Great gluten free option of teriyaki chicken and jasmine rice! It's at the beginning of the international terminal at O'Hare (terminal 5).

    Where's the meat?!?

Airport Wow Bao, just past checkpoint. Great taste, but did they maybe not add ENOUGH meat?!?! There is hardly ANY meat in the Kung Pao chicken bowl... luckily rice flavor fantastic and the pot stickers were YUM!

Maybe I just got lucky, but I found this place very good. While I had to wait a little bit for my Spicy Mongolian Beef bao to be made, the wait was worth it. I found the service overall to be quick and polite, and the food delicious. The bao were large and fluffy with a wonderful sweetness. While I didn't find the beef especially spicy for me, I did enjoy it. Especially when you added some sriracha to it. My daughter ordered the Spicy Kung Pao Chicken and Potstickers, and although the Kung Pao didn't look all that appetizing, it tasted very good with a nice amount of spice. Despite the fair amount of negative reviews for this location, I found the bao good enough to seek out a location close to me and look forward to trying it again.

TLDR version: Pig slop. Avoid with extreme prejudice. Food looks *nothing* like the pictures. If you're a child of the '70s and you can remember "Chop Suey" day in the elementary school cafeteria (that gray slop with chunks of celery in it), then you'll have an excellent idea of the garbage served here. Think of what must be in the pipes on Thanksgiving after everyone has dumped their plate remains into the disposal and turned it on. Add some Chinese five spice and some red pepper flakes and, voilá! Your Wow Bow meal is ready, just as soon as you dig it out. Inedible. Disgusting. See photo for what you get for $15

The prices are jacked up as expected for an airport, but price aside, Wow Bao is my terminal 5 go-go. It's in the food court right after you get through security so it's pretty popular and can be hard to find a place to sit but it's packaged very conveniently if you have to take it to your gate instead. The bowls looked a little sad but the baos never disappoint. The chicken teriyaki and BBQ pork are my favorite. The coconut custard dessert flavor was different but good!

This was maybe 11:30AM when I got here and the gal taking my order tells me that they are out of everything and only have Kung Pao or Orange Chicken and reading the reviews about orange chicken, I decided to go with the Pao. It definitely had a kick but boy oh boi- it was extremely greasy. It was so greasy that I could not even finish the small $10 bowl. I am not expecting airport food to be 5 stars and I am at peace with that but man... Come on maybe try

Whoa, this what they are calling Kung Pow Chicken.
    John-Paul L.

The Kung Pow looks like pig slop. The rice was clumpy and probably a day old. I have never given a 1 star rating, but this place truly deserves it. The bao wasn't great, too. I should have checked yelp reviews. I couldn't finish it and I feel sick. Run from this place.

The service was okay, they were out of a few items. The veggie dumplings were subpar.

Out of the most popular items. I ordered the cheeseburger bao, and it was good. This place lacks basics of customer service. No one there cares, I paid for my order and they were bunch of food left at the end of the table, and you have to use your creativity to figure out which one is your order!

    Hungry L.

Why is the rice mushy when you have a rice cooker? Kung pao chicken was pre cooked and shredded/watery. It should be a stir fry and not a stew.

    Nicole E.

Ordered two bowls, one was chicken teriyaki and the other was Kung pao and both were upgraded to brown rice for an up charge. Both were small dinky bowls and there was most rice in both bowls. The chicken teriyaki was so skimped out on teriyaki chicken mix and maybe had 1/4 cup at most, the Kung pao at least had a 1/2 cup was still a rip off for what you get. As far as taste does they tasted no worse or better than the crappy fast food at a Chinese food court in some run down mall. Suffice to say the food was awful and not worthy of human consumption. What's worse is the chicken was in small pieces and as a whole looked like dog food, sickening really.

    Looks good but.......

The hottest dish that came out where the shrimp spring rolls. Can't go wrong with those to be honest. Again, like I said, maybe their dinner is better. Tucked into a no-frills corner on the South Side, Dai Yee's looks modest from the outside, but step in after 10 p.m. and it's pure magic. The room is packed with everybody--sneakerheads, nurses coming off shift, club kids, cops, and couples on first dates who somehow heard the legend. The vibe is chaotic in the best way: woks roaring, orders flying, and that unmistakable perfume of sizzling garlic, ginger, and chili filling the air. The food is straight-up stupid good. The Hong Kong-style salt & pepper smelts are crackly, spicy, and gone in 30 seconds. The beef chow fun has that elusive wok hei (breath of the wok) that most places only dream of, wide rice noodles slick with smoky char and tender flank steak. The black pepper beef tenderloin is velvet-soft, glossy, and aggressively peppery in a way that makes you order extra rice just to survive the happiness. The Singapore noodles are bright curry perfection, and the Mongolian beef is saucy, crispy-edged, and borderline addictive. Portions are straight out of the 90s--massive trays that could feed a family of four for under $15. Cash-only, BYOB, and everything comes out blazing hot in under ten minutes even when the place is slammed. The ladies running the show are legends: fast, funny, and they'll roast you (lovingly) if you can't handle the spice level you asked for. If you leave Chicago without hitting Dai Yee's at least once (preferably at 1 a.m. with a six-pack), you didn't really experience the city. This is real-deal, no-filter, soul-satisfying Chinese food that reminds you why we fall in love with restaurants in the first place. Dai Yee's isn't just a restaurant; it's a Chicago institution in the making. I'd wait in line in a blizzard for those smelts. See you at midnight.

If you have a party of three then you're kind of forced into buying two of the same dishes. Which is strange. Traditionally most dim sum dishes have three pieces. Rarely see 2 pieces being offered especially for double the price. We ordered their Jiaozi, Char Sui Bao, crab Rangoon, chilly chilli noodles, and their Xiang long Bao. All were great. The chilly chilli noodles is served cold and was very flavorful. The Xiang Kong Bao was amazing. The potstickers was probably my favorite dish and it's mess up char Sui Bao.
