Really upset. Spent 60 plus dollars on 1 drink that had no alcohol and tasted like orange juice, a clam chowder bowl and an ahi salad. 60.00 for soup salad and a drink! Rip off!! Told my server I had celiac allergy, brought me a salad with dressing with soy sauce, which I took two bites of and now am suffering, horrible service. Did not get my drink for 20 min then it tasted like orange juice. After bringing me, the wrong salad brought me another one with no dressing, but forgot the tomatoes. Then I had to ask for tomatoes. BJ's is one of our favorite restaurants in all of the greater Austin area. Excellent food, fantastic beer with a nice quest beer selection. We love watching the games here. And on a recent visit we were very impressed with our server Vicroria, she was extremely polite, very attentive one of the best servers we ever had here. Great job. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. My friend and I walked into BJs for dinner around 4pm. The restaurant was pretty empty. No one was at the host stand to greet us. We stood at the front waiting for a table for about 10 minutes. Many employees saw us standing there. A few even walked right by us without saying hello or anything at all. After waiting for a few minutes we decided to leave. I work in the restaurant industry and I would NEVER walk past customers without saying hi or asking if they're being helped. We called an hour ahead to secure a table. They told us when we get there we would be first to be seated. We then called ten minutes before we got there to make sure that we would be seated right away as we had other plans after dinner. However, when we got there they told us we would have to wait 30 to 45 minutes to be seated. If you have plans don't plan on going here, you won't get seated in time. read more

Friend and I came here on a Friday night after a movie and had some small plates. We ordered the chicken lettuce wraps and the meatballs and liked them. The lettuce wraps came with spicy mustard and I thought, "how hot could this be?" so i doused a wrap in it. Oh man was I wrong, that mustard is spicy AF and my sinuses were on fire. Good thing is it comes with another sauce, so I used that one for the rest of my wraps. My friend said the meatballs were good and just the right serving size for a small bites. read more

Had a great lunch today w my kids. Z was our waitress and she was fabulous. We got there at 11:15, she appeared to be the only server on at the time but she handled the 4 tables she had flawlessly. This restaurant is very clean and has a nice atmosphere. The happy hour had very good deals. The wings are really good and the BJ brand beers are also pretty good. The service was quick and friendly. Our server was Kelly and she was very attentive without being annoying. I have been here twice and both times the service was very good and the restaurant is clean and not too loud. You can actually have a conversation without the music being too loud and it's a great spot to relax and have some drinks. Their cocktails are also delicious. Both times I went here were great experiences and exactly what you would expect from this type of restaurant. - Awkward wait for hostess (about 5 mins - nobody was at the station) upon entering. - 10+ minute wait for a table. We arrived around 3pm on a Saturday, to see several tables open that were not blocked off for COVID reasons. A few parties that walked in the door after us just walked out to avoid the wait. - Food is just not that great at this location. I've been to several BJ's around the country & this one's cuisine is just not up to par. I used to love this place. I just received my large bjs favorite delivered by grubhub, and boy were we dissatisfied and disappointed! The pizza lacked sauce and was hella doughy. The pizza was ALL dough and some sauce. Half the pizza was missing toppings. I even paid for extra cheese, which wasn't there! We did eat it all but we were so so disappointed. I dont know if it's just the cedar park location that sucks or all of the local locations, but I've never been disappointed by them before in California. Oh well...what can u do? read more

Service was lacking. Server passed by my table several times but never filled my empty glass with water until I asked for it. Food quality was ok. Calamari was a bit salty. Spaghetti & meatballs was very bland, the spaghetti was too mushy for me. I like my pasta al dente. The garlic knot was missing. The plating alone was not appealing at all. The pizza was so and so. A real disappointment- Never again!!! This needs to be addressed and get on the program- Who oversees this place? This is one of our go to spots. GREAT beer selection! We love that the menu has so much to choose from. Can't say we've had a bad meal and if anything is ever not 100% they fix it immediately. This restaurant In cedar park Texas was dirty and staff were rude .We saw a roach in the lobby and after not being greeted for a half hour we decided this was not the place we should stay for our family of kids included . There were others in the restaurant that had not been waited on as some of the waiters smoked in the corner as others sat waiting to be attended. I felt that it was not a place that wanted to serve guest . Awful service. On top of the awful service our waitress dumped an entire glass of ice water on me/ my 2 year old, and only handed me a couple of napkins. No remorse. I even had to tell her to get someone to clean up the huge puddle next to our table, because I didn't want other patrons to slip/ as well as myself with my two year old in my arms. I get off work after 10:00pm, my guy wanted a drink and food and I was starving, so we went to a place by my work one Wednesday night, only to find their kitchen closed at 10:00! Now where?!? The great bartender told us to check out BJ's Brewhouse in Cedar Park and I'm glad he did! They serve REAL food until 12:00 pm (maybe even later?) had plenty of big screen TV's, a clean, comfortable bar area, a fantastic spirits selection, house-made beers, and a reasonably priced, reverse happy hour! We started with the fried avocado egg rolls (mmmm!), he had the chicken pita tacos, I had the chicken cutlets with mashed taters and veggies and then we threw caution to the wind and ordered a fresh made giant pretzel cookie with ice cream and warm caramel sauce! They told us when we were seated that we might have to wait for a server so the wait was expected. It wasn't that long. Server was very nice. The drinks came in dirty glasses that we had to send back. Food was mediocre. I give the server great marks and the cook fair. Dishwasher no stars. read more

I would give this place a solid 3-stars. It's a trendy sports bar atmosphere with more whisky bottles behind the bar than the local liquor store. Definitely a bar before a restaurant. The food is good; nothing special, but no complaints either. It's a little pricey for what you get so you're paying for the chain-store-sports-bar atmosphere; lots of 60' flat screens around the wall.. I had the fish and chips (a pub standard) and the batter on the fish was heavy and rather oily. They served a "special hand made" tartar sauce that didn't taste like tarter sauce at all. That was a let down for me as I really like tartar sauce with my fish. If they want to offer something different along with tarter sauce, that's fine. But calling that stuff they had tarter sauce was a letdown. The noise level was uncomfortable for me, and I'm kind of hard of hearing so I imagine it's really loud for most people. There are about 16 Bose speakers (you know: No highs, no lows, it must be Bose) in the ceiling that are turned up louder than necessary, so everyone has to speak very loudly to their dinner partner & that just added to the noisy atmosphere. All it lacked was the thick cloud of cigarette smoke hanging in the air of days gone by. read more

It's that time of year for the pumpkin ale. This was the first time for us to try it. I was excited cuz other years we have missed out and we have heard such great things about it. Well, It was delicious. All there beers are great we really enjoy them. We love there apps. We usually start out with the flatbread pizza. Great sauce and love the crispy crust. This trip we tried the wings. Yum yum. They are fried great. We got the Nashville hot sauce. It was great. Kinda sweet and hot. Perfect combo. Next we ordered the chips with salsa and guacamole. Oh yum. The salsa is fire roasted. Goes really great with there beers. The guacamole was excellent. Kinda chunky and had great flavor. Well we were still hungry so we tried the sliders with fries. Been coming here for years and have spent a ton of money at this establishment. But this time coming here I was highly disappointed in the food presentation and mainly quality. Let's start with water and lemons sounds easy but no I was give rotten lemons that were visibly brown and slimy. Then I Ordered soup and salad Caesar salad and clam chowder was my choice. Clam chowder comes out like warm and the potato wash mushy and clams very hard. Definitely not fresh at all. And my salad was browning on the romaine lettuce. Such a disappointment. As for my partner he asked for his wings well done then did not cook to order. And his burger was over cooked. BJ's was always one of my favorite restaurants, but not this location. I ordered a family bundle meal directly from their website. I got a call from the door dash driver a bit later and he said they had no record of my order. I texted him a photo of my e-receipt and he showed the manager. Apparently they didn't have the Shrimp Scampi -Tri-Tip Bundle I ordered at this particular restaurant so the order cancelled automatically and I got no notification from the restaurant. The Door Dash driver had to cancel my order and he said someone from BJ's would be calling me. They called and said they could have another bundle with a different item ready and cooked in about 15 minutes. I said ok. that works. 30 minutes later I get a phone call asking when I was coming to pick up the order? I said I ordered delivery, not pick-up. He said, "you have to order on our website to get delivery." I told him I did the first time. He just, "Oh". So I said, "So you are not going to deliver this?" he said he couldn't. So I just said refund my money and this is the last time I will be going to this store. You would think that maybe a manager would have called back to apologize or something, but nothing. I've had lunch here a few times so it is about time I write a review. Yupper it's a chain and they have a menu that goes on for ever. I really wish these restaurants would just slim down their ginourmus (sic) menus. So we sat in the bar area for a late lunch and as you would imagine the lunch rush was over. I'm pretty sure there was only one server as service was pretty slow. Our server, Nick, did a good job but we should not be sitting for 10 minutes before our menus are provided. Plus it took quite a bit of time to get our beers and when they arrived it was sans mine, keg problem. I was ready to throw in the towel and just head over to In-N-Out but plus 1 overruled me. While we are on the topic of beer BJ's has a pretty extensive tap selection. Hopefully next time my Ballast Point IPA will be servable. Lunch: I opted for a new menu item a Peruvian salad with shrimp. This salad is served warm with Quinoa and was excellent. Plus 1 had a chopped chicken salad and said it hit the spot. So in spite to the slow start it's alls well that ends well. I can see myself stopping by again for lunch and a few of their tap beers.... or maybe just for a beery beery good happy hour. read more

My 1st time here in Austin my wife and along with her cousin stopped for Drinks. They have a wide selection of beer but was disappointed in that they didn't carry a good Stout. The BJ brand on tap was nitro brewed.. the taste and experience is similar to ordering a coke and it's flat....my wife had a great sour apple martini(s). Point is if you want to make customer come back then refund is not an option. Offer to come back. I also took one star for service. Can you do less than one star? We walked in on my BIRTHDAY, we had a horrible day in Austin with trailer trouble. Finally got our trailer fixed . Found the nearest restaurant, BJ's Brewhouse. The manager refused to serve us because of our appearance. We are normal people who have been to the lake and had our trailer break down. Not perfect, not horrible. She said we were drunk and would not serve us.? How does a disheveled appearance equal "drunk"? There were 5 people in our party. We left went to Longhorn Steakhouse and had a lovely dinner. I rarely give bad reviews, but the food here was not edible. The last time I visited a BJ's, I had a shrimp quinoa bowl and it was AMAZING. That was at a different location and was the reason I was willing to try something new here. Here, I ordered the shrimp scampi and was taken aback by how it looked when it arrived. It looked bad and tasted even worse... I had to keep myself together... it was TERRIBLE. The kind of terrible where I know that boiling barilla pasta and heating ragu would have produced a better result. This was a 1 out of 10 food experience and getting the $60 bill for the two dishes my daughter and I had was icing on the cake. I am always scared to send food back so I tried to make it work, but it was horrible. I ended up trying to eat it.. but... ... Sad face... never again... read more
