This particular location was always my favorite BJs. it had been well over a year since I had last visited and so much had changed. In the past year, I had ordered BJs through Favor and was not impressed with the meal I ordered. I assumed it was because it was a delivery order. This time, I decided to dine at the restaurant. The lunch crowd was almost non existent. The waiter was a nice young man. I ordered avocado eggrolls to share, a wedge salad and an order of mahi mahi tacos. The avocado egg rolls were nasty. You could tell the guacamole/avocado in the eggrolls was old, stale. I could not finish one piece of it and asked the waiter to take it away. The wedge salad was crisp and fresh. The mahi mahi tacos were unimpressive and room temp. Not hot at all. No flavor to them. I am really disappointed since BJs used to be one of my favorites. This will be my final visit to BJs. I don't know if it is just the Round Rock location, but something has definitely changed. read more

My sister and mom order and me and my husband order my sister and mom finished their food and we still haven't received ours. We always enjoy BJ's pizza. This time we tried potstickers and sliders from the happy hour menu. Both were great. But even better than the food was our service from Hannah! She was so pleasant and knowledgable, it was truly our pleasure. We sat at one of the high top tables right across from the bar so we could keep an eye on the various games! We'll be back. read more

Took a big group here after a sporting event and BJ's and Brayden, our server, handled us like pros! Unfortunately, I was unable to eat due to an illness, but hearing the praises from the other folks in the party it appears the food was delicious. I've been to a couple BJ's and the food and service has always been consistent,... so I am sure what I would have ordered would have been good. I was disappointed that they did not offer the Root Beer ribs anymore as that and the brusselsprouts are my GO-TOs at BJ's. Today was the first time I had been to BJ's. My sister took me to lunch today, and I was pleasantly surprised. Service was excellent and food was delicious. I had the Mediterranean Chicken bowl. One of the best things I have ever eaten! I will be definitely going back. Loved the quiet and relaxing atmosphere. We could actually talk. The "icing on the cake" was the Pizookie dessert! We went in for a late night drink & dessert run earlier this week. Firstly, our server was really nice & engaging. He was new at BJs and very polite. The drinks we got were alright, I wouldn't say bad or great.. average. My drink in particular was not mixed well & that resulted in it being very bitter at the top & unbearably sweet at the bottom. Went here for a work lunch and it was pretty slow. Our waitress struggled to keep our drinks filled and our food came out at different times. She lacked personality and any enthusiasm. I ordered the unlimited soup and salad and was not offered any more of either. The place did not smell very clean and I could tell that it was catered toward an older crowd who probably doesn't care during lunch time. By the time we left, it was very busy. The wedge salad was decent but the dressing was extraordinarily watery. The chicken tortilla soup was disappointing to say the least. Will not return to this location. read more

Went to BJ's last night for a group dinner. It seemed a little disorganized, but our drink orders were taken fairly quickly. I had to ask for the happy hour menu twice, but managed to get my order in before it ended. Getting our food was really slow, and one lady didn't get her salad until the rest of us were almost finished. The place was not crowded, so I'm not sure what the problem was. I had their mini pizza which at half price was reasonable ($6.50), HH Chips & guac ($3) and an iced tea. My bill was $16.37 with tip. I used to regularly visit the location in San Diego, CA, and this one has a long way to go to meet their standard. read more

Filthy & Disappointing. Look, I know it makes little sense to review a chain restaurant location but I can warn you before you waste your $ here. We stopped for a burger after a movie. Danger sign 1: paper trash (napkins, whatever) visible in the vestibule in front of server stand. Not good. Seated without any problem - server was polite & friendly but the trash got worse. Under our table - and in the aisle between our booth and those on the other side visible to anyone and everyone - more napkins, straw wrappers, straws and yes, French fries. This trash stayed on the floor the entire time of our visit with multiple servers walking back & forth and through it. What? Our server, who never gave us his name and really seemed bored, then argued with me over our order. While the menu clearly said fries came with burgers & tacos, he said they did not come with tacos. I pointed it out on the menu to him. He said, "I've never seen that" followed by, "It's wrong." Long story short, I finally convinced him just to get me a side order of fries - Jesus, I just want to eat, not argue over whether you or the menu is right [Hint: the printed menu wins.] Next, a trip to the restroom. The hallway separating the men's and women's room has multiple paper towels strewn about the floor. The men's room (no, I did not check the ladies) had more paper towels on the floor, one urinal stopped up with (of course) paper towels and water all over the place. And only one of three soap dispensers with soap. Disgusting. You get it - the place was filthy and food not even average. Clearly this location's manager wants to do something else for a career, so oblige them BJ's and fire them. Never again. read more

We got to the restaurant, and the hostess was taking us to our table, and there was food, straws, a just trash on the floor.. OVERALL VERY DIRTY!!!! Once we were seated, our server came to the table looking very disheveled. I ordered a jalapeño burger that came out so burnt I could not eat it along with ice-cold french fries. The spaghetti was not exactly with the flavorful sauce, tasted cheap and not the quality BJ Brewhouse you would expect. The chicken that comes with my lunch meal was even worst. It was burnt, hard, cold the taste not the best. I had a good time with the friends I was with, but the lunch meal is not what I expected. Safe to say I'll NEVER be eating here again!! I came to sit at the bar and enjoy a couple drinks and I kid you not I hear an employee refer to a young FEMALE server as the B word. I couldn't believe my ears. I brushed it off in hopes it was some personal drama between the employees but NOT EVEN 5 MINUTES later that same young man calls another employee an extremely inappropriate name. I am highly offended and was extremely uncomfortable I asked one of the employees this young man's name and if this was something that happened frequently and he informed his name was Bryan (I did not get a last name) and I was told it is a common occurrence. I came to this establishment on 11/11/2019 with the kiddos. We ordered several food items to include the kids pizza, bacon cheeseburger and 1LB boneless wings. Service: Although my server Theodore was pleasant, the service was slow. Case in point, I ordered a soft drink and it took him over 20 minutes to bring it to me and this is after I requested it for the second time. *the restaurant was not at capacity or busy when we arrived, so there was really no reason for lack of expediting. Food: The wings were small and did not taste like 'Nashville Hot' sauce I requested. I didn't want to send the order back because of the extended wait I experienced with the beverage. The kids mash potatoes were dried out, which makes me sad (and my little one). Non- dried-out mashed potatoes are so easy; the problem with overcooked potatoes is that they absorb a ton of water. When you go to mash them, they'll be soupy and sad. One way to fix them is by placing them in a pot over low heat and gently cooking them. The excess water will turn into steam, and your mash will dry out. So basic. Although I have been here before, it is not my 'go-to' place and I do not think I will be going back soon. Just went for lunch today. We started with Mac n cheese balls for appetizer. My brother got a strawberry margarita (frozen) and a burger with fries. I got the soba tuna sashimi noodles. Great portions and quick service. The server could have been a bit more attentive but she did a good job nevertheless. We refused to eat it and our waitress took it back to the kitchen to get remade. I then asked to speak to the manager. Amanda was the manager on duty. She walked up to our table like a slug. When I told her this was unacceptable that we waited 45 mins for cold food. She did not seem to care. She offered to remake the whole tables food, but no one wanted to wait again except my daughter and I. We waited another 20 mins and we still did not have our new hot food. At this point I was done and asked to speak to Amanda the manager again. When she came out I explained to her that we were not paying for the over priced cold food. I was not impressed by this location. Service: The host on this night (12/14/19) was not very pleasant. Even though this was the peak of the dinner hour, the hostess was not very inviting. She did not greet customers with great customer service. My waiter (Areala) was just okay. It seemed as if she was being rushed and a little overwhelmed. She was able to take requested orders correctly and provided suggestions. Overall, she was really good until she brought my ice cream out and she had her thumb in my bowl. She wiped the ice cream off her thumb and proceeded to assist the next table. One of the things I don't like about most restaurants, is when waiters carry your food on their shoulders with a tray having their long hair sway around the food. In addition, don't like when waiters have too many plates on their arm when plates are sitting on top of other plates of food and the food from the other plate is sitting on the bottom of your plate. Instead of asking for assistance or carrying plates with two hands, I feel this is very unsanitary. Food: I've had some reservation about BJs in the past and I attempted to go back and see if things have changed. Unfortunately, the only they have going is the PZookie and their pizza. I'm not impressed about their other food selections. There is no real "wow" factor and you will see from my pictures, presentation is not their key factor. Overall: Could I recommend BJs...no not really. If asked to go there with some friends, I think I will just order some water and go somewhere else afterwards. BJ's has had a great reputation in the past but I think they have really gone down and not worked on what has got them where thery are now. Ive dropped in a here a few times for brew and a bite. The last time I went (July 2021) they had indoor seating on a limited scale. The tables in the bat area were closed to open seating. Though I was able to sit at the bar proper and received very quick, courteous service from the bartender and food runners. The queso is pretty good and comes in a generous portion. They have good, in house beers, the Kolch style and Red are good. They also have a good domestic and international beer selection too. You might have a little more than usual delay being seated but thats the COVID after effects... read more

The cheese was congealed and cold but this was the "best of the worst" - family sized salad with balsamic vinaigrette: they forgot the dressing so I got a house salad with no dressing. Are orders not checked? -BBQ Chicken pizza: where's the cheese? Where's the ingredients. Do you cooks have bad aim? Why did only the middle of the pizza have ingredients. Also they use stickers to make the box be tamper proof. Except they couldn't be bothered to put any pressure on the sticker for it to stick. I got my pizza with an open box. The pizza looked terrible enough already not to eat, now I definitely won't be eating it. -I requested plasticware, parm cheese, red pepper flakes as these are listed on the menu as selectable items. None of these were selected. -when they were packing the bag, the bag obviously tore. Instead of getting a new bag, they used a sticker to "repair" the bag.
