I feel like the staff is trained to be your best friend first and foremost, because everyone that works here seems like the nicest person ever. One of the times we came we told the server we were trying to make a show time at the nearby movie theater and she made suggestions on what is delicious and would not take a super long time to arrive... She was spot on with her suggestions too, because that Deep Dish Ziti is perfect! They also have good fries, the recipe developers know their flavors. It's all very tasty. We've been a few times now and have not had a bad experience yet. My only issue is with the gigantic menu, though not as bad as Cheesecake Factory, it is daunting to read the entire bible to make sure you're not missing out on something that you would have loved had you known it was there. To save you a little menu study time, my recommendations are: Deep Dish Ziti Santa Fe Salad Tuscan Tomato Bisque Nashville Hot Boneless Wings Hickory Brisket & Bacon Burger Southern Comfort Chicken Sandwich Cookies and Cream Pizookie I normally give chain restaurants a hard time because flavor and heart get watered down when they get into the industry of mass appeal and profit margins, but this place has yet to let me down and I hope it always stays true to the current spirit it has. read more

I love BJ's food. Their avocado egg rolls are to die for. Something different you don't see at other restaurants. I love their mahi and shrimp tacos and of course the pazookie's. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I ordered the strawberry splash drink which was 11.25 (a little high in my opinion) and couldn't feel the alcohol. For that price you should definitely feel it. No more alcoholic drinks for me here. I'll go to happy hour at Applebee's to get 5 or 6 dollars margaritas. You can def feel theirs. read more

This was my very first visit and I got something to-go as I typically do from a lot of places. I tip on the high side for good service, even for to-go. I ordered ahead and went to pick it up (they said 25 min). They have carside and parking spaces designated for it. Apparently today they weren't coming out to cars because no one ever came so I went inside after about 10 minutes. The restaurant had customers but was not busy. There was no one waiting to be seated but there was one other person placing an order for take out. She looked annoyed grabbing anyone who walked by who might take an order. After the 3rd person told her they didn't take orders she just walked over to the bar area. I waited another 20 minutes while wait staff, hosts, hostesses, and even a manager walked back and fourth confused looking. It seemed like everyone was frazzled, debating about who was working which section, who was staying on shift, who was just getting there to work, etc. No one was arguing or anything, they just seemed to not know what was going on or who was actually even working. 5 different people told me they were unable to ring my order up which was sitting out on the podium at the front. I finally got my food after over an hour after placing my order. The food was on the good side but cold because it sat. A slightly more fancy Applebees-ish type of food. I'd give this two stars usually but they ARE newly open and probably need to work out the kinks. I have high hopes so I'll be back in a month or two. read more

To add insult to injury, we wanted to place a carry out order, and instead of her taking the order and bringing it to the table, as thousands of severs have done, she sent us to the carry-out counter. We visited during lunch. With 4 adult meals, 1 child's lunch and an appetizer ordered we had a large variety of food. The appetizer (calamari) was delicious but was smaller than we thought it would be. The specially made pops were very good, in particular the cream soda. Nice they offer unlimited free refills too. The chicken tortilla soup was good with just a hint of spice. Again portion could have been a bit larger. The menu is enormous with an over-abundant number of options. The variety of burgers we ordered came out perfect, including the smothered steak burger. The chicken, broccoli and cheese stuffed potato had good flavor but was just a bit over-cooked. New location that recently opened, very big and clean, plenty of seating and a huge bar. We went early before the rush so we only waited about 15 minutes. All the servers use an electronic tablet to place your order-with the place being so new it seemed the server was still unfamiliar with it and it took more time to use that then if she were to write our order on paper, the old fashioned way. We got stuffed mushrooms as a starter-it was good but not very warm. For my entree I ordered the Santa Fe salad with shrimp. It was just ok, nothing I would order again. We also shared a chocolate chip Pizookie which was amazing. Overall I think this is a good place for a large group, or to watch a game. Usually I enjoy eating here. However I suggest no one order curbside when its COLD outside. I clearly ordered curbside, waited 10 mins thinking my order wasn't ready yet. 10 mins passed I went inside yo find out if my order was ready. The young lady said your order is right here. I proceeded yo ask her I had to come inside since no one was bringing me my food. The YOUNG lady proceeded to tell me my order wasn't curbside. The hostess then sits us in the back corner of the bar. We then still don't get served. And so we left without incident. The manager happens to be outside at the time as we are leaving and asked what happened. We explained and he said he wanted to make it better. So we continue to go on our way. Fiancé and I went last night for a late dinner. Our server was great. I never got her name unfortunately. We were sat in a booth in the bar area, and while my beer flight took a bit to get to me, I enjoyed the atmosphere and didn't care about the wait much. We got the mozzarella sticks and they were presented great and tasted even better than they looked. We put in our order for our main meals. I got the California chicken club (as I always do) and my fiancé got the hickory brisket burger. Our food came out in a timely manner and tasted so fresh. (I can tell when food sits for too long as I'm a cook at a different restaurant). BUT LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THE BURGER. I love myself some nice brisket. And I regret I didn't order it. My sandwich was delicious, don't get me wrong. But I am sitting writing this review a whole day after because I CANNOT get over the single bite of the burger my fiancé gave me. When I say melt in your mouth savory and flavorful, I mean it with my soul. I frequent BJ's but have never tried this burger because I usually stick with past things I've ordered and I hate that I never have tried it. I will regret it for the rest of my life because I didn't know I could possibly have such love for a burger. Seriously people, get this burger. We stopped on a road trip, just looking for some decent food that was still open, and I was really pleasantly surprised. I got the ribeye medium-rare with asparagus. Asparagus is my favorite veggie, and it's _always_ an upcharge at restaurants, and usually a paltry amount. No upcharge, and a very generous and well-prepared serving! Similarly, the steak was very well prepared, wonderfully seared without being overcooked internally. Additionally the space is nice and airy, very comfortable. My son picked BJ's in Taylor to go and eat as we celebrated he and his girlfriends graduation. I had been to BJ's several times but not this location. Well let me tell you I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN!! Everything started out ok and about 10 mins into our visit I went to the restroom and when I came back to the table the table looked like a earthquake hit. There was strawberry lemonade spilled all over the table. Turns out the waitress spilled it and it took forever for them to come back with towels. My son stood up and he was totally soaked with lemonade! I was so unhappy! I had to have them come back to re-wipe the table. They left the ice and drink on the floor. I was like really what if someone slips. Anyway the food comes and they had given me my salad on a DIRTY DISH! At first I thought it was just that the cook wiped some of the dressing off the plate but then I took a closer look. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! I sent it back and wouldn't order another entree. The only reason I gave them two stars is because I did enjoy my dessert. But they didn't even comp my son his drink after spilling it all over him. So not cool!!! I still have the waitress a 15% tip (I usual tip at least 20%) cuz I'm sure they would have said I didn't tip cuz I'm black. NEVER GOING BACK TO THAT LOCATION!!! read more

Hit and miss on food quality. More miss than hit. The food is great once in a while. Services has always been good.

We had a large party on a Friday with 15 kids and about a bunch of adults. The wait staff worked hard to get our orders correct and serve all of us. We were thoroughly impressed with how they were able to accommodate us and get our orders and drinks correct. They kept apologising but I have no idea what for! They we're doing great and promptly fixed whatever issues that came up while remaining friendly. Thanks for making our night enjoyable. We really appreciated it. read more

Ok, so this place has most certainly become our favorite restaurant. I wanted to write another review and give it 5 stars... then this happened :( We went here to celebrate some really great news my family received and didn't think to make reservations...dumb on my part, as it was a Saturday evening at 6pm. Anyway... we get there at 6 and I put in a hold for 6 people. She says it will be about 45-50 minutes. So we wait....and wait...and wait. After about 90 minutes, we finally get seated. What we ordered: 1 order of calamari 1 mini pepperoni pizza 1 small pepperoni pizza 1 turkey club - with mashed potatoes 1 salad (not sure which kind it was) 2 rib dinners - one with fries, the other with mashed potatoes 2 bowls of clam chowder So many things went wrong, that it's easier to just make a list. 1. no sauce on both pizzas 2. the dough on the mini pizza was brown and gooey 3. no mashed potatoes with the turkey club (brought out fries) 4. one bowl of clam chowder came out and the 2nd never did (when asked about it, she went back to get it and said they were out - gave my dad a to-go cup of it as we were walking out) 5. a SUPER long hair in my boyfriends mashed potatoes 6. after already waiting about 45 minutes for our food, we had to wait another 10 for the pizza to be remade (this time with sauce) 7. bread on the turkey club was so hard that my dad didn't eat most of it (especially the crust) 8. the pizza was very underwhelming for the cost. $11.75 for a mini pizza that probably wouldn't even have satisfied a child Our most recent visit was yesterday... We ordered the top sirloin, which was cooked perfectly, but extremely tough. The asparagus was super undercooked. But the turmeric cauliflower was SO good. Our friends ordered a sandwich and weren't impressed, and they ordered a pizza and sweet potato fries for their kids. The fries never came out...they ended up getting them in a to-go container as we left. The steak wasn't terrible but it was most certainly not worth the $20. I still stand by what I said in my first review... if they were to narrow down the menu, I sincerely believe their food would be of better quality. Instead of trying to have something for everyone...just stick to serving the things you're good at making. read more
