This spot falls into the category to me as Granite City Brewery or Voodoo Brewing, a chain that has very little interest in the craft nature of their beers. The food is fine, way too overpriced for what you get, and absolutely very little flavor. I will say the beers are good, their beers. They do a real nice job making sure that your experience is the same with the beer every time. As far as service goes, they have always been excellent. I think I sat at the bar at every visit and they have always been very attentive and nice. While I wouldn't really go out of my way way to order a $17 flatbread from here, I would come in to have a few beers and conversation with friends. read more

We decided to give BJ's Brewhouse another try, this time with just our family of five, hoping for a better experience after our previous visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was clean, spacious, and we were seated fairly quickly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server, Laura, greeted us promptly and was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. We ordered three kids' meals (chicken strips with fries, mini corn dogs with fruit, and mac & cheese with broccoli). My husband and I both ordered burgers, taking advantage of the Wednesday burger special, and requested them cooked medium. The kids' meals came out incredibly fast. Laura explained that she wanted to bring them out as soon as they were ready so they wouldn't sit under a heat lamp and so the kids could start eating, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, it was nearly 20 minutes before our meals arrived. When our burgers were delivered, Laura let us know fresh fries would be coming shortly because the fries on our plates were cold. The replacement fries were excellent--hot, fresh, and delicious. Unfortunately, while both burgers were served hot, they were cooked well beyond the medium temperature we ordered. They were very overcooked and dry, which was disappointing. By the time Laura was able to check back with us, the kids had already finished eating and were getting restless, making it difficult to have our meals remade. When we mentioned that this was our second disappointing visit, Laura immediately apologized and said she would speak with the manager. She returned and let us know that the manager, Neil, had removed both burgers from our bill, which we appreciated. However, given that this was our second poor experience--and especially considering we were using a $50 BJ's gift card that had been provided after our previous disappointing visit--we were surprised that the manager never came to our table to speak with us personally. A brief conversation or acknowledgment would have gone a long way toward making us feel like our feedback truly mattered. Laura provided friendly service and did what she could to make things right, and we appreciate her efforts. A mediocre experience. Waitress was friendly but food was nothing special. Started with the spinach artichoke dip. It was a bit thin and pretty small for almost $15. I got a burger which was greasy. This place is impossible to go to without a wait. Unless you make reservations in advance expect a long wait. I ordered the chicken sandwich with fries. I was expecting there to be honey mustard on it like it says but when it showed up there was just lettuce and chicken. I asked for a side of ranch to put on it and it took forever to get to our table. There also was not a lot of fries. Both extremely average at best. All of our food didn't come out at once either so we were awkwardly waiting for the last dish to come out to eat. Overall this place doesn't have amazing food. It feels like everything is just reheated and not really cooked there almost like a newer Applebee's at a higher price. There was a little insert with lunch specials which included a small pazookie for dessert, all fot $13! I had the unlimited soup & salad. I chose the broccoli cheddar soup. It was very rich, cheesy & a good amount of broccoli. It was so thick that, before the server brought me a spoon, I was able to eat it with a fork! I had the house salad. Nice, fresh greens -- not just romaine or head lettuce -- beautifully dressed with really good honey mustard dressing. My sister had the Enlightened Mediterranean chicken bowl -- a very interesting combination of chicken, quinoa, brown rice and feta, which was also good. The server came by in the middle of our meal to ask what kind of pizookies we wanted, and she even offered to package them to go. They arrived warm, and even after being in the car for a couple hours on a winter day, they still retained a bit of warmth! Everyone in my party got their meals and i had to wait a whole 45 minutes to get mine because they have a new "pasta guy"?! Overall we had a good experience and would come back. The beers and burgers were great. I thought the beers were a little pricey though for something basic. We went on a Sunday around 2pm and there was a wait to be seated?? That seems so odd to me for a basic chain restaurant. This is one of our favorite restaurants. Whenever we go out for something special, we go here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It does get crazy busy but if you go earlier around 3 or 4pm then it is a lot quicker.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We did go recently at 5pm on a weekend and the wait was only 30 minutes. If you go on certain days they have deals as well. Monday through Friday they have a $13 pizookie meal deal which comes with a choice of an entree (8 options) and a free pizookie. Wednesday the burgers are only $12 with unlimited fries. They also have the bjs beers for $5. They also have deals during happy hour. I love their boneless peppered bbq wings. The mozarella sticks are really good too. If you want a low calorie option they have a flatbread pizza. Almost every server we have had has been amazing. There was only one bad server and I heard she was let go shortly after. Other than that, they have been fantastic. The best part is they bring a snack tray if you have kids so that you aren't waiting forever for their food. read more

I didn't want to wait another 20 minutes for another overcooked prime rib while my family waited. Waitress was clueless as to why I didn't think a warm brown center is not medium rare. $144 for a poorly cooked dinner. My husband & I ate here on Monday with some friends& we had a great server who gave helpful recommendations! We sat in a booth & even though it was in the bar area we were able to talk without shouting across the table which is always a plus for me. Our friends got the gluten free pizza which we tried & it was really good. Our tavern-cut pizza was also really good. I would definitely recommend the sriracha queso! I ordered the lucky duck drink & also their prickly pear lemonade which were both delicious! You can buy the bathtub for an extra $10 which my friend & I were going to buy they were running low & told us we couldn't buy them that day but that they would likely have more in 2 weeks & we could buy them then. However, if you have a seafood allergy, your options are limited because they fry the seafood in the same fryer as the french fries and wings.
