Great spot in Cumberland! The restaurant is smaller than I thought it would be and it's a little loud in there. However, the interior itself is beautiful and I enjoyed our seating arrangements. I would definitely recommend making a reservation if you choose to go. We started with complimentary bread and butter. Not my favorite complimentary bread- I found it dry and not cut very well. However, free is free! My iced tea with mango was very good though. I definitely recommend some of their flavor shots and as a helpful hint- their refills are not free. I ordered the chicken Alfredo. The wait time was long (around 45 minutes) but not unpleasant. Our waitress was apologetic but I didn't find the wait to be incredibly egregious. When the food did come out I have to say it was some of the best Alfredo I've ever had. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and crispy, pasta was cooked well, and the Alfredo was creamy and perfectly thick. Almost like an Alfredo Mac and cheese. They're not giving the food away and I do think some portion sizes could be more generous for the price point. However, my dish was exceptional and our waitress was very kind so I have no issue with giving Pat's a 4 star ranking. read more

We walk in and we were asked to wait for a table the restaurant was half empty so the hostess made believe she was cleaning the table for us but she did not clean nothing she made us wait for no reason right then I should of left . As for the food let's start with the apps the fried mozzarella was absolutely refried frozen. next app was the calamari very good a little under cooked for me but still good. the pork's chops were chewy and lifeless . My son hated his chicken Parm, again not hand breaded definitely frozen. we will not be back. I hate to leave a business, a one star but between the hostess and our waitress, constantly correcting us telling us there's no free refills, they leave me no choice but to be honest to my fellow yelpers. we are a older couple we know most places don't have free refill DUH my wife took the left overs and when I got home I trew them in the trash. times are hard for everone we want to try new places but with such bad service and lack of good food we are better off going to the places we have gone to for years. Zero stars. My friends and I decided to try Pat's Italian Restaurant in Cumberland, as we're big fans of the Johnston location. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to our expectations. My go-to dish is the Eggplant Napoli, which is outstanding in Johnston. Naturally, I ordered it here--but it was a major disappointment. The eggplant was burnt and so tough it was nearly impossible to cut. I had even recommended the dish to a friend who also enjoys eggplant, and his came out exactly the same--burnt and inedible. It was incredibly disappointing. My wife ordered the Chicken Christine, which was also overcooked. On top of that, there was barely a tablespoon of marsala sauce on the entire plate. When the waitress asked how everything was, I told her my dish was terrible and that I wouldn't be eating it. She offered to bring something else, but by then I had lost my appetite and didn't want to risk being disappointed again. To make matters worse, when we received the bill, both eggplant dishes were still on it--despite the fact that neither of us ate them and we had voiced our complaints. I asked to speak with the manager, only to be told they weren't in the restaurant. I explained the situation to the bartender, who thankfully removed the items from the bill. Still, the fact that the manager wasn't available and never came over to apologize (or even follow up) is unacceptable. That's basic customer service. This was my 4th visit. Please do something with your acoustics; the sound level, whether at a table or bar, is too noisy...That location has always had the same problem with sound. When sitting at the bar, Christy is definitely who I want waiting on me...she is attentive and gets your drink and food right to you; the other 2 guys...not so much. Tonight I brought neighbors with me and the drinks took too long to get at the bar; I did not enjoy the server! my friends salad was delivered with no dressing and the drinks were so so and pricey. When I arrived, the man at the bar stated that the restaurant was closing in ten minutes because we are on vacation next week. When I called the hostess did not say a thing about closing early and it was not on the web site. When I asked for a second ginger ale, in a small cup loaded with ice, I was charged for two ginger ales. A women yelled, screamed, nasty, said, "Every restaurant in Rhode Island charges for refills." The ladies at the bar refused to give me her name stating, "It is a security violation." Veal was good, not great. read more

Was excited to try this new location in Cumberland. Cumberland definitely needs more restaurants and so this is a welcome edition. Service was alright, our waitress did not wait to put in our entrees after appetizers as requested and it felt like we were being rushed out. Drinks were good, but pricey. The food was okay, nothing to write home about. I had the chicken Sorrento with pink vodka sauce and the homemade pasta. There was an upcharge for the sauce and for the pasta. This made this meal over $35, and it was bland. I never have to season my food at the table but this needed it. I'm not sure if I will return, as there are better options nearby. read more

Not bad overall. To start off, I am not a huge fan of the atmosphere. The dining room is a bit small and that is mainly due to the fact that the bar is so huge. Nothing I can do about that though. The bread was very good, nice and warm and could tell it was fresh. Same goes for the salad (although I did put a bit too much dressing on mine). The mac and cheese bites were amazing but I did not like the sauce too much. I got the Chicken Alfredo for my main course and was not a huge fan. The sauce could have been thicker and the flavor was just ok. The chicken also did not taste spectacular but it was not bad. Overall I would probably come back and try something different. Meh. I think the location for the restaurant is cursed. The last three places closed and based on the food I ate last night this place will not be there long either. Positives: the waitstaff was incredibly friendly. The bartender was friendly. The restaurant was clean, including the bathroom. The atmosphere was bright and open. The drinks were good and the garlic bread was good as well. Negatives: It looks like other people had the chicken parm with the same experience. The ends of the chicken was burnt and the chicken tasted microwaved and bland. The pasta sauce had a strong vinegary taste to it, but was still somehow also flavorless. The orzo soup was also bland and the orzo was to the point that it was almost disintegrating. The restaurant has potential. But I cannot recommend the chicken parm or the soup. Maybe other things on the menu are better. read more

We have been to the Johnston site with friends, this is closer so we tried. Came in with reservations, the two hostesses were busy with a customer placing a takeout order..money was talking, the other writing. Then one hostess went outside perhaps looking for a takeout customer, while the other hostess answered the phone. After 10 plus minutes, one asked us our name, then spent time looking for us in the system. The other came back in, also asked us our name, then another 5 pus minutes figuring out what table in the nearly empty place to put us at. The noise level is incredibly loud. Speakers overhead with somebody's music choice provided background noise, from where we were sitting, we could hear the tvs at the bar, the conversations of the tables across the room...we had a hard time hearing each other. The staff were friendly and attentive, however we noticed that no matter where we looked, staff were moving from one point to another, hostesses moving to the back, wait staff going here and there, two different people coming to our table within minutes to remove salad plates. Seemed overly busy. The salads were uninspired, as somebody else pointed out. The shrimp scampi was pleasing, the chicken parm was ok, just bland and tasteless. The bread was obviously refrigerator dough. We would be back for a quick dinner occasionally if it were not for the noise. read more

Just had a fantastic meal at the newest installment in the Pat's lineage. The food is, as expected, delicious and creative. The service was great - attentive and friendly. You have to try one of the dessert martinis, if you have any room after the sizable entrees, that is. I really wanted to like Pat's, I really did. Cumberland is so in need of a greater variety of good restaurants. The environment is great, location is excellent, and it was easy to make a reservation Now to the food: ordered Arancini, there were 4 pieces that came out. Dug in and the cheese cores were still ice. Not cold, a chunk of ice. Strike 1. The waitress was very apologetic and handlehandled the situation in a very professional manner. The complementary salads that come with the meal came out. They were good, but uninspired. Some lettuce, tomato and olives on a plate. I know it's a salad, it was just presented the way a diner would present a salad, not a place that is trying to be a bit more upsacle. It's not a big deal, simply an observation. The dinners came out, Shrimp scampi was excellent. Butternut squash ravioli was good, just somewhat flavorless. The Pork chop was good, it was served with potatoes instead of the risotto. A very odd mistake. Strike 2 No comments on the drinks as we all had beer. Problems happen, it just seemed that last night Pat's kitchen was having a meltdown. We went here for Father's Day this year first time visiting this restaurant. I always see it on TV and wanted to try it. We visited their location in Johnston very nice decorated and clean restaurant. I'm a chicken parm person so of course I order chicken parm I usually don't get pasta a a side because my wife is Italian and I've had so much pasta in my life I like to switch it up but when I heard theirs is made in house I had to try it. The chicken was cooked perfectly a nice thick big piece tender and juicy. The pasta also was delicious. The sauce was a little sweet I don't love sweet sauce but the rest of the dish being so good I got past that. My son ordered a chicken Alfredo dish which was not so good chicken was dry and little pieces and it came out with gnocchi's which he wasn't expecting. He actually didn't eat much of it. We told the waitress and they removed it from the bill. The waitress was great super sweet and friendly even wished me a happy Father's Day. I honestly can't remember what my wife ordered but I will update after I talk to her and find out. Definitely will return I'd like to try one of their other locations. read more

I may be the minority but I can't say this was good. The first taste of the marinara used in the 2 apps was overloaded with sugar. The apps were just ok, the arangini were not authentic and resemble those that you can find in a freezer aisle at Trader Joe's. Would love to say differently but sorry nothing special. My meal was good. Ordered the salmon came with risotto, it should have read risotto that comes with salmon. Not what I expected. I can't speak for the rest of our party but one of the meals was not touched out of shear politeness. The waitress was sweet but never asked about dessert and then we realized they were ready to close. Don't think I will ever come back. Drinks were good but hard to mess those up and they should be as they took forever! read more

Noisy. 2-10 minutes before a waitress showed. 3-10 minutes before wine came. 4-no wine glasses It was served in regular glasses. 5-Home made pasta, mushy, way overcooked .Cooked in unsalted water so it was blah. 6-worst piece of veal I've ever had. We were seated quickly and the waitress arrived immediately to greet us and take our drink order. Because it was difficult to communicate with the high noise level, she commented that sound absorbing panels were soon going to be installed. It is a nicely designed and tastefully decorated brand new dining room though somewhat stark and thus the loud noise level. As far as menu choices, they are not breaking any new ground, featuring the usual standard Italian-American dishes with emphasis on pasta (their radiatore is homemade and pretty good) and marinara. We enjoyed the calamari appetizer which was crispy, tender and tasty. We all got the added side salad with the parmesan dressing leaving something to be desired be served in a plastic mini take out container. I had the bolognese over radiatore and found it to be well prepared without out excessive creaminess, sweetness or saltiness that can ruin it. The others enjoyed their entrees of braised beef ragout and seafood cardinale. Except my friend thought his chicken Milanese was a bit dry with the sauce served on the side of the chicken cutlet. The service was prompt, friendly and efficient. The pricing was appropriate for the food quality and the location. This restaurant is located in shopping plaza with a Seabra's Market. A bunch of restaurants have come and gone lasting only a couple of years or less in this spot. I wish Pat's all the best, and considering they filled the restaurant on a Saturday night it seems to be off to a good start. I'll try it again soon! read more

Let's start off by saying what a change inside is! They really made it look nice. We sat at the bar which is incredible. I ordered a soda and my daughter had a wine spritzer. Both bartenders (male) were very nice and friendly. On to the food...absolutely wonderful. I had the chicken parm and my daughter had pesto tortellini they really fill your plate so much we were able to take some home. The only issue I had is when we received the bill. They charged me to refill my soda! Now at $3.50 a piece when you are being served in a small mason jar that is absolutely ridiculous. I was never told there was no free refills. I usually at that size drink about 3..thank god I didn't my soda would have cost more than my daughter's alcoholic drink. A large bottle of Diet Coke at the supermarket in that plaza is about $3-4. That right there would have given me more than a small mason jar. It would have been nice to have been told. read more
