Denver omelette, breakfast potatoes, and biscuits and gravy. Enough for 2 people!
    Elizabeth A.

I had a GREAT experience ordering from door dash. Prices were fair- for 20.00 my husband and I could share the Denver omelette, breakfast potatoes- then we added gravy to the biscuits for a couple dollars and that was like a whole other meal! Will be eating here again. Thankful to have found a good breakfast spot with biscuits and gravy! Food was plated well and arrived quickly, speaking to good service. I have never been inside as we ordered door dash. But will go in person sometime.

Popped in for a medical seminar. They served a number of choices. I opted for an easy go to. Taco Salad. Boy was i definitely surprised with the presentation not to mention the taste. Food came out hot to the table. The waitstaff was friendly and efficient for the crowd size. It was a relaxing experience, held in the back conference area.

The service was pretty good. We came at a time when they were not too busy and we were able to come in and out rather quickly. We had a good waitress. The tri-tip sandwich was a bit dry, but the chicken crisper we had were pretty good. They have three kinds of hot sauces, which makes it very convenient for those would like different ingredients of heat. It is a nice place, it has a country vibe to it.l, and they serve breakfast lunch and dinner.

8/27 Family Breakfast with In-Laws while they visiting. Was greeted immediately and sat quickly table of 5. Wasn't too busy of a mid morning breakfast. Katrina was our server and she was great. Took our orders quick and food didn't take too long to come out . I had the classic eggs Benedict. It was decent not the best I have had but still good . Everyone seemed to enjoy their food as well. I would still come back try some other breakfast items . Typical diner with cabin like ambiance. Overall good experience. Enjoy !!!!

Of the two locations I do prefer the layout of this establishment over their other counterpart. (They have a cool gift section) The service was great, and accommodating. They were fairly busy and our server checked on us regularly. I ordered the bear's choice which comes with two pancakes, waffle, or two French toast, bacon, ham, or sausage, and two eggs made to order. I ordered two eggs over medium and I chose ham. It was an up charge, but I selected the cinnamon roll french toast and it was delicious. Highly recommend. The only negative I'd note is that the portions seemed smaller than the other locations I've tried. The eggs and ham were certainly smaller/less when I compared my photos of the same meal. Perhaps this was just the day I went, but certainly worth noting.

Came here for lunch during a week day. We had the best server! I wish I could remember her name. She was funny and ensured we always had everything we needed. Our food came out fresh and it was definitely tasty, however the portions were so small compared to the sparks location. I felt like I ordered the kids chicken strip basket lol. Also? I loved their honey mustard. It was my favorite dipping sauce. I'd still come back though!

Brought the family of blackbear diamond ended up getting a signature meal, huge burger and everyone at the table ordered something different from fish to burgers and pancakes to meatloaf. All of it was very good. With the cost of everything nowadays I'm glad we got a decent price and the family enjoyed a good meal with dessert . They ordered the chocolate chip pudding, cake, thing, bread, pudding, and ice cream, and there are no complaints.

I like to order the homemade sausage patties breakfast although my last order I asked for extra butter on my toast & the cook was very very extra with it! I won't ask for something so simple again, but I will check my food before I leave the restaurant next time. Check out the picture & let me know if I wrong This is the restaurant on Virginia!

Service is good, pancakes is always the way to go, i really enjoy there chicken links with my breakfast. fruit is always sweet and fresh. You can't go wrong with grabbing breakfast with them. However i did have lipstick making on my coffee cup to which they grab me a new coffee and cup. P.S They also have non dairy options for creamer.

Well the place was clean i will Give them that. My clam chowder was lukewarm and my corn muffin was microwaved to hardness perfection. Beware the mac and cheese is not the kids kind. My daughter immediately saw that the picture on the kids menu did not match what was on the table. Waitress seems kind of irritated. My pot roast had spots that were hard and weird tasting. My corn on the cob was the best thing i ate. Never had such poor quality food at a Black Bear Diner. What was sad was that i looked around and people were leaving most of their food behind.

Black Bear Diner is always a Reno favorite. We stopped for breakfast this morning and I will admit, it's been a while since we've gone out to breakfast and an even longer while since we've been to Black Bear. At any rate, breakfast was served hot and tasty. Our server, Teresa, was very helpful, friendly, and enthusiastic. She promptly took our beverage and breakfast order and kept our beverages filled. It wasn't very busy this morning so we got seated fairly easily. I had the two eggs over easy with waffle and their famous sausage patties. The waffle could've been a little crispier, because it was a little on the soft side. Teresa even served me extra syrup, which I appreciated and didn't need to ask for. The eggs were perfect and so was the sausage. The hubs had the chicken fried steak burrito from their special list. He always enjoys a good chicken fried steak in general, being from the Midwest, and his burrito did not disappoint. He said it was quite tasty and he would order it again. It's always rather noisy in the black bear, but that's OK because if you talk up a little bit, you can still have a good conversation. And we always seem to encounter friends when we eat there and today was no different. The Dennis Family was just leaving, as we were being served our breakfast, so we chatted for a bit before they left to begin their day. We had forgotten how much we enjoyed going out to breakfast, so we're going to start eating breakfast out at least once a week and Black Bear will be on our list of places to return and enjoy.

We love Black Bear Diner for breakfast on a good ol' weekday! We've been going traditionally once a year now for a few years every September. The servings are perfect size and always consistent. We love the cozy feel and the diner vibe. Now that we have a little baby, this is the first place that offered us a coloring sheet and crayons. What a great time!

    Sarah J.

The portion sizes here are unreal. Prices are affordable. They did get our eggs wrong and were a bit undercooked. The biscuits were pretty good. Slightly doughy in the very center. I would probably come back to give it another try and try something else.

We found parking right away. We noticed the large banner outside touting best burgers. Was craving fish and chips, buttttt decided to go with a burger. Ricardo was our server.. we were greeted as we were stepping through the door. Told to take a seat anywhere. Ricardo recommended "any" burger with a smile. I asked whether I should order onion rings or fries, he said order the Texas Toothpicks.. Combo of beer battered onions and jalapeños. Ok let's do this. Richard's must have checked in on us 5-7 times during our meal, great service! Actually we had an entire conversation about his service, friendly, efficient, quick, chatty, and gets the order right! Order Bloody Mary served with banana pepper, green olive and lime.. no salted rim, which is fine, missing salty component for me BECAUSE I LIKE SALT... Drink was GOOD. Bloody Mary and Corona brought icy cold within two minutes. Jalapeno burger and fries son loved his burger! Son felt his burger had appropriate amount of salt and great char crusting. Garlic butter burger and Texas Toothpicks which is beer battered onions and jalapeños. In my opinion this burger starts with the bread.. Delicious soft bun that actually fits the patty. The patty had a nice sear on it, it was under seasoned and almost well done. The burger was lacking salt component to complement the garlic. Had the burger been seasoned, and had I have ordered it medium rare, (my mistake) it would have been really good. The burger did come without condiments which I appreciate because I can put my own in appropriate amounts to my liking. I added a pinch of salt, no complaining and we were good to go! I didn't even eat 1/4 of my food! The burgers and portions were HUGE!! The Texas Toothpicks were really good, a good fry was achieved on them. They held up to being dipped in ranch. 1/2 order hot wings and fries The wings were ordered breaded and hot. They had a good crisp, and were fried appropriately! Good amount of salt. The fries were served super crispy, piping hot and perfectly salted. The order came with carrots and celery without having to ask. Ranch.. Ranch is a serious condiment in our household with food like this. It was good. An appropriate amount was served with wings, and of course for us fries and ranch go hand in hand. The restaurant was clean, all staff was friendly and great service!!!

The Prime Rib burrito was so tender and juicy with a fried egg in the middle, definitely a special item for sure. The Onion Rings were tempura style fresh made in house...no frozen bag crap here. For my husband they were a hair on the doughy side but they weren't greasy at all which a totally appreciate. I absolutely loved the White Linen -- and that's saying a lot because I'm usually not much of a gin drinker. Tonight I also tried the Blueberry Lemon Drop. I also tried two of their specials -- the Salmon with Alfredo sauce and the Tenderloin sliders. Again, Alfredo normally isn't my thing, but the Salmon was cooked beautifully and the sauce was very enjoyable, especially since they accommodated my request for a lighter amount. Since I couldn't decide between dishes, I ordered the tenderloin sliders to-go as well... and they were delicious too! Our server Miguel was new and did a really good job. It was also nice seeing GM Drew working the restaurant floor as usual.
