I saw all the lower reviews but I had a good experience here. A shorter line and a similar set up to Panda Express in that you can see the food and choose main dishes such as tofu or chicken plus a side such as mixed vegetables, fried rice or noodles. I ordered the two main combo with Chicken Kung Pao and Orange Chicken plus I chose the mixed vegetables option and two egg rolls (which I just realized I wasn't charged for) plus a bottled wster

terminal 3 - food looks good but ... doesnt taste that good lmao far from panda express

The food is wonderful! However, the woman that was checking out was not. She was very passive aggressive. She us up incorrectly and was what I would say angry when I asked for the receipt. She shoot us away. Would not recommend based on that experience. Imagine how many other people she does that too per day at this busy airport.

Manchu wok is one of the worst places to eat! When it's slow the food will sit ALL DAY as most of the management doesn't care, especially the Tofu! Workers had to assume if someone may have been vegetarian as everything contains chicken broth, but is not listed anywhere to let people know! Management was terrible as there were ring cameras put up and would set off sirens on the workers! Also beware as they are not the cleanest and might have pest problems!

After ending up in Chi Town, I was starving but don't really eat fast food. I could not resist the smell. The food was airport expensive but the portions were decent. They actually had some flavor up in there lol. Thanks for the snack! Noodles, mushroom chicken and 1 egg role =15.00

It's not the greatest Chinese food, but it's cheap, quick, and portable, so you can bring to your gate easily if needed. It gets you some protein, some veggies, some carbs before you go. The water bottle was ridiculously priced, but that's every establishment in the airport. I think it made for a fine quick bite, and the employees were quick and friendly.

So I looked around while on my layover for someplace good to eat. Looked at sushi, McD, and here, chose here. Yeah, I would have been better off at McD. I ordered the orange chicken, pepper chicken with fried rice. Oh and a chicken egg roll. Let's go down this road together. The lady behind counter was no help, when you ask her a question she just say,"what you find to order"? Then when asked for soy sauce she would only give me two packets, when wanted more than two she said only need two. Who is she to forced what I want, Plus you'll need the soy sauce. Fried rice had no taste, wait let me take that back, I felt like I chewed on card board. Orange chicken was there for a bit but parts that had not become hard were good. Very dry chicken. I have to say the pepper chicken was good. Enjoyed the big onions and celery. Chicken egg roll had become hard and dry. I suggest ensure staff keep food for only a certain amount of time and customer service training. If you get a customer and they only eat at your establishment once you are losing out. Food tasters for your food so you can adjust or know if workers are all doing it the same.

    Eh.

Wasn't too hungry but after getting teased by American Airlines that I made standby and would get to Albany 6 hours earlier, only for them to take it back leaving me stuck in O'Hare for another 5 hours, I needed some comfort. I saw a lot of people ordering from this place earlier and now had a craving for Chinese. I didn't expect much, but unfortunately it was even worse. Ate maybe half and then tossed the rest and went to Chilis. Live and learn.

The food is greasy and terrible. Bland, service is not any better. Yuck. I would rather eat McDonald's (I don't like McDonald's either).

Mind you we did get dim sum so who knows if the regular dinner dishes would be better. We ordered the staples as attached in the photos. Everything was warm, but not hot. Lacked a lot of flavor. The hottest dish that came out where the shrimp spring rolls. Can't go wrong with those to be honest. Again, like I said, maybe their dinner is better. If I had to compare price wise, I feel like it's comparable to Toronto prices.

Our server was really nice and gave us some good recommendations. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. The shrimp fried rice was nice soft and ... fried! The short ribs came paired with white rice with an amazing sauce. And the salt and pepper beef is to die for. The crab Rangoon's definitely had a little bit too much onion for my taste but overall, this was such a wonderful dining experience. Definitely must try. I would come back again.

Tucked into a no-frills corner on the South Side, Dai Yee's looks modest from the outside, but step in after 10 p.m. and it's pure magic. The room is packed with everybody--sneakerheads, nurses coming off shift, club kids, cops, and couples on first dates who somehow heard the legend. The vibe is chaotic in the best way: woks roaring, orders flying, and that unmistakable perfume of sizzling garlic, ginger, and chili filling the air. The food is straight-up stupid good. The Hong Kong-style salt & pepper smelts are crackly, spicy, and gone in 30 seconds. The beef chow fun has that elusive wok hei (breath of the wok) that most places only dream of, wide rice noodles slick with smoky char and tender flank steak. The black pepper beef tenderloin is velvet-soft, glossy, and aggressively peppery in a way that makes you order extra rice just to survive the happiness. The Singapore noodles are bright curry perfection, and the Mongolian beef is saucy, crispy-edged, and borderline addictive. Portions are straight out of the 90s--massive trays that could feed a family of four for under $15. Cash-only, BYOB, and everything comes out blazing hot in under ten minutes even when the place is slammed. The ladies running the show are legends: fast, funny, and they'll roast you (lovingly) if you can't handle the spice level you asked for. If you leave Chicago without hitting Dai Yee's at least once (preferably at 1 a.m. with a six-pack), you didn't really experience the city. This is real-deal, no-filter, soul-satisfying Chinese food that reminds you why we fall in love with restaurants in the first place. Dai Yee's isn't just a restaurant; it's a Chicago institution in the making. I'd wait in line in a blizzard for those smelts. See you at midnight.

Most importantly, I didn't feel like it was heavy or had that saltiness sometimes left in my mouth for noodle soups - just felt clean and rich. Putting this on my go-tos every time I come to visit now. It is a bit expensive I will say for what I'm used to for a beef noodle soup but perhaps that's the nature of the city or the ingredients being high-quality? I also wish they offered a smaller size for dumplings so I wouldn't have to choose either/or considering the noodle portion is pretty sufficient.

It's crazy it's completely died down by the time we were finished with our meal. The service was great, the interior decor was beautiful and the staff was friendly. The dim sum offered for brunch was good as well but pricey. Especially since some dishes were only offered with two pieces. If you have a party of three then you're kind of forced into buying two of the same dishes. Which is strange. Traditionally most dim sum dishes have three pieces. Rarely see 2 pieces being offered especially for double the price. We ordered their Jiaozi, Char Sui Bao, crab Rangoon, chilly chilli noodles, and their Xiang long Bao. All were great. The chilly chilli noodles is served cold and was very flavorful. The Xiang Kong Bao was amazing. The potstickers was probably my favorite dish and it's mess up char Sui Bao. We were going to order wings but they had ran out I guess by 12pm on a Sunday. I was also going to order fried rice but it wasn't offered for brunch. Overall despite the priciness of the menu, we still enjoyed our food and the service.
