Pepper chicken without the chicken, nothing but cellary. This place is trash.

Pepper chicken without chicken. Nothing but celery, save your money and loose weight by not eating here.

Our expectations were pretty low considering all airport food is usually quite below average. Maybe we just came at the perfect time but the chicken was crispy and very fresh. We enjoyed all of our 3 choices, honey garlic, orange and pepper chicken. The noodles were fairly average but everything was fresh and pretty flavorful

Facts: 1, They dont do meat a la carte, so youre forced to get a full meal (employee said "its an airport thing".) 2, you can count on maybe both hands how many pieces of meat a serving has. Not worth it. Please see photos. 3, flavor: mediocre. Not HORRIBLE, but I wouldnt eat it again if it were free. Service: no complaints. Opinion: What kind of food-court style chinese-american joint doesnt have "bourbon chicken."

I was skeptical to try this place located in the food court. It was either this or go with one of the other fast food options. In line I waited an extra 5 minutes for spicy tofu that tasted so bland(seemed like they skipped the seasoning step altogether). The orange chicken tasted like rubber and the rice was stuck together. The food was not edible! I wholeheartedly understand that you should lower your expectations for food in the airport but if you are paying $17 for two entrees and a drink, then you shouldn't feel sick eating it afterwards. Try the other places.

A really nice alternative at the airport to pizza or burgers. I ordered the orange chicken and I was surprised by the pleasant orange taste and the quality of chicken. The fried rice was good, not great. Overall, I would recommend. The cost was $18 (including $3.99 bottle of water!) and it felt steep, but the portions are large. There was enough for me and my wife to eat as much as we wanted with some leftover.

Ugh, fell into the trap again. I used to like Manchu Wok but their quality has dropped significantly over the years. I stopped here for convenience while rushing and did not finish the food.

It's a case of Manchu Wok v. Edibility at the Concourse C food court.

A few years ago, I left a critical review of the Chinese food spot at Hobby airport. I stand by that review but this place takes the cake. I've been to this location before. Get only their orange chicken and rice/noodles and you can count on a two star experience. This week, I was in a crunch and it was Manchu Wok or go hungry. But surprise, they were out of Orange Chicken. Not like they were making more, but there was a sign informing customers Orange did not exist. Out of hunger, I went for Kung Pao Chicken and Black Pepper Chicken. Both were beyond horrible. Enormous chunks of fatty boney chicken. More celery than chicken. No noticible difference between either item. Most of it ended up in the trash and that's not an avenue I ever like to pursue. Zero stars (which averaged with the two star Orange Chicken, gives us a total of one star). Given the choice between this place and a bag of Hudson News Cheese Ritz Bitz, pick the latter.

This place is fast and pretty good prices for an airport. Food is okay. I had the pick 3 items (only charged me for pick 2). I chose Kung pow chicken. Orange chicken, green beans with beef as well as I chose fried rice (choice of Fred rice or noodles). In addition I got an order of crab Rangoon which he gave me but did not charge me for as well - you get what you pay for as they were very dry and not real hot. Plus a bottle of water for $3.49 plus 5 cent water bottle tax. I received extra entree and crab Rangoon free.

2 item combo. Do half rice & half noodles for more variety!

The hottest dish that came out where the shrimp spring rolls. Can't go wrong with those to be honest. Again, like I said, maybe their dinner is better. The short ribs came paired with white rice with an amazing sauce. And the salt and pepper beef is to die for. Tucked into a no-frills corner on the South Side, Dai Yee's looks modest from the outside, but step in after 10 p.m. and it's pure magic. The room is packed with everybody--sneakerheads, nurses coming off shift, club kids, cops, and couples on first dates who somehow heard the legend. The vibe is chaotic in the best way: woks roaring, orders flying, and that unmistakable perfume of sizzling garlic, ginger, and chili filling the air. The food is straight-up stupid good. The Hong Kong-style salt & pepper smelts are crackly, spicy, and gone in 30 seconds. The beef chow fun has that elusive wok hei (breath of the wok) that most places only dream of, wide rice noodles slick with smoky char and tender flank steak. The black pepper beef tenderloin is velvet-soft, glossy, and aggressively peppery in a way that makes you order extra rice just to survive the happiness. The Singapore noodles are bright curry perfection, and the Mongolian beef is saucy, crispy-edged, and borderline addictive. Portions are straight out of the 90s--massive trays that could feed a family of four for under $15. Cash-only, BYOB, and everything comes out blazing hot in under ten minutes even when the place is slammed. The ladies running the show are legends: fast, funny, and they'll roast you (lovingly) if you can't handle the spice level you asked for. If you leave Chicago without hitting Dai Yee's at least once (preferably at 1 a.m. with a six-pack), you didn't really experience the city. This is real-deal, no-filter, soul-satisfying Chinese food that reminds you why we fall in love with restaurants in the first place. Dai Yee's isn't just a restaurant; it's a Chicago institution in the making. I'd wait in line in a blizzard for those smelts. See you at midnight.

If you have a party of three then you're kind of forced into buying two of the same dishes. Which is strange. Traditionally most dim sum dishes have three pieces. Rarely see 2 pieces being offered especially for double the price. We ordered their Jiaozi, Char Sui Bao, crab Rangoon, chilly chilli noodles, and their Xiang long Bao. All were great. The chilly chilli noodles is served cold and was very flavorful. The Xiang Kong Bao was amazing. The potstickers was probably my favorite dish and it's mess up char Sui Bao. We were going to order wings but they had ran out I guess by 12pm on a Sunday. I was also going to order fried rice but it wasn't offered for brunch.
