I've had such a horrible experience with this BJ's location and I hate it because I typically love BJ's. On Sunday July 19th I placed an order online, when I arrived to pick up my order I was told by Elizabeth Alvarez (a manager) that my payment never went through at that point I logged to my banking app on my phone and noticed there was a hold for the amount of $141 by BJ's I did make it a point to show this to Elizabeth she explained that sometimes there are glitches and blah blah blah so she asked me to swipe my card again and gave me a free appetizer so I swiped my card again this time for $137 and she assured me that I would get a full refund back to my card for the initial $141 I paid It is now Monday July 27th 6 business days later no refund no call back I've called about 4 times and I've spoke to two other managers who keep telling me they'll call me back Yesterday I spoke to a lady who said she was a manager i don't remember her name i believe it starts with an M she was not nice at all and was mad at me for following up on this matter Their customer service sucks! I ordered online for curbside pickup scheduled for 6:35pm. I was there right on time and checked-in with the link texted to me. There were no other cars waiting, the runner took my order number and thought I'll be done soon. Somehow four other cars came and went. I called the restaurant and was placed on hold for 15 minutes. It was 7:05pm before my food was finally taken to me. The manager apologized and said he'll email a discount but nothing yet. To make matters worse, once home (2 mile drive): the chicken nachos were cold, no ranch dressing given for kids tenders, no dressing for tri-tip salad given, no ketchup for fries given, no straws for the drinks given...not even utensils & napkins given! Horrible service!! Stopped in on a Friday for dinner with my daughter and a friend. My daughter's order, which was spaghetti PLAIN was screwed up 3 times. We sent it back the first time because the spaghetti was cold. It took over 35 mins to get the spaghetti back, I had to remind the waitress twice to check on her spaghetti. When we got it back, it was not plain, it was saturated in olive oil. There was at least 1/4 of a cup of olive oil at the bottom of the bowl. GROSS!!! We sent it back again. 25 minutes later we were still waiting on her spaghetti. By this time I asked for the manager who was absolutely useless. We finally got her spaghetti for the third time and it was cold and mushy. Unacceptable!!! read more

I ordered lunch from here today. The burger was not only made incorrectly, but it had a lot of pepper in one section. The burger was so charred on the outside, it tasted like eating a briquet. I also ordered a fruit cup and it had to be tossed. There was rotten and moldy berries in it. To compensate, they gave me a courtesy card to use for dining in. But I only order delivery from this location. So! That adds insult to injury. I will not gross you out with pictures of the rotten and moldy fruit. No lunch for me today! Very upset about this Bj's location. I went in with some friends for a birthday dinner. Once getting seated they took forever with our drinks and appetizers. Besides that once we received our meals they gave me and my friends broccoli that tasted old , rubbery, and was black like rotten! I was so disgusted that I couldn't eat the rest of my food. I love bjs restraurant my fave location is West Covina. I do like that this location that's it is by the mall. I always enjoy my Alabama sunset and spicy pig tavern cut well done crispy. Tonight hubby and I decided to have date night and I felt like the service could have been better hubby is such a 20% tipper. The bartenders seemed to be distracted by certain regulars and or past employees. I prefer bjs in Montebello honestly over this location it use to have good service but not anymore. You just can't go wrong eating at bjs. They've got loads of options to choose from. So many beers to choose from and a decent selection of mixed drinks. There's something at bjs for every one in my opinion. During my recent visit I had their dinner for two offer and it was great. Low on the cost and you get a starter salad or soup, a specialty pizza, plus a dessert to share. The service was exceptional, I can't complain. Pizza is bomb, I personally prefer with the tomatoes on top, my bf doesnt though so more for me!!! Chicken marsala is ok. Drinks are pricy; Strawberry lemonade is great if you have a sweet tooth. Obviously the pazooki is a must for dessert (cookie with ice cream on top);my favorites are chocolate chip and red velvet. I LOVE BJ's. Their food, service, and ambiance. I thought I already reviewed this place but, what the hell. Parking is horrific at this location and now that the Wild Wings spot has opened up, it's even worse. This is a large location though and is always packed on a game night. You can call ahead which is great to place your name on the list but sometimes you still gotta wait. The outdoor seating is comfy for all weather, well except windy, but they cover the sides with a clear plastic tarp so it downs;t get too hold, and they have heated lamps in the ceiling. Food's really good overall. I've had nachos, pizza, tomato bisque, salads, sandwiches, plenty of beer variety, oh and that hand crafted Root Beer is really tasty. So this place can actually satisfy any hunger and they have a great variety to eat and drink from. The service is really good too. After all the times I've been here I've never had a problem to harp about. read more

I was invited here the other night for a get together. I am familiar with the BJs, but this specific new one seems like less of a brewery and more of corporate blandness. The decor reminds me of a hotel lobby or PF Changs. Granted, it was obvious that they spent money fixing up the place with the nice 103" HD Plasma TV, but this place really lacks distinct character. Moving along, the food was ok, the beer was good and the prices were reasonable. The power went out briefly during the Laker opening game (shame, shame, we know your name!). See my picture! Around this time they have a brew called Pumpkin Ale which is smoother than the Sam Adams seasonal Octoberfest. The food on most chain restaurants is usually good but BJ's is by far the best chain restaurant in town and the customer service is awesome. I have never had anything I didn't like from the buffalo chicken pizza drizzled in ranch, bar-b-que chicken pizza, great white and my new favorite...grilled chicken pesto with parmiggiano reggiano sprinkled on top. Avocado eggrolls, club sandwiches, chicken pasta and many things. But don't forget dessert even if you're full take it to go!!!! Pizookie is delicious, they can give you two flavors of cookie and do halfs, they have mini ones too if you're watching your diet. I feel like I'm advertising but BJ's deserves it. read more

Great place to come if you have time to kill. The food is great, but the service is a little slow. If you are in a hurry during the lunch hour, you should call in your order ahead of time. I have attended this BJs several times but I found myself with the same issue as the Montebello location, bad service and mediocre food. Service here on a busy night was horrible. But I don't understand why the staff isn't trained properly to handle large crowds along with the busy peak hours. This BJs is located in the Stonewood Plaza, which is a very popular area for Downey so expect it to be crowded Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night. This place has gone really bad, I understand Mother's Day and short staffed . But when u get there and order at 4:20 and u are told the order will be done at 5:40. Then at 6 and every ten minutes after u keep asking and getting ignored. Then at 6:55 they call your name , it is totally unacceptable. I won't be returning and I will be getting a hold of corporate. The hostess was awesome and the food is great and a fair price.... Here is why I won't be back. I went to lunch today as I often do and sat at the bar so as not to take up a table for two or four. After a reasonable wait, maybe 5 minutes I was acknowledged and my order was taken. There were 5 people at the bar area in an area that seats roughly 15 people. There were three very lovely ladies sitting to my left who where taking up a staff of three people. Great service. For them. So I wait for my small pizza. (My $16 small pizza) 15 minutes, 20 minutes, 25 minutes. After 30 minutes I signal my bartender (who was busy doing bartender stuff with the ladies) I had not heard from him since he set my place setting 1/2 hour prior. I inquired as to the status of my $16 small pizza. Here is the thing. I realize the kitchen gets backed up. I get it. I am in retail for God's sake. Things happen. But....to be ignored, for 1/2 hour without so much as a "I will go check on your order", "it's will be just a few more minutes", "do you want another glass of wine". Unacceptable.. Icing on the Pizza? I ate one quarter of the pizza and inquired about the check. Oh my credit card was charged in record time. But I was not offered a "to go" container for the 3/4 of my remaining pizza. Maybe there is a minimum charge before BJ's offers you a "to go" container? There is a reason the word "Service" is used in the Food Service Industry. I spent a great deal of money over the years entertaining clients at BJ's at the Stonewood center. No mas. read more

Constantly messing up orders and servers lacking interest as well as management being complete morons. Everything went great, fast seating and my salad and pizza came out pretty fast too. It wasn't crowded at all and my waiter was good and made sure I had all I needed. I placed an order online for take out to be ready at 3:30pm. I was waiting in line to pick up my order but the cashier was on the phone for over 10 minutes and the other woman next to her simply said "we will be right with you." Thankfully a nice man jumped in and started to pack my order and help check my order out. I ordered a 2 flavor pizookie which was sad looking and after my 15 minute wait in their lobby and 2 minute drive back to work, my ice cream was melted. My chicken tortilla soup should be called Tortilla Soup as there was 2 tiny pieces of chicken in it. My ranch dipping sauce is unbelievably salty ... how do you get ranch wrong?
