I came here on mother's day with my family and they didn't complain for once. I loved the special appetizer, it was giving charcuterie in Italy. The Ciopino was so good, it had so much seafood and was well seasoned. The pasta under was soo good and the sauce was amazing. The chocolate cake was a good ending to it all. The service was pretty good for a holiday too. I liked the dimmed lights and the bathroom was very clean and aesthetic.

First of all the service was a 10. Just absolutely fantastic. The manager stopped by midway to check on us, which was a very nice touch. Everyone was incredibly accommodating. The food was delicious. The decor was very comfortable. Clean, inviting, just a good time overall.

The location was interesting. My husband called to make reservations but didn't realize there was a restaurant and an express restaurant? No one told him on the phone there was any difference so we ate in what looked like a diner. It was nice, but not what we originally anticipated. The server was kind and very patient with us. We had a large party and she was on point, never missed a refill for an empty cup and pre-bussed the table so we didn't have plates infront of us the whole night. My husband had the bolognese and my biggest regret was not getting it too. It was creamy and the pasta was tender and delish! I got the chicken Francese and it wasn't my favorite dish in the world, it was OKAY, not worth getting again. But that bolognese - id move mountains for. I ended my meal with the carrot cake, which was good in flavor, loved the amount of shredded carrot in it and the cream cheese frosting was a good consistency. My only 2 complaints for lack of 5 stars were it was far too cold in the restaurant we all needed jackets, and I feel like my bones hurt for hours after leaving. Secondly, one of the bussers had overly full hands and dropped a knife with pasta sauce on it (from someone else in our party's plate) on my mother in law and it got sauce on her brand new white jacket. It would have meant a lot for at the very least her coffee or something small to be comped as this was a server error.

A usual place I go to, the food is always great when I come here. The bread service always tastes fresh and it's delicious with the oil. The servers are always so attentive. Came here for a quick bite to eat during my lunch break and they accommodated. Loved our waitress, she had black curly hair and glasses and it was her birthday! The drinks were good, I don't think I was expecting the watermelon sangria to be on the bitter side but it still was so refreshing. If the weather is nice, i highly recommend the outdoor seating. They have a very comfortable outdoor patio.

Staff is warm and friendly. Atmosphere was elegant. The food amazing!!!! Portions are incredible and our waiter was very professional and knowledgeable. We love a good sense of humor with waitstaff and he scored an A+. The only thing I would change is the music playing. It was EDM music - I would have preferred piano music or Italian music. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

A definite hit. This is our go to for work dinners when teammates travel to see us and the Trattoria didn't disappoint. Great service from all it waitress. Personable and attentive: dynamic combo. Even on a Tuesday, restaurant seemed busy. Wonderful vibe of intimate and cozy without trying too hard. Place was warm and inviting. I had the pork chop with fluffy mashed potatoes and nice kick with vinegar peppers, delicious! Highly recommend!

The Malted Barley is a craft gastropub that opened in Westerly, Rhode Island in May 2011. It was…read morefounded by husband and wife Colin and Stephanie Bennett. The two met when they both worked at a brewery in Honolulu. Once returning to Rhode Island, the couple decided to open their own gastropub in Stephanie's hometown of Westerly. Dubbed "The Malted Barley", the business focused on craft beer paired with gourmet pretzel sandwiches. The pretzel dough is made fresh daily, and every pretzel is rolled and stuffed by hand. After much success, the Bennetts looked to franchise their business model. After signing a licensing agreement with investor Ron Koller, a second Malted Barley opened in Providence in March 2016. In March 2023, the Bennetts closed the original Malted Barley in Westerly so that they could focus on their flower farm, Echo Rock Flowers, as well as their family. The Malted Barley in Providence continues to run under the ownership of Ron Koller. I visited the original Westerly location of the Malted Barley in 2014 while I was on a craft beer bus tour. I was so impressed with their excellent craft beer selection and delicious gourmet pretzels that I decided to make the gastropub a stop on my craft beer bachelor party bus tour three years later. I was very sad when I heard that the original location closed down, but I took comfort in knowing that a second location still existed in Providence. I recently visited the Providence location for lunch while I was passing through the area. When I walked in, I immediately smelled the freshly baked pretzels. For food, I ordered the "Barley Bacon Beast Burger" (75 % beef 25 % bacon patty, pepperjack cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, more bacon w/ a side of ketchup) on an Everything Pretzel. It really hit the spot. I must add that these pretzels are essentially a hybrid between traditional Bavarian pretzels and New York-style bagels: salty and crunchy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. While looking over the beer menu, I was surprised to see that the Malted Barley now brews their own house beer in addition to guest taps. I ordered a taster flight that featured Malted Barley's "Banana Bread" (Traditional Ale) and "Monster Juice" (Hazy IPA), as well as Long Live Beerworks' "Invisible IPA" (hazy IPA) and Phantom Farms Brewing's "Coarse Woody Debris" (Saison). All of the beers were very refreshing and paired nicely with my pretzel sandwich. I still miss the original Westerly location, but it's nice to know that you can still find delicious pretzels sandwiches paired with craft beer just a little further away.

This is a small eatery (I counted max 39 seats between tables and the bar) with difficult parking…read more I was able to get a spot right in front b because I went to lunch, but the parking lot has signs saying it is for employees of the wood shop next door, and no trespassing in the lot across the street, so I think street parking is the only option? Service is great, very attentive and friendly. The food is what earns this three stars. I tried a stuffie, German onion soup, a Farmhouse burger, and a key lime Mason jar. The stuffie was a little small, and most of the flavor was imparted by the ham and the squeeze of lemon. The German onion soup, I'm not sure why it was German except to not be French? Outside the name difference, the onions were way too large, and there was a total lack of flavor going on in the soup. The crock was very large too. The burger and fries looked pretty good, and I enjoyed the flavors here. The fries were rough hewn, so there was good crispness from all the edges. The toppings of the burger, and the bun, were also hearty. Unfortunately, my medium rare burger was more like raw meat with surface browning. I'm a big fan of rare steak, but ground beef needs a little more cooking. Also, the house made ketchup is really more of a marinara sauce. If I'd ended up eating more of my plate before they took it away to re-fire the burger, I would have asked to replace the ketchup. The key lime Mason jar was e everything you want to wrap up a meal. Great flavor, lightness, citrus. I did have to bring most of it home but, unlike the burger they brought back in a box, I'm excited to get back into the key lime. From an accessibility stand point, there is no ramp to get in nor handicap parking, so the evidently don't want your business. Once you're in, there are some seats you could get in, but if this place were full it would be difficult to navigate for anyone. The bathroom is a single room, but very spacious and nice. So, mixed bag for access. Your mileage may vary, but I'm not racing to return.

We both ordered the Classic Smash Burger, one with cheese and one without. Unfortunately, both burgers were utterly tasteless, with virtually no seasoning detected at all. The Chomp Sauce that was supposed to elevate the burger was so sparse it barely made an appearance, leaving the burgers bland. Honestly, the bun was the best part. The brussel sprouts I ordered also lacked flavor and seasoning aside from the char, and his Cajun fries were so salty they were nearly inedible. After driving from Massachusetts to Rhode Island as a special Mother's Day treat, it ended up being a very disappointing experience, especially given the overwhelmingly positive reviews. We may have caught them on an unusually busy night, but unfortunately our meals fell far short of our expectations.
