicago Dog and it looked decent, even with one sad slice of tomato across the center. It's supposed to have a small wedge of tomato inside it. The pickled green peppers were all at the back of the hot dog and there were only 2... so, I didn't get a bite of this until I got to that part of the hot dog. The rest of it was on-point! They even used a Vienna beef hot dog. When it came to the Italian Beef, I got the au jus on the side to dip and it came in a small cup, so I poured it onto the sandwich as I was eating it. Unfortunately, the beef was very dry, even though there was a LOT of it there and the spicy gardenia was basic and bland... I hardly noticed it was there. The bread was starchy and dense and not flavored well. Overall, this wasn't a very good Chicago Style Italian Beef sandwich. I really wanted to like this place, as it was my only hope for trying the basics on this visit, but I wasn't too impressed. If I needed to stop in here again in the future, I'll only go with the dog, definitely not the Italian Beef.

Long layover in O'hare so I needed lunch and figured why the hell not? When in Rome, right?…read moreThe space is small and u assuming yet manages to feel like a little shop on the Chicago streets. An army of people was cooking and I ordered a Chicago dog, which came with fries and was about $10. No bad. The meal was ready in about two minutes. Freaky fast . The peppers really accentuated the relish and the dog itself was juicy and perfectly Cooked. Eh on the tomatoes.

This place doesn't even deserve one star. I know, I know, it's McDonald's, in an airport so you gotta give them some leeway. Which I did. I know not to expect much. But this was the most atrocious service I've ever come across for fast food in any airport I've been too, and I travel frequently. They won't take your order at the cash register (which is fine, we ordered from the kiosk anyhow) but did witness them tell people who tried to order they wouldn't take their orders and to order from the kiosk after they stood in line waiting. The kiosk didn't have paper so it wasn't spitting out tickets with your number on it. Snails pace from all employees, they were chatting and making jokes while people were (trying to patiently) wait for their food. They were calling out order numbers but people didn't have ticket numbers since the kiosk wasn't printing ticket receipts, so many people were confused. People waiting for their food for 20-30 minutes. I actually saw multiple orders abandoned because people couldn't wait any longer for their food or they'd miss their flights. Saw at least 4 orders just sitting on the counter that had been abandoned, other people considered just taking them since they weren't sure they'd even get their orders. Spoke up to the employee about our order with a reminder that we don't have a number because the kiosk didn't print one out. Told her what we had and she started working on it. Didn't have one of our items told her it was fine (no refund-but just wanted to get something and run) one of the lucky few in our time frame who received our order (missing an item-Apple pie, also not correct order-three orders of fries, we ordered two so I'm sure some poor bloke was missing their fries, only one cheeseburger when we had two) and had to sprint to our gate and barely made it. Whoever runs this McD's needs to get new staff, or retrain on customer service, and food procedures in general. McDonald's is supposed to be a consistent staple everywhere you go. This place was purely awful. I'm usually only one to write positive reviews but this was just the biggest disgrace that I had to let it be known. Please, for anyone considering, just get the cold sandwich and a bag of chips from the news store next door. You'll be much happier you did.
