It's elegant, modern, and each section of the restaurant offers a different atmosphere for your choosing - darker and gothic, or, in the back, brighter and more modern. The service was fantastic, as you would expect. Everyone was so friendly and attentive, and they didn't make any fuss when I asked to change tables. The food overall was very good. - Beef Fat Fries: Very very good - The Steak Tartare was also good. I think it needed a bit more flavor - maybe more mustard or capers. - Caesar's Salad was so good, and those sesame churros were fantastic. - Oysters were good. - Ribeye steak was good. For what you're paying I expected something closer to a steakhouse quality cut and cook, but it was still good. And I liked the Yorkshire pudding. - Gnocchi, Asparagus, and Creamed Spinach were all good. - Rockfish was smaller than I thought it would be, but also good - The Prime Rib was also very good. I think it could have been helped by a little more flavorful au jus on the side. We really appreciated the Laguiole steak knives they gave us. They're not like those terrible dull bulky knives you get from even high-end steak houses. Overall a very pleasant dinner. Not sure it's worth the price tag, but there aren't a lot of options nearby for nicer restaurants - besides the Tasting Room.

I liked how they had a leaderboard for frequent customers though. That was cool to just stare at. The location has parking on the rocks and it was full by 6 pm on a Thursday. There is outside seating and limited inside seating. The bar area looked fairly busy because it was happy hour time. Its an old timey restaurant with a more mature setting that made us think of places like eating on Kent Island or Annapolis or St. Michaels. It is a hidden gem here - especially where it was located. We did notice that there was a dominant demographic dining here. We felt a bit out of place, but don't care, the deviled eggs were too good.

The kids that were working there seemed like they enjoyed their jobs. I also liked that the restrooms were spotless. On the negative side was that the place was cramped and dingy. And, there were also some foul, food-related, smells on the way the the spotless restroom. And, on the "meh" side was the milkshake itself. I ordered a strawberry shake. What I got was some vanilla custard(-like stuff) with some strawberry syrup and a bit of jam stirred in.

I understand Sunday brunch is busy, but I work in a concierge-driven environment and was genuinely disappointed by the lack of hospitality. The food was mixed. The chicken and waffles and the omelet were good. My husband's steak was cold and the portion was very small. He ordered French fries but received unseasoned potatoes that lacked any flavor. My fish and chips were fine but also lacked seasoning, lemon, or any attention to detail. I specifically requested fries without Old Bay but received fries heavily coated in it. We also ordered a steak and eggs meal to go, which took about 30 minutes. When it was opened later, it contained only three small slices of steak. My brother-in-law genuinely thought he had been given someone's leftovers because the portion was so disappointing. My husband quietly paid the $300 bill while I still hoped someone might acknowledge the birthday or retirement with a simple mention, smile, or thank you. It never happened. We were never even offered a desert menu. We left without a goodbye or any acknowledgment from the staff. Disappointed doesn't begin to describe how we felt. We had many options in Frederick but chose Showroom because we expected a special experience. We started with the fried calamari as an appetizer. The calamari had a delicious crunchy coating and was not chewy. For pur main dishes, my wife had the pecan and coconut crusted flounder and I had the seafood jambalaya. Both dishes were excellent with generous portions. Neither of the dishes were overcooked, with the flounder was light and prepared perfectly. Prices were reasonable and worth every penny, especially with how generous the portions were. We will definitely be going back to try other dishes and recommend giving this restaurant a try.

Unfortunately for them, I just had that at Fisherman's Crabdeck near Annapolis as well and that totally smashed the soup at Ragin by comparison. Our server was good though and attentive. I just wished the food was a little better.

The two lovely ladies bartending were wonderful- friendly, polite and prompt with the service. To my pleasant surprise they actually had henny there. Didn't get to try the food yet but sure will sometime, heard it was good. Cocktail menu was decent. Just know on show nights they close the kitchen a little earlier. Will deff be back!

So barely 3 minutes after walking up to the entrance, we were heading back to our truck. The chefs were still there and immediately asked us why we weren't staying to eat. When we explained that we hadn't realized they closed at 7:30, they looked at us and said, "Go back in there and tell them we said we're still open for you guys." We were a bit concerned that we'd cause hard feelings and said we could just come back a different day, and they wouldn't have it. "We're the guys who'll be cooking, not them, if we're okay with it, then what have you got to lose?" We looked at each other and thought briefly and headed back up to the entrance. I had mentioned that I had a spur of the moment 'hankerin' for German Food, and he said, "Well, you're at the right place!" Before we got back in the front door, one of the chefs (we learned shortly after were the owners) was already letting the bar staff know to get us seated and taken care of. My girlfriend ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu, and I ordered the Pork Schnitzel. We of course sampled each others' dishes and it was beyond amazing on both entrees. Some of the best schnitzel I've had NOT in Europe, and the mushroom onion gravy was so savory and rich. The Chicken was loaded with flavor and I could definitely see that being on a future order for myself. After we were beyond stuffed, we decided to split a dessert for the occasion and had the Chocolate Mousse Cake. When the bartender learned it was our first anniversary, she made sure to get a candle to put in the cake for us, it was a very nice and welcoming touch. The bar staff was on their game with the service, keeping drinks full and checking on us frequently to make sure we were good to go. There were only two other tables still seated in the restaurant at that point, and they were actually there already eating when we first arrived. They were still there when we departed, so we assumed they may have been family friends or locally important patrons. The ambiance of the restaurant has a very British Pub feel to it, and it is so amazingly cozy and feels like home. We both left with an amazing impression and cannot wait for another chance to try some of the other menu options. I'm very curious to try the Filet Mignon next time, but the Stroganoff looked quite tempting as well. I think we both found a place that we'll absolutely keep on the short list of places to revisit next time we're in town. It was such a memorable experience and we so greatly appreciated the flexibility and hospitality they demonstrated. That type of service is so hard to find these days.
