What is this slaw supposed to be? Just draw grass?
Jess L.

We ordered the Korean ribs and a large pepperoni pizza to go. Unfortunately, I don't recommend the Korean ribs at all. The ribs were mostly bones with very little meat and definitely not worth the $15.99 price. The slaw underneath was dry and felt more like plain lettuce than coleslaw. If I had been closer, I would've returned it immediately. On the positive side, the large pepperoni pizza was really good. It had plenty of pepperoni and was much better than the ribs. It is a bit overpriced for pizza that isn't fully custom, but quality-wise, it was solid. Bottom line: the pizza was a win, but do not order the ribs. I have eaten here before.. this is just my review of a menu item

My wife and I were out running some last-minute errands before we left for our November cruise. It was late into the evening and dinner time. Since we were already at the mall, BJ's was the perfect place stop in for dinner. My wife took advantage of the $13 Italian Chicken Parmigiana Pasta Lunch Sized special that also included a Pizookie. She ordered a chocolate chip one. I decided on the 1/2 rack of slow roasted baby back ribs accompanied with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. My entree also included a Pizookie. I decided on the salted caramel one. Oh my, what a wonderful dinner was experienced. My wife loved her Chicken Parmigiana, and my rib entree was definitely "fall off the bone." It was fabulous. To end our phenomenal meal with two Pizookies was too much, but we indulged. Thank you, BJ's for a nice experience, superior service and restful dining.

We were seated just moments before the rush, which is always a good thing. Everyone gave this place rave reviews, and since we don't have one where I'm from, it was a nice change of pace from the usual Applebee's or Chili's type spots. I had a burger and we tried the Pizookie, only because I was told that's what they're known for. I went with the strawberry shortcake version and honestly, I just enjoyed the ice cream. The cookie was undercooked in the center and I'm not a fan of raw cookie dough. The server was amazing though. She was friendly and attentive, and I'd go back for that if someone else wanted to, but probably not on my own.

I joined a friend a few nights ago for a catch up dinner. Honestly, we didn't really eat dinner but had a meal of appetizers. We thought it was a great move. The service was great. Taylor was attentive and kind. As always a nice atmosphere and not too loud.

Came here with a large group, 10 people and kids. Oshea was a great water and ensure we got appetizers out and our ordered taken care of. He was able to recommend the special of the day 8 oz filet that comes with two's sides and a dessert for $19.99. I also had the wings and they were cooked very welll. I would have liked a little crispier but the sauce made up for it.

Weekend special. Prime rib (medium rare), white cheddar mashed potatoes and asparagus. DELICIOUS

Server was amazing. Food came out fast and was delicious! BJs is always one of our gotos and this visit was pretty much perfect.

Amazing experience after a bad one we had at a nearby restaurant! We had low patience when we arrived at BJ's after being ignored by wait staff at another restaurant for several minutes. We walked right in and were immediately sat andl taken care of by our server! It was such a night and day difference and the server had no idea we were still in mental recovery from our last dinner attempt! Remember, in the food service industry as a consumer don't get mad just generous with your tipping when well taken care of ...around 22% !

Super nommy! We got the pizookie deal and it was just the right amount of food! Our server was quick to take our order and was a delight. It was Thursday night and very nice place to chill! Will be back!!

Horrible experience here. The food was under cooked and there were roaches everywhere! We literally killed 3 while sitting in our booth!

However, I went to the bar to buy a drink after dinner and she took issue with the $20 I handed her for payment. It was an older $20 from before they changed the design. She held it up to the light and was looking for the strip and said that because it didn't have the strip that she couldn't accept it. I looked at the bill and saw that it was a 1988 bill. I told her this and she said it should still have the strip in it. I didn't want to argue so I happily paid using a different $20, but my curiosity got the better of me later that evening and I looked it up and she was incorrect. They did not start adding the strips until 1992. I could understand if it was some youngster that might only be familiar with the newer bill design, but she was not young. I also would have accepted her stance if she said it was hotel policy to only accept bills that have the strip. The way the interaction took place left me feeling accused of trying to pass a counterfeit bill. A little more tact would have gone a long way here. I feel like a hotel manager would be more in tune with customer service. Funny enough, I went back to the bar the next night and paid with the $20 in question. The bartender on duty that night accepted it without batting an eyelash. Food was just okay. Our group tried a variety of menu items: Ribs, wings, carbonara, salmon, pretzel appetizer, hummus, and maybe a couple other things. Ribs were probably the best thing, but nothing really stood out.

If you miss your High Schools cafeteria food, this place is for you!…read moreMy Husband and I arrived around 4:30 on a Saturday, the sign said "open", but the place was completely dark with the exception of a TV on in the corner and a kid sitting there doing his homework. The kid got up and turned on the lights for us. No one else was visible in the restaurant. A woman finally came out of the back room and stood at the tall counter. I guess we were expected to walk up there to place our order, which we did. I ordered brisket without the bun and fries, my husband ordered a pork sandwich with mashed potatoes and french fries. We were served on foam plates and given a package of plastic utensils with napkin, salt and pepper. My Husband asked for ketchup and was directed to the self- serve corner with little packets of condiments. I didn't get french fries, but a hunk of iceburg lettuce and a thimble of ranch dressing along with a spoonful of corn from a can, to go with my hunk of meat that had all the flavor of, um... boiled meat. I told that lady that I had ordered Fries not a salad, she just stared at me like I was speaking a foreign language. Needless to say, I never got my french fries. My Husband got his pulled pork sandwich, and a side over very cold, very lumpy potatoes, and soggy french fries. I was wondering whatever happened to our School lunch Lady, now I know, she opened a restaurant.

Coming through North Richland Hills we were looking for a place to grab some lunch and came upon the Blue Mound Cafe. This is exactly the type of place I like to take in, so we stopped in! Walking in, the country music on the speaker system welcomed us about the same time the Hostess did, and we were escorted to our table. There were a LOT of choices on the menu here. I was tempted by the amazing Breakfast menu, but decided upon a Chili Cheese Burger with Hand-cut Fries. It ended up being a great choice, though looking at everyone else's food around us I am not sure there are any bad choices here!

It was so oily it started dripping with the slightest touch. We've eaten here before and the food was actually pretty good, so maybe Saturdays come with a different and special cook. Today, though, it was a caricature of a true greasy spoon. Here's the thing: you can have rude waitresses if the food is amazing. You can have an old, run-down restaurant if the food is amazing. You can even get away with both. What you can't have is bad food, bad attitudes, and décor that looks like everyone stopped caring years ago. Congratulations--you've managed to hit the restaurant trifecta. We won't be back. Good luck. Judging by the collective mood in the place, I'm guessing someone dropped a house on your sister. Sorry for your loss.

My meals: Deviled Egg Salad Sandwich - This was very good, so VERY good. Every bite was packed with flavor, and the sweet bacon topped it off. The multigrain bread was fresh and paired perfectly with the egg salad. Side: Pickled Cucumbers - I could eat these daily; they're spectacular. - Cheesy Eggs & Avocado Toast: This meal was a huge disappointment. The eggs were described as very creamy and fluffy, and that is what you were served. They were nice. My main issue was the avocado toast. "Crushed avocado" is how it was described. I feel that was misleading and should be corrected. This was an avocado spread w/ crushed red pepper and sea salt. A spread that was already turning brown when received. The bread (French) was toasted and buttered with salted butter, which completely ruined it. It was way too salty and actually made the top of the bread soggy. Speaking of soggy, that same thing happened on the bottom. The steam from the eggs soaked into the bread, which made it unpleasant. Other than the eggs, I threw it away. A total bust! - Grilled Idaho Trout: When I order fish, I know I'm taking a risk. So easily, depending on the fish, it can often be overcooked. With this trout, it was cooked perfectly and seasoned very well. The meal is filling, and I ate it for lunch and dinner. The veggies were the side show for me, but they served their purpose and were tasty. Sides: Cucumber Lemon Sparkler (non-alcoholic) So refreshing, I love their new sparkling refreshers! Campfire Cookies: What a great addition; these will definitely be a hit. The caramel can be a bit much, in particular when it comes to storing the cookies. You may want to omit the sauce or get it on the side. Either way, these cookies are delicious! BBQ Chips: These were okay; they could have been fried a bit longer. They were inconsistent. Chili Garlic Cucumbers: SCORE! SO, GOOD! Just make sure you eat them as quickly as possible. They tend to lose their "crunch" if they sit for too long. Not best to be eaten as leftovers. Overall, I love Lazy Dog for the variety of foods and for their creativity. I appreciate menus that cater to the seasons; it always gives me something new to look forward to, or even my seasonal favorites.
